Forgotten Failwomen of Film: Animala

origin: The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra (2001)

species: made of some squirrels and stuff with an alien science ray

abilities: crawling around, smell stuff real good, eat with her face, sexy hypnotic dancing, scratch people with her claws

weaknesses: basic human knowledge, neurodivergent masking

notes: in my opinion, she continues the tradition of the rabid gamine from german expressionist silent film, eg. Futura from Metropolis. also this is who I immediately thought of when Izutsumi showed up in Dungeon Meshi (they're not very similar beyond design/concept though, Animala definitely has that woodland creature hotdog-stealing grindset). Lost Skeleton is a really fun horror comedy/B-movie parody and I'm pretty sure you can watch the whole thing online from multiple legal, non-virusy sources, which is pretty cool.
