Price would never admit it but he’s genuinely scared of losing you. All his life he’s spent fighting without a real cause and when you came into his life he found a solid reason to stick around. Losing you would send him spiraling

So every injury you get, every cold you endure, he’s glued to your hip, attentive to your every need. especially when you waddle through the door, knee bandaged up with crutches supporting your form.

“What happened?” He says, pale in the face while wrapping a strong arm around your waist.

“Just a small accident, nothing too serious” you say, trying to ignore the throbbing pain as to not worry him any further.

“Nothing serious huh?” He scoffs in response, as helps you sit down on the couch.

“John I really mean it”

“Who patched you up?” He ignores your words, and kneels on the ground to get a better look at the wound.

“Hm? Oh Vincet did”

“Did he use anti septic?” He says calloused thumb carefully brushing over your bandaged knee.

“John it didn’t bleed”

“Doesn’t matter” he grunts out, still carefully gauging your knee “It’s swollen. Did he ice it before he wrapped it up?”

“Yes” you say with a fond smile on your face, eyes rolling slightly at his dramatic behavior.

“Fuck me I knew I should’ve gone with you,”

“Nothing you could’ve done about it” you say with a shrug, fingers fondly carding through his hair.

Price mutters something under his breath, eyes still glued to your injured leg.

“You worry too much you know?”

“How could I not? Didn’t you almost spend 4 days in medevac last week and before that your arm was in a sling and didn’t you and gaz -“

“Okay I get it” you say, swiftly cutting him off in his rant.

“Point is I have plenty reasons to worry kid, “

“Alright you got a point, but really I’m fine,just a small sprain, nothing serious,”

A scoff in response is all you get from him before he’s placing a kiss on your leg “going to give me a head full of grays,”

“Don’t you already have that?” You say playfully but he doesn’t respond. Instead he continues to place kisses on your leg, working his way from the top of your injured knee down to the sole of your foot.

“John” you croak out, feeling blood pool to your lower half.

“Hm?” Is all he says, looking at you with eyes half lidded as he continues to place kisses along your leg.

“Get over here” you croak out, leaning back onto the sofa to make room for the older man.

“But your knee-“

I’m so so so excited for the solar ritual in Palmarosa omgggg ty for writing it!!!

Haha it's been challenging, it's been a long time since I've written like, a fairly graphic rape scene (especially one that does involve blood and injury), and I had this moment of like 'wait I used to do this quite a bit more' and I think it's been years lmao.

It's been a very intimidating part of the fic that I've been frankly low-key terrified of (like, scared of scaring off readers, scared of it not being good to read, scared of folks just not reading the writing on the wall and being like 'wait you're not really going to write what you've been foreshadowing the entire time are you?' etc.)

But I'm nearly there! I don't think every solar ritual will be as lengthy as the first one, and we can probably skip past a few in linear time skips, but the ones that are emotionally significant are all going to be intense I think, especially the first one where Astarion is like 'I literally just signed a contract that allows me to be raped by strangers' and he actually has to like...live that, and it's no longer just a talking point.

hello friends who have had wisdom teeth out im asking for advice bc google is not helping🧍🏻‍♂️🧍🏻‍♂️🧍🏻‍♂️

um so i have no SEEN a blood clot form (it has been 48hrs since surgery) but i got stitches over the area and ive had a friend in oral health say that stitches = no visible blood clot, and a cousij who said she couldnt see blood clots either but she was fine 🧍🏻‍♂️

ik im being paranoid fr and ig its just a matter of waiting to find out if i'll get dry socket (its not like i can force a blood clot to form yknow) but did anyone else not have a visible blood clot and still heal fine?

(theres the potential that its just so far back and i cant ooen my mouth wide enough to see?)

ALSO ALSO like ik soft food diet is okay but like. im so scared that even having soup touch the site and it not being cleaned out properly (seeing as i cant rinse properly or use a syringe to flush the area yet) will lead to complications 🧍🏻‍♂️ im avoiding foods that need chewing obvs but like. pumpkin soup w the fibres (idk like its still textured yknow) in it, or cháo (congee? lugaw????) or even like. oat porridge 🧍🏻‍♂️

like im getting so anxious when eating ANYTJING (literally sipping broth/nước lèo made me so stressed i almost cried) but ik i need to eat more and the pumpkin soup thing is the nest i can do but yeah it still makes me so anxious

(for context; i only had one tooth out 🧍🏻‍♂️ i know im definitely being super paranoid.)

when i was younger i did have much more complicated dental surgery (went under gen. anaesth.) and i mean i survived that without dry socket or anything, and whatever diet i was on then got me through (ngl i tjink i had like chocolate milk for a week straight, maybe sustagen/ensure as well?) but for some reason my anxiety now is WAYYYY worse 🫠🫠

decided to make a big involved meal tonight since my parents are out of town and I did a bit of prep before I went out around 5:30 to meet with a new doggie client, and I thought I'd have a good amount of time to take some edibles and finish cooking and probably be nicely stoned by the time the food was ready. turns out the new client's mom (human) is one of those people who will go on and on for ages about their dog's background and temperament and favorite toys and never mention like...what time I'm supposed to get there and what the dog eats for breakfast etc etc so the meeting ended up taking about an hour and a half and by the time I got home I was so hungry the edibles hit practically immediately and that in combination with the hunger had me on the verge of passing out while cooking which also took like an hour and a half.

NOT TO MENTION right when I was putting the casserole in the oven another client called to go over some walks for this weekend and she's one of the most disorganized people on earth so that took like half an hour and I was high and hungry as hell having to help her figure out all kinds of logistics shit (at 8:30pm on a tuesday, because apparently the weekend plans couldn't wait until wednesday) ANYWAY bonkers exhausting day fr fr
