Honestly MAJOR missed opportunity for Karlach to have some kind of permanent 'buff' that deals minor fire damage to anyone who touches her in melee. Like obviously it'd be strong for fighting beasts, because every time they hit her with claws/fangs they take damage, but just from a STORY-TELLING ASPECT?

How heartbreaking would it be when you're trying to cast Cure Wounds on her? In order to heal her, you have to hurt yourself and she KNOWS IT. You go to cast Longstrider on the party and you hesitate as you reach Karlach. Yeah, it's only a few points of damage, it's not that big a deal, but does she REALLY need it? Is it worth it?

You linger, hesitate. You realize you don't want to touch her. You realize that's what EVERYONE thinks when they see her. You realize she KNOWS You're hesitating, staring at her sheepishly as you try to think of whether or not it's worth the pain just to help her.

You learn to support her from a distance. Healing Word. It's not as effective, but you don't need to get hurt for her sake. And so she learns to get used to receiving help from a distance. Just words of encouragement. It's all anyone wants to give her. Maybe it's all she'll ever get.

Aid? Bardic Inspiration? You don't need to touch her to give it to her. You can keep her at a distance and not get burned. And you're still helping her.

It's just... cold.

Problematic for a jason todd stan to say i know, but I think its kinda crazy when people demonize bruce for... believing in rehabilitation...

#he does at times go about implementing it badly but in concept i agree with him #batman #batman comics #bruce wayne #jason todd #i guess i mention him technically #oh i also agree with bruce that if HE made the exception abd killed the joker hed start making the “exception” for a lot more #like bruce wouldnt then be able to justify not killing otherpeople #also for what its worth he very much did try to kill the joker #like yes he didnt succeed but he very much tried after he killed jason #or like yeah some of the examples people mention of him going out of his way to save the joker are fucking crazy #like reviving him after that one time dick killed him like yeah thats taking it far #i havent read the comic thats in so i dont know the full context correct me if im wrong #but i always kinda assumed bruce did that more so to take the guilt of killing someone off dick again tho idk if the context is different #i dunno i feel like i just personally like the no kill rule for bruce #i think it really shows how much he wants to help people #i think its sweet that he never gives up on people #yeah the way he tries to enforce it is crazy at times but hot take i think cops killing people w/o trial is bad actually #sorry i just have a lot of feelings about the bruce wayne that exists in my head

The rest were just the emojis I use the most turned into scugs lol #You get to decide which was which lmfaoooo #Also here's some lore: a while back I made 'hunterwheeze'#and the bit was everyone liked it so much they wanted it in the server #So I said bet and threw a bunch of emotes to the staff to hear their thoughts #And way more than I thought got added!#Except for hunterwheeze 🤣🤣🤣#Instead they chose a super edited screenshot of some animation frame I made a few months ago I added last minute for giggles #Which I was DELIGHTED by. It's perfect #Also the only instance of the emote since it's technically not on this blog 😉 not transparent anyway #Oh and here's my favorite 'wild' emotes I've found:#1) that person that dmed me to reveal there was an animated emote for every variation of rivulets face I made that one time #(I was not allowed to join the server)#2) discovering an emote has been in use for months in a server swathed in drama and in the throes of being orchestized from the community #3) that one nightcat-saint emote appearing on a random server announcement (it's so niche I was astounded anyone used it lmfao)#Most sightings are totally benign but these were just hilarious
