finally finished translating five pebbles' yapping to survivor, which also made me realize slugscript is not very space efficient;;

at least it'll look neater when i put it in the slugscript notebook

if you google “[movie] script” it should come up! I think most of them are on slugscript. I’ve found MI3, MI5, and MI6’s script that way

honestly the only downpour stuff in this language so far is just the names of scugs

hey yall! i just made a google doc to provide a digital version of all the stuff i write in slugscript, and add glosses to all of it;; i put it in the google drive folder with all the photos of my slugscript notebook :)

it only has part of five pebbles' rant rn but i'll finish it tomorrow and continue with the echo and moon dialogue i translated before

why is it called slugscript?? are you a big fan of slugs? and do you like snails too (i mean it in the nicest way possible)

so my conlang is called slug script because it's based on the dozen or so existing words/symbols from the game Rain World, and the animals you play as in that game are called slugcats, so i just combined the words :3

it's also why all the texts i've translated so far are from rain world

as for the actual animals,, i think theyre cool but i get icky touching them

at some point i will probably have a website or other fully fledged documentation for slug script, i'll find a way to make it work

yall i keep switching up these two basic pronouns in my own conlang it's almost embarrassing;;; AND!! i speak toki pona, and the arrows are in the opposite direction of the way the glyphs point in the writing system for toki pona too, so it's even more confusing

i realised whenever i type slug script i am incredibly inconsistent with whether there's a space in the name or not, maybe i'll just make two tags with both options now lol

and honestly i just love looking at large blocks of slug script it looks so pretty to me

redid my slugscript notebook AGAIN because i couldnt handle the indecipherable tiny writing of my other one

i want to mention that the actual texts/translations are written normally from the front, while the grammar/wordlist is written backwards and upside down from the back of the book

also slug script uses seximal counting system, i hope i converted the number correctly on that second photo

aww thankss i had a serious hyperfixation on rain world about a year ago and my little conlanging brain latched on to the little symbols in the game, enough that i wanted to make a whole language :3

i just spent an hour writing by hand the entirety of my slugscript materials into a notebook BUT it's all for the better bc now i can work on slug script in outside places without having to flip through a stack of lined paper

i'm hoping my handwriting is good enough for future me to decipher
