Happy do you know where the Phan ship name originates? I assume it came from the fandom then was at some point acknowledged by Dan and Phil? Also why was it that they never tagged #Phan on their tumblr posts but mentioned it by name in vids? Ty x

When ELs/GAs say everything before ACOSF is basically irrelevant and I'm like..... so .... in a series where the author has said the first 3 books are about the main character and the rest are SPINOFFS....

Belated Jessica Jones rant

Ever since the show started there's been the recurring theme of Jessica doing things by the book: get proof, get criminal, send to jail.

So when Jessica encountered the first antagonist AKA Kilgrave, she tries her routine while also knowing that no normal jail can hold him, so she tries the next best alternative to that but when all fails, she ends up forced to kill him.

In season 2, Alisa is the antagonist. Again she tries her routine but when Alisa does go to jail, it's the wrong kind, she's too strong and unstable for normal prison, (despite having accepted a deal which would not send her to The Raft) and because that fails, she ends up dead too.

In season 3, Trish is the secondary antagonist, and she forces Jessica's hand to fight her. Eventually she does send her to jail, the "right" kind according to Jessica, The Raft. And it works, Jessica sacrifices her best friend, the only family she has left in order to not have her end up like the other antagonists whose stints in confinement did not work.

And I suppose it does seem like a consistent sequence of events for the series but it does not make it a fair one. Because how do you send the weakest of the antagonists to the strongest of prisons?

Is it because Trish was never arrested by the NYPD first? Because they did not have the great Jeri Hogarth who can strike deals out of thin air representing Trish? Because the evidence against Alisa Jones is much more damning than anything Trish did (literally just killed criminals).

IMO it was a cop out by writers who knew the series was ending with no future plans of a reboot, and wanted to leave with a bang. Not a bad watch at all, but sure a messed up one.

tagged by the lovely @missatan! thank you so much! We get to see ten years (almost) of progress! the dates of the top row is 2015, 2016 and 2018. The bottom row is 2020, 2022 and 2024! She's almost constantly looked the same from late 2016 till 2022ish and then i finally caved and updated her looks and i love her now much more. Anyway, there's the journey of my main OC basically from her creation in ts4 to now. tagging @diactrl @salemsimss @hell-dusk @blackskorpi0n if they wanna do it and anyone else that wants to!

So for today's mdzs edit/meme I decided to include a crossover post with ANOTHER piece of media that changed my life (idolish7) and their own canonical gays: Re:vale (this is also technically a crossover with the i7 shitposts I was gonna make/post this month for my birthday (along with another fandom) but yeah). This was made near the end of my initial mdzs hyperfixation before idolish7 (and many other idol-related/adjacent media) completely took over me for the next year or so.

I don't think I have to explain why these two are similar if you're familar with both series, but if you don't then all you need to know is that they are LITERALLY. THE SAME. Like when I watched second beat for the first time and Re:vale was introduced I was thinking "THIS IS LIKE WANGXIAN BUT THEY'RE IDOLS!".

Also fun fact: Yuki(guy with white hair)'s VA also voices Lan Wangji in the Japanese dub of the donghua and Momo's VA voices Wen Ning in the Japanese voice drama.

And if that wasn't enough to convince you to try the other then:

Safe to say that they have a similar level of unhingeness (and yes these are both canon). Which couple is worse? You tell me.

And the Re:vale guys also had an official vampire AU last year and in an anniversary livestream Momo's VA said that he'd want vampire Yuki to suck his blood but anyway-
