i do hope they tell us what happened in canon but for now here's me guessing the ways daisuke and comfrey could have gotten married:

marya marries them on the zephyr ("by the power vested in me as captain, i now pronounce you woman and husband!" since she called them husbands' tales, not wives' tales). daisuke wears a wedding kimono, comfrey wears a white dress and veil, clothes blowing in the wind, and the sky behind them. pretty!

marya marries them in the middle of a fight on the ship à la pirates of the caribbean. they're all yelling across bad guys. comfrey knocks out a guy heading for daisuke right as daisuke headshots some other person sneaking up on comfrey and then they kiss over their downed bodies. romantic!

they elope on an exploration mission and then come back and casually mention they're married now. (how did it go with you guys, pappy? / oh yeah, we knocked out some goons, got married, found the math we needed from those scientists, and then exploded the building because they were doing bad shit. / sorry, what did you say? / we exploded the building? / no, the other thing! / ...we killed some goons? / i thought you said you knocked them out??? no, wait!)

bellenuit elopement wedding. what happens in bellenuit, stays in bellenuit! 🤫✨️

grandpa gotch throws them a gigantic wedding. it's the biggest to-do in all of gath, former wanted outlaw daisuke bucklesby and genius engineer professor comfrey macleod, not just a rumour anymore but officially married! daisuke and comfrey escape halfway through it to have fun on the zephyr instead.

small wedding at the pilby farm. :) everyone they love is there bc it's pre group breakup, and they all have fun! she doesn't remember 'cuz she was so young, but olethra was the one that threw flowers down the aisle. (maxwell was already at boarding school.) it's one of the last times hutch ever sees his mom. :(
