tenna makes me so insane like im gonna be real with you guys i didn't care about spamton like at all when chapter 2 came out but im back on the mainstream deltarune tumblr sexyman train this time

some rambling about my interpretations and hc (mostly chapter 3 and a tiny bit of 4) (bad english) 

before chapter 3 dropped there was already a ‘tenna design’ going around (?) idk if it was official or not but i thought the nose looked too much like spamton’s… it cant be… the big bad who ruined spamton life cant be him right? 

and then it turns out tenna is so much more chill than spamton… he is good and kind hearted even? he cares so much about kris and their family. can never trust a crooked salesman's words 

when tenna jumped onto the screen my eyes popped out of my sockets... his nose… his outfit... and the way he acts feels so much like the headcanon i have for big shot spamton (BIG) if he ever does tvshow (like at least 80%)... i love that so much….

i think the difference between tenna and spamton is that... tenna just wants to do his job and be loved, wanting to make lightners happy, with a lot of attachment and abandonment issues included in the package. I feel like tenna has an insane vibe but if he killed someone it might be by accident and he will feel bad abt it. He was manipulated into doing whatever transpired in chapter 3 too. like sure he has moments where he bully his employees and use the contract to force them to do his binding along other things but overall a misguided chaotic good boy who suffered so much from mental illness.

while spamton is like… everything he did was for himself. he wanted to be a big shot, respected, have wealth and social status. he wanted to be able to call his own shot, decide his own fate. he will manipulate others and even kill if it meant he achieved his goal.  no remorse. rotten to the core. and unlike tenna, who experienced success ever since he was born then slowly on the decline much later (he is still a boss in his world!), spamton had to experience being an underdog for quite a while before becoming a big shot, and then dropped down to the bottom of society with barely any hope to get back up. i think that speak a lot about their gap in experiences and knowledge (not to mention spamton knows so much more about the lore of the world, probably because of the person on the phone telling him)

when  the new chapters dropped i was bracing for some of my headcanons to explode into a million pieces... it was a good delusional time of 3+ years

but turn out the new chapters actually validate several of them/dont affect them????

- how it was implied spamton in his big shot era looked completely different from how he is now, to the point tenna couldnt recognize him during the dealmaker encounter (opening lots of room to draw him handsome and the like lmao) 

- spamton didnt seem to be on good term with anyone in his BIG era... making enemies everywhere he went. which is why i find it hard to ship him seriously with anyone in that era... and so i created an AU where he has a 'twin' lol *. the suziella minigame made me burst out laughing with tenna calling spamton his worst hater. even with the character that spamton has the most chance of a romantic relationship with, it wasnt smooth sailing at all. 

*the twinsBIG AU was created because i think spamton didnt get along with anyone in his BIG era, because everyone were either jealous of him, or only tried to get close to him because of his wealth and fame. the only person who he could trust and love, is himself... so its a selfcest AU disguised as a twincest AU lol. and then chapter 3 released a character who not only dressed super similar to BIG, acts like BIG, but also confirmed to have lots of connection with BIG???? Mr. Tony Vulpes wanted me dead on the spot i see. 

- tenna constantly calling him 'tiny mailman' (and the addisons mentioned it in chapter 2 too): maybe in canon he really is very short... but i still like to think BIG is 195cm tall (cope). he is just insecure when there are other men with bigger physiques than him like swatch and tenna in the same room as him.  probably because while spamton was still an addison he got mocked for his height by other addisons a lot (he is still growing!!) which created some insecurities deep rooted inside of his mind. even when BIG is taller than average he still wants more. he looks very confident but he doesnt want anyone taller than him. he doesnt want anyone better than him. a very petty and insecure man. and tenna knows this, so he continuously mocks spamton about his height, poking at his insecurities (everyone is short compared to tenna!!! hes so fucking tall.... even taller than NEO?? insane) 

i feel like spamton knows that he can use the 'secret to be a big shot' to makes tenna pander to him and does whatever he want (toxic relationship lol). like spamton will mock tenna about 'who tf watch tv these days lol. the internet and email is all the rage now' and it might make tenna feel conscious a bit about his lingering fear of being obsolete (at that point in time its not evident yet because according to tenna and ramb the lightners still play in front of/with him, so hes still relevant. they just brought the laptop home to play pretend and thats when tenna met spamton). meanwhile spamton, even though constantly bashing the tv industry as obsolete, still want to expand his influence through tv. for him there is never something called 'enough'. he wants a piece of whatever tenna currently have. 

it is unsure if spamton disappeared before or after the dreemur's divorce... i think each option has its own flavor. if it was before then it made him even more desperate to wait for spamton to come back, if it was after then he will be more desperate to make spamton spill his secret.  with the family broken apart, the lightners started watching tenna less and less and it make him slowly fall into despair... 

it seems most theory is set on spamton getting abandoned by the person on the phone because he was trying to tell tenna about his 'secret'. which lead to misunderstanding between them where tenna thought spamton scammed him, and spamton thought it was all a ploy by tenna to cause him his downfall...

but what if... wouldnt it be more tragic if the person on the phone was planning to abandon spamton from the start? whether spamton spills the secret or not doesnt matter. spamton at that point is of no use to them anymore, so they decided to discard him. and it just so happened to fell into the worst timing ever with spamton about to sign a deal with tenna? which led to the misunderstanding stated above. id imagine if the person on the phone wanted to stay a secret, they would have disclosed that from the beginning to spamton, and with how spamton worship that person i dont think he will spill anything.  

their situation is so terribly sad... both of them now at their lowest while thinking the other one is still doing well and resent each other....

the dealmaker scene while very funny, but the way spamton reacted is quite sad in my opinion. normally he probably throw a tantrum and yelling until the other party listen to him and acknowledge who he is. but this time he just stood there... calmly said hes never doing this again. and quitetly returned to the inventory. 

its like he is saying 'so you are just like everyone else (who have abandoned me)'.  

like how i interpret their relationship above (toxic) but i think at some point spamton let his guard down and thought he could trust tenna. and then the phone rang and his world turned upside down. he thought tenna betrayed him. so seeing tenna tending to the pipis, his mind choose to light up one last time about 'maybe he really do cares'. only to get a grossed out reaction and sprayed full of foam. (dont blame tenna... he cant recognize you) 

the only one that spamton said to be an exempt from his vengenful wrath was 'mike' probably because a giant ass literal microphone was the only thing that is 'nice' to him (because it cant trash talk or has ill intent at him) LMAO

aight thats enough abt spamton and tenna (there might be more but maybe later) chapter 4 really showed a piece of kris' personality and their attitude toward the soul that control them through noelle's home arc at the beginning of the chapter. kris doesnt like being controlled ( who does??) but it seems they are ok (or as time goes by, becoming more ok) with the soul's decisions most of the time as long as it doesnt interfere with their plan with the roaring knight. AND doesnt cause harm to people kris cares about. the constrast between the normal and weird route where kris furiously beat the trash can with the soul in it into a pulp, because they do not agree at all to whatever the soul just did to noelle proved that. they was also the one console noelle at the hospital on their own without the soul's influence too. kris is more like an 'anti-hero' instead of straight out malicious/evil. it seems they are a weird kid who went through so much family trauma and mental health problem, only to get roped into a promise that they can not back out of.

id imagine whatever made dess into the roaring knight, was also the one cursed kris with the 'soul' (gaster)

So!! Starting off with! My initial and final designs for his fairy counterpart!

I wanted her to have a sweet, softer look since my anti fairy looks like he'd eat out of a garbage can if given the chance to!

(The style dillema remains, I know, bare with me my friend I will find one i like for these!!)

My final thoughts were that she could be a candy themed fairy, with her speciality in wishes being baked goods and sweet treats! Just very positive and upbeat <3

I haven't given her much thought aside from that, since I want to focus on the blue goober instead though! Which speaking off, this is what I imagine he would've looked like before his whole identity crisis ordeal!

And after!! (And yes he did "illegally" transition, ✨️trans-ifies your anti fairy✨️)

He's a mess, trying to feel comfortable with himself and build his own identity while also struggling to avoid being the "opposite" of his fairy counterpart because that was his whole issue in the first place! (he's failing miserably)

Fun note: the glasses are plastic and from one of those cheap trinket stores (yk the ones) he stole them when he ran to the human world and is very emotionally attached to them because he feels like they're part of his /own/ identity uou

He's mildly feral and awful with social skills because his counterpart is very put together and a social butterfly (think spamton G spamton but less insane)

He will HAPPILY grant any wish despite the rules because he just wants a human he can stick with, but he does have morals and will leave if he feels the human isn't a good match

He's also very attached to animals with undeserved bad reputations, like rats and pigeons, because they bring him a little comfort

Again, he's a little freak (he's taking such a good nap in that second doodle)
