he stared at the other as he leaned on the side of the van , arms crossed over his chest. the long hours on the road was getting to everyone , he knew this. it was getting to him and damn-- did he need a smoke but he wanted to wait for jonathan for that. “hey--” he called out to @cleryc​ softly. “you okay there , william?” he thought of the kid as a little brother ever since he had gotten closer with the oldest byers. “you need to talk? i always have an ear. i’m am amazing listener.”

     Halloween. It was a holiday that she had only heard of once she had left the confinements of the lab. Brenner never taught them of these holidays that people celebrated outside the walls they all grew up in. When asked about snow, he simply replied that it was something that happened in the season of Winter, depending on the place one lived, they got snow and if they lived in a different place, they had sun and warmth from it's rays.

     Eleven had longed to partake in these holidays after she had heard about them. Halloween. Thanksgiving. Christmas. Even hearing about one called Valentine's Day had intrigued her. They were new experiences, something she desired to understand. To go through at it's fullest and whatever was attached with it. Christmas outside of the lab? The first one? Spent in a snow covered forest, having learned to find warmth when and where she could, Hopper would leave food for her in a box, one that she could open from the Upside Down and be able to survive until her escape.

     When Doctor Owens had moved her to live with the Byers family, Eleven had wondered once more if she would get to experience these holidays that she had once heard about. She wondered if the Byers celebrated them or perhaps they had different things to celebrate? Either way, she wanted the experience. Wanted to see them in their full. Wanted to partake in their livelihoods they could offer.

     "We care...this?" She questions with a raise of an eyebrow. She's sitting at the kitchen table, one that is thoroughly covered in news papers, with two large pumpkins sitting atop it. A third was sitting upon the bar that connected this room to the kitchen. There were tools in front of her with bright orange handles, the likes of which, she had never seen before and she was filled with curiosity.

     She shakes her head, picking up the serrated knife and looking from it to the pumpkin, a slightly tilt of her head to the left as she tries to understand what exactly she was meant to do here. "You go first." She nods to Will then, a small smile finding it's way over her features. "Then I will follow."

ive mostly adored from afar, but i love ur nancy and hope we can write/plot something soon!

so it's most midnight by me, and i just wanted to made a little sappy post... i came back to tumblr in january of this year after a three year hiatus in the euphoria fandom where i reconnected with some of the best folks i've met on this hellsite ( @redemptioninterlude @notcruel @killjoysanonymous looking at you lot, and honorary mention to my bestie @liiabilities who i will dag back to tumblr in 2023 just you wait & to @kitkween even thought you left tumblr dot com earlier this year ily and your always stuck with me ) the first half of this year was full of late night sunday's screaming at you guys and the rest of the week decompression from the episode and talking about our unhinged but often accurate as fuck fan theories, it was a fucking pleasure to come back to such a precious wee group of friends.

then as the year went on, i eventually made this blog and got knee deep in the stranger things fandom, which was warned about getting into (lmao lor when do you ever listen, they can't be worse than riverdale, right? wrong.) but i don't fucking regret a second of it because i have met some of the best people , who i am lucky to call friends, who, while we might not always speak daily you have all made this wild little corner of the internet we all call our own a wonderful place to be, and are the reason i stuck it out in this fandom, and will continue to in 2023! special mention to @usawfulfew @clockworkfm @temporarywiin @tthehair @kingsnack @eddie @cleryc who i have had the pleasure of getting to know better over the last couple of months, you have all made my 2022, and can't wait to see what 2023 brings for us all!
