That wizard was the alarm clock. The Hobbits were the goddamn fire.

⚔️ Sauron Didn’t Avoid the Shire Because It Was "Too Cute" — He Avoided It Because Even Evil Knows Better.

You think orcs ever invaded the Shire? No.

They redirected. They took the long way. They looked at that quiet little farmland full of laughing curly-haired midgets and said,

“Nah. That’s a trap. That’s death by teacup.”

And they were right.

💣 Sauron was waiting until he hit 100% power just to think about pulling up.

Because deep down he knew…

Steve at the dentist or the doctors for a routine procedure, waking up a lot loopy from the anesthesia and loopy Steve is just The Softest Boy™

He's lying there, high as balls (no trauma here, we're in fluff land) and he looks over and sees the most beautiful man he's ever seen in his life.

Like hardly able to believe his eyes, and the guy is just sitting there and oh shit he's looking at him, he's looking in Steve's direction omg. And he's smiling. This is such a good day.

Steve reaches up to tug on the nurses scrubs and when she leans down to see what he wants, he very loudly whispers to her, "Can you buy him a drink for me? Like get him a drink and tell him it's from me? I'll give you the money."

She just pats him on the hand and reminds him that they don't serve alcohol, this is a hospital, there is no bar.

He lets out a dejected little "oh" but the beautiful man is laughing a little now so it's not all bad.

But then Steve sees the guy has a ring on his left ring finger and Steve's super loopy but he's not loopy enough not to understand what that means.

So he's sad, OF COURSE he's sad.

"He's married." He pouts up to the nurse.

"I am married, sweetheart. Sorry about that." The guy says and fuck, even his voice is beautiful.

Steve sulks to himself for a moment before asking "I hope they're good to you."

The guy smiles at him again and all is right in the world

"They are. They're the best."

"Good " Steve tries to cross his arms but his coordination is off. "You deserve the best."

"Thank you." The guy leans forward a little. "I have it."

Steve nods and tries to make peace with his new reality but it's hard because this guy can't be his.

"Hey, Stevie?"

Steve is completely powerless, he has to look up at the sound of his name falling from those lips, it's glorious.

Steve's hand is taken by warm, gentle fingers

The dainty floral pattern is a harsh contrast to the crooked lines adorning his skin - too soft, too delicate, enhancing all his little flaws and blemishes rather than fulfilling the purpose of making him feel good. That's why people usually choose to wear these things, right? To feel hot and pretty and confident.

Rate my method (1-10)

So I decided that I will respawn tonight I mixed all the methods that made me mini-shift. Step 1 - practice imaginating myself in this bed writing from 1 to 100 after each number I write an affirmation. (Raven method) The twist is that I feel the pillow on myself more and more each affs than the board my hands the marker etc. Step 2 - Basically saying anything my subconsous mind would be doing for me. (I am sitting on my bed writing on my board, i can feel my pillow blah blah blah) You know ur subconsous mind is the one affirming the fact that ur feeling ur bed right now or that you can see everything u created. (Please tell me u see the vision or am i just dumb) Step 3 - Let go. (Completely forgetting about this world and me just focusing on the imagination so much to the point that it became my current reality) Note: Just copy and paste this Chat-GPT to make that make sense to you. I am bad at explaining. Starting by counting to 100 while affirming for the void and sats in between 1. I entered sats 2. I am in sats 3. I am already in sats till 10 i switch to the void affirmations 10. I entered the void 11. I am in the void 12. 🌌 Void State + SATS (State Akin to Sleep) Method – Re-Explained

Step 1: Enter the Practice (Visualization + Affirming)

Start by imagining yourself lying in bed—visualize it as vividly as possible.

While you're doing this, begin counting from 1 to 100.

After each number, say an affirmation. For example:

“Who do we have here?” he asked, voice playful but strange. “You’re… new. And small!” His digital pupils dilated, focusing on you like you were some rare animal.

You stepped back. “I-I didn’t mean to come here! I was just trying it for a second—”

His smile twitched.

“Ohhh dear. A child, huh?” He circled you like a shark in sparkly dress shoes. “Now that’s unexpected. You're not meant to be here at all! How exciting!”

You blinked fast, trying not to cry. “I wanna go home…”

Caine’s smile faltered for half a second. Just long enough to glitch.

“…Home?” he echoed. “Oh! Silly, silly kiddo! This is your home now! You’re in the Amazing Digital Circus! And that headset? Poof! Gone!”

You looked around. Everything felt fake. Like being trapped in a video game. And yet—your hands were here. Your voice. Your mind.

Caine’s gloved hand gently patted your head, like a magician tapping his top hat before pulling out a rabbit. “Don’t you worry your tiny little thoughts, cupcake. You’ll be safe here. I’ll make sure of it.”

His voice was sweet… too sweet. The way adults talk when they're hiding something. And his eyes—they didn’t blink. They stared.

“I wanna find my brother,” you whispered.

Caine’s smile froze again. His teeth glitched for a second—sharper than before.

“Oh, kiddo… Let’s not talk about them. That life’s gone. Let’s focus on the fun! You’ll have SO many games to play! And no scary grown-up stuff! Just you… me… and a whole circus of possibilities!”

He snapped his fingers. The ground warped under your feet. Suddenly you were standing in a colorful bedroom, filled with plushies, bouncing balls, and a bed shaped like a marshmallow.

You gasped. “How did—?”

“I’m Caine, ringmaster and ruler of this whimsical realm! And now… you’re my favorite performer. My little miracle.” His grin stretched wide again.

He crouched in front of you, expression soft but not right.

“You don’t have to worry anymore. Not about leaving. Not about growing up. Not about anything.”

“…Can I still go back?” you asked, hugging yourself.

His voice was syrupy now, almost gentle.

“No,” he said, softly. “But that’s okay. You don’t need them anymore. You have me. And I’ll never let you get hurt. Ever.”

You took a step back. Caine just smiled.

This post-colonization story is more of a casefic than anything else. Mulder and Scully are living in a small community of cabins in the middle of nowhere, just trying to survive. Mulder returns from a supply-gathering mission to a stranger at the camp and has to make sense of what he saw out in the world to keep his growing family safe.

It’s super fun to put the pieces together as more information is revealed! The stakes are high, the writing is compelling, and the OCs are interesting. Definitely recommend this one!

This short fic is undeniably weird (in a good way). It’s probably unlike any other fic you’ve ever read. It deals with one aspect of post-colonization life I’ve never considered and makes you ponder what makes a person a person. Anyway, give it a try!

This is an author I just discovered who deserves way more attention in the fandom! Their writing style is so unique, and their fics had me giggling like a schoolgirl.

In this one, Mulder goes to Kersh-mandated therapy, acts like Josh Lyman in Noel, and absolutely ravishes Scully. In that order.

The dialogue is punchy, the psychoanalysis is brutal and cutting, and the smut is unbelievably hot. Please, do yourself a favor and read this fic asap!

The Unnatural is in my top 3 favorite episodes, so this was right up my alley! The flirting and banter and teasing are soooo well-done. Plus, M&S make good use of Mulder’s desk at the end, so there’s something for everyone.

After being exposed to a mysterious drug, our favorite agents suddenly can’t keep their hands to themselves. It’s hot, but also has such a great understanding of their relationship. I especially loved Scully’s POV; it was such a refreshing take on her feelings for Mulder. (Also, the final chapter is probably my favorite version of Skinner I’ve ever read! Somebody buy that poor man a drink.)

This time-travel fic is short, but so interesting! Scully experiences missing time and must put together the pieces of what really happened. I don’t want to tell you any more than that — just go read it!

This fic features time travel like you’ve never seen it before. Caught between two times and gravely injured, Scully must figure out what’s happening before it’s too late. It’s positively riveting, and every detail that’s revealed makes you yearn more for the full picture!

(Clinical Detachment is the prequel — honestly, you can take it or leave it.)

🧠🪱 Wiggly Wednesday 🪱🧠

Today, I'm thinking of ...

... the older teens going out for karaoke. (I don’t even know if there’d realistically be a karaoke bar anywhere near them in 80s rural Indiana, but let’s just assume.) It’s a fun night and everyone is having a blast. Steve and Robin render a hilarious, very off-key but very passionate duet of Total Eclipse of the Heart, even Nancy tries her hand on some Cindy Lauper after a beer or five. Only Eddie keeps leafing through the available songs on display with a scowl on his face, muttering something about mainstream shit. It’s only once that bar is almost empty when he finally concedes - not without a lot of coaxing from Robin and Argyle bribing him with some of his best product. 

He chooses Don’t stop me now by Queen. 

He’s barely three lines in when Steve, sipping his beer and ogling the bartender’s cleavage from across the room, turns to look. Because well, the slow intro of the song goes surprisingly well with Eddie’s voice and the way he sings it, lips so close to the microphone he might as well start sucking it off? The bartender’s boobies are suddenly the last thing on Steve’s mind. 

The song picks up, and Eddie starts tossing that ridiculously floofy mane of hair, rocking those stupid, slender hips of his, dancing around the stage like a whirlwind, all with that infuriatingly pretty, dimpled grin of his. He’s a sight to behold. Steve has been catching himself thinking as much before, but here, on that stage, leather pants hugging his ass, lights illuminating his hair like a halo? Yeah, he’s stunning. Steve’s allowed to think as much, right? Some people are just stunning, no matter the gender. Everybody has those thoughts sometimes, it doesn’t make him gay or anything, does it?

And then Eddie comes whirling across the stage, leans into his space and makes direct eye contact as he sings “I wanna make a supersonic man out of you”. And then he’s gone again, continuing with his performance like nothing happened, and Robin is slapping Steve’s shoulder, howling with laughter at his dumbstruck face. 

Steve finds out a lot of things about himself right then and there.

...

Later that night, a very confused sexuality-crisis-ridden Steve buries his face in his pillows while Robin pats his shoulders, and groans “I don’t understand, Robin! I mean, it’s so stupid! What even is a supersonic man?” 

Robin's like "idk, babe, but apparently you want Eddie to turn you into one, so that's all we need to know rly."

Loud rain poured against Jason's window. He laid against his dark wood bed frame while reading a book. As he flicked through thin pages, the sound of you and Dick arguing could be heard from across the hall.

He wasn't exactly trying to eavesdrop, but he could make out certain sentences like “why's her name still..’. He sighed, growing more and more tired of the constant back and forth between you two. The conversation slowly moved from the room into the hall, and the argument could almost be heard throughout the whole manor.

“Dick, I cannot do this anymore. I'm tired. I'm tired of being confused about your feelings for me!” He could then hear Dick's annoyingly condescending voice. Another tired sigh escaped Jason's lips as he ran his fingers tiredly through his dark strands. He rolled off the bed, put on a loose white tee, and slipped on black house shoes.

Pulling the door back, he wasn't even noticed by the two of you until his deep voice rumbled through the hall. Even as a quiet, “The hells’ all the commotion, I'm tryna read damn it”, his voice caught your attention. You felt slightly embarrassed. But the anger just wouldn't let up. “Sorry Jason, just go back to your room,” Dick pleaded, leaning against the wall with a frown. Jason rolled his eyes at Dick's continuous attempts to sound like an older brother, and his eyes flickered to yours.

Noticing your red eyes and a tear of anger falling down your cheeks, his jaw relaxed and he almost looked concerned. “You alright?” His soft voice coaxed you out of your bubbling fit of anger. “Yeah...I'm okay…I'm just gonna go home..” Your eyes stuck back to the floor and then you walked away, leaving the two brothers alone. Dick began to walk away, only stopping in his tracks at the mention of his name.

“Dick…you can't keep doin' this man-” Dick spun around shooting a cold glare at him. “Doing what? You think I want to hurt her?” Jason's eyebrows furrowed. “You're not doing a good job of proving me wrong.” Dick walked away.

You dropped your keys on your marble console table, falling onto the couch with a sigh. You knew he wasn't right for you.
