Ooh, I've been sitting on this one for so long! The first 8 or so songs on dbhc X's playlist portray the gradual deterioration of Xisuma's psyche throughout season 8 under Android 24's command and control; Pathetic actually comes right after Again & Again on the list, as Xisuma's dread turns to self-deprication spun by 24's demands and manipulation. His self-appointed derpiness kind of becomes a weapon turned against him, and the playful self-bashing becomes something 24 canonically uses against him (see: Evil X always calling Xisuma a derp, and 'foolish axolotl' etc) to admonish his efforts and ideas.

Even though this song is on Xisuma's playlist, I imagine most of the lyrics (namely, the ones bolded above) are coming from Android 24, coming from an annoyed, flippant, and demeaning place.

fantagio posted a ‘clarification’ where they basically denied everything staff and fans who went to the temple said they saw/knew about and decided to shut down all memorial spaces for moonbin completely in a final turnaround to make the company out to be the victim in the scenario. so now the only memorial space available to fans and colleagues of mb is the MoonForest which is a forest of trees fully funded and planted by astro fans from aroha donations specifically as a way to remember him, since fantagio is untrustworthy.

tldr; after being called out for wanting to display moonbin’s belongings and charge aroha extra to gain access to moonbin’s memorial space (rumoured by both aroha and staff present in the area), fantagio has decided to shut down all access to the memorial space altogether — presumably because they can no longer go through with making money off it.

… are you kidding me. fantagio signed a business contract with a temple to exhibit moonbin’s belongings as a tourist attraction for monetary gain and are passing it off as a decision made to relocate his memorial space for the THIRD TIME ‘for fans’ meanwhile fans who are going to light candles for him are being charged extra when they say that it’s him they want to light a candle for ……… disgusting extortionate piece of shit company im absolutely appalled i mean i knew fantagio wasn’t worth shit and were a bunch of money hungry vultures from day 1 but im actually in complete shock at this 😐 kfans are (rightfully) making noise about this all over sns . rather than actually investing and giving their seasoned artists comebacks despite the fans begging for it the company is trying to make money off the passing of their most popular artist instead. im disgusted.

i really hope dead cells fans do not buy the 'windblown' game by motion twin just because it's "by the creators of dead cells", since motion twin actually cancelled evil empire's* plans for future dead cells content which was planned for at least until 2025 including at least one dlc.

(*evil empire have been developing dead cells since 2019/patch 1.3 of dead cells, for those unaware)

in this announcement post MT claims that they decided the game is finished as it is or whatever and don't want any more updates as to not make the game 'bloated', which sounds pretty reasonable until you remember that all the updates from evil empire are unique and distinct & that motion twin doesn't even make the game anymore as of 2019. so personally i think this 'reasoning' is just marketing talk.

not to mention that the whole "by the creators of dead cells" thing they put in their marketing is VERY misleading. obviously motion twin initially created dead cells, yes, but by now there are only about ~3 people at motion twin who worked on dead cells. there are ~50 names in the credits of dead cells.

of course i can't stop anyone from buying whatever they want, but i urge people to at least read this blog post by deepnight, the former dead cells lead dev. it's very informative & i feel like it's important context a fan might want to know before potentially buying motion twin's new game.
