Everytime I have to explain to someone that anti-homeless architecture is also anti-disabled architecture an angel dies.

Because you might think that replacing benches at bus stops or train stations with slanted leaning boards stops loitering or laziness but what it actually does is forces disabled people to be in potentially dangerous situations because they don’t have access to seating that they were counting on.

You might think that the slanted boards are a great idea to help people strengthen their legs but what about the elderly woman with a cane who’s just finished her shopping and needs to sit down.

Just because someone CAN stand and/or walk doesn’t mean they SHOULD stand and/or walk.

Anti-homeless architecture once again promotes to disabled people that society views us as an afterthought.

A statue of a slumbering Ariadne is in the foreground of this image of a desolate public square, rendered in de Chirico’s distinctive simple and broad forms. According to the Greek myth, Theseus abandoned his lover Ariadne on the island of Naxos while she slept. Ariadne acquired great personal symbolic meaning for de Chirico after he moved to Paris in 1911 and entered a period of isolation and loneliness. A dreamy escape into the classical past, the painting also serves as a retreat into de Chirico’s memories of his childhood in Greece.

The webs act as a form of protection. Armor spun from something delicate, a shield woven from tenderness. The sweater, too, functions as an outer shell. You put it on the same way you would wear armor

Guess who just submitted their thesis book!!!!

Just wanted to update since i see some of you guys here had been sticking with me for like years. (I made this blog when i was in 8th grade, pls dont look up my old art i will die from cringe)
