Here's a guide to the rarities and approximate drop rates of the Gravity Falls Doorables set of blind bags that are coming out soon! They're ROUGH!!!
TLDR, if you want more than the commons and maybe a rare, you're better off buying the SDCC set or singles (maybe all singles depending on how much they end up going for)

World Saving Deserves A Reward
Tumblr media
Pairing: Joaquín Torres x female reader (no use of Y/N) Synopsis: Joaquín is back from another mission, and you want to thank him for always being out there trying to save the world. Word Count: 880 Warnings: smut (seriously this is 18+), little to no plot, just porn, blow job (cause I'm on my knees for him)
Tumblr media
Just some Joaquín smut with like 0 plot. I wrote this all on one day entirely on my phone and briefly proofread (sorry if there are mistakes/if it sucks). All the SDCC photos/videos/promos got me back in my feral for Danny era. Legggooooooooo
Tumblr media
You card your fingers through his hair as you straddle his lap on the couch. His hands are resting on your hips, and you're happy to have him back home.
“I missed you so much, amor.” He says, and you lean down to press your lips to his.
“I missed you, too, Joaquín. It’s not the same when you’re not around.”
“I wish I could be with you all the time, baby… you know I do.”
“I know, I know… you’ve gotta go save the world with Captain America” you say with a laugh, and he smiles up at you.
“Don’t I deserve a reward for that?” He asks, quirking an eyebrow.
“I don’t know, do you?” You tease before kissing him again. You kiss lazily, your tongues tracing each other as you re-familiarize yourselves with the intimacy you’ve been missing while he was away.
You feel him twitch against your leg, and you grind your hips gently down on him.
“Hermosa, you’re going to be the death of me.” He says as you part from a kiss.
“Just showing you appreciation for your world saving skills.” You reply with a grin, grinding against him as his head falls back on the couch and he lets out a small groan.
"How do you always manage to get me hard in an absolute instant?" he asks, his brown eyes catching yours, darker now as the lust begins to take hold.
"A talent for sure." you say softly in his ear and then bite gently on the lobe before trailing kisses down his neck.
Your hips continue to move on him, and you feel his hardness pressing tantalizingly against you.  "I wanna suck you off." you whisper in his ear and his entire body shivers. "That okay?" "More than okay, amor." he says as you lean back, tracing your hands over his muscular chest to the hem of his shirt before pulling it over his head and tossing it behind you on the living room floor.
He's looking up at you with pure adoration as you pull your top off as well. You know he likes looking at your breasts, and this moment is all about him. Your hands trail over his chest, tracing lightly over his nipples as he sucks in a quick breath.
You slide off his lap, grabbing a pillow for under your knees, and position yourself in front of him. "You're so perfect." he says, running a finger along your lips. You suck his finger into your mouth for a moment as you unzip his jeans. He helps you tug them down his thighs along with his boxers, so you have easy access to him.
His cock bobs up against his stomach, and you reach for him as he moves his hand up into your hair, holding loosely. You lick slowly across the head of him before wrapping your mouth around his girth and start to move your mouth up and down. You take as much of him as you can, enjoying having this control over him.
When he’s in the field and on missions he has to be dialed in constantly. You love being the one that gets him to let go. You feel so lucky to be the only one that gets to see this completely relaxed version of the man you’d do anything for.
“Ángel...” he mutters, gazing down at you with lust hazing his gaze. You start pumping a hand up and down his shaft along with sucking on his tip. His hand snarled in your hair tightens, and his other grabs for your free hand that is resting on this thigh. He slides that hand along his leg, directing you to fondle his balls.
"Yes, like that." he moans. His noises are one of your favorite parts about getting him off. He’s not always overly vocal, but when you go down on him, he turns into a mess.
You run your mouth and tongue down the underside of his cock and back up before enveloping him once again as he groans. You look up at him, meeting his eyes. His pupils are blown in pleasure his hips are rising off the couch now, meeting your fervor as he chases his orgasm. You let him thrust up into your mouth, trusting him to do what feels good for both of you.
"Mierda. Voy a correrme." he utters, and you know he's close. You love when he's so gone to the pleasure that he gets vulgar, no matter what language he's speaking.
"Let go for me, Joaquín." you say, pulling away momentarily before going back to your touching and sucking.
His salty release bursts on your tongue as he groans and swears above you. You still until he tugs on your hair, letting you know he's all good, before pulling your head free and swallowing what is in your mouth.
“Thank you, mi sol. Te amo.” He says as you move to sit back on the couch with him. He shifts his pants back up and reaches over to caress your cheek with that blissed out smile you live for plastered on his pretty face.
“I love you too, Joaquín.” You say, snuggling against his bare chest as you both relax into the cushions.

Since the upcoming Sweet Sceeams Twyla is SDCC exclusive (and bc I'm poor), I'm making my own out of a cheap thrifted base, and whatever I have at home (paints, polymer clay, ribbon, etc.).
Very pleased with the progress so far!

Some notes from today's new BioWare Blog post, which contained some new character insights and also gave some information on what is coming next and when:
Creative Performance Director Ashley Barlow helped to cast and direct over a thousand conversations in the game
Lucanis is bloodthirsty, calculated, and a workaholic. He was raised with high expectations and fears disappointing those he loves. To him, being an assassin is his only job and identity to be excellent at. He's constantly attuning himself to the kind of shifting terrain of every mission. There's a lot of love between him and Illario
As Zach is a comedian, he would easily find the humor in anything Lucanis was saying
Neve is a Shadow Dragons rebel who cares deeply about helping people and never leaves work half-done. Epler: " [she is] the working class hero trying to make her hometown better"
Emmrich is sincere, friendly, scholarly, sophisticated, eager to teach and learn, a well-meaning but oblivious academic, with a "hot nerdiness". He assumes everyone has an academic's curiosity so can be pedantic on select topics
The Mourn Watch are revered in Nevarra but odd at best and evil at worst outside of it
Nick: "I love the fact that the writers took Emmerich and explored the whole idea of death and the whole idea of necromancing by bringing kindness into it. I really responded to that and got into that and I know it sounds crazy, but it’s to not have this idea that death is vulgar or something to be terrified about, but something to actually engage with on so many levels. I just love the fact that the writers had the courage to do that in a game like this."
"Often Nick is just playing off of someone making a sound, and he takes it and internalizes it and gives it meaning and care, which is amazing to watch."
The world has changed a lot since DA:I
Harding has been leading teams through the wilderness while covering friends in battle
Harding loves her mom. She loves to write letters home and is always talking about her mother. She likes plants and raising plants. She has grown and is a veteran now, a trusted voice at the table
Footage of the full DA:TV @ SDCC companions panel should be available in a couple of weeks
Next month there will be a new roadmap, more looks at the game, and the reveal of the release date
[emphasis mine]
And this paragraph:
"Dragon Age: The Veilguard sees players embark on a perilous quest to face powerful Elven gods and stop the apocalyptic destruction they’re unleashing. You’ll step into the role of Rook, battling on the front lines alongside a deep and compelling cast of companions who together comprise The Veilguard, a group of heroes who have come together to stop the veil from breaking and bringing about the end of the world. Rook must become the unexpected leader who can rally and unite the group. Throughout the game, you can explore the detailed storylines of each companion, navigating love, loss, and complex choices that influence your relationships."

on a positive note, i'm glad that it seems like they're giving louis a full, fleshed-out arc in iwtv s3. over the past year, there's been a fanon misconception of louis that he had no more story to tell- that his journey of self-actualization was functionally over, resolved offscreen somewhere- and that he would take his newfound self-awareness and sense of purpose and channel it all into being lestat's anodyne love interest and support system. (or alternatively, being the object-reward in lestat and armand's epic narrative rivalry.)
i love that iwtv is taking all that fanon and thoroughly debunking it just with the first teaser- louis' arc isn't over, he has a serious ongoing conflict with lestat and lingering problems with daniel, and while he's in a much better place than he was in s1-s2 he hasn't achieved a state of peace and inner wisdom that he's gonna selflessly bestow on the nonblack characters. jacob mentioned louis isn't living in dubai anymore, which is a massive plus- but he's also doubled down on capitalistic expansion and his natural exuberance from when he returned to nola has given way to more of a controlled, restrained demeanor that's reminiscent of his behavior during the interview. (i especially saw shades of s1ep1- "the vampire is bored"- and s2ep2- "shall we let the math of that settle before continuing"- in his scenes with daniel and lestat respectively.)
at sdcc jacob said that louis uses his elegance against lestat and has indicated louis is suppressing some of his real feelings again- and knowing the way black men are villainized in the public eye, framed as aggressive and incoherent and violent for showing even the slightest trace of righteous anger, i'm not surprised that louis has retreated behind some self-protective walls again in the aftermath of the book's publication. louis knows he doesn't have the luxury of screaming and crying and making a scene during litigation like lestat does- he doesn't have the luxury of antagonizing morning show hosts and telling them to blow him like daniel does. he sees presenting himself as a calm, composed, unflappable black man as his only social recourse, even as he harbors obvious feelings of hurt, disappointment and resentment wrt what daniel and lestat are doing to him and his life story. louis tells daniel he doesn't like himself in daniel's book ("i'm glad the book worked out for you daniel"- key words for you- "i didn't like me in it. passive. selfish. a liar. and not the lying to myself kind- the fucking. liar.") and daniel responds by laughing and changing the subject to a part lestat didn't like. lestat starts throwing a tantrum about louis' relationship with armand (something he has no right to berate louis over in any context- yeah armand directed the trial and then went home "canoodling" with one of its victims but lestat enabled that. he could've told louis the truth at any time and spared louis decades of abuse- instead he "gave" louis to armand) and louis makes a deadpan retort but he doesn't call lestat out on his hypocrisy. louis should be allowed space for his rage and indignation- but he's given none, so he has to play a different type of respectability game than the one he played as a human man in new orleans.
i think we'll see this newfound facade crack and louis achieve some catharsis over the course of s3- eventually everything he's burying rn is gonna come bubbling up to the surface and jacob's always been a master at playing those moments, whether it's an explosion of rage or grief (the scene at antoinette's house in s1ep6- louis remembering claudia could dream in s2ep1). this initial conflict-laden setup is a great thing, bc it gives louis somewhere to go as a character, and more to mine from his dynamic with lestat than "they hugged it out and grieved claudia together so now he's gonna be kissing lestat's cheek after concerts and holding his hand while lestat revisits his own traumatic past". parts of the fandom may have largely forgotten (or choose to ignore) the ways lestat harmed louis- and in some ways is still hurting louis with whatever tf he's doing in retaliation to daniel's book- but i'm glad the show hasn't forgotten.

It seems that Jacob didn't go back to Toronto after SDCC, I hope he hasn’t already fisnished filming!
*sighs*
Again. Louis can, by definition, only be in the modern parts of the story (or a "DreamLouis").
As they are filming in blocks, I assume that they will now film chunks where he is not in the story. And he has a family so it is only logical he would fly back home.
I fully expect him to be back as soon as they film more of the modern times (and since the tour ends in NOLA.... latest then).

A notification lights up Assad's screen, letting him know Eric posted on Instagram again. Assad smiles, but before he can click on it, he heards a loud BANG from the kitchen, and a very curious "OH" from his doppelganger.
Assad runs to the door, looking in horror at the microwave door on the floor, the dent in the wall above it, the smoking and --oh it's on FIRE-- microwave, and a wide-eyed vampire standing next to it.
"What did you do?" Assad asks, dropping his phone and running to the sink to get the fire extinguisher.
"There is an experiment where one can put a lightbulb in a microwave and watch it light up."
Assad takes just a minute to stare at Armand in horror, before spraying the extinguisher at the microwave. There is a sizzle, but thankfully the fire goes out.
"You're not supposed to put metal in the microwave, Armand."
"I saw a video of a children's at home experiment, it is possible to be done under adult supervision. And I am an adult."
Assad closes his eyes and counts to ten. "Can I see the video?"
Armand quickly pulls out his i-pad and shows Assad the video.
"Did you put the lightbulb into a cup of water?"
"...I did not."
Assad sighs deeply. "Order a new microwave, then. Don't put metal in this one"
Assad walks over to his phone dropped on the floor, hoping to sink into the bliss of scrolling Instagram when he finds he can't turn it on. The screen had shattered so badly, it broke completely.
"Shit, now I can't like Eric's SDCC photo."

Hello, Nick! Can you share with us some of your favorite scenes into the writing process of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory? Or even some scenes that didn't end up on the show but you liked it?
Gosh, we wrote these so long ago it's so hard to come up with specifics. For the episodes I wrote, I loved writing the scenes in "Halfway Home" between Daniel and Kenji. I have a relationship in my own life that mirrors (to a certain extent) theirs, so to be able to put all of myself into that episode -- my first as a staff writer on a TV series -- was very special for me. It really allowed me to completely open myself up to working with other writers to intimately. I also get a giggle out of the part where Kenji doesn't have the words to describe Daniel's ultimatum, so he just grunts -- I didn't know if it would make anyone else laugh, but it seemed to, so it stayed! That was pretty fun.
"The Drop" was a bit tougher for me, as it was a pretty pivotal moment between Darius and Kenji. In their scene where they struggle over possession of Brooklynn's phone, I really wanted Darius to rear back to take a swing at Kenji, but for some reason, in a show where people are eaten by dinosaurs, throwing punches (or even implying it) was a no-go, but what ended up in there was still really fun and to the spirit of what I was trying to do.
"Batten Down the Hatches" was sooooo much fun to write as a horror and action fan -- I feel like the team really took what I wrote and ran with it in the best possible way! Seeing that one at SDCC with a group of like 800 fans was something I will never forget. People laughed, gasped, shouted at the screen -- it was just such a cool moment for me.
But getting to introduce Soyona Santos was also such a special thing for me. As I've said in the past, getting to write for Dichen Lachman was such a fanboy moment for me, I'm so glad I got to reintroduce her to the world and help usher in a more three dimensional version of the character than there was time for in Dominion. I love the cat-and-mouse vibe of their conversation. There's also the bit that I'm not sure many picked up on where Santos is the one who uses the term, "limb difference" for the first time in the series. Our consultants had taught me that phrase, and I thought it was an interesting choice for Santos to introduce it to Brooklynn. The thinking was somewhere along the lines of, in her quest to get deeper into the trafficking of dinos, she probably didn't have a ton of time to look into how she was really feeling about losing her arm, let alone find anyone else who'd introduce that phrase to her. So when Santos uses it, there's a split second where Brooklynn kinda connects with it. I think it shows that Santos isn't just a mustache-twirly type of villain. She's intelligent, she's hip to how language has evolved, and she might even be a good person in another life. There was a moment where it was called into question whether or not Santos would use the phrase, so I'm especially glad we got to keep it in there.
And don't even get me started on the episodes my amazing colleagues wrote for the rest of the series. They all did such an incredible job, I don't even have enough words to express how awesome their episodes turned out, not to mention how awesome all of the rest of the crew did in bringing the show to life!!

i'm gonna be honest the sdcc stuff wouldn't be so much of an issue if it wasn't for everything else. i totally understand cast & crew not wanting to travel for events or be away from home (many directors leave tv projects for this exact reason for example, esp if they have kids), but then you'd expect to at least get fair treatment everywhere else and push one of your best actors in promotional stuff at least :/
that's the crux of it really bc in isolation him not being at one (1) event is whatever, it's that combined with literally everything else

Daily Fic: Oldest Age
SDCC is over!! I can finally, hopefully get back in the swing of things. I feel like this shouldn't be called daily anymore but I'm not changing it now. So I guess it's here to stay. Anyway, warnings for this, it is angsty and does not end the happiest. It's more of a first chapter because I had so many ideas while writing so cool. Have another wip.
Word Count: 1,927
Other fics and facts
---
Eddie shouldn't have come.
He loved his cousins. He appreciated them throwing him this party. But this just really wasn't his scene.
Or maybe it was? He didn't know.
It was his 21st birthday. He was sure other 21 year olds loved this. Didn't they?
He looked around the bar. His cousins were at a table in the back, talking to another group. He was able to slip away under the excuse of getting more drinks. They hadn't even fully noticed he left, too inebriated to really care about anything.
The designated driver on his own birthday. That was sad. Wasn't it?
He felt like he wasn't always this unsure of himself. He couldn't have been, right? It was just the way his life was going right now.
Pregnant girlfriend - or ex-girlfriend now he supposed. He tried to do the right thing - or what his parents insisted was the right thing - and marry her. But she refused, instead breaking up with him. He was still determined to be a part of his kid's life but he felt adrift. Who was he if he couldn't provide for his family? If he couldn't be there for them?
"You don't love me, Eddie. Not in the way I need you to. And I don't love you the way you need me to. I love us too much to do this."
Shannon was always smarter than him.
He took another sip of his whiskey. It burned going down but that helped ground him. Maybe he could convince his cousins they should just go home.
"Did you know the oldest recorded age anyone has ever reached is 122?"
Eddie blinked, turning to the unexpected voice next to him. A man, around his age, sat on the stool next to him, staring at him expectantly. Eddie wasn't entirely sure what to say, caught off guard. "Uh. Excuse me?"
"I assume you're not that old. And if you are, you look great for your age." The man gave him a once over that had Eddie squirming slightly in his seat. It wasn't that the attention made him uncomfortable. He just knew he shouldn't want it. Not from a man.
"No son of mine is going to live that kind of degenerate lifestyle."
That's what his dad always called it. A degenerate lifestyle. Because of that, Eddie refused to acknowledge how the man filled out his leather jacket. How his thighs were stretching the seams of his pants. How blue his eyes were. It didn't matter. It couldn't matter.
So instead, Eddie turned away, taking another sip of his drink. Maybe the guy would get the hint.
"Not much of a talker, huh? That's fine." The man shrugged, waving the bartender over. He ordered a beer, winking when the bartender brought it over with a flirty smile. So it was like that. The man just flirted as he breathed. Good to know.
"It's your birthday, right?"
Eddie looked at him, startled. "How did you -" He stopped as the man gestured to his chest and head. Right. Eddie lifted a hand to feel the fuzzy headband with the number 21 on it and the bright pink sash around his chest that said 'B-Day Boi' in lopsided sparkly letters. "I forgot I was wearing these," he sighed.
"Lose a bet?" The man asked before taking a sip of his beer.
"More like I have two little sisters at home that were sad they couldn't come. They made these and insisted I wear them." His mom was not pleased that this was how he was leaving the house, but seeing his sisters happy faces made him not care.
"That's cute." The man flashed him a smile that had Eddie looking away. It was boyish, sweet, and way too much to look at. "I think you could take them off now, though."
Eddie glared at the man in annoyance. "I'm not doing that. I told them I'd wear it tonight so until I get home, they're staying on." He fixed the headband pointedly and straightened out his sash. Why was he even still trying to talk to this man?
The man held up his hands in surrender. "Whoa, easy there cowboy. I was just saying you could take them off. They would be none the wiser."
"Yeah, but I would know. And I'm not doing that to them."
The man's face softened into something a little more real. "That's really sweet." Eddie turned away, busying himself with another drink to ignore how the man's voice was so sincere. Gentle. "My name's Evan, by the way. Nice to meet you." He stuck out a hand.
He shouldn't keep talking to this man - Evan. It was dangerous. He knew it was dangerous.
He shook Evan's hand. "Eddie."
"What's that short for?" Evan asked as he pulled his hand back. Eddie tried not to miss the warmth of his calloused palm. "Eduardo?"
"Everyone guesses that," Eddie replied with a shake of his head. "Edmundo."
"Edmundo," Evan echoed. Eddie would not outwardly react to his name in that rasp. "You know, I have a sister too. So I get you doing anything for them. Including wearing embarrassing things."
He should not engage. He should not keep this going. He could still back out.
"Older or younger?"
Goddammit.
Evan grinned around his beer bottle. Eddie knew he could tell he got him, the glint in his eye smug. "Older. I was basically her baby doll." He rolled his eyes but Eddie saw the fondness in his smile.
"You must be pretty close with her then?" He finished his whiskey, waving the bartender over and ordering a beer. He realized Evan had been quiet when the bartender brought over his drink. He looked over as he took a sip to see Evan looking down, thumb tracing the condensation rolling down the side of his bottle. "Evan?"
Evan flinched as if startled, and met Eddie's eyes with a fragile smile. "Sorry. Uh. No. We aren't as close as we used to be." He took a long drink of his beer, avoiding Eddie's gaze. That was interesting. Gone was the flirty, seemingly confident man from before. In his place was someone much more vulnerable. Much more compelling.
Much more dangerous.
Eddie found himself turning more towards Evan in his seat. He didn't want to pry but he wanted to see more of whatever this was. It was useless to think at this point that he didn't.
"It's obvious you care a lot about her. Do you still talk to her, at least?" He couldn't imagine not talking to his sisters. Not being as close with them as he is now.
Evan took another long drink of his beer. Eddie figured it was him stalling for time, trying to decide if he wanted to answer the question or not. After a few moments, Evan gave a half-shrug, half shake of the head as he said, "Not really. She married this asshole who insisted she needed to give me 'space' to 'grow up.'" Evan rolled his eyes. "Apparently she was babying me too much, and not paying enough attention to him or something. I don't know. The guy's just a dick. But Maddie says he's different with her, and refuses to leave him so..." He trailed off with another shrug and finished off his drink.
Eddie didn't know what to say. He could see how much this affected Evan, even if he was trying to hide it. The sadness in his eyes made Eddie's heart ache for him. "I'm really sorry, man. That's rough."
"It is what it is." Evan stared at his empty bottle, twisting it between his hands. "I've accepted it. And now, I get to travel the world without anything holding me down." He flashed Eddie a smile that looked so fake, Eddie wanted to hug him. Tell him it was okay to break down. To accept that this wasn't what he wanted.
But he also just met this man. All of this was crazy. The way Eddie was feeling was crazy. He needed to exit this conversation. He needed to go back to his cousins.
"So you're just passing through, then?" Eddie could hear the disappointment in his voice.
Apparently Evan could too as his smile grew a little happier. A little softer.
A lot flirtier.
"I might be convinced to stay." He leaned more towards Eddie, voice low and husky. "Everything's bigger in Texas, right? I wouldn't mind seeing if that was true for myself." He glanced down to Eddie's crotch, licking his lips. Heat sprung to Eddie's face, blooming across his cheeks. He tried to take a sip of his beer to calm down, only to choke when Evan laid a hand on his thigh.
"Do you want to maybe -"
"Hey, Eddie! What's going on here, where are our drinks?"
The voice of his cousin had him sitting up straight, pushing Evan's hand off his thigh. He missed the searing warmth immediately. He now felt so cold, like a bucket of ice water was dumped on him.
He could see the hurt on Evan's face, which only made him feel worse. But, to his credit, he recovered quickly, giving Eddie's cousin - Diego - a friendly smile.
Diego smiled back, but it was a little guarded. He put his arm around Eddie, shaking him slightly. "So, who's this?"
"Stay away from me, fag!"
"I can't play on the same team as a homo."
"Don't be such a disappointment, Eddie. Don't do this to us."
"Oh, uh. I don't know, really. Just some guy." Eddie shrugged, trying to play it off as cool as he could. He hoped the panic wasn't obvious on his face. "I don't think I even really caught his name?" He looked over to Evan, hoping he would play along.
It was a mistake.
He watched as Evan's face completely shuttered. Gone was the flirty nature to his smile. Gone was even the friendliness in his eyes. In their place were walls upon walls. This was the first time all night Eddie had seen him like this. He felt cold with the warmth now gone from Evan's demeanor. He wanted to take it back. But he couldn't.
Evan pulled himself up, taking a deep breath as he got his wallet out and laid some bills on the counter. "Yeah, I was just making some conversation. I'm gonna head out now, though." The smile he gave Eddie was the worst one yet. Plastic. Cold. Distant. "Thanks for talking with me."
And with that, he was gone.
Eddie felt horrible, wanting to run after him and apologize. But he couldn't.
"No son of mine is going to live such a degenerate lifestyle."
Diego shrugged, ordering the drinks when he waved the bartender back over. He coaxed Eddie back to the table.
The rest of the night was miserable.
All Eddie kept seeing was Evan's hurt face. He seemed like a good guy, he didn't deserve Eddie's dismissiveness. This was a man who had obviously been burned so many times before. And now Eddie just added to that list. He finally allowed himself to let loose, drinking everything his cousins put in front of him. They had to call a cab at the end of the night, and when he got home, his mother was not impressed. But Eddie didn't care.
He stumbled to bed, not even bothering to remove his headband and sash. Instead, he just let himself crash, dreaming of hurt blue eyes and a fragile smile.
He wished he didn't dream at all.
