HIIIIII!!!!! 34. which film is the most visually beautiful?

OOOHHH. first movie to come to mind was The Fall 2006. the COSTUMES!!! the BRIGHT DEEP RED...the locations they shot in...i don't know if i believe in a most "visually beautiful" movie bc i feel like the beauty in context of a film is part and parcel to how it serves the film and so many do it in so many different ways—and the aesthetics of The Fall are not normally what i lean towards—but its Such a visually striking movie. can close my eyes and still see it. that definitely counts for something!!

40. a film you think everyone should see at least once genuinely The Birdcage 1996. i am compelled to show this to everyone who has not seen it by a power outside of my control. it's so wildly entertaining. it's so good.

41. name three movies you consider “classics” to me a classic is a movie that has been seen often and has some history to it—older, and with some prestige. people think highly of it. taking this question as a Personal Classics: 1) It's a Wonderful Life (1946) every year in my house there's a power struggle between my father and mother, my father who thinks this is the best movie of all time, and my mother who can't stand it. I have seen this movie over 7 times, but I have never fully made it through the film in one sitting, only in segments disrupted by the It's a Wonderful Life War. THATS classic. 2) Spirited Away (2001) a little young to be a classic, but the first film that got my dad to acknowledge that animation could be used to tell meaningful stories (lol). it's beloved in my house and outside of it, and for years I made everyone in the house rewatch it on my birthday. 3) Grapes of Wrath (1940) i'm unaccountably attached to the book by steinbeck so i went into watching this one years ago with my family a little petulantly, not expecting to like it, wary of adaptations of books that muck up the everything that i like about it, but i remember being blown away by the acting, especially ma joad.

*when phanty wakes up he'll hear the sound of... light snoring? and if he were to look towards his desk, he'll find yuma fast asleep while curled up in his chair!! it seems he wanted to wait for phanty to wake up so he can hand him his present, said gift wrapped all nice and neat and is sitting right in the middle of phanty's desk, but apparently yuma had woken up a little too early and made the unwise decision to sit in his uncle's chair! now he's stuck in the middle of a dream, a small smile on his face as the tiny detective dreams about what an exciting day he'll have with his uncle~*

Phanty was asleep when Yuma had entered his room. So when he awakens, hearing the sound of light snoring.. "Mm...?" He blinks, looking around for a second before his eyes widen at seeing Yuma! "Oh...!" It looked like his tiny nephew had fell asleep at his chair... and from the look of a present on his desk, he could guess exactly that: he fell asleep, waiting for him to wake up~ "Hehe...well now. Already waking up to a nice surprise..."

He chuckles, taking a moment to yawn and stretch his arms before he rises out of bed. Then as he walks towards him, he softly rests a hand on his back. Smile warming when seeing a smile on Yuma's face... "He's having some nice dreams, I bet. Good....okay, leeet's see here...."

Picking up the gift box, he begins to carefully unwrap it, before giving a small gasp of awe when seeing what it is~ "Ohh!! Nice! I've been wanting this thing for a while...! Heh heh, leave it to Mr. Detective here to give me the perfect gift~!" Beaming even more than ever, he leans down, so that he can wrap his sleepy nephew in a big hug...

"Yuma... thank you... It's pefect. Oh, guess I'll relay your dream self the message, hehe." And then whispers: "...You dream about how happy you just made your uncle with the perfect gift. And that when you wake up, you'll getting pulled into the biggest bear hug and I'll properly thank you again. Uncle Phanty loves youuu....~!"
