Origins of the New Mazean Empire

Long before SimCity, at the dawn of Simvilization, there lived a young woman named Solana, who shone as brightly as the sun god she was named for, Solandros.

For as long as she could remember, men had dominated her world. She had seven older brothers, who were dismissive of her at best, and were downright cruel to her at worst. She watched her mother compete with sister-wives for the attention of her father, who didn't treat any of them with the respect and reverence they deserved- after all, they were the ones who brought life in to the world!

Even outside of her family's tribal lands, which she was barely allowed to venture beyond the borders of, men were in charge of everything the light of Solandros could touch. A girl like her would have no future outside of becoming another bride of some old war chief who already had four wives and bearing him sons to be raised as warriors, and daughters to be disregarded until eventually being sold to the highest bidder just like she was. Solana wanted to learn how to fight with a sword and shoot a bow and arrow like her brothers, to ride horses as fast as the wind, to explore new territories and build incredible buildings there. A life she knew she would never have.

But as miserable as Solana was, she was always extremely devout, spending multiple hours a day praying and communing with Solandros, her clan's patron deity. He was her best friend and closest confidante.

One morning, Solana awoken before the rest of her clan to watch the sun rise over the dunes.

And before her stood... a feminine figure. Calling her a woman would be downplaying it. She seemed to stand at about ten feet tall. She had huge feathered wings like a mighty eagles. Her skin was orange-gold and she radiated with firey light that made Solana squint, as if she was looking at the sun itself. She could not look at the figure directly for more than a few seconds.

She introduced herself as Amaz. The true goddess of the sun, not Solandros, a demigod son of Amaz who had attempted to usurp her sphere for himself, but ultimately failed.

Amaz told Solana that there was empty lands to the south that were without a ruler, and that it was Solana's destiny to restore the ancient matriarchal queendom of the Old Mazeans to the world, in a new land. Solana had heard of the 'Amazons', warrior women who were not dominated by men but in fact ruled but assumed they were a myth. Amaz informed her that they were not only real, but they were her chosen people. However, their name had been bastardized throughout the years, and 'Amazeanism' was the name of the henotheistic religion they practiced.

Amaz handed her a piece of golden fruit, and taught her how to cultivate it. The seeds of this fruit would bear a tree that would create more golden fruit, and with the money she would make from selling it, she could rebuild a glorious and prosperous queendom, in Amaz's name, once again.

And so, a maid of just eighteen years old, about to be married to the war chief of a nearing clan, Solana abandoned everything she'd ever known, intent on fulfilling her destiny and becoming the greatest ruler the world had ever known... In the name of Amaz.

She named it New Mazea.

GAMES 🛸I'm a BIG games guy, I loveeeee playing and watching playthroughs of games. I could ramble for HOURSSSS about the games I love, BUT I won't, I'll just do sorta-short paragraphs for some of my favs :) ; RAIN WORLD: LOVE rain world, love it so much, it's so challenging and rage inducing and makes me wanna die, but also the story is SOOOO good, granted I have had to do research for the story, doing that research made me love the story and game even more. MOUTHWASHING: I don't even know what to say about this game anymore, it's so good, it's inspired so many other new games with similar premises/stories (but not similar enough to make them copycats or bad), the fucking non-linear storytelling is so good, swansea's monologue always gets me, daisuke is my baby i love him sm, anya's reveal and her whole story makes me so sick and sad. Couldn't reccomend this game ENOUGH :( RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2: a CLASSIC favorite game, I love the story more than anything, I love arthur, I love john, I love most of the camp members (besides micah...), I just absolutely ADOREEEE how well written the story and characters are. There's definitely game-related quirks that I could do without, but I manage, i love the game too much LMAOO NO MAN'S SKY: A recent addition to my favs! I got NMS recently and have enjoyed it A LOT, it's grind-y and I'm SUCH a sucker for procedurally generated games, and this game handles PG sooo well, keeping things new while also still having cohorent lore, alien species and structures. Like RDR2 There ARE quirks, a lot of quirks actually, that don't bode well with me, but I kinda get over it. BALDUR'S GATE 3: UGH words. words cannot describe my unbridled love for this game. I know it's cliche or wtv, but Astarion is just forever my fav, his story LITERALLY hurts me, it's SO GOOD BUT SO FUCKIGN SADDDD UGHGHFJGHFNJMDN :((( The writing in this game is also just really good, the pacing and the random dialogue and the serious moments with their perfectly timed silly moments, it's just. perfect. FAR CRY 5: I fucking love far cry 5, if you know me, you know far cry 5. FC5 was my introduction to the Far cry series, and I am forever grateful that it was, I don't think any of the other FC games could shake this down from being my fav, this game genuinely FEELS like home to me. Also special mention to the sequel, far cry new dawn, not AS good imo, but it's still good :3 DETROIT BECOME HUMAN and BEYOND TWO SOULS: Bunching these two together as they're made by the same devs, DBH is just. phenomenal and is one of the first games that really pushed me into wanting to play games for myself instead of watching others play them. Connor my sweet, sweet boy. Beyond two souls is an older game by Quantic Dream, the story of this game is also super good, it's similar to how mouthwashing is told, the storytelling is non-linear and i fuck with that SO HARD. Jodie and Nathan's relationship makes me so emotional its not even funny. GOAT SIMULATOR 1, 3, RE: A bit of a wild card LMFAO Goat Sim 1 is actually the entire reason why I'm even a gamer to be honest, I watched jacksepticeye play it SOOOOOOO long ago, I laughed so hard at his playthrough, and have wanted to play it ever since I discovered it. I used to play it on my tablet bec Amazon had an "underground" section of the play store where indie games could be downloaded for free and goat sim was on there!! Also I loved Goat simulator 3 sm that I speedran the whole game in 24 hours. LMFAO I'm working on 100%'ing the remaster! HONORABLE MENTIONS: Bugsnax, BANGER and SUPER cute game, Before Your Eyes, actually one of the saddest games ive played I love the story and concept sm, Maneater, I love this game so much I 100%'d it twice idk what it is but i just LOVE this game UGHHH, Naiad, a SMALL indie game with a cute art style i just think it's neat :)) Noita, its SUCH a fun and challenging game i love it sm, and finally, wobbledogs, its me and my slightly messed up puppies til the end.

MUSIC 🛸 PHEW Out of the Games section, into music... I love music!! I love it SO much. I will NOT ramble on as much as I did in the previous section, but I just wanna say; ricky montgomery and hozier, my FAVORITE artists of all time, no other artist can top them for me. Talk to You, Paper Towel, Mr Loverman, Penny Come Home and In Your Pocket are my biggest reccs for new Ricky listeners. I don't have GREAT first time reccs for new Hozier listeners, but my favs of his are his Arctic Monkey cover of Do I wanna know, Dinner and Diatribes, Cherry Wine, Swan upon Leda, and Jackboot Jump :))

MOVIES/SHOWS 🛸I don't watch a lot of Movies or Shows, I'm a big youtube guy, BUT my favorite movie as of late and as of the last year or so is THE PASSENGER (2023), which I think MOST of you know by now LMFAO. Spongebob is always gonna be my number one fav show.

STATISTICS 🛸A weird one, but I fucking LOVE statistics, I love seeing analytics, I love seeing percentages of things, I love seeing information, I love polls, i LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE STATISTICS!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!!! Sorry anyways. Yes I do like statistics,.. a very NORMAL amount.. LMAO

Hiii, can you maybe do a list of things to do when your f/o is a vampire?

you can purchase animal blood! if you're not very squeamish, write down the places you can get it so you can "give it" to your f/o.

if your vampire f/o can't be in the sun, make a wishlist on Amazon of hats and umbrellas you think they'd like to use.

if your vampire f/o has been alive/a vampire for a long time, look into the period they grew up in. if they were born in the 1600s in England, look into what their day to day life may have been like. what small, mundane things could you expect them to do then?

if they can't be around garlic, make a list of dishes that garlic is frequently used in! this is also fun just to learn about what ingredients go into different foods.

make "vampire" jewelry to give them. those fake blood bracelets, fill a little vile with some dyed liquid to look like blood and put on a necklace (I think isopropyl alcohol doesn't evaporate? you can probably google what you need to make jewelry like that), make a clay coffin pendant, things like that!

if you're the goofy type, find silly vampire puns to tell them.

if they need to hide that they're a vampire and have the two bite marks on their neck, maybe make a Pinterest board of clothes you think they would wear to hide them!

this is more of a general f/o thing, but if you have the sims and the vampires dlc, make them. maybe I'm biased bc it's my favorite dlc tho

Whenever she has time, she ensures she has time with kids. While helping Loki on his project, he mentioned he wanted to meet where he came from - it got Phoebe - that someday, her kids will grow up and would have their own life.

Also, from time to time, Phoebe let her mother meet her grandsons, she wanted her sons to meet their family.

However, her mom was the traditional mom - or because she had the image to protect.

But Phoebe doesn't care. They are hers and hers - no matter where/what they are from.

Hello, Unfortunately, I had to prioritize my studies to have financial stability. But I intend to continue working on the challenge this month. Yes, the Celts will be included, but we are still far from them. Right now, I am working on slavery in ancient Egypt and what life will be like as a merchant linked to the Arts of your Sim in Crete. In addition to common sense, what I know about the Celts is that there were already tribes present in Anatolia (Turkey) at the time of Alexander the Great. Maybe even before. The Amazons may be related, since the origin of their legend is related to the Scythians or Sarmatians. Interestingly, when I made the family tree of the French Merovingian family (5th century), I came across the Roman imperial family and through ancestry I got to Heracles, who would be the son of Zeus. His descendants also gave rise to the Spartan royal family. This may be a path to Mythology, but in the Legacy History Challenge, all Gods other than The Watcher are aliens. The Watcher is always the player, obviously. That doesn't mean He/She's the Creator of everything, or that He/She's in heaven.

In my gameplay, specifically, all aliens are descendants of Apsu, who would be the ancestor of Anu, the father of the Annunaki. For me, aliens are not just male and female like Sims, and their males could get pregnant. I'll add a rule about this and a science baby in Early Simvilization. As for the New Testament, I don't think we'll see it directly, because in year 1 the family will probably be in Rome. The last patriarch whose story I intend to follow is Abraham, and I'll explain it better in the next chapters. Possibly, the figure of Jesus in the Sims universe could also be an alien (if he wasn't invented by the Romans to control their Hebrew slaves, now Christians), but in fact what the family will see is the growing influence of the followers of The Watcher's faith, adapted first among Aryans and then Catholics and Protestants.

💭 What inspires you and your writing? (from this post)

ooooh tough one! thank you, i like the challenge of this question!

as i think back to my literal earliest writings at age 6, 8, 9 and into the teenage years and finally adulthood is when i really started writing.... there's a lot. at the core though, is emotion. and a desire i suppose to tell a story.

the first thing i can truly consider my own was a homework assignment at age 8 that my mom did not proofread before i handed it in. it received the highest grade and the teacher read it aloud to the class and asked me this very question: how did i do it? (you know... this may subconsciously be why i adore writing prompts. it was a single sentence prompt we were given to write from. heheh.)

anyway, i remember answering that i wrote what i saw. some of it was what i physically saw, and then some was imagined based on the actual scene. but i could see it in my mind's eye; i could see the story and feel the emotions surrounding it.

even though all i post is fanfiction, i did write some original stories here and there a long time ago. tiny things, like the school assignment. again they're all from a place of emotions i relate to... experiences i've had or that i want to have... that's part of the imagination piece. things i have read before in other stories, or imagine to be real based on things i've heard described, pictures i've seen...

so then we come to fanfiction. when it's character-driven as nearly all of my pieces are... and i'm thinking back here to my earliest fanfic writings (which are handwritten and unfinished lol oops) it was all in the end to tell something deeper of the soul... to grasp onto some depth of emotion that i know i myself crave.... or if not something i crave specifically, just seeking to feel...

that description is rather reminding me of what i hear people say about drug addictions. seeking the next high, you know? and you gotta go deeper each time or something, to find the satisfaction. i suppose there's an element of that in there as well. writing is a bit of transparency in that...i guess i'm seeking something i don't have. usually it's a depth of relationship, a seeking to be known and to know another. up until i wrote drakken/shego fanfic i really did not write romance at all. i was always going after the platonic soulmate vibe. sometimes that depth of knowing can get lost in a romance vibe i think?

but anyway... yes... what inspires me? a craving for more. i write for that emotional depth. that next high. but also the adventure... the seeking of something beyond the walls of....existence. oh to be able to just say... let's go explore that cave in the east that has its own weather system! let's go explore the amazon! the sahara! let's drift on a gondola in the canals of venice on a moonlit night! let's look down on the earth from a plane at 35000 feet and see what God and man have wrought!

man idk if that answers this well enough. i guess also unanswered questions? in fanfic, for characters. like, what happened to adam cartwright after he moved away and how did it impact each family member? what happened after the end of quantum leap?? is h.m. murdock truly insane? why did spock really leave starfleet? what else motivates sonic the hedgehog? why did shego abandon heroism and become a villain? will dr. drakken become a good guy post-canon or will he remain in evil?? what truly happened between stein and spirit to break up their partnership yet cause them to pick up right where they left off fifteen years later???

it's always...missing pieces, and always connected to emotion... yeah again, idk if this answers the question well enough. but my gosh you've got me buzzing. maybe this will kickstart my writing drive again cuz i let it go dormant to play sims 24/7 for a month.
