Electing a person who openly and willingly lied about the election results, then incited a rebellion against the democratic process of certification….. Not patriotic.

Supporting a president who pardoned the very people who engaged in insurrection, even the violent cop beaters..:.. Not patriotic.

Supporting the brazen acts of financial corruption through the executive branch, whether through crypto, through “gifts” of private jets, through dismantling agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), who’s only objective was to protect American consumers, by selling access to the presidency, or through making deals for real estate projects as president….. Not patriotic.

Supporting clear 1st amendment infringement (not just getting your false post taken down from social media) like telling universities what they can teach under the guise of antisemitism ordered by the most antisemitic and racism administration in generations, like suing news outlets, like putting the “ten commandments” in public schools, like instituting Christian public schools, or like how with unbelievable gaslighting and hypocrisy claiming that NBC, CBS, ABC, are political operatives while aligning with Fox News and saying NOTHING about them…. Not patriotic.

By selling your country out in some immature “own the libs” mentality, then acting like nothing is wrong as our republic crumbles beneath us…. Not patriotic.

There’s a huge difference between patriotic and nationalistic. There’s a huge difference between loyalty and allegiance. There’s a huge difference between the truth and a lie. There’s a huge difference between maga and true Americans.

Real Americans stand for, and with the Constitution.

1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh

There might be more that happened after Alecto also woke up that we just haven't seen yet, but as far as we know she's just now finding out about it or hasn't quite yet. But I just noticed—

Gideon has Wake's jaw (among other features) and John's eyes (I assume shape too) and brows. Harrow subconsciously fucking clocked the resemblance. (Edit to clarify: Like, she saw Wake's face, and by then she'd remembered Gideon, but subconsciously clocked "this is almost Gideon's face, this part is spot on, but these parts are Wrong." But given one of the AUs...)

Anatomist Mercymorn, who knows the human body beyond mortal comprehension and who has been close to John for 10,000 years, who had actively worried the new Ninth baby might have been John's kid, saw a young woman she knew to be the Ninth's cavalier who looked strikingly like Wake and suspiciously wasn't decomposing, and still didn't recognize John's features or think to check her eye color. She was so absolutely convinced Blood of Eden must just be incompetent and wrong that she barely looked.

Yet Harrowhark, who had specifically forced herself to forget Gideon existed, still recognized enough that when she started to remember her brain supplied the Divine Highness suitor AU. Truly one of the most down bad characters of all fucking time.

That you have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was in the middle of water and you have said, "That makes sense."

That you have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, "falling in love" with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, "That's statesmanship!"

That Trump separated children from their families and put them in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids, has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas - he explains that they’re just “animals” - and you say, “Well, OK then.”

That you have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise.

What you don't get, Trump supporters, is that our succumbing to frustration and shaking our heads, thinking of you as stupid, may very well be wrong and unhelpful, but it's also...hear me...charitable.

Because if you're NOT stupid, we must turn to other explanations, and most of them are less flattering.
