Part 1 - Jenova, Minerva, LOVELESS, The Queen and the Gi connection, pt. 1

The most astounding lore connection, however, is found elsewhere, concealed within one of the mini-games. At a certain stage, Queen's Blood becomes a fully fledged side quest, and the now-deceased creator of the game, Lidrehl, contacts Cloud to relay an intriguing story behind it.

(“Once, there lived a queen of peerless beauty and compassion. She loved her people, and in turn, they loved her. But one day, a change came over the queen. In a blink of an eye, her love turned to hate, her compassion to cruelty. Fair and beauteous though she remained, her heart became black as pitch. Conquest was now her cause, her subjects mere fodder to feed her boundless ambition. And so her kingdom grew as her subjects perished. Until, that is, a ray of hope appeared – a sorceress who would be their salvation. The Emerald Witch they called her. And with her arcane powers, she led the people into rebellion, captured the queen, and put her to death. Yet from the tyrant’s body spilled blood as dark as shadow. And from this wicked ichor, the myriad fiends of the world were born. And that... is the story of the Shadowblood Queen. Some call it a parable. A myth. A fairy tale. And I wish it were! But she is as real as you and I! And she is coming. Her resurrection is nigh.”)

“In a blink of an eye, her love turned to hate, her compassion to cruelty. Fair and beauteous though she remained, her heart became black as pitch”—this passage describes the metamorphosis Sephiroth undergoes during Nibelheim flashback to a tee. The language used to depict the queen's transformation - "in a blink of an eye, her love turned to hate, her compassion to cruelty"— parallels Sephiroth's own shift from heroism to villainy. “Conquest was now her cause, her subjects mere fodder to feed her boundless ambition” — anything rings a bell?

“This planet is my birthright! [FFVII Remake & Rebirth]”, “What I want, Cloud, is to sail the darkness of the cosmos with this planet as my vessel, just as my mother did long ago. Then one day we'll find a new planet. And on its soil, we'll create a shining future [FFVII AC]”, “My dominion shall reach into infinity” [FFVII Rb], “I am the chosen one. I have been chosen to be the leader/ruler of this Planet [FFVII OG]”. Birthright, dominion, and leadership are all expressions associated with the concept of a ruler or sovereign, much like a king or queen. Similarly, the excerpt stating "her kingdom grew as her subjects perished" signals a conquest and the losses suffered by the queen's people as a consequence.

Lidrehl's story thus appears to be the first case of Jenova infestation, offering a plausible explanation for the origins of the “female” entity known as Jenova. A female ruler of an unnamed people (possibly the Cetra or the Gi) appears to have had an inexplicable change of heart and embarked on a path of destruction. It is conceivable that this entity, possibly the ruler of the Gi, descended on the planet via a meteor (“subjects perished” = perhaps the Gi old world perished as a result of their queen's conquest? This implication is discussed in pt.1) in order to pursue its “boundless ambitions”. This mirrors the plan Sephiroth outlines to Cloud before their confrontation in Advent Children, emphasizing the parallel between the two narratives. “<...> …to sail the darkness of the cosmos with this planet as my vessel <...> Then one day we'll find a new planet. And on its soil, we'll create a shining future”.

On the other hand, the ruler could be Cetran, and whatever caused her to change bore virus-like nature (think of how AC! Sephiroth released Geostigma, which infected people with Jenova's organics). It's somewhat puzzling that the Temple of Ancients makes no mention of their supposed queen when referring to the malicious “celestial adversary”. Then again, it could be reflected in the account of their “enemy” being a shape-shifter who wore the faces of their deceased to spread discord among people.

In fact, the supposed queen may have been killed by this alien entity and wound up dead (as human Sephiroth was after Nibelheim), but the alien entity was impersonating her (again, much like Jenova at various points takes the form of Sephiroth in OG and Remake). Whatever corrupted the queen came with the meteor (the Gi connection again?). Incidentally, the Northern Crater is sitting on the same continent where the Forgotten Capital is located. If there was an alien virus-like substance there, it could have potentially reached the city — a detail that also resonates with Shiva summon lore, as she allegedly froze the impact region to “staunch” the wound.

“An ice-elemental entity and ruler over the world of ice. It is said that she once saved the planet from certain destruction by staunching a great wound with a glacier.” [Loading screen description of Shiva]

Conversely, the ruler of Cetran people could have taken measures to address the disaster, and got infected or killed on site. 

“Until that is, a ray of hope appeared—a sorceress who would be their salvation. The Emerald Witch, they called her. And with her arcane powers, she led the people into rebellion, captured the queen, and put her to death”. Given that the Cetra are described as being more attuned to magic and the arcane, it is reasonable to assume the Emerald Witch was indeed a Cetra. Furthermore, the term “emerald” directly alludes to the color of Mako and the Lifestream. When Aerith pacifies the Lifestream at the Temple of Ancients, she effectively becomes a Lifestream whisperer, or a sorceress.

Therefore, it is reasonable to assume the powers the Emerald Witch possessed were likely linked to the ability to manipulate Lifestream energy on a grand scale. Not too dissimilar to what Aerith does in the original ending, huh?

“Yet from the tyrant’s body spilled blood as dark as shadow. And from this wicked ichor, the myriad fiends of the world were born”—this is highly reminiscent of the Negative Lifestream from Advent Children or the dark essence Kadaj was using to infuse water at the Forgotten Capital. Or even the Geostigma.

Viewed in a broader context, this suggests the passage is referring to the manner in which Jenova's cells spread to infect individuals and animals, potentially reflecting its virulent nature or hinting at the deliberate experiments conducted by ShinRA.

The Shadowblood Queen card bears striking resemblances to the wall depictions of Jenova in the Temple of the Ancients, including hidden eyes, flowing locks, and a hairstyle reminiscent of a meteor shape. The latter, in turn, oddly echoes Rosa's portrayal in LOVELESS, the headpiece in particular.

Conversely, the Emerald Witch card shows similarities to the Goddess Materia statue (the cowl) in Crisis Core, suggesting a possible association with Minerva. The Cetra connection is further solidified by FFVII Remake's ShinRA HQ VR tour. It highlights the traditional Cetra white robe and a cowl when touching upon the subject of harnessing Lifestream's power [through creation of Materia].

As the Planet's avatar, Minerva is an ideal candidate for being a sorceress capable of manipulating the Lifestream. This implies that Minerva may have once been a mortal Cetra, the Emerald Witch. Furthermore, the flower-garland garment on the Emerald Witch card shares surprising similarities to the one Aerith wore while performing her song in the LOVELESS play.

Interestingly, the flowers depicted on the card are of the yellow variety, which provides a nod to the flowers associated with Aerith throughout the franchise. This might hint at Omni!Aerith's new role and mission, drawing a direct parallel between the Emerald Witch card and Aerith's mission.

There's another dead giveaway that connects the Shadowblood Queen and Jenova. As Lidrehl wraps up his story, we are given a glimpse of a robed figure putting their arms threateningly over him. There's no mistake here, as the robe sleeves bear the telltale tears and tatters of “failed clones”. To highlight this, the figure vanishes with distinctive purple/magenta effects similar to those of Jenovaroth and Jenova. 

What's more, when relaying the account of Shadowblood Queen, Lidrehl uses a very specific language, used only by Aerith to describe Jenova in the first part of the Remake.

Lidrehl: “That foul thing is the source of this nightmare <...>” Aerith: [before Jenova Dreamweaver battle] “The source. Of everything.”

Lidrehl’s final words are full of grim promise. 

(“Some call it a parable. A myth. A fairy tale. And I wish it were! But she is as real as you and I! And she is coming. Her resurrection is nigh”.)

Her resurrection. Not Sephiroth's. It is Jenova who will come back.

This detail lends more weight to Sephiroth's cryptic speech about his “fragmented mother” in the Temple of Ancients.

(“My fragmented mother, these errant worlds… All shall be one again.”)

From a broader perspective, the purpose of the Reunion remains the same: to bring Jenova's cell bearers together, but this time the meeting will span across timelines to make the “fragmented mother” whole again [as extensively discussed here], thus fulfilling Lidrehl's prophetic statement of Shadowblood's Queen resurrection looming. Additionally, Sephiroth's message about creating infinity/eternity to rule all the creation forever aligns with Jenova's boundless ambition for conquest, as described by Lidrehl: "Conquest was now her cause, her subjects mere fodder to feed her boundless ambition." In fact, the godhood aspiration that Sephiroth exhibits in the original game can be seen as a reflection of Jenova's/Shadowblood's own limitless ruling ambition.

(“It shall encompass worlds unbound by fate and histories unwritten. <...> My dominion shall reach into infinity”)

In essence, the Queen's Blood game retells an ancient myth about Jenova's origins and supposedly the Cetran victory over it. Lidrehl's story also seems to reveal the original identity of Minerva, suggesting that the Emerald Witch's true identity and arcane knowledge could hold a key to defeating Jenova. Whatever the case may be, Lidrehl was unquestionably killed for this knowledge, as evidenced by the threatening presence which appeared by the end of his speech, and generally we can surmise as much from the card game quest. Based on the earlier discussion, it seems that the LOVELESS play is another aspect, a precursor, or perhaps a (human?) perspective of the same story. Although some details may have been altered or mixed up over time, the similarities remain. As such, Rosa's character prototype may have once been the Queen who became corrupted. Similarly, the character Aerith portrays during her vocal performance might have been inspired by the Emerald Witch, who I believe was the mortal form of Minerva.

Lidrehl's story also seems to point in the direction of Jenova's resurrection, with Jenova being an active, sentient and autonomous agent that has a history of mindjacking other living beings. The account of a fair and kind Queen suddenly and inexplicably becoming corrupted serves as a deliberate parallel and a precursor to Sephiroth's case of a renowned hero drastically turning wicked and cruel. FFVII Rebirth's version of Nibelheim flashback further corroborates this idea, from strongly emphasizing Jenova-esque glitches Sephiroth experiences to outright superimposing Jenova's face over his, thus conveying a sense of possession.

If Jenova was indeed once a Cetran ruler, or more accurately, if it once actually infested a Cetran body like a virus and NOT shapeshifted into one, then this brings a layer of paradoxical irony to ShinRA's early findings. They were not wrong to classify the being as an Ancient. This would also lend more weight to Jenovaroth's ability to bend and control the Whispers, as he would have some of the Ancients' blood in him, much like Omni!Aerith supposedly does with White Whispers. The “choking” and “corroding” of the Lifestream to overpower and command it does evoke the Cetran characteristic relationship with the Planet, albeit twisted in nature.

This also raises intriguing questions about Sephiroth's biological makeup and may offer a clue to defeating Jenovaroth. If the Jenova substance was foreign to the Cetra's ruler own organism, then it is equally foreign to Sephiroth. If the being we know as Jenova is merely an infected Cetra, then Sephiroth was implanted with Cetran cells harboring something else. Therefore, to eradicate the Jenovaroth threat permanently, the party may need to devise a method not only to defeat Jenovaroth in battle, but to “cleanse” the infection, thereby severing the symbiotic/parasitic grip Jenova has on living organisms. This approach echoes how Aerith purged the Geostigma infection in Advent Children.

kicks off my shoes homedawg i have a prompt for you. 45 from the list you rb-ed. the children yearn for rexsoka whump please i am on my hands and knees begging. people don't write whump for them enough WHICH IS IRONIC ☝️when you think about it

Ask and you shall receive!!! (AU Rebellion Era stuff?? Also deciding that Ahsoka has done cursory research on force healing somehow; that’s not important. Also, ambiguous abdominal stab wound)

It was going well. It really was. The mission was successful, they were on their way back.

And then of course they had to -just had to!- run into trouble. Not just the blasting kind. No. The stabbing kind.

And of course Rex had to go and get himself stabbed.

Ahsoka made short work of the attackers. But that didn’t solve the issue of Rex bleeding out.

Ahsoka dropped her lightsabers to the ground and fell to her knees at Rex’s side.

“Kriffing hells,” Ahsoka whispered, her hands shaking as she assessed the wound.

“Hey, cyar’ika,” Rex whispered back, placing a hand to her check. “I’ll be okay; get out the med supplies we have. It’ll be fine.”

“I don’t think we have enough to deal with this,” Ahsoka responded, her voice shaking.

Rex grimaced. “I’ve been through worse.”

“Now is not the time for that!” Ahsoka said sharply, pulling out med supplies, despite her previous statement. She searched through the supplies, heart racing and breathing heavy. She doubted a couple of bacta patches would pull through on this.

“What is I just use the force?” she asked suddenly turning back to face Rex.

Rex’s eyes went wide. “That healing stuff that you’ve been researching? Ahsoka, I don’t know…you’ve never actually done it. I don’t want you hurting yourself…”

“Hurting myself?” Ahsoka exclaimed. “You’re hurt! Let me try! Please just let me heal it! You’re worth the risk!” Ahsoka felt the tears on her cheeks; but as quickly as they fell, there was Rex’s thumb brushing them away.

“I’ll be okay, Ahsoka,” Rex said quietly.

Ahsoka shook her head. “No…please, let me do this. Let me try! Do you trust me?”

Rex took a deep breath, wincing as he did so. “Of course I do. I always do.”

“Then let me try.” Her voice still shook, but the insistence was still there.

Rex sighed. “Okay.”

Ahsoka nodded then took a deep breath. Closing her eyes and resting her hands just over the wound, she concentrated on the force energy. Rex’s signature, pulsing heavily. Her own trying to calm the almost frantic nature of his.

His signature calmed down and pulsed more steadily for a moment. Then there was a surge of surprise -not concern, but surprise!

Ahsoka desperately wanted to open her eyes, but kept them closed, focusing solely on the energy and the wound. In her mind’s eye she could picture it, feel it knitting itself together again.

It was working!

She furrowed her brow and channeled her energy towards it.

Slowly, but surely, the blood flow stopped and the wound shut.

Ahsoka opened her eyes, looked at the wound then at Rex.

His eyes were wide, staring down at where the wound had been.

“How do you feel?” Ahsoka asked hesitantly.

Rex blinked a few times and nodded. “Uh, fine…you?” He finally looked up meeting her gaze.

Relief swept over her at seeing the life in his brown eyes. Not that the life has left them, but what if-

Ahsoka threw her arms around his neck. “I’m just glad you’re okay now,” she said, sniffing as more tears threatened to spill.

Rex placed his hands on her back, returning the embrace. “Thanks to you, cyar’ika.” He pulled away and pressed their foreheads together. “You never cease to amaze me.”

Ahsoka laughed a little and sniffed. “Thanks. Just please don’t get stabbed again.”

“Not in the plans.” He pulled one of her hands up to his lips and pressed a kiss to it.

“Good,” Ahsoka whispered, squeezing his hand. “Now we should get back to the ship and get you cleaned up.”

“Both of us cleaned up,” Rex offered, pulling away.

“Yeah,” Ahsoka smiled weakly. She stood up and helped Rex to his feet. “You good?”

“Feels just fine,” Rex said looking down at the spot, probing it a bit. “Amazing!”

“That’s good!” Ahsoka responded, squeezing his hand again. “Now let’s go.”

as one of the hosts for the year-end awards event, you are currently residing backstage in a location grander than any you have ever seen. and though the outfit assigned to you looks absolutely pristine, it does little in actually giving you comfort to last the entire night. 

in your hands are cue cards you’ve been practicing nonstop for the past few days, now feeling anxious as the time ticks closer to the actual event. this was a ceremony broadcasted nation-wide and you didn’t wish to be deadweight your co-host needed to pick up.

“y/n, you ready?” a voice abruptly brings you out of your thoughts, turning towards its direction to find mark calmly approaching you. he was your chosen co-host for the event with a few years more experience than you. this gave you all the more reason to hate the idea of messing up and becoming a fool in front of someone like him. “hey… are you good?”

“hm? yeah, i’m fine. just a little nervous, but i won’t let you down!” your determination is oddly enough endearing to him, a lopsided smile now grazing his lips. 

“i know you wont, y/n.” he answers back with a soft chuckle, the sound of it easing the tensions within you. “come on now, you were chosen as a host for a reason.” he adds, nudging your shoulder lightly.

“thank you for the flattery, but if i may ask, how do you look so relaxed all the time? i wish i were like you.” you admit with a sheepish expression, and he looks at you a little dumbfounded. 

“me?” he points at himself almost animatedly, eyes widening. “oh dude, if you knew what’s going on inside my head right now- i think you’d say otherwise.”

he puts it lightheartedly, but deep down, you understand he’s rather in the same predicament as you, trying to find a form of relief from the panic before the event actually began. and for some reason, that revelation calmed you down more than anything has — you weren’t alone in this. he’s your co-host after all.

“then that makes both of us.” you state with the hopes of providing him that same comfort, and he seems to acknowledge the meaning behind your words. “it does.”

“you know,” he starts, “i’ve heard that thinking about someone you like really helps the stage fright. i used to only think of my parents before going up on stage, but maybe i’ll change it up today and think of someone else.” 

you feel a prickle of heat up your cheeks, thoughts in your head running the idea that he could be talking about you, but your logical self told you that could only be utter nonsense. 

“you’ll change it up today…?” you repeat slowly, wanting clarification on his words. “does that mindset really work?”

“it does if you believe in it enough? does that sound silly?” he cranes his head a little to the side, shyly rubbing his nape.

you immediately shut down his worries, shaking your head. “not at all! i’ll try it if you say it works. i just don’t know if i have anyone in mind yet.” with that answer, he beams again, opening his mouth to reply but one of the staff members manages to speak before he gets to utter a single word.

“y/n, mark, it’s time to head up. please make sure you bring your cue cards.” they instruct, now waiting on you both to lead you up the stage.

“oh- well then, shall we?” he politely offers his arm out for you to hold, one you take graciously.

“we shall.” you answer with a grin, knowing you’d take mark’s advice to think of a person you like as a way to calm your nerves, and that person might just be him.

Did trauma make Bumblebee secretive in Robots In Disguise?

Okay, do you guys remember that one observation I made back in June of the RB episode Uninvited Guest? Where apparently Bumblebee and Blades haven't seen each other in 3 years, they didn't even do face time messaging despite having access to the same technology, and I've pointed out that maybe trauma made Bumbles extremely secretive, which honestly makes a little too much sense. I've been wanting to do an analysis like this for a while so here we go:

Okay, to start things off, Bumblebee just might be the most traumatized character in the entire Aligned Continuity.

Fought in war at a young age, had his voicebox destroyed, got beaten up badly by Overload, lost a friend (Cliffjumper), got the same mech who destroyed his voicebox stuck in his head who possessed him, nearly lost his human friend, the vital organ that allowed him to transform got harvested out of him, nearly lost his human friend AGAIN, temporarily bit the dust by Megatron, lost his father figure, still dealt with Optimus' passing for three years, and he was put through hell by a power-hungry wolfocon. Yeah, this man has been put through the wringer (And I'm so sorry Bee but you might be traumatized more in my fanfiction) and look, while it is just probably a writing flaw or they couldn't afford the voiceactor for any returning Prime character, Bumblebee didn't call any of Team Prime members for help at all.

Like why? Bee these are your friends and allies, how come no contacting? Remember Ratchet came across the Bee Team and Prime on his own, and then later on Bulkhead was called by Optimus to Earth. None of that was by Bee's doing. Speaking of Prime characters that brings us to the Jasper trio.

I know a lot of people were disappointed with the fact that the kids didn't make an appearance in RID2015 or that Bumblebee didn't go see them (And I shall respect your opinion on that) and while the other possibility of why Bee didn't contact the kids was because he wanted them to have normalcy in life and not get caught up or almost killed in Cybertronian nonsense again. Bumblebee having trauma-induced secretiveness is also another possible reason that's on the table, like I said before he still didn't contact his Cybertronian friends while back on Earth. He didn't contact anybody... But lastly that brings us over to Blades.

Okay honestly, there's something screwy here. The Rescue Bots have ties with Optimus, they HAD to have been informed about his passing by his comrades, but in the aforementioned episode, Blades and the others just found out that Bumblebee is now talking and has his own team, and as we all know in the Season 4 of RB that's when the AC's 3 year timeskip began. And I know the Rescue Bots were still deployed on Earth but Bee and Blades had access to the same technology at the time, how come Bee never paid Blades a video call visit for 3 years? While it could just be another inconsistency of the Aligned Continuity, this still happened with these two not talking to each other for 3 years until the events of Robots In Disguise and the episode.

So

My sona has changed a lot

From going from a human to a white blob that can shapeshift/ color shift, having one Sona to turning into two of them, and from not having any significance to having the most in my life.

But I know (none) most of y'all are wondering, what inspired me to make this drastic change?

Well the answer is actually related to Sona lore believe it or not but to give you all the non lore version of this explanation I decided to change my sona probably because of @hyperbaguette

He inspired me to challenge my sona, to be the direct representation I wanted instead of looking like a Ranboo ripoff and so I did it until I eventually landed on something I liked which was Atty! And then Sona lore was soon later created so I made Rat!

I wanted to make a character that seemed silly, charming, and memorable! And then when I saw y'all making art of my sona in her different outfits and different hairstyles it made me feel overwhelmed but in a good way tho!

I'll probably never stop making new hairstyles or outfits for Atty though, I love the fun of experimenting with my sona but I want to thank all of you for the love that you've given her for the past year!

Okay well now that the boring tangent is over, I have something else for y'all 👀

Rat: "..."

Atty: "Are we...even in contact with them?"

Rat: "O-of course we are! But...I don't know...maybe they wouldn't want to see us now that we're like...this."

Atty: "Right..."

1. Rat: "Oh don't even get me started on that old drunk, in my opinion he's still a massive prick, depressing past or not."

Atty: "But he helped us...I don't think he's that bad of a guy you're making him out to be..."

Rat: "Even so, doesn't excuse the fact that he's like this."

Atty: *sighs* "You're too critical of people..."

Rat: "Thank you, it's one of my many charms."

(Right now, we're focusing on the lore of Atty and Rat but Sona lore chapter 1 does give us a huge look into K.C's and Bee's past!)

2. Atty: "I'm at the height of 4'11, making me the smallest member here but I kinda like being short...makes getting dominated soooooo much easier"

Rat: "Atty, stfu..."

3. Rat: "Atty, instantly, no question about it and she would fit right in too."

2. Rat: "Yes, I can talk, I just don't have a mouth because of a malfunction when it came to the whole separating process at the hospital as for Atty..."

Rat: "...she's alright..."

Atty: "AWWWW AM I?"

Rat: "NEXT QUESTION!"

3. Atty: "A little fun fact for you! RB's and LB's bleed when experiencing trauma or overwhelming emotions! LB's tend to bleed less then the RB's and we all usually bleed through our nose...except for Bee...he sometimes coughs up blood and it was really scary the first time I saw it..."

Atty: "Actually now that I think about it...that fact wasn't fun at all...."

Atty: "Our designs are kinda bland but once I learned that we can shape shift and color shift I went wild with the possibilities! I can look however I want too and no one is gonna stop me."

Rat: "Me, I'm going to stop you because OUR DESIGNS ARE LINKED YOU MORON."

Atty: "Eheheheheh..."

(Now for the real answer, most of this question is explained in the beginning but Rat and Atty is mostly inspired off of me and the outfits I would wear (or would like to) of course Sona lore is a different story because while some of it is fictional, I made sure to include aspects of my own life in it such as the hospital for example or even K.C)

funnily enough i taught a friend the beginnings of how to swim two days ago!! and i've taught little kids how to swim too. so like. in theory. i can reach through the screen and put a life jacket on you and some goggles and teach you how to swim in a calm little river spot lol. floating in the water really does have a charm to it! being a surface starfish is quite fun :>
