I've been working on a save file. It's now at a point that I feel good about sharing what I've done so far. I wanted this to be done with completely my builds but that's going to take a lot longer so this is what I have so far. I've added new households (some families are even connected with lore and in game relations!)

Whew, finally done! Sorry it took so long, this is the largest update I've done yet clocking in at about 15 pages (compared to my usual 7-10). Also, congrats to those who guessed Todd for the distraction! Poor guy went through the last of his mystically preserved lemons just for this moment. What a bro.

This project has been such a journey and I’m so excited to finally share it! Things took a little longer than planned (life happens) but it was so worth it to see everything come together in the end

I want to give a massive thank-you to Emma ( @emjayeingray ), the most patient and talented binder I could have hoped to work with. She made this process so fun, and her creativity and kindness made brainstorming ideas an absolute joy. She is a true gem and ofc the final binding is just stunning!

For my part, I worked on the art on the cover and the little sketches printed inside the pages. Seeing it all bound so beautifully by Emma made all the effort so worth it.

Shadi Awad from North Gaza was critically injured during the Flour Massacre of February of 2024, and his father was killed. Now, he urgently needs to access the proper medical treatment; due to not being able to receive proper healthcare for an entire year, Shadi risks losing his legs, or worse. edwin is a better, stronger man than i, because i would be infinitely more dramatic and petty in his position when crystal enters the scene and charles starts paying attention to her. i would have comic!edwin’s reaction at least (accusing charles of choosing girls over him, storming off to solve cases on his own and deciding to do shit that will get him into trouble so that charles has to come rescue him, etc) but i’d probably take it a step further. i’d be like “i guess you want me to go back to hell then since i’m basically nothing to you 😒” and then i’d legitimately go back to hell JUST to see if he came after me. if he didn’t come after me then an eternity of torture in hell is nothing compared to the pain of rejection and being replaced. but i’m also incredibly mentally ill, so.

(james acaster once told a story about a christmas where he asked his parents for a spice girls cd. he found out whilst at the pool with his family that his sister was getting the cd instead of him. naturally, he tried to drown himself in the pool to make his parents feel guilty. that’s my vibe if i were ever in edwin’s position.)

Part 1

Since it a bit different from the topic of the original post, I wanted to address this separately. {It helps me keep track of stuff I post here.}

I may be wrong since I read canon months ago, but somewhere in the extras, Luo Binghe mentioned that Shizun knows a bit too much about stuff. Shen Yuan tried to bullshit his way out of it saying he has read all the books in Qing Jing library, only to realise that straight A student Binghe has also read all the books. Basically, there's a hint in canon that Binghe is onto him.

So yeah, maybe in future, there would be some sort of reveal. The thing is, it most probably won't be initiated by Shen Yuan. Maybe Binghe will tour around his mindscape and find the system. Maybe he'll get his answers. Or maybe he'll come up with batshit conclusions. Who knows?

But I think Shen Yuan is unlikely to reveal things on his own. There are many reasons:

1. He has been conditioned by the System for years not to reveal System's existence.

2. He's unable to justify (to himself) his actions and the hurt that he's caused to LBH. To him, no explanation is good enough. If you've nothing helpful to say, don't say anything at all. [That's how Shen Jiu dealt with his issues too.]

That's why his idea of dealing with the aftermath of the Abyss was planned death for a clean start. He'd rather avoid LBH than be the person who betrayed him. After all, it's very hard to accept that you've hurt someone, esp someone you care and love deeply.

3. He liked playing the role of an elegant scholarly immortal. He's attached to that identity and prefers to maintain that status. It probably makes him feel cool and powerful. That's why, it's easy to discard "Shen Yuan".

SY died young. It's hard to accept yourself in your early 20s. Adolescence teaches people to be embarrassed of their interests and fear judgement. It takes years of unlearning shame to accept oneself. SY didn't have years to accept his truth before he died.

Labels like otaku/fujo etc are hurtful and demeaning. Not bec theres anything wrong with any kind of interests but because the words themselves are used for the purpose of belittling. It puts people into boxes of shame so they feel the need to hide themselves. SY probably found it easier to discard a society (and life) that'd put labels on him.

His shame is still internalised though even if no such judgements exist in SVSSS/PIDW world. No one is moral policing anyone for reading rpf erotica. No one is judging anyone for being gay.

If he admits to who he is, he's admitting to all the labels he carried from his other world too. That's not easy or fun. Better to play pretend a superior version of himself aka Shen Qingqiu.

Shen Yuan's way of dealing with LBH is to indulge him, reassure him, and prioritise him. Ever since he broke the OOC lock, that's what he has done. Even if he wasn't scared, he still would have loved LBH. That is him being himself.

With LBH, he has always been himself. LBH already knows all of his mannerisms, no matter how much he tries to hide behind the fan. SY finds his true self embarrassing or just hard to openly share with others. So being Shen Qingqiu gives him a chance to act like a wise, powerful, and admired mentor. It gives him the chance to be someone worthy of being loved by Luo Binghe. He probably thinks LBH loves him for these qualities. LBH, however, loves him in every form with all his inherent weirdness.

Maybe over time, LBH will feel secure enough in their relationship to ask questions. Maybe SY will have accepted himself and built the communication skills to answer them. Maybe with the passing of time, the hurt would have become manageable and it would be easier to talk about it.

For now though, he's taking his secrets to his grave.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

I can't lie, Shen Yuan and Shen Jiu.

Now before you crucify me and say "oh but you like LQG and he's an ass" HEAR ME OUT🤚

I feel like the "everyone loves shen yuan he can do no wrong" is a little annoying and SOME of the fanfics I've read or the art I've seen have just reduced him to a damsel in distress or babyified him and I am mad because his canon self is so funny (exhibit A, how he acts in the donghua)

also he's kinda annoying in those fics too and mfs tend to over feminized him when that is a fully able bodied grown man with a job (several of my blood vessels explode violently when someone calls shen jiu mamajiu cause brother eughhh)

as for Shen Jiu, I just think the glaze for him is insane and I cannot get over the fact that this guy is a voluntary abuser to basically an innocent child and his fans (SOME FANS BTW SOME FANS THE NORMAL ONES R FINE) are like "he did no wrong!" "He's just a diva!" "that's just a skill issue on lbh's part" just cause his backstory is tragic, some even outright excusing it cause he technically suffered more like erm💀 (i also know this is old discourse within the community but this is my opinion, you asked so you will hear what I say)

The thing is about these characterizations with the Shens is was that it funny at first but now I find it so annoying and SJ's characterization into some tsundere bottom made me cry real manly tears

My main point: I liked SQQ first, he was my fave when I was first dabbling into the fandom, but then I made the mistake of picking up fanfiction and now either feel indifferent to them or outright annoyed when they show up AND IT'S SO SAD BECAUSE THEY'RE GENUINELY SUPER INTRESTING CHARACTERS UGH

Rhys would never laugh or be happy that Azriel and Elain can’t have children. Especially, as he was in that same position. Not suprised this joke came from the same people that twist Rhysand’s character around. Azriel would never tell Elain that she can’t be with him due to not having children. This same man literally fell in love with her knowing they wouldn’t be able to have children. Yet he still wanted her.

And the most ignorant thing of all: We already have the solution to this problem. Nesta has the knowledge to change anatomy. The cauldron isn’t going anywhere. Its a moot, ridiculous point.

The joke is only funny if you’re ignorant & naive. “Its not that deep. These are fictional characters 🤓” - be grateful at the privilege you have for this to be unrelatable and just a superficial joke to you.

And you know whats the cherry on top? The people that laughed at this joke and made fun of elriels for calling it out - currently are running their own “offical” elain week, running around lying about how much they love Elain. They don’t gaf about Elain and this proves it. 🤷‍♀️
