Question for Frost: Has Flame (on accident, or on purpose) committed unnecessary arson? And if he has, how many times have you had to deal with it?

So, with the ending of Slugterra season two, remember how Blite just showed up, and it seemed like it would lead into the next series with a cool fight, and then they just never used him... Ever again...

With that information, how do you think season three should've started off if it wasn't the ghouled slinger? Because in my universe, an intelligent scientist who worked for Dr. Blakk sort of takes his place and becomes the next up coming antagonist, and this can flesh out and give more screen time to the characters in your Hc+ and (Blite, Dana, Stocker etcetera, etcetera, as well as Twist I think. And I would've adored seeing more of Frost and Flame's duo dynamic. And maybe we could see how villains that worked for Dr. Blakk are doing now).

Based on some evidence from Ghoul from Beyond,

I can very much so see a alternate S3 dealing with the dismantling of what's left of Balkk Industries.

Up until GfB Ghouls where still out and about in the Caverns and Balkks henchmen were still causing problems. I can see the Higher ranked employees like the Scientist in you're AU splintering off into different factions, and using what's left of Balkks Empire for their own purposes.

See who's still causing trouble, or trying to just, not get shipped off the Stalagmight 17 lmao

As for the Shane Gange and extended HC Gang, they would probably be trying to fully stop Blakk's forces. And get into classic shenanigans as they do so?

Maybe go hunting for Shane Secrets in between missions?

Saturday's staff has been added to the Slugterra Roblox game! (kind of)

I say they only Kind of added it because while the one they added looks exactly like the Wild Spectre VD (the official name of Saturday's blaster) the one they added is called the Spectral Staff and according to its description, is a replica

What strikes me as odd is with all of the other blasters that specifically belonged to villains (C.C and John Bull) or neutral mercenaries(Frost and Flame), the names are unchanged and will say something like "was once wielded by (insert name here)" so why is this one specifically singled out as a replica with Saturday's name unmentioned?

I have several questions

Does this mean that the location of Saturday's blaster is unknown and the rest have been taken from their respective owners?

is it only a replica because Saturday is being added as a boss at some point and both allowing the player to fight him with his own blaster or taking away his iconic one wouldn't make sense?

Who made the replica and why?

Based off Mr frosty the snowman's comment. Read below to decide if this is worth restarting the damn story line around Slugterra with magic and stuff.

“I’m going to start with a very simple question.”

His engine roared, motorbike speeding it’s way across the caverns, Trix scowling as they sped towards the twins. Dumber of the pair shouting back as they chased him.

“LODE!!”

She dragged the blade behind her. Red curled hair boiling back as she strode forward. Anger in her eyes as she strode towards the man, grey skin, body strengthened in the darkness. Burning red eyes meeting demonic yellow.

“Under who’s fucking orders-”

Speeding away, shouting back at his stupid brother. Blakk was gone. Their lives gone, Ma shot dead with whatever That was chasing behind, a strange mechabeast driving towards him. Black bodied helmet, leather clothes, a strange blaster that seemed to shoot slugs of metal and death. Arm bleeding as he continue to ride.

“STOP CHASING ME YA NUB!!!”

Yelping, loud shots ringing behind him, ducking his head as the woman oddly cursed in that weird easterner’s tongue.

Chinese. Something like that, cursing loudly as she sped past the Shane. This new program of Eli’s, it’d been trouble after trouble. Days spent coupled, protecting the caverns had clearly awakened something, turning the criminals into a police force that would have worked with the Shanes to keep the peace. Earn glory and gold through generally legal means. A mad pitch, but the first Shane to defeat several world ending disasters was something nobody could truly dare argue against.

And now? Well, she’d blown her way in, lightning crackling as she shot down an illegal dealing.

My head still ached from whatever impact that weird crystal that’d vanished into nothing she’d thrown to the floor. Revving engines, Eli calling behind me.

“GRA-”

“YEAH YEA-”

She’d managed to shout back, sparks of lightning erupting as whatever weapon she had. A ‘gun’ or pistol, or whatever it was. It didn’t use slugs, Beatrice didn’t hear most of what Eli had said, most of anything didn’t make sense. Sure, they’d saved the world over a period of years. And then a few months. But this had only been a day. Pounding against her skull, body pushing back before she could half hear something.

“OH FUCK ME.”

English. For the first time since she’d arrived, eyes growing wide. Strange woman’s robotised voice cutting through as she dropped the gun to her bike’s side. Popping a wheely, lightning sparking out of the vehicles engine as storm clouds gathered above.

And now she stood, frozen in place. Head turning to the massive expanse of black stone, the courtyard of the underground holding cell. The coupled up cave system in this small corner of Hell, court standing a few metres aside as she turned to the entrenched fort leader.

“What the HELL did you do?”

Bravado long gone. Birthright in her eyes, the man smirking, snarling as blood rain erupted over one half of the twin.

“What our kind has alway done.”

He replied. The woman shook her head. Releasing her anger, flames erupting at her fingers as she drew her blade back.

“And I’ve long explained that belief is what caused us to fall.”

Locke managed to force his brother to stop, woman loudly cursing as she gripped the encased stone item.

“JESUS FUCKING- OH SHUT THE FUCK- EMARCHINA- CUNT!!!”

And evidently. Whatever it was she tried to do, wasn’t working.

“GUYS…”

The stranger’s bike floated up, item cracking. Red shards expanding into what looked like a circle, my heart sank. Stomach swallowing as Locke stammered out.

“I- That-”

“GO HOME.”

Snarling through her teeth, glaring at the bandit as his thicker headed brother slapped his head.

I kind of love how stupid and of this time, though not really, this dog shit take is. I grew up in the Total Drama era of cartoons. You know, when Disney was doing Disney XD which was explicitly for older audiences and Cartoon Network had censored boobs flashed on screen and had to censor swears with beeps because that was just part of the show. I even remember friggin 6Teen which was 100% towards teenagers.

And most of these shows BOMBED HARD because teenagers have less time than kids, less pull on their parents for making them buy merchandise and, over here in America, are often trying to distance themselves from cartoons because of our cultural stigmas. Total Drama is I think the only one that actually succeeded and even then, it still flamed out. I mean, who remembers Max Steel? Slugterra? Stormhawks? Surfs Up?

So that's the business side of it but this post is also both incredibly juvenile and also culturally isolated. I mean... Okay, go watch anime.

That's not even a joke. Remember that the VAST majority of OG Dragonball is for kids. Not even teens but kids. And that includes dick, overt references to sex, GIANT GAPING HOLES IN PEOPLE, explicit death, etc. and that was back in the 90s. If you want a modern example though: Spy x Family is rated at PG-12, two years younger than in the US, despite it having a LOOOOT of explicit murder without censored blood or anything.

But that's because culturally, Japan is way more accepting of what animation can do and frankly what kids can handle. They also are much more open to a wider range of topics in their media in general and will just throw shit at the wall and see what works way more than America does. Shounen Jump is famous for finding its golden series by churning through projects that they kill VERY quickly.

And not all of these are more genuinely adult like Spy x Family. Rent a Girlfriend began in 2020 and it features arguably the sex industry, overt masturbation, etc. like that and it's PG-12. It's also hot garbage and VERY immature but that IS a part of the PG-13 rating that this poster is asking for. Because, you know...

Cursing and saying "Kill" doesn't mean mature. How are we having this argument in 2024? This isn't the nineties! Since when was getting to say "Bitch" adult? Many more people nowadays find control to be far more adult because swearing up and down is usually a sign of immaturity and lack of creativity.

Unless of course you're about to tell me that Hazbin Hotel is the most mature thing EVAR! -_-

And hey, here's your CONSTANT reminder on all of this for TOH specific: Hunchback of Notre Dame is Disney. 1996. Sure, they also censored making Frolo explicitly Christian but they showed his torment of the Romani. They showed what his oppression did. They showed death and violence FAR beyond anything in TOH because, you know, they actually tried.

TOH could have done so much more in its first season and a half but it never showed an interest in these elements. It was too busy patting itself on the back for being a groundbreaking kid's show while only having its representation be new.

Being for teens or adults doesn't immediately make you better. It's an argument as old as time and it always leads to bad content because it's demographic driven, not creative.

There needs to be more PG13 cartoons

for the longest time I've said that there needs to be a cartoon channel that produces cartoons aimed at teenagers, and no not adult swim. I'm not talking about family guy and south park I mean cartoons like the owl house and gravity falls that are aimed at teens instead of little kids. Because if the show was rated PG13 imagine how much better it would be? It's obvious that belos is a puritan or possibly a quaker, but Disney would never allow him to come right out and say, "I'm doing this in the name of our lord" like an actual christian would. They would also be able to say 'kill' instead of 'made them disappear'. But unlike with most adult cartoons there wouldn't be tons and tons of extremely graphic violence, blood and sex. I mean just imagine if Luz actually did say "talk to the glyph bitch" when fighting Lilith. I would pay money to watch a PG13 gravity falls, oh my god Stan would cuss like a sailor and it would be great.

This is The true story About The Origins of Infurnus and Shane’s ancestor ( Yang’s fiancee)

This story tell about the two flame slugs named Juju and Burpy are two infurnus who live in The Northern carven ( in surface called “Denmark”) in skydning carvern. This slugs is find by The first female slinger, The first Shane, first generation Shane mastering slug fu, Yang’s lover (Junjie’s ancestor), first protector and first all carvern champion and being called “Mother of all slugs” who enter The drop to the Slugterra during in Iron age Denmark.

Ooo, I kinda like that the first Shane was a woman and related to Junjie through Yang. I wonder how Burpy and Juju got separated and ended up in their respective caverns? I always thought the Shanes were Irish, but I love hearing other people's headcanons and theories!

Hi, questions for your ask series. This time for the mercenaries (Frost, Flame, the gentleman, Stocker)

To Flame and Frost: What's your opinion on each other. And how long have you known each other?

To the gentleman: How you lose your eye, and/or how did you get your cyborg eye?

To Stocker: What's your opinion on Eli Shane now? (Also how much do you care for your Slughounds?)

The duo of Frost and Flame are having lunch in the Monarch Inn. Flame is yapping away as Frost sips from his cold coffee mug. Frost averts his gaze of his partner to look at the camera. "It's cool man... Flame is a cool dude. Though he sometimes needs to chill out sometimes. He can be a hot headed looney."

Flame didn't seem to hear anything from Frost but did hear the asker. "Yeah! Frost is sick partner! Him and I go way back. Used to visit the same cavern to train our slugs, dueled each other and found out we work like a dream!"

The Gentleman happens to also be enjoying his lunch at the Monarch Inn as well, sipping on a root beer float. "I did not lose my eye. However, it has begun to deteriorate with how often I use my visor. I do see a benefit from this over usage, it allows my eye to see far better in the dark if my visor is not longer viable."

On the far end of the dining area, Stocker is sharing his meal with his Slug Hounds. He glares at the camera. "That Shane boy is more than he lets on. I'll give it to him. He does have a brain between his ears at times. That stubbornness is a problem though."

He pets his Slug Hounds, the duo of hunters greedily enjoying the affection. "My care for my hounds is equal of that to my best slugs. I am not a moron who'd minimize their quality of life just for a quick gain in my hunts."

This is on the last question on mercenary head canons. Since Flame has a really bad sleep schedule, does that mean when he finally sleeps for ages, does Frost have to go or does go on an lot of solo missions?

And what do something or the mercs do in their free time on their chill days?

Frost takes those days to do some simple work, mainly dealing with their fiances and doing food shopping. Flame sleeps like a log on the couch. For their off days, Flame like running laps around the town if not playing on the game console he and Frost share. Both love a spot of gaming but really love Slugball. Huge fans of the Blade City Brutes. Shockwire will be doing his own thing, training, slinging, relaxing. But also loves to hang with Flame and Frost to watch Slugball matches too. He however is a fan of the Miners.

Andre actually is a part-time Slugball player (he was in the Blade City Brutes along with Sid the Kid and Waylon in the Slugball episode). So he does play when he's called on. Other times, he finds himself visiting the Monarch Inn to catch up with Quill (his ex-girlfriend he still has feelings for) and Gar. This is also where he (unfortunately for him) met Quill's new partner, the Gentleman.

And turning to the Gentleman, he uses his time off to reconnect with his brother and his slugs. Other days he goes on dates with his ex-employer's assistant (aka Quill).

Stocker spends his off time either hunting wild game (Slugterrian deer hunting) or just slacking off at home with his slug hounds.

Fantastic. I never thought about blakk's industrial tech in the lens of him knowing about the surface. Could he have read the journal and found some Shane trade secrets that could've keyed him in on some surface industrial methods?!? Fuck thats brilliant, that so could have happened I can see it.

Also...ugh, time to come out on tumblr but this is worth it. I'm an air rifle instructor irl and know a lot about firearms. I actually buy that the gattler is new to slugterra, because a)they're using crystal energy, similar to sun energy, and their blasters aren't set off by a hot strike/flame to gunpowder/release of intense pressure - so yeah rapid fire in quick succession would be very difficult while maintaining the life and accuracy of the blaster and b) the SURFACE didn't have the ability to manufacture safe magazines for like forever. For a very long time (and they still do today be safe yall) firearms can just...misfire. If you bumped it too hard. Or if you were riding a horse. I'm not a firearm manufacturer, but man, there were many prototypes to the firing mechanism before the common techniques found today. not to mention, gattlers are huge - there's a reason no one in the wild west used a big tank-like weapon, they needed something to travel light with. Blakk's gattler is huge and heavy and only useful in, like, heavy artillery battles. So I buy that gattlers weren't made sucessfully, or were made sucessfully but not many found use for them...till Blakk the capitalist came to town lol

but yeah if u or anyone got more thoughts on the "I owe him my life" line im all ears!!!

"Honestly, annoying when it's Shockwire, Frost and Flame. They're just the worst." He rubs his arm. "I still feel the burns, freezes and shocks they gave me last fight. They're okay-ish outside of me fighting them as the Flaming Star."

He pulls up his school's photo reel and sets it onto Mr Lucas Bravado. "I'm still in shock my English teacher is someone whose working for Principal Blakk outta school hours. He's REALLY good at fighting and sometimes I feel like he may know..."

To the surface bound mercs: How are your normal jobs going?

The Gentleman folds down his laptop and interlocks his fingers politely. "My work as one of the Darefield English teachers is quite relaxing. My mannerisms and teaching degree is aiding the youth of today to learn proper grammar and spelling. No more of these absurd 'aberrations' used in small talk and conversations, such as 'ttyl' and 'lol'."

We flash over to the element trio of mercs.

Shockwire was fixing some wiring above the heads of Frost and Flame at the store checkout. Flame held onto the ladder Shockwire was perched on whilst Frost watched the electronic system fritz and blur itself into near-life. Frost sighed. "It has been slow in the store... not even Sprinks leaves his security room to see customers."

Flame huffs, "It's so BORING. Why can't we get a rush hour so I can rush carts and baskets into people?"

"Hey! Keep the ladder steady, you broken matchstick!" Shockwire growled from the ceiling tile.

Frost turned to the camera, "I can answer for Shockwire a bit... he has been more hands on around town. Being an apprentice electrician and all that jazz."

To Frost and Flame: What's your favourite thing you like about each other?

Frost hums a cool tune before answering. "His energy man.... he does things I can not do... like running for hours without a single drop of sweat. He heats things up for when our targets get away."

Flame holds a cheeky grin. "He's just so cool and down to earth. Whatever people say. He's just a really awesome dude! His tactics of catching targets is ice-cold cruel! And I love it!"

Something rustles nearby, both mercs turn their heads to it. Frost exclaims.

"What was that?"

Flame stalks closer to the noise. "I dunno but I'mma blast it with a Flaringo!"

From behind a set of curtains leaps out a red-haired elven man. He dives for the camera and bolts.

Frost and Flame scream in unison. "MATTTTTTT!"

The elf turns the camera onto himself and smirks into the lens. "Heheh! My turn to host now! Welcome to Matt's Chaos Corner!"

To the mercs: What slug/s (depending how many you have of the species) do you main?

Frost, Shockwire and Flame shared the same raised eyebrow expression. All three would hold up their main slug species. Frost showed a Frostcrawler, Shockwire held a Tazerling and Flame presented a Flaringo. The trio then turned to see the Gentleman and his answer.

"My selection of slugs I have been fond of using include; Arachnets, Poleros, Rammstones, Grenukers, Jellyish, and my partner slug, Skipper."

A yellow-toned Speedstinger stood on Gent's shoulder, chriping happily.

To Frost and Flame: What do you do for dates, and what was your first?

Flame puffs out his chest and announces. "We do just regular stuff; go to the bar, get some drinks, sling some slugs, do our missions together. Sometimes! Frost takes me to this hot restaurant! 'Parently his folks own it or something?"

Frost hums his answer to clarify. "My parents and my extended family all work there... its easier to go there than booking somewhere else, man."
