Thanks, now I'm sobbing about the fact that Alex does, eventually, leave him in quite a permanent way.

Every time I’m out exploring with Butch and he says “You’re not gonna leave me here, are you?” I wanna comfort him so badly. Imagine the things this guy had to go through to get such bad abandonment issues. Like no, man. I’m never gonna leave you on your own again. Tunnel Snakes stick together and don’t abandon each other.

I wrote a little bit of Fallout 3 stuff a few weeks back (Alex going back to 101 for Trouble On The Homefront) and just couldn't get this image of him out of my head and I needed to make it Real.

Lex has filled out since Butch last saw him, put on a good twenty pounds of muscle at least, and the worn white t-shirt that stretches over his chest and biceps does nothing to hide it. Part of him wonders if Lex wore it for him, wanted to show off maybe. Part of him wonders if Lex thought about him at all in the last six months. But more than the muscle he's added, or the tan of his skin, or the shagginess of his hair (which he clearly hasn't bothered to cut since he left the vault), there's change in him that Butch isn't sure he likes. There's a hardness to Alex Rousseau now, beyond just physical strength. It's there in the cold gleam in his eyes, the sharp set of his jaw. A boy left home, what feels like forever ago; a man stands in front of him now, tall and strong and chiseled as if from marble.

The thing is I can't stop drawing him. Also I have no idea how to dog. Learning as I go.
