With the elemental-side of Ashton's history, we got full confirmation that they are the child of Efterin, who was confirmed to be shown directions to an artifact of power by the Tree of Atrophy, because he was destined to take that shard (and I guess the tree just made it easier for him to find, heh), and this artifact ended up being a Shard of Ka'Mort, the Empress of Earth (minor thought but did Ashton consider themselves an enby before, or after, the catastrophe?).

The Tree showed Efterin his destiny, but Efterin was so arrogant that he assumed or tried to force that destiny unto himself, which resulted in the destruction of the Hishari and enfusing his son with the Shard of Ka'Mort and transforming him from a half-elf (other half still an unknown (ish. I know of a 4SD Tal said Aasimar but I'll wait for in-game lore drops)) into an Earth Genasi.

There are two sides left to Ashton. His mother, as mysterious as she is, and of course, the dunamancy sealed inside his brain (side note: I kept getting really annoyed at random C2 fans trying to copium that everything about Ash is Oops All Luxon when it's been clear for a while the elemental and titan stuff is completely separate, but I digress). It's pooooosible that we might be able to get a peek at the dunamancy but based on how they got rushed out of that scene I'm starting to doubt it.

Speaking of that ending, APPARENTLY SOMEONE THINKS BELLS HELLS IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO SCRY ON AND IT WAS SOMEONE THE TREE DIDN'T LIKE.

And unlike the M9 they have no possible route to take to block that shit. No Sasparillas here. That is some goddamn paranoia fuel. WHOMST. HOW MUCH DID THEY SEE. HAVE THEY SEEN BEFORE. DID THEY SEE THEM DOING SHENANIGANS ON A GHOST SHIP. WILL THEY SURPRISE-GANK THE PARTY AT THE WORST MOMENT.

Been scrying the orb a lot lately. Anyone else notice a lot of ominous signs, or is it just me? Might be time to get out the old staff. I think I might need a bigger spell to reveal what exactly is going on here.

In case anyone else has been seeing the signs; what I have seen is this dark mass at the edge of a treeline, or perhaps a shore? It's hard to make out.
