Family History/Relationships:

Mother: Astor's mother is a well known strong Marine Vice Admiral, her nickname being 'Strict Mother of the Marines'.

Growing up with her, he was raised into the navy and around them. He once dreamed of being a marine but when he was supposed to be babysat by Garp when he was 10, he was able to get into and read tons of documents of the many cover ups of the Marines.

[Note: He was able to find all of this due to being in Garp's office and the male being asleep].

After that day he kept up the act that he was still wanting to be a marine but planned for his escape once he turned 18.

Father: Astor's father is the world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk. He was around a little bit as he was growing up, being a warlord made him prone to visit marine headquarters at least once every few months.

Mihawk wasn't looking to be a father and didn't even like his mother in any romantic way but she forced herself onto him and now they had a child.

Astor never tells anyone his last name or his family ties due to many reasons but he took his father's last name since he was the only one he told about his findings and his confusion.

Mihawk wasn't the best parent and stopped talking to Astor as he got older but he taught him how to do business and survive on the sea (after he was informed of his findings and change in dreams).
