sometimes i think about the realness of anidala’s stories. boys much too young sent off to war; their lovers taking on the emotional burden of being their relief. i think about how padmé, as a senator, would have her own struggles and worries to face alongside stressing that her teenage husband wasn’t going to return from the frontlines. i wonder if she was able to talk about it when they met up, the same way we see her constantly listening to his ongoing turmoil— especially during the latter half of the war. or, maybe, they just sat together. two people charging head-first into different types of battles because they felt they had no other options. i have to do this.

honestly i think a lot of nuance to Mr. Collin's character is lost in most P&P adaptations when they cast him as a guy multiple decades older than his book age. this man is twenty-five years old and fresh out of seminary. he does things like apologize for fifteen minutes straight and start conversations in socially inappropriate ways he's not a Creepy Older Relative he's the guy who went to college and now thinks he knows shit but also somehow learned almost nothing there and is probably actually a lot more anxious than he lets on. casting him as an older guy gives a vastly different impression of what he's like

When other Yellowjackets fans, majority who are poc themselves, talk about how weird and frustrating it is that the writers introduced a random yte character and gave them a storyline when there were two (technically three but they killed off Lottie even when there was an opportunity for more) woc, who have been around since s1, that could've fit the mold instead (like Mari) and have actual personalities outside of building up/being the lapdog for another character. Or how often times many of the, limited, poc characters are often either treated poorly and killed off, or pushed to the side (Simone, reduced to the disposable black girlfriend trope and is nearly killed by her partner because she's in the way of a ship; Travis, since s1, had his trauma dismissed or ignored and was overly hated but no one talks about how he was SA'd by the girls he's now stuck with on top of having to eat his brother and not be able to grieve over it). How Taissa's whole storyline is just revolving around Van even with all the potential, especially given she's fighting to be free from her own mind, how Lottie's mental illness is treated so poorly as if it's not the butt of a joke then it's met with heavy criticism (and the only time she is met with sympathy for it, it's through the lens of a yte character embodying her and having an emotional conversation with her father). How you can have all of these reasons (and more) for being annoyed by Melissa's character or the direction of the show, and be met with #those fans downplaying these concerns, or just being overly antagonistic just because they find yte character #243 entertaining so obviously these conversations don't have merit. But this fandom has always had an...."interesting" way in which it discussed the poc characters on the show, so I'm not surprised.

The Curator. Her name is Gloria Beatrix. [Achromatic Loop AU]

She can summon close-ranged weapons [preferably daggers] using her blood as an offering to the tattoo of three crows on her skin. The Crows will give her a fraction of its power in return.

The tattoo can move anywhere on her body but is usually seen on her neck or chest.

She doesn't physically show up in the story until way later in the timeline.

AU IDEA THAT DOESNT REALLY MAKE SENSE (everything subject to change)

Ok so. The placeholder name rn is Shadowsoul au I decided it rn without thinking about it too much shhhhhhhh OK SO BASICALLY

Shadow milk’s soul somehow got transported into the pure half of the soul jam and is now this collector type character. He is Pure Vanilla’s shadow and tries to convince him to break his soul jam, freeing his soul and allowing him to return to his body that has been unconscious this entire time, thus allowing the story to play out like usual. Also he misses his handsome face (stupid ass). (My handwriting is ass so I rewrote important stuff in the alt text sorry for using it that way but it’s just easier there I think).

Concept with a placeholder name: Soul Takeover

So basically it’s like Venom but slightly different

Sm can take control of pv’s body, using it as a vessel with pv’s permission and attain a physical form, but since it’s still pv’s body, pv is still in control and can forbid sm from acting out.

The soul takeover would be used mostly for dire situations where they need sm’s help, since his magic is pretty strong but still limited since he’s yknow a shadow.

Also Pv’s soul during this gets transferred to his staff Wait it’s lowkey giving soul eater I just realized ANYWAYZ yeah he’s the staff and he’s some freaky thing where if sm tried to get rid of the staff it would just reappear right next to him.

Also quick note I thinkkkkkk that when his shadow turns into sm (he appears sometime after pv gets his memory back), they both try to keep it a secret for a while (sm can appear and reappear whenever) and he eventually tells his pals, to which sm calls him a snitch.

Idk what’ll happen to the story cuz ik pv not breaking his soul jam ig one of the other beasts can take over the faerie kingdom for a bit idk

Lmfao imagine them pulling up to beast yeast and the other beasts are like “dude what’re you doing!!! Is this where you’ve been this whole time????” Like yes bro Learning the magic of friendship and whatnot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Maybe someday he can get his body back but in a way that pv would approve of, like maybe he gets it at the end of the whole beast yeast stuff.

I like to think that if pv DID break his soul jam, sm would just pick up the pieces somehow and scurry off to beast yeast using the shadows of everything to make it there.
