2024. The year of the fire shield. 🔥

This was my second year performing with fire, and I had a lot of fun incorporating the sword and shield into my art.

A huge thank you to all the fire folks who have welcomed me until the flow community, including those at Ignition Fire troupe, Fire Camp, all my PNW flowmies, and everyone else i had the pleasure of meeting this year. It's so heartwarming being a part of this art community. 🧡

Head in hands. Oh…I just realized. Caleb is the exact kind of heartbroken soul Molly would have tried to save in choir practice—

Just...all that time Caleb spent suffering alone. Abandoned by Astrid and Wulf. Waking up from nightmares screaming, cold and hungry and haunted by all those long years in the sanitarium--haunted by the blood Trent put on his hands when he was still just a child. The realization of just how much he was manipulated and abused when he was so young and vulnerable--blaming himself for the trauma he endured. Hating himself in his grief.

How Caleb can't even bring himself to put up a fight with he's arrested, how he thinks he deserves whatever happens to him...I can't help but think of Yasha, bleeding out before a temple, grieving and wounded and not even saying a word to the villagers who came to kill her. Molly rushing to her rescue without a second thought--taking one look at all her grief and pain laid bare, and immediately shielding her. How Molly does this sort of thing over and over, how he can't ever bear to just stand aside and watch someone suffer--

Just knowing that...if Molly ever came across Caleb before Trostenwald--back when he was still on the run all alone, when he didn't dare to trust anyone--Molly would still try and save him--

Another couple of photos from Sh'Bang 2024.

Last year was my first time incorporating armor and shield into my fire performances, and while there's still much tweaking to do, including adding a leather layer to go under the gorget and more hair protection lol, it's been a really fun learning experience with much more exploration to come.

Here's to all my fellow performers and to the constant upgrades and adjustments that come with an ever evolving passion.

May you find inspiration in the flaws and pride in the victories. ⚔️

It’s funny how feyre got so upset at lucien for “choosing” tamlin and not doing more for her when tamlin became overcontrolling ,yet when the IC chose rhys and didn’t tell her about the dangers of her own pregnancy it was totally cool and ok 🤨?

And I knew that if ... that if I had been wasting away and Rhys had done nothing to stop it, Cassian or Azriel would have pulled me out. They would have taken me somewhere —wherever I needed to be —and dealt with Rhys later.

Funny you say that feyre because those same friends were willing to watch you go through the pregnancy completely oblivious to the fact that you’re gonna die because rhys told them to keep it from you.Despite feyre being their high lady and family,they chose to listen to rhys because they’re rhys’s friends above all🤷.

Lucien gets so much shit for being “tamlins loyal dog” as if the IC aren’t just as loyal to rhys if not more but it’s ok with them because they’re family. The double standards and hypocrisy from feyre is lowkey insane. ACOTAR feyre would have never let this shit slide 🗣️!!
