I just thought of this since Eli is a Shane, shouldn't he be getting like kidnapped daily because of this? Or is it because the writers didn't want to scare the kids with it? And how would the Shane gang, plus the HC gang, react to this?

I don't think the writers where afraid of Eli getting kidnapped, I mean look at 'The Thrill of The Game', the whole Gang was more or less kidnapped(as luring someone to a location and then holding them hostage can be considered that to a degree).

also keep in mind this was 2012, Kaijudo ROTD(which was arguably darker in some of this themes), Ultimate Spider-man, HTTYD Rise of Berk (it had its moments), 2012 TMNT, also, Johnny Test and like, a number of other shows aired at the time which got way(debatably)darker then simplely kidnapping the main protag.

and this isn't touching Transformers Prime, because while it came out 2010 it ended 2013 and they straight up show us serval war crimes, harm to children(two instances being hunting), desecration of a corps, robot gore, and viral vampire zombie robot infection, organ robbery, robot and human murder, JUST- SIALS and literal abuse soooo when it comes to it being 'to much' the bar is low its, I wanna say after 2016-2017 when stuff got cracked down on.

and if anything, it just wouldn't make sense given Eli's character? Boy isn't going down without a fight.

Like yeah, use a Slyren or chloroform gas to knock him out, but like, I think the general idea is, 'why kidnap a Shane? seems more trouble then its worth'

Cuz like, the reason why a kidnapping occurs if usually either for a ransom, either monetary or of an object of some kind, to get information or use the victim against the hero. More or less there are like other reasons, but those tend to be the most common from what I understand.

And, again, little to no benefit to nabbing a single Shane, other then mind control reasons, and trying to pry out Shane secrets. Like if Will was around, the idea may have been entertained by Blakk or another villain more often.

With that said, in a hypothetical, situation Eli is kidnapped, It's by the Game Master, again, because it was hinted he would come back, since he wasn't caught/arrested.

Eli would wake up in a glass cage. tube to be more accurate, like a giant slug shell. his baster is missing and his slugs are gone. and all there is, is a monitor on the other side of the glass which flickers to life, and his team, his friends- family are all just coming too on there respective screens, each one in a different room.

"wha- oh what the f- GAME MASTER!" Stocker yells, his voice a tinged by the static of the monitor and speakers.

and course of groans to cursing follow from the others realizing the Game Master had shown up yet again much to their ire.

"i- wait, hold up I can see everyone but-" Kord started squinting at something off camera Eli couldn't see.

"ELI!" the others shout. from what limited context the young Shane could gather, the others probably had monitors as well that let them see and hear each other, with the exception of himself.

"Well it seems my mice have woken up!" crackled a voice form a separate PA system. Game Master.

"Let us out of here!" Trixie demanded.

"gerr, jerk took my Shadow Walker-" Dana growled.

"COWERD!" Mario yelled

"Game Master, I swear when I get out of here-" Gent hissed.

"tisk, tisk, no need to get nasty" Game Master said, and a dormant screen flickered to life for the others, that showed Eli in his tube, and then, some water started to trickle in, slow but steady.

"... oh you gotta be kidding me" Eli muttered, lifting his foot up a little.

"Once I say so, you have eight hours to find Eli Shane, the key's to his freedom are strewn around your little labyrinth, along with his gear and slugs, tick tock, time starts now!" Gem Master said in a sing song tune as the PA cut out.

"PRONTO IS MOST OFFENDED BY THIS! HOW COME ELI GET'S CENTER STAGE!"

"This is not what I meant about team building" Vance muttered already trying to work through the puzzle in his room so he could get the door open.

"I was not aware, your Caverns had such, eccentric individuals" Junjie said flatly, pulling at a rope, unlocking his door.

"just say it like it is Junjie, Game Masters a BI-"

Gentleman, Stocker: What do you think of each other after the events took place at Blakk's citadel?

The Gentleman and Stocker are placed into the same interviewing room. The two share a glance, the Gentleman's a calm and civil stare while Stocker's shows annoyance but also respect to the other merc in the room.

Stocker grunts, "His track record is impressive."

The Gentleman returns the banter, "Gerhard Stocker, you have quite the strong stigma about yourself. One who they claim as 'Silent but Deadly'. It is very impressive to I as well."

Stocker's face breaks into a small grin before going back to its resting frown. "Yeah whatever."

The awkward silence grows between the two... maybe its best they finish up here and go back to work soon.

Do you guys like this idea of a rewrite?

Hey, so a few months ago, I watched a video explaining why TGFB and everything after didn't work.

And I think that that points made sense, and they also thought that it was annoying how the Eastern caverns looked just the same as the 99 caverns and seemingly developed the same (which of course, doesn't make sense). As well as Junjie being stereotypical with what he says and do and just being there for Slugfu to be inserted in.

So here's how I would've rewritten the series from after the defeat of Dr. Blakk:

First, I would've introduced the Eastern caverns later. This is because there was so much more they could've done in the 99 caverns, like developing more characters such as Stocker, the Gentleman (as in we see his gentleman complex), Dana, and Twist getting a proper redemption arc of sorts. As well as spotlight to other side characters like Mario, Vance, and extras like Billy becoming a proper rival with Eli and I seriously wish and would've adored seeing a Frost and Flame friend duo (that could be development as we see how they care for each other) and trio if you add good ol' Shockwire into the mix. But yeah, and as I mentioned it would make sense that they have to stop the villains and higher ups of Blakk using bits of his remaining empire to excel in their new goals (the wonderful @a-sad-mage gave me the great idea from building off my own). They could also recruit members They missed the opportunity to have recruited in the earlier seasons. Like Vance, Mario, Dana and (while I suggest maybe in a season two so the main antagonist or multiple villains are fleshed out as well as so the decision isn't immediate and he gets more development first) Stocker.

They also would meet new characters (friend, allie, or foe) to deal with new Gangs or enemies stirring up trouble (e.g. in my story, the Stunters). As well as see new caverns like the tropical caverns that Mr. Saturday is from and learning new secrets (about dark magic and secret AI creations).

There could also be a mercenary gang, who team up with the Shane gang from time to time, with Stocker often being more so in his element around the more skilled mercenaries (which he knows from the past).

And the Eli development this season would be, another idea given to me by @a-sad-mage is:

"Not everything is Black and white."

This would first be seen (in my story featuring my ocs) with W.B.

And it would in a similar way to @a-sad-mage 's idea. The stunters end up entering the same tournament as the Shane gang. And Eli decides to go off for a bit while they wait and W.B.'s also goes of because as I mentioned in a previous post, W.B. forgets to eat before they get to the tournament. So the two meet and they seem to leave the interaction as somewhat friends. But as soon as they find out the Gangs there from, it doesn't settle exactly well...

After the tournament, Eli tries to talk to W.B. but he insists they can't be 'allies' because:

"Y-You're the Shane!... And we'r- I'm a bad guy!... And-And... Uh... Those don't mix!..."

So the relationship doesn't go so well, but after a few more interactions with the stunters and both Gangs get split into groups (e.g. Trixie, Eli and W.B.), Eli manages to find out more of W.B., making him realise that not all people choose their circumstances.

So when the team members get reunited with their respective Gangs, and Minotaur leaves an interesting reaction with Stocker, Dana, and he finds out W.B.'s new found friendship. He... Allows it?! Saying that is was simple because apparently:

"You helped us out of this, and helped W.B., so it makes sense..."

But Dana, Stocker and Mario already know that there's definitely something more to it.

But the twos Gangs leave the interaction with a shaky truce...

So this makes Eli realise good people can get in bad situations and circumstances but still be good even if they don't change those circumstances.

And the second one is:

"Good intentions don't always mean good actions."

This happens when in the mercenary gang, there is a member that goes by Chénxuán, surprising Eli because 'Isn't that a Chinese name?'

And he ends up being correct. But Chénxuán's main goal is he wants to find out how, with the use of this entity that helps him with its powers (kinda like a stand), he can go back in time so he can go home after he was thrown through a time loop into the modern day of the 99 caverns after almost dying in a war against an evil emperor.

Which at first seems innocent, right?

But as it goes on, Eli begins noticing all the questionable actions Chénxuán does to try and reach his goal.

But after a boiling point, Chénxuán... Has a breakdown?...

And Eli realises the weight of Chénxuán's situation and how desperate he is to get home. (And while I won't spoil my idea of how it properly ends) Eli helps Chénxuán move on and forward in a brighter direction.

So this of course leads to more development for Eli.

And then after defeating more villains and the main antagonist/s, then the portals introduced.

And this could also lead to a possible spin off series of the lives of older characters when they were younger (e.g. the old stunters short chapter series I'm gonna do).

Say if you want me to a part too because this took a while already.

Who's your favorite Slugterra character?

For me, this seems and I guess is random, but it was the mercenary from endangered species, Stocker. Because I think he's pretty cool, and it seemed like he was one of the only characters going to get character development, before they absolutely wasted it with so much other potential and interesting characters-

*Coughs* Dana, Twist, Blite, the Hooligan, the Gentleman, Vance, Mario, Mr. Saturday. *More violent coughing.*

No I totally get why Stocker would be ur fav, he’s actually a rlly cool character! But our fav, which is funnily enough one of the ones you listed, is Dana! We would LOVEEEE to know more about her, and the fact that she uses Arachnet slugs to swing like Spider-Man!? Oh my goddddddddd!!

With the last post *mwah* chef's kiss. Love the interactions.

But I had two ideas and two questions.

What would Lia think about the dark water victims and/or experiments: Otto and his mercenary/assassin partner Miran, Dred and Max (before and/or after the reveal of his actual age)?

And what would Lia think of Aiden's adoptive mother (she's a chill, slightly cocky and jocking/mocking woman who lost her right arm from her former mercenary work)?

And the two ideas:

One: Aiden's a recovering dark water user and former assassin now doing mercenary work (who becomes a sorta rival/allie/enemy to Stocker) ends up being slightly chill/nicer to the rest of the Shane gang (especially Eli and Lia) after a few reluctant (though less as they happened a bit more) alliances. So I feel like he'd be with Lia and Eli all normal and then later immediately leaving the two and terrorising and annoying Stocker, the Gentleman and Morgana with all the pent up craziness he held back.

And two: Morgana and Lia get a friendship of sorts. You see, Morgana has a lot of trauma from her experimenting/imprisonment and trafficking in the Slugterra black market, so she's very aggressive (also due to the dark water in her body).

But I feel like in a few random alliance times, in a later one, there'd be a moment where Lia's about to get hit or hurt, but Morgana ends up saving or protecting her and afterwards Lia's surprised but Morgana acts like she does not care. But I feel like more and more Lia and Morgana would start to chat and even get Morgana to laugh once. And Morgana hates touch but I feel like she'd be slightly injured and Lia would try to help her and Morgana would actually let her touch her, though holding back some uncomfortableness.

But that's just a few fun ideas I hope you like :)

First off the Lia and the rest of the Shane gang would be in shock by how many people were victimized by Dark water( and truly hate Dr. Blakk more because of it) and then afterwards want to help them out with anything.

Also if Lia did meet Aiden’s adoptive mother, both she and Eli would be interested in her story and ask questions about what it was like when she was young. Also I see them asking if they can call her Nana.

I like both ideas Aiden recovering from the dark water and wanting to interact with her and Eli. And same with Morgan and Lia having a small relationship and being there to help Morgan get back on her feet. Also I can definitely see Aiden going off on Gent, Stocker, and Morgan just to get it out of his system. All and all great ideas.

I had this dream where Eli and the gang are coming back from a mission, they go through a city, Eli hears some whimpering in an alley way, goes to investigate the sound and finds a tiny slug hound puppy abandoned. Instantly brings the little pup home with them and ask stocker what should he do? Also the puppy is a girl.

He would at first be like, 'Fine! I'll keep her for now until I can find her a proper owner, I don't another Slug Hound'

But immediately folds and keeps her.

Going back to stocker and Eli fighting every time, I think there’s a reason to it. Hear me out Stocker wants Eli to be prepared for any situation either being separated from the team or throwing fists at a random villain. Stocker wants Eli to be ready and since the fact Will did not teach him anything combat ( which may have irked him knowing Eli knew so little about combat) So now he’s making sure that Eli is prepared for any situation. Also I think stocker has a soft spot for Eli and the gentleman teases him about it when no one is looking.

Stocker is still dealing with his 'i don't care, but I do?' Feelings, so this is perfect-

And Gent just, immediately clocking Stocker is pulling his punches and actually training the young Shane, and then teasing him is grate as well because I can see Stocker losing his cool and try to punch Gent only for Gent to doge him easily and walk away snickering to himself.

I think Stocker, while irked by Will not teaching his son hand to hand combat, he kinda understands, seeing as how Eli would have been a kid, and while kids learning self defense isn't uncommon, Stocker figured Will wanted Eli to have a bit more a childhood, and if things had been different would have taught him.

Doesn't stop Stocker from going on a tangent about Jimmo Shane, however. Eli lived with the guy before showing up. And Jimmo Shane, at least I like to think, had a mean right hook and was considered to be as good at hand to hand combat as he was at slinging.

He's still going to deck Will Shane however, that's just, a thing that needs to happen.

But yesssss using their near daily fist fights as training, and Stocker developing a soft spot for Eli is a perfect take on their dynamic

Okay I want to know, if everyone found out that Blight was Eli’s uncle how would everyone( including Dana, Mario, Vance, and Gentleman) react to that? And how would stocker feel about it since he cares about Eli?

Blite, at first, has his, "i can't believe I'm related to the Shane's!" Crash out provided he didn't know(being one of Jimmos basterds and not knowing lmao), but if he did know, Blite is doing everything he can to not be seen as a Shane.

Eli is having a crisis. It's one thing to learn your Dad did morally questionable things, but to have an uncle you knew nothing about, and have that man be BLITE of all people is causing him to spiral. Eli would briefly question his position as Shane, till Blite makes it very clear there is no way he would ever take the responsibilities of being the Shane, let alone the name.

Blite still hates Will Shane after all-

Trixie and Kord are trying to do mental math to figure out how this is even possible, and are wondering if Eli has any more secret relatives, while helping him through his crisis.

Dana, Vance, Mario, Gent, have heard tails of Blite, everyone has. And they are absolutely floord that Eli is somehow related to the Neotox Slinger. Blite is like the boogeyman, after all.

Stocker would have joined after 'It Comes by Night' and we first learn about Blite, in 'No Exit' which happens before. So Eli being Blite's nephew is something Stocker would learn, way later provided that information somehow didn't leak out and onto the SlugNet.

But the moment Stocker does learn about it, he's feeling real glad Eli is as nice of a person as he is.

Pronto is just living for the drama, it's like his Telenovela's brought to life!

Question if gentlemen and stocker are there around the time Mario, Dana and Vance are wouldn’t it be awkward since Dana is supposed to be dead and the gentleman saw her again ( also I’ve seen people ship them do you ship Dana and gentleman?) Also how would Mario and Vance be after meeting the ex bounty hunters?

If I remember correctly, The Gentleman knew Dana wasn't dead, Eli cut a deal with Gent to hit Dana with a Geoshard Slug at just the right angle to make it look like she had her heart encased to appease Blakk, allowing the Gang to then use a Slyren to heal Dana a few minutes later.

But safe to assume, after that fiasco, Gent didn't think he'd ever see Dana or the rest of the Shane Gang again, let alone join the team lmao.

Also, what was that one Puss in Boots meme again?

Dana, while grateful Gent didn't actually kill her, is still holding a little bit of a grudge, and when given the chance she settled the score. Maybe engage in some pranks. But i think once it's out of her system, she and Gent could become friends? Like they both had a particular skill set, and I see them bonding over it and practicing together.

Personally, I don't ship them, but I do think it's an interesting dynamic. Gives me Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox vibes. With Dana as Sly and Gent as Carmelita.

Okay I gotta know something how would stocker and the gentleman be after tads betrayal?

Both, Stocker and Gent, as former Slinger for higher, are naturally cautious of the people around them, especially new people.

Sure Tad is a thirteen year old kid, but something about him was just off.

Stocker and Gent didn't trust Tad. Especially since he wouldn't say we're exactly he's from

(Gent and Stocker both don't know about the Surface, and Eli quickly makes sure Tad knows not to bring it up around them)

They are just as upset as the rest of the Gang when Tad inevitably back stabs them.

"I knew something was wrong with you!"

"Tisk, should have trusted my instincts"

Additionally, by the end of ITS, Stocker and Gent learned about the Surface, as it was inevitable with everything going on.

Question on (and maybe for) characters who own Slughounds:

(On wiki, it says slughounds are very vicious but quite loyla). So are Slughounds only really affectionate to their owner/s?

And how long does it take to train a slughound?

Stocker, the Game Master and Ivor 'the White Bear' Lewis all have cameras put to their faces.

Stocker snarls and pushes at the camera. "Get that thing out of my face. My slug hounds are none of your business. They're loyal to me and trained from puppies. That's all you're getting."

The Game Master is taking this in a more relaxed state. He's laying back on his chair whilst a slughound in a pink harness lays her head on his lap. "If you're really wanting to know more about slug hounds, then yes, they are only loyal to their owners and those they like. Isn't that right, Speckles? You wanna eat those Shane Gang cheaters?"

The slug hound on his lap barks with glee.

The camera on Ivor was smashed to bits, only an audio being present. The gruff deep Russian accent of the man was clear. "Slug hounds are easy to raise if you just treat them like your grunts." (Editor's note; Ivor is not to be trusted on his words. He is the pseudo head of the Blakk Markets afterall)

Hi, questions for your ask series. This time for the mercenaries (Frost, Flame, the gentleman, Stocker)

To Flame and Frost: What's your opinion on each other. And how long have you known each other?

To the gentleman: How you lose your eye, and/or how did you get your cyborg eye?

To Stocker: What's your opinion on Eli Shane now? (Also how much do you care for your Slughounds?)

The duo of Frost and Flame are having lunch in the Monarch Inn. Flame is yapping away as Frost sips from his cold coffee mug. Frost averts his gaze of his partner to look at the camera. "It's cool man... Flame is a cool dude. Though he sometimes needs to chill out sometimes. He can be a hot headed looney."

Flame didn't seem to hear anything from Frost but did hear the asker. "Yeah! Frost is sick partner! Him and I go way back. Used to visit the same cavern to train our slugs, dueled each other and found out we work like a dream!"

The Gentleman happens to also be enjoying his lunch at the Monarch Inn as well, sipping on a root beer float. "I did not lose my eye. However, it has begun to deteriorate with how often I use my visor. I do see a benefit from this over usage, it allows my eye to see far better in the dark if my visor is not longer viable."

On the far end of the dining area, Stocker is sharing his meal with his Slug Hounds. He glares at the camera. "That Shane boy is more than he lets on. I'll give it to him. He does have a brain between his ears at times. That stubbornness is a problem though."

He pets his Slug Hounds, the duo of hunters greedily enjoying the affection. "My care for my hounds is equal of that to my best slugs. I am not a moron who'd minimize their quality of life just for a quick gain in my hunts."

I just had this thought: since Lia (my OC) is 14 years old, I can see her being shocked at the fact that down here in Slugterra, the school education system is so different from what she's used to in the surface world. And she gets a little jealous of that. Eli agrees with her on that. I can also see everyone, including the HC gang, asking what the education system is like in the surface world. And for Lia and Eli, telling them what they know off the top of their head. How would everyone, including the HC gang, react to this?

Like after a certain age, Schooling is like more or less optional depending on what trade you go into in the Cavern's, and even then you can change focus or learn different things at anytime.

The biggest example of this probably being Blakk himself, starting out as a hard labor worker, then Gang leader eventually becoming a successful business man/scientists.

so finding out a most people on the surface spend a good 15-20 years, or longer(or shorter because reasons), in school, and they basically have to make a decision on what they want to more or less do forever, with minimal changes. is like, a mind fuck.

In Slugterra your more or less free to be whatever you want, so long as you got the skills to back it up. And even then, you can do multiple things at once, you aren't limited in what you can do.

And this isn't covering the education system as a whole, having to go into dept to get higher education or the tests, and other things you gotta put up with to get a fancy peace of paper that say's you can do a thing.

And I say that as a college graduate!

but yes, the Gang, + the hc Gang are mind boggled as to the Surface's education system. For a 'mythical world' it's way or teaching its next generation is weird compared to the Caverns.

Trixie is intrigued by the there are apparently schools that specialize in the creative arts, but to know that they are so expensive... Same with Kord, Gent, Stocker and Vance about mechanic stuff, though the idea of tech/robotics and auto-shop in High School in an intriguing.

Pronto probably demands to know more about Shakespeare, to bad Lia and Eli got limited knowledge-

Dana, Mario and Junjie think University/College is a scam once Eli explains it. after all experience is the best teacher, with a little guidance.
