Honestly the single most toxic trend in fandom is people treating beige m/m & m/f like the fun junk food, and f/f or anything with Black or Brown characters like it’s the salad that’s boring but it’s better for you I guessssssss. It’s like a hat trick of inert meaningless guilt, equating media consumption/creation to morality/activism, and just being an astonishingly reactionary take.

And it’s not true. I promise it’s not true. If you think about it for a second, you can realize how absurd it is. If you just try writing or reading something out of White Guy Fandom Beacon these blinkers you have saddled yourself with will fall off. You will realize that it is harder NOT to enjoy all the characters that fandom likes to sweep under the rug.

But if you really do not believe me if you really just prefer to wear yourself down burying your head in the sand over and over again, could you at least not act like it’s the cute little chocolate cake of fandom culture. Own being flavorless and boring. Anyway I’m angry now.

You ever just think about random scenarios based off of random headcanons? (ie; extra strength from just straight up being a superhero that happens because of all the workout and not because of the miraculous [though it definitely does help a lot in this scenario])

Like:

Adrien brings his friends to hang out (post Monarch defeat) and they go into the kitchen to get snacks where they see Felix just sitting at a table drinking tea or some British shit with a broken nose

I was actively passing out/falling asleep in class and nearly going to mini-comas (which happened three times at home) and my high school math teacher (who KNEW MY GRANDMA AND USED TO PLAY D&D WITH MY COOL UNCLE) slammed a math textbook down on the table in front of me and I started awake and screamed and everyone else laughed while he asked me if class was too boring. It was, like, fifth time that week it had happened. It had been happening for three weeks total. He did not ask me if anything was wrong. No one helped me.
