Alrighty, gang,

It’s been a minute, but it’s time for our next task! 

We’re in the midst of Aries season, which means we’ve left sad & dramatic ol’ Pisces season behind us and we’re moving onto something new and all the more exciting -- adventure awaits for those willing to seek it, and Aries are known for diving headfirst into just about anything with an impulsivity that puts the other signs to shame. With that being said, upon the suggestion of one of our members, we are going to introduce a new monthly task that’ll revolve around ~the stars~. 

Between now and April 19th ( the end of Aries season ), there will be 24 hours in which your character seemingly loses all inhibition and does whatever it is they have been putting off or been too afraid to do -- of course, this is completely optional, but if you do decide to participate, you have until April 19th to do so. Let them channel their inner Aries and just go wild! Have they wanted to ask out so-and-so? Do it! Get that tattoo they’ve always wanted? Do it! Tell off their parents or that one asshole at work? No better time than the present! It is up to you to decide when they lose their inhibition, but keep in mind that you have until April 19th if you want to participate -- and be sure to tag it with shermer.task so we can all see how they go a lil’ off the rails.

Weekly tasks will still be implemented, however, and I will do my best to tie it in with the overall monthly task. For this week, I want you all to explore what your character’s fears and deepest desires are. This could be done in the form of a journal entry, or a self-para, a bucketlist, a moodboard -- I encourage you to be creative with the task. 

With all that said, I leave you all with Aries’ motto: act first, face consequences later.

SO, TWO THINGS,

1) Upon daydreaming at work, I came up with the idea to include weekly tasks into the game that can help us better expand upon our characters. They will be completely optional, though it’ll be fun to poke around a lil’ into the minds of our characters’ and share them with the group as a whole. 

To start us off, I thought we could do something simple: create a playlist of 5-10 songs for your characters that are their favorite songs or perhaps songs that currently describe a situation they’re in or their relationship with another, like family or a friend. Be as creative as you want! And while I say weekly, there is no set due date for them, so just post ‘em whenever you’d like and be sure to tag it with the hashtag “shermer.task” so we can all check them out.

2) Onto our second note, I’ve noticed our follow tag is beginning to act a little, ahem, testy, so I’ve altered our tagging system a tad to hopefully remedy the problem. Please take a look at the new tags (which are essentially the same but with an added period in between words) and give it a try for when you post your starters. I ask that you still post starters in the OOC blog until we’re sure if it works or not. The only tag that’s remained the same has been the “shermerintro” tag because it seems to be working just fine, so feel free to keep using that one when posting an intro for your characters, but just be sure to use the new tag for the starters. 

-- It’s a bit confusing, so I’ll nudge you if you happen to forget once or twice because it’s bound to happen, but we got this, folks! If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to reach out to me via the DMs or my Discord (which, if you don’t have, just ask and it’s yours). With all that said and done, please like this post once you’re done so I can be sure you read it and have a great rest of your week, angels.
