What Your Favorite MMFC Ship Says About You (Inspired By Eldena Doubleca5t)
Got bored and decide to make this for fun (andtofurtherputoffansweringasks) as I haven’t seen a post like this for any Mega Man iteration fandom, hope you all enjoy!
(Also, just a heads up, this isn’t meant to be an attack on anyone who ships any of the ships mentioned here, this is just meant to be a light-hearted joke, and as long as you don’t ship anything inc*stous, p*dophilic, or anything that romanticizes ab*se, I’m a-okay with it! And if your ship isn’t mentioned here, it’s because I couldn’t think of anything cool or funny to say for it. You’re more than welcome to come up with something for it in the reblogs though! I’d love to see what you all come up with!)
Aki x Ashley: Your ideal relationship dynamic is dumbass x smartass. Alternatively, you really like Spider-Man and/or Danny Phantom.
Suna x Bert: Your ideal relationship dynamic is girlboss x malewife.
Aki x Bert: You saw one of those memes where two bros have really tender homoerotic moments and you were like “yeah, I could probably get a pretty sizable amount of fanwork out of this premise”.
Suna x Ashley: Your ideal relationship dynamic is just girls being friends. Gals being pals.
Aki x Chaotique: Your ideal relationship dynamic is rivals to lovers and you think Chaotique is the best character in the show and possibly even the entire Mega Man franchise.
Suna x Chaotique: You like the dynamic of Aki x Chaotique, but you like Suna even more.
Daini x Chaotique: You’re either really into tsunderes, or really into bickering married couples. Or both. Alternatively, you are a firm believer in the inherent eroticism of trolling.
Bert x Chaotique: When you were a kid, your mom told you some kid was being mean to you because they like you and you never let go of that.
Aki x Ice Man: You think Ice Man is a precious cinnamon roll that deserves the world and you feel like the two of them would actually be pretty close once Ice Man manages to get all his issues resolved.
Suna x Ice Man: This is just the same joke as Aki and Ashley, but even more so and with even less screen time.
Daini x Ice Man: Your ideal relationship dynamic is “Beauty and the Beast”, and whenever you see a really long fic tagged “hurt/comfort”, your eyes go wide because you know what you’re going to be doing until 3 am tonight.
Daini x Ashley: You ship Aki and Chaotique, but you also want good things for Daini. And really, who wouldn’t?
Dr. Light x Hypno Woman: You think Dr. Light can fix Hypno Woman and/or you shun “doing your mom” jokes in favor of “doing your dad” jokes.
Fire Man x Wave Man: Your ideal relationship dynamic is a bickering married couple, and there’s a high chance that you’ve noticed that they seem to be the two nicest members of Night’s army and you’ve never let that go.
Blasto Woman x Mega Mini: You’re always a sucker for height differences and/or you want a partner that not only can kick your ass, but will do so upon request.
Wood Man x Principal 100100: I can’t say for certain if you’re attracted to dads, but you’re definitely attracted to father figures.
Ice Man x Cut Man: You believe every uptight grouch needs a sweet ray of sunshine to balance them out, and/or they’re both your favorite characters so you thought the only logical thing to do was to pair them together. There’s also a possibility that you’ve gotten into at least one heated internet argument over whether the two of them are minors or adults.
Sgt. Night x Dr. Light: You’re obsessed with lore and/or have a crippling addiction to the “friends to enemies to lovers” trope.
Air Man x Drill Man: You believe the two of them are extremely underrated and will forever be bitter about the lack of fanworks about them, you’re a theater kid with family issues that relates to at least one of them, and there’s a possibility that you’ve had a crush on at least one Tumblr Sexyman.
Elec Man x Cut Man: Your ideal relationship dynamic is a vaudeville comedy duo. Alternatively, you like the dynamic of Daini x Chaotique, but thought that they wouldn’t hate each other enough.
Dr. Light x Dr. Wily: You’re obsessed with lore, you think scientists are hot, and/or you will be making divorce jokes about them in every continuity they’re in until you draw your dying breath.
Chemistry Man x Ms. CHO: You’ve never seen an obsessive, heated rivalry that you didn’t think had at least a little bit of romantic tension. Alternatively, if you’re a fan of Man of Action’s other shows, you saw the chance to recreate whatever was going on with Dr. Psychobos and Azmuth in Omniverse and snatched it up as fast as you possibly could.
Dr. Light x Mrs. Light: You think shipping your OC with a canon character is a little too self-indulgent, but you REALLY want to ship your OC with a canon character.

*After the ending of season 1 and the comics*
Aki: *at Sgt. Night* Oh how the turn tables-how the round tables have-Oh what the fuck!
Daini: Is your brain cell taking a break today or?-
Aki: Shut up! We’re trying to interrogate him!
Suna/Zero: He even practiced this.
Sgt. Night: How the fuck did we ever lose to this kid.
Daini: I have no idea.

John: I’m not talented, and I’m shitty
I was really going through the “What’s it all about?” type thing – this songwriting is nothing, it’s pointless, and I’m no good, I’m not talented, and I’m shitty, and I couldn’t do anything but be a Beatle. What am I going to do about it? It lasted nearly two years and I was still in it during Pepper. I know Paul wasn’t at the time; he was feeling full of confidence, and I was going through murder during those periods.
(John Lennon, September 23rd, 1969, interview with Barry Miles, partially unpublished)*
What could help John think this way? The Ivor Novello Awards and Grammy, for example (also Yesterday and Eleonor Rigby). Look,
1980 John Lennon in All We Are Saying by David Sheff
1972 John Lennon Hit Parader Interview**
The Ivor Novello Awards (The awards and nominations are received by the songwriters of the nominated work, not the performers, unless they also have songwriting credits.)
1964
1 The "A" Side of the Record Issued in 1963 Which Achieved the Highest Certified British Sales "She Loves You" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win "I Want to Hold Your Hand" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles - nom
She Loves You Both of us. We wrote it together on tour.
She Loves You It was written together and I don’t know how. I remember it was Paul’s idea: Instead of singing “I love you” again, we’d have a third party. That kind of little detail is apparently in his work now where he will write a story about someone and I’m more inclined to just write about myself.
I Want To Hold Your Hand (John put it in a list of songs which he attributed directly to Paul McCartney, again offered with no comment)
I Want To Hold Your Hand We wrote a lot of stuff together, one-on-one, eyeball to eyeball. Like in “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” I remember when we got the chord that made the song. We were in Jane Asher’s house, downstairs in the cellar playing on the piano at the same time. And we had, “Oh you-u-u … got that something…” And Paul hits this chord and I turn to him and say, “That’s it!” I said, “Do that again!” In those days, we really used to absolutely write like that—both playing into each other’s nose. We spent hours and hours and hours … We wrote in the back of vans together. We wrote “She Loves You” in a van on the way to Newcastle. And “From Me to You.”
2 The Most Broadcast Work of the Year "She Loves You" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win
3 The Year's Outstanding Song "All My Loving" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
All My Loving Paul. This was one of his first biggies.
All My Loving “All My Loving” is Paul, I regret to say. Ha-ha-ha. <…> Because it’s a damn good piece of work. [Singing] “All my loving…” But I play a pretty mean guitar in back.
1965
1 The "A" Side of the Record Issued in 1964 Which Achieved the Highest Certified British Sales "Can't Buy Me Love" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win "I Feel Fine" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
Can't Buy Me Love John and Paul, but mainly Paul.
Can't Buy Me Love That’s Paul’s completely. Maybe I had something to do with the chorus, but I don’t know. I always considered it his song.
I Feel Fine Me. This was the first time feedback was used on a record. It's right at the beginning.
I Feel Fine That’s me completely.
2 The Most Performed Work of the Year "Can't Buy Me Love" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win "A Hard Day's Night" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
A Hard Day's Night (John put it in a list of songs, according to Lennon, written by himself, about which he had no comment).
Hard Day’s Night I was going home in the car and Dick Lester suggested the title Hard Day’s Night from something Ringo’d said. <…> A Ringoism, where he said it not to be funny, just said it. So Dick Lester said we are going to use that title, and the next morning I brought in the song.
3 The Year's Outstanding Theme from Radio, TV or Film A Hard Day's Night – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney - nom
1966
1 Outstanding Song "Yesterday" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win
Yesterday Paul. Wow, that was a good 'un.
Yesterday “Yesterday…” Well, we know all about “Yesterday.” I have had so much accolade for “Yesterday.” That’s Paul’s song and Paul’s baby. Well done. Beautiful—and I never wished I’d written it.
2 The "A" Side of the Record Issued in 1965 Which Achieved the Highest Certified British Sales "We Can Work It Out" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles - win "Help!" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
We Can Work It Out Paul but the middle was mine.
We Can Work It Out In “We Can Work It Out,” Paul did the first half, I did the middle eight. (Also: 'I have the tapes of “We Can Work It Out” somewhere with Paul singing it, double-track guitar on a home tape')
Help! (John put it in a list of songs, according to Lennon, written by himself, about which he had no comment)
Help! It [“Eight Days a Week”] was Paul’s effort at getting a single for the movie. That luckily turned to “Help!,” which I wrote, bam! bam!, like that and got the single.
1967
1 The "A" Side of the Record Issued in 1966 Which Achieved the Highest Certified British Sales "Yellow Submarine" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win
Yellow Submarine Both of us. Paul wrote the catchy chorus. I helped with the blunderbuss bit.
Yellow Submarine “Yellow Submarine” is Paul’s baby. Donovan helped with the lyrics. I helped with the lyrics, too. We virtually made the track come alive in the studio, but based on Paul’s inspiration. Paul’s idea, Paul’s title. So I count it as a “Paul” song.
2 The Most Performed Work of the Year "Michelle" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win "Yesterday" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
Michelle Both of us. I wrote the middle with him.
Michelle …one of Paul’s songs
1968 1 Best British Song, Musically and Lyrically "She's Leaving Home" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – win
She's Leaving Home Both of us. Paul had the basic theme. But all of those lines like "We sacrificed most of our life…We gave her everything money could buy…Never a thought for ourselves…Those were the things (Aunt) Mimi used to say. It was easy to write.
2 The "A" Side of the Record Issued in 1967 Which Achieved the Highest Certified British Sales "Hello, Goodbye" – Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Performed by The Beatles – nom
Hello, Goodbye (John put it in a list of songs which he attributed directly to Paul McCartney, again offered with no comment).
Hello, Goodbye That’s another McCartney. Smells a mile away, doesn’t it? An attempt to write a single. It wasn’t a great piece; the best bit was the end, which we all ad-libbed in the studio, where I played the piano.
3 Best Instrumental Theme "Love in the Open Air" – Written by Paul McCartney (!) – win
Grammy
1965 (March) The Grammy Awards committee in New York nominated The Beatles for six awards: "Record Of The Year" (for 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'); "Best Rock'N'Roll Recording Of The Year" (also 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'); "Best New Artist Of 1964"; "Song Of The Year" (for 'A Hard Day's Night'); "Best Original Score Written For A Motion Picture Or TV Show" (for A Hard Day's Night); and "Best Performance By A Vocal Group" ('A Hard Day's Night' once again).
(A Hard Day's Night had won the award in the "Best Vocal Performance by a Group" category.)
February 13, 1966 The Grammy Awards Committee in New York nominated The Beatles for ten awards – divided between six nominations for 'Yesterday', and a further four for 'Help!' (The Beatles failed to win any of the ten Grammy awards for which they had been nominated. Capitol Records boss Allan Livingstone launched an official protest about the fact that 'Yesterday' had not been selected as "Song Of The Year". "It makes a mockery of the whole event," he complained.)
March 11, 1967 The Beatles won three Grammy Awards for their releases in 1966: "Best Vocal Performance" for 'Eleanor Rigby'; "Best Song" for 'Michelle'; and "Best Cover Artwork" for Klaus Voormann's Revolver design.
Eleanor Rigby Both of us. I wrote a good lot of the lyrics, about 70 percent. Ray Charles did a great version of this. Fantastic.
Eleanor Rigby Paul’s baby, and I helped with the education of the child.
March 9, 1968 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band won four Grammy awards at the annual ceremony in Los Angeles: Best Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Album, Best Engineered Record and Best Album Cover.
Sgt Pepper is Paul, after a trip to America and the whole West Coast… As I read the other day, he said in one of his ‘fanzine’ interviews that he was trying to put some distance between The Beatles and the public – and so there was this identity of Sgt Pepper. <…> So I think he got influenced by that and came up with this idea for The Beatles. <…> Sgt Pepper is called the first concept album, but it doesn’t go anywhere. All my contributions to the album have absolutely nothing to do with the idea of Sgt Pepper and his band…
’Cause there was a little competition between Paul and I as to who got the “A” side, who got the hit singles. <…> If you notice, in the early days the majority of singles—in the movies and everything—were mine. And then only when I became self conscious and inhibited, and maybe the astrology wasn’t right, did Paul start dominating the group a little too much for my liking. But in the early period, obviously, I’m dominating the group. I did practically every single with my voice except for “Love Me Do.” Either my song, or my voice, or both.
(John Lennon, 1980, in All We Are Saying by David Sheff)
*and btw see the great (as always) @gardenschedule quote compilation on India
**(Pretty love the end of the article: 'Songs attributed jointly to McCartney and himself by Lennon and offered again with no comment: I'll Get You; I Want To Hold Your Hand; Baby's In Black; Every Little Thing; What You're Doing; Drive My Car; The Word; I've Got A Feeling.')

The Beatles Anthology
The eleventh instalment of The Beatles mythology — a what could well have been the final word — is an audiovisual autobiography narrated by the group themselves (with a little help from their friends).
Painting testimonial pictures...
Released on television during November 1995, The Beatles Anthology might be the most comprehensive autobio-documentary ever produced. The six-hour documentary series, accompanied by a six-disc album set and later supplemented with an expanded hardback book, includes copious excerpts from John's Playboy interviews (among others) and passages from Mr. Epstein's autobiography, plus original interviews with the surviving Beatles, and heaps of archival footage, all arranged and presented in their distinctively Beatlesque manner.
What's it all about?!
Since the group's public breakup in 1970, Apple had been compiling and cataloguing every piece of available media by or about The Beatles. John Lennon's tragic demise in 1980 spurred the other Beatles, the Apple team, and EMI to accelerate the process. Still, the project did not reach fruition until a quarter-century after the band's breakup, and only materialised due a fluke of inspired circumstances...
George had been busily creating with his new band The Traveling Wilburies, and had come into possession of an unreleased Elvis Presley recording that the Wilburies conspired to overdub and release. But Roy Orbison's sudden death in 1988 rendered that idea impractical, so they shelved it.
A few years later, George pitched the idea to Paul and Ringo, and suggested they might do that with The Beatles. Paul proposed the idea to Yoko, and she generously provided the surviving Beatles with a cassette tape containing some of John's unreleased demos. Paul, George, and Ringo — working alongside Jeff Lynne, George's fellow Wilbury and former ELO chef d'orchestre — realised two-and-a-half of those songs into proper Beatles tracks, two of which (“Free As A Bird” and “Real Love”) were released concurrently with the Anthology. (The third track, “Now And Then”, would not be finished for another quarter-century, well after George's passing.)
The deeper you go...
On occasion the stories don't add up, which is one of the many amusing aspects since it amounts to a deliberate attempt on their part to obscure rather than clarify certain aspects of their myth — includo several of the who-wrote-whats and who-did-what-whens — at which they just kinda shrug their shoulders and move on to the next scene.
And in the end...
The myth-building could very well have ended here...
