conceptually i enjoy the idea of never having periods ever again but also if my period is even 4 days later than it was last month i immediately start panicking but stress can also delay or fully stop your period which makes me freak out for freaking out and im like fuuuuckk im gonna be the first person ever to get pregnant without having sex except for mary from the bible. and then i look it up and actually it is possible to get pregnant without having sex and also its possible to be pregnant and not know until youre literally in labor so basically having a period is the only way for me to know verifiably if im not pregnant but i also have to be chill about it and not freak out but also i hate having periods and theyre basically the only thing that makes me dysphoric on a regular basis so basically the only way for me to know peace is if i get rid of my ovaries which isnt going to happen for at least 10 years at the current rate im going in the medical system. yay!

Due to sheer accident and poor planning I GUESSSSS this first drawing ONLY now doubles as a Father’s Day post for this year, but it also literally matches my immediate previous post so, jazz hands I’ll take this! Babybel ….and babyTy, in “I made these ☺️” The Drawing

with their DAD(one of whom at least)😋 hiiiii Epi hi!!!! Welcome back to the daemon zone!!! Epi’s daemon design here is not new at all, just kinda refreshed by me to match my current drawing abilities 😭 EPI THEMED BLURB UNDER THE CUT (info tumblr crew all knows but just in caseeee)

• heeee is the primo example daemon of the Elysium’verse long before Tory transformed.  Epi’s Daemon Form IS his “true” form, he was born the shape of a yowling little creature and it was only through careful contortionist shapeshifting over many years of adolescence that he grew up to customize the way he now appears usually. 

• It is an active, conscious effort on his part to not revert back to the daemonic creature shape he defaults to, (which has always been a subject of self consciousness for him; though most people would NEVER know this, as Epi’s usually so charming and effortlessly unsettling☺️) ohhhhhh you guys should know I love him Soooooo much,, Epi also of course belongs to the hiatus’d @fenixethekid !!

• …his husband Eury is also the primo monsterfucker example of Elysium too💖They’d been married for two thousand years BEFORE Maci and Tory ever entered their lives. Fun fact! Epi drinks blood and ichor, including, regularly, from his husband! He is highly venomous and his venom puts people to sleep! ….not Eury, who’s been bitten lovingly so many times by Epi that he is FULLY IMMUNE TO IT (and WILL go into withdrawal if Epi were to ever stop aahhhHHHH)

• Tory’s daemon form is very catlike and Epi’s is a hodgepodge of all sorts of animals, though he too purrs and kneads. As Epi’s put it, he’s the god of nightmares and people fear all sorts of animal - therefore, he is Every Animal.

• in whatever unspoken daemon-species hierarchy there is or whatever, whatever type of daemon Tory is outranks whatever type of daemon Epi is - after all, Epi (opportunist in the best way) employs himself as Advisor to Tory’s title of Prince - and so Epi’s always instinctively drawn to dote and snuggle Under him.

(maci of course is overjoyed that they’re so constantly spending time licking each other)

And with this, I've reworked Nymrod's backstory!

Nymrod thinks he's a tiefling that was once a half elf, but his story is a little more complicated than that.

Before Nymrod, he was Ardere, the draconic sorcerer. He is a dragon hybrid, the child of a red and silver dragon, with an egg-twin brother named Ishard. He and Ishard took the forms of Half elves while his father presented as a high elf and his mother as a mortal human. They lived far away from other dragons in order to live unbothered, appearing as a rich and noble family of wizards and sorcerers. Ardere's sorcerery was highly unstable and powerful, just like his nature, like two dragons clashing inside of him, unfortunately this lead to an accident that resulted in the death of his twin brother. Not being able to cope with the loss, his personality distorted and took on traits of Ishard, while completely becoming uncomfortable and fearful of his own magic prowess. Taking advantage of his mental state, his parents sealed his awareness of his own nature away in hopes of protecting Ardere from himself.

He lives as a half elf for about 40 years, completely clueless of his losses and takes on the desires of his dead brother to become a fashion designer rather than a powerful sorcerer.  He particularly grew to dislike his innate magic as he had gained the tendency to freeze things when he got nervous. As a result of his unstable powers and clumsiness, no one would take him as an apprentice so he had to teach himself how to sew. Struggling with what to do with his misfortunes, he briefly joined a band of friends on a few adventures. During a tour to Elturel, he got really drunk and passed out.. Only to awaken when Elturel was pulled into avernus. The sudden shift of planes made him subconsciously shapeshift into a Dainty, soft looking Tiefling, unrecognisable to himself and his friends. They swiftly abandoned him in order to flee. Left with little else to hold onto, Nymrod is who he became. Acting docile, foolish and helpless, his appearance and behaviour gave him his name, a combination of ''Nymph'' and ''Nimrod'' Passed around several devils as a pretty pet to look at. Hiding his intelligence and using his charm to remain unharmed. He sold his name ''Ardere'' to a fairy in exchange for a luck blessing, which further distanced his memories off his family and made all those who knew him before forget about him. When Nymrod was about to be sold to one particularly cruel Devil in exchange of dozens of soul coins, Raphael ended up coming to his rescue. The Cambion recognised what Nymrod is even if he doesn't, becoming the only safe space were Nym could form a new identity. Nym is very indifferent about the conflict surrounding Avernus as he had to prioritise his own survival. Due being abandoned by his only friends in his time of need, he stopped caring for those who do not value him. Since then he has gotten used to his body, still feeling somewhat strange about it. His sense of self is greatly warped due everything he has been through.

Just some clarifications just in caseeee- Because I am a nervous wreck.

-When I mention ''personality warping'' I'm more talking in the reigns of how untreated mental health problems sometimes changes someone's entire identity, people's personalities can shift over time, ''warp'' is when he becomes somewhat opposite to how he used to be. He used to be proud, flaunting, and very much in love with his magic, now he is insecure, uncertain about himself and averse to casting magic. He's not entirely stable. -When he takes on traits of his brother, this is a subconscious coping mechanism, feeling the need to keep his brother alive somehow. This doesn't mean he ''splits'' or creates an alter, Nymrod is Ardere, with Nymrod being his mask. He does not have Dissociative Identity Disorder. The amnesia is a result of sealing, cptsd / selling his name to a fairy. He is somewhat aware of his brother's absence but convinced himself there never was a brother by taking on his traits. He does not experience plurality, just dissociation. -When you have friends, or people you love, or heck, even despise, sometimes you unconsciously take on little traits from them. He'd likely take on traits from Raphael as well. -Not thoroughly mentioned or stated, but Nymrod is kind of an alcoholic (Even before he became Nymrod.) As a dragon (even if unaware that he is one) he can hold liquor pretty well so it takes a lot of effort to become drunk or to stay drunk for an extended time, as his blood burns it out pretty fast. -Struggling with your sense of self is a pretty common experience, trying to find your own identity when your brain is messed up is difficult.

OKAY. under a cut because i dont know how specific im gonna be but just in caseeee

SO. First off i went to see this movie after the most wretched nap of all time i felt out of space and time so im gonna say. my mindset impacted things. That being said.

i liked it!! not as much as 2, though, unfortunately. its hard for me to put my finger on what didnt work as well. i think some of the kills were crazy top notch. the couple in the shower was just, i mean. thats crazy. the rats too. the final fight was pretty fucking solid too. but some of it felt a little meh. guns and explosions just arent as fun and make the kills feel a little unearned imo? but when the kills were good they were REALLY fucking good, and disgusting as always. you can say a lot about terrifier but you cant deny that it looks really fucking good. the effects are fantastic

that aside, how did i feel about the plot…im not sure. the lore insists upon itself LMFAO it felt like a lot of teasing and buildup as far as what the deal is with sienna, art, her dad, etc. But it didn’t really pay off or deliver something meaningful and exciting for the movie, and when you dont know if or when another one is coming, thats a little bit of a cardinal sin to me. i dont mind having lore, in fact i actually really liked the teasing of that in the last one! but this one didnt feel as cohesive to me in its balance between hardcore gorehound slasherfest and supernatural saga. again. maybe that has something to do with my mood going in?

i love sienna and lauren as her. she did a great job and shes a fucking force as a scream queen. i also think the actress for gabby was great and so sweet! howard david thornton’s art is always a delight, too. i dont know if i liked the choice of making vicky such a vital part. maybe she’s overstayed her welcome. maybe i just missed the weird little girl. Actually maybe i dont like “art” having dialogue. hmmm. also no way jonathan is really dead, right? that would actually piss me off like how lazy justice for jonathan

anyway i like the gimmick of it being a christmas movie, but what can i say, i missed the halloween grime. it was a lot brighter too, wasnt it? take us back to the city and the grime and the gross! the creepy and the spooky and the octoberism!!

overall i liked it. i wanna rewatch it eventually and see if i can go into it in a less weird mood. not as good as two but worth a watch for the gore alone as usual!

Well. it was not the point of my post but it certainly was In The Same Spirit. only the essence of my post was a million times more spiteful many such cases with me. either way I encourage you to go for it and write and submit something even if you are a thousand percent certain it will get rejected. failing is a part of learning and what is most important about failing is that at least you tried and you put yourself out there. which is a thousand times better than doing nothing. #shoot for the stars and hit the moon and all that.

(Also, just for clarification purposes, the main root of my frustration was not the quality of the pieces per se, but rather the way I felt the magazine was eager to repeat certain imagery/writing styles/allusions over and over, issue after issue, to the point where I could figure out the recipe of what they were looking for pretty easily. And my success in having something so low-effort accepted is proof of that. But it's a beginner-targeting magazine mostly based on insta and tiktok so what can you expect.)

At the end of the day art is about self expression first and foremost and there is nothing wrong with being a beginner or "mediocre" (HINT: we all gotta start from somewhere). I too am re-learning this since I'm picking up drawing after ~10 years of abstaining from it. And having already gone through that process with writing relatively recently does make having faith in myself easier. But I also remember the beginning well and truly sucked an entire ass. I guess all this to say enjoy the ride and stick with it, make sure it comes from a place of joy and love and zeal for expression and not from a performative or self deprecating place. That last bit is vital to staying consistent and not hating yourself in the process okay? Okay.

In any caseeee best of luck with your writing I hope you do get accepted (but it's fine if you don't). And send that haiku this way if you're cool with doing so 🙈

I was walking back to home and there was a car like driving slow and stopping and u know idk.

And like of course my thoughts as walking home during night is to wonder like what if they're looking at me and ate like hmmm where are u going.

Like not in a afraid way or anything and I saw many people walking around so all good.

But then I remembered that when I was like 10 or 10 and there was this one car that just stayed in place for many days I don't exactly remember how long but enough for me to notice oh that's there.

And then I started to be afraid of that car to the death almost whenever I'd go past it, because my brain was telling me that yeah, it's a 100% possible scenario that the weird grown old man u and ur friend had been talking to semi regularly could actually be here and is trying to find out where u live or something just waiting for a tight moment to kidnap me or something 😭😭

and then I realized that yeah. Actually maybe talking to that man also did affect me at least back then.

Like I'd walk a longer route to avoid that car. Would almost like start crying if I walked there and realized it's still there😭

I don't know if that's exactly normal. Obviously it's pretty normal to be wary of things or if something feeling shady or something just in caseeee

so after my 4795438254 year long hibernation i decided to pick spearmaster back up and say WE ARE GONNA BEAT THIS FUCKING CAMPAIGN so last time i blogged abt spearmaster was that i was in sky islands SOOOOO pretty much in that place i died like 47932584739 times from vultures cyan yellow white all of the above lizards centiwings god the centiwings were horrible and dropwigs before finally reaching new shelters oh my lordl

i even got to get some broadcasts which was neat i loveee the iterators os mchuch i loveeee self aware sentient robots

made it to chimney canopy and then got to the wall cant remmeber if i got this broadcast before already but might aswell put it here too

anddd at the tippy top of of the wall i got my pearl back!!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!! this is going!!! to be horrible

this is even worse than rivulets refraction cell delivery what not only is the pearl so small that if you drop it especially off a ledge it is going to be SO HARD TO FIND AGAIN but THE SCAVENGERS. THE SACVANEVERS FBRO THE SCAVENGERES WHILE I WAS CLIMMBING DOWN THE WALL I ACCIEDENTALLY DROPPED THE PEARL AND SOME SCAVENGER STOLE IT AND I HAD TO CHASE IT TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH TO GET IT BACK i didnt kill it but stealing the pearl from its hands brought my scav rep down by a little bit but its fineeeee also since the pearl is so small if you accidentally drop or throw it you have to pay REAL CLOSE ATTENTION OR ELSE YOURE NOT GONNA KNOW THAT YOU LOST THE PEARL UNTIL YOU CHECK YOUR HANDS AND REALIZE THE PEARL IS SEVERAL ROOMS AWAY FROM YOFUEAOIGFURSUGJ i also got the hunter passage at some point so thank goodness i have two more backup fast travels if i cant take this anymor e
