tonhon should win cuz i think that’s a funnier outcome but like. also tonhon has so many moments i just think are funny as fuck. I rewatch the dancing scene every few weeks. bad show but it and futs are in the “iconic ass comedic moments” folder of my brain

I also think Tonhon Chonlatee is overall a worse show while Sky in You Heart's biggest crime is just being boring as hell.

I will give you that Tonhon Chonlatee does have some fantastic comedy moments but it also frustrated me to no end and made me question whoever gives the go ahead to shows at GMMTV, if I'm being honest. Then again, in the world of TV, being boring is sometimes worse than any other flaw a show could possibly have. So who knows really?!

I had to go and rewatch the Special because... was it bad? All I could remember was KluenDao fluff. I started questioning if I was being biased.

And!! While watching it, I actually found something I was not even looking for: Khabkluen explaining why Daonuea is his sunflower. I had forgotten he does that out loud!! 😆 I won't tell you his exact words, to not spoil it for you, but you were right about it being because of Dao's personality!

Now, about if the Special and OS2 episodes are worth watching... I guess it depends on what you want to watch? If you're looking for some sort of intricate plot, they won't give you that. But if you just want more KluenDao moments.... It's a perfect deal! Both extras are about Daonuea wanting to go on trips with his family/friends, and getting exactly what he wants. One trip to the beach, and one trip to the mountains. The whole time he's simply The Cutest™, and Kluen looks like he could pepper him with kisses 24 hours a day (the usual, as you might have noticed ajkqsjjsnsn).

In the Special, you get family time (Dao and Prince bonding + Kluen using Prince to protect him from Fah's animosity towards him and it working quite well), and in the OS2 episodes you get their friends being incredulous/mesmerized by how clingy, insufferable (affectionate), and secure in their relationship they are.

In conclusion... I still very much recommend both!!

As for Fah... In the beginning, I had the same hopes as you, but, if anything, he did the opposite of growing on me in SIYH, and it was a hard watch because of that (I kept thinking “Prince deserved better” and it was almost impossible to root for them 😅)

... Well, a hard watch except for when Kluen and Dao were there, of course. I love seeing their dynamic as a established couple, because they look so... in tune, when they are together. Just so comfortable. Honestly, I don't even know how to explain. When a couple is so open about their affections, it can sometimes come across as... insincere, or exaggerated. But for them, it's like that comes naturally... I just find that very endearing.

(the review you posted about them in SIYH got me nodding along to everything you said! 🥺).

#i'm so grateful for this because of how it adds this heart wrenchingly beautiful tenderness to kluen (who is otherwise portrayed as being #cold and aloof) and allows him to show the soft tenderness he feels for dao

oh my god if you enjoy Kluen's soft tenderness towards Dao I can't wait to see how you'll feel about the extras!!!!

Sky in Your Heart is not everyone's cup of tea (in my case, I liked the setting and one of the characters, but not so much the other/them as a couple), but I recommend trying anyway, just to see if it works for you. If it doesn't, here's a list @airenyah made of the KluenDao moments scattered through the episodes, so you can find their scenes more easily.

After that, don't forget to watch the Star & Sky: Special Episode and their Our Skyy episode as well. All these extras are delightful, and I promise you're gonna love them 🥺

i... sort of see what you mean about SIYH not being everyone's cup of tea. i enjoyed watching Fah as Dao's doting/playful/protective older brother but as half of a main pair i can't help but find him kind of immature...although i'm cognisant of the fact that i've only just started the series and he'll probably grow in the process of the story. but its just weird to me because he's supposed to be a working adult who graduated a while ago, but he has bratty/entitled 2nd year uni student energy for some reason.

but already in episode 1 i am basking in Kluen and Dao's dynamic!! its kind of overwhelming to see them so... settled into their relationship.

obsessed with the way Dao looks up with that teasing amused kitten smile on his lips. obsessed with Kluen being this bold in his affection in front of other people (and specifically Fah, because Kluen clearly feels he lived up to his words in ep 8).

oh my gosh i'm just realising how excited i am to see domestic established relationship KluenDao!?!? like!!!!! normally you don't get that cuz the show ends when they get together and you maybe get a small glimpse into it during the special episode but this!?!? a whole series worth of guest-star moments!?!? *O*

someone make new siwaj's filmography make sense please because i do not fucking understand how this man was part of the team on uwma (absolutely amazing main storyline), abaab (one of the most beautiful and emotionally resonant love stories i've ever seen), simm/siyh (so boring and irrelevant it borders on impressive), double savage (what even was that), and between us (one of this year's biggest let-downs).

Late in the game, but to people saying Sky In You Heart is boring : I held an entire conversation with a person who knows absolutely nothing about the BL world but everything about stones and how you charge them with positive energy under the moonlight, so. You might want to rethink the boredom. At least this show gave us something.

Unlike TC, which got the top place it oh-so-much deserved.

Heh, I don't know, I don’t think the boring accusations are off-base tbh. Let's just say: if this had been a tournament about the most boring GMMTV BL series, SIYH would have probably left every other contestant in the dust but in this case, the Tonhon Chonlatee win is fully deserved. I will say, I did have a moment of pause when voting in the Ultimate Final, though, so I kinda get where everybody's coming from. Sky in Your Heart's boringness and Tonhon Chonlatee's overall badness are not mutually exclusive 😂

In conclusion, l'm personally very satisfied with the result and the winner.

I've been watching Star in My Mind (< half an hour left) and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching Joong and Dunk be total dumbasses for 7 1/2 eps so far! This is very much an idiot plot kind of show, but I also kind of get it—some people are just so incredibly bad at talking about their feelings (ask me how I know!) and some people are also really bad at saying no because they don't want to hurt people (again... ask me how I know) so I don't think it's totally nonsensical. But mainly I'm just here for Joong and Dunk pining cutely and idiotically lol and I’m enjoying all the supporting cast, too!

Also, I think I like it better than Sky in Your Heart (which I watched first, even though it's second chronologically)—I like the setting and the story idea better for SIYH but I prefer Joong and Dunk together... I don't know if it would have been something I'd stay engaged with week by week though

Anyway, this post is pointless, just wanted to say all that I guess

you crack a smile but the smile doesn’t reach your eyes. after all the crying you’ve done, all you want to do is go to sleep and dream about the future you and eunwoo you will never have together. you’re so dependent on him and although you aren’t aware, one would say you might be obsessed with your ex.

i mean, you’ve liked him since you first laid eyes on him, wrote about him in journals, and when you finally had him, you were never going to let him go but little did you know, it was him that would let you go.

all you can think about is how you practically BEGGED eunwoo to take you back, to make things work, but for some reason he sees something more for you. you wish you could see what he sees because your “more” is him. he’s always been the apple of your eye and now those dreams and fantasies are starting to fuel your heartbreak instead of filling your stomach with butterflies like they used to.

again, this just can’t be real.

you’re in such a daze that you don’t even realize jungkook grabbing your belongings and guiding you to the front door of his expensive home.

his home is lavish, extremely beautiful.

it’s neatly put together and it’s neither too hot nor too cold. the floors are made of polished marble floors with some areas of the home covered in white carpet floors. the stairs are polished mahogany and did you forget to mention how amazing his home smells?

you won’t lie, this place is huge and in someways, you understand what jungkook means when he mentioned having a huge house and living alone.

“this is beautiful” you gasp as you take in the contents of his home. you notice the fresh plants littered in his home and it makes you giggle a little “you into gardening? i heard plants in your home is good for the air quality” and as soon as you say there, there’s an air purifier on his kitchen counter.

“this place is amazing. why is your house so huge if you live by yourself?” you ask in a soft tone “you gatekeeping something? do you have a child? a pet? you can’t just live here alo—OH MY GOSH!! I FORGOT MILO!!“

He’s smiling goofily while you check out his home all star struck, you’ve got literal stars in your eyes and he’s so glad that you like it.

After all because it’s going to be your new home.

“Uh yn I don’t have a child- I don’t want to be a father. And I have a dog- a Doberman… his names bam… he’s probably sleeping.” Yeah, he’s got a dog and he loves him to death. He is the most adorable little big guy ever.

But soon jungkook can’t help get confused when you mention a milo.. who the fuck is milo? Jungkook scratches his head in confusion, “yn who’s milo?” He asks, looking at you, “never mind let me show you your room first.”

He wishes that he had time to decorate it just perfect for you, but he didn’t exactly expect you to come home siyh him… so Jungkook takes you towards the stairs, and the upper floor has five bedrooms.

The master bedroom is his. “Uhhhh this my little bedroom.” He laughs, it’s not exactly little and your reaction says it all. “Well yn why don’t you settle in? I’ll cook something nice for you.” Jungkook can’t wait for you to try his cooking.

He’s become a domestic man, he can’t wait to impress you.

It is so crazy how much he has changed…. “I’m a pretty decent cook.” He’s bragging about his skills while you settle your bags in your new bedroom that’s right next to his.

“If you need anything just let me know… and consider this your own home please.” He looks at you, smiling ever so brightly.

“And then you can meet bam!”

I've focused more on the boys so far just because I am more familiar with the BL GMMTV shows. But!
