And now for something entirely niche here on tumblr dot com - bracelets made after the kirbyverse fan animation series, Spirits Excel! My sibling wanted some bracelets based on her favorite characters - and after being introduced to the series I did too! So above are the bracelets I made for her, and below are the two I've made for myself so far
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm hoping to make more for this series - bracelets, or art in general - because it's severely unknown around these parts and I'd like to see that change. Here's hoping I can help contribute to the very lonely fandom tag more going forward!

What is your OC’s ‘‘darkness moment’’ in the plot? and Is there someone your OC liked at first, but then grew to dislike? for Ari?
Thank you Crow!! These are for this ask game.
What is your OC’s ‘‘darkness moment’’ in the plot?
Pretty much all of Act 4 in the game. Being stripped of her rank, despite the fact she'd been performing excellently as Commander, and being sent on what increasingly seems like a suicide mission to the Abyss really starts to get to Ariadne. I've always portrayed Ariadne's Trickster mythic power kind of manifesting like a demented angel on her shoulder, guiding her normal sense of fun and whimsy. In the Abyss, it took on a more sinister edge, playing into her pettiness and urging her to make her pranks more elaborate and mean-spirited. She resisted at first but as more time passed with very little headway being made, the harder it became and sadly she did give in a few times. It caused her to become doubly afraid of her powers, and all the more reason for her to give them up in Act 5.
Is there someone your OC liked at first, but then grew to dislike?
The most obvious answer here is Galfrey, but honestly I don't think Ariadne dislikes Galfrey so much as finds her very frustrating. Ariadne had a lot of respect for her at first, that obvious soured after what happened in the Midnight Fane. Since then, they've butted heads quite frequently, never really reaching the level it was back when the Crusade was first getting started.
There's also the Trickster Council*. Ariadne thought they were an amusing bunch of bumbling but well-meaning idiots when she was first introduced to them, but that opinion went downhill when it became clear their "plan" was, well...stupid. All Ariadne had ever heard was opening more portals to more planes would be a disaster for Golarion, and she's inclined to agree. Plus she was the one doing all the work, and she definitely didn't appreciate that being swept under the rug.
*= this does not include Socothbenoth, who Ariadne vehemently disliked right from the start.

Beyond Evil: Alignment (Dungeons & Dragons)
I remembered this and got curious, and honest to god made an excel sheet for the alignments of all the known characters of Beyond Evil:
Tumblr media
For those who are unaware: In the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fantasy role-playing game, alignment is a categorization of the ethical and moral perspective of characters.
It's categorized between good versus evil, and lawful versus chaotic.
The better explanation can be seen as follows:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So based on these descriptions, I used the excel sheet to categorize the characters of Beyond Evil, and this is what I came up with:
Lawful Good: "Crusader"
Han Joowon
Oh Jihwa
Kang Dosoo
Im Seonnyeo
Neutral Good: "Benefactor"
Nam Sangbae
Oh Jihoon
Hwang Gwangyoung
Chaotic Good: "Rebel"
Lee Dongsik
Yoo Jaeyi
Tumblr media
Lawful Neutral: "Judge"
Kwon Hyeok
Kwak Ohsub
True Neutral: "Undecided"
Park Jeongje
Cho Gilgu
Chaotic Neutral: "Free Spirit"
Kang Minjeong
Tumblr media
Lawful Evil: "Dominator"
Han Kihwan
Jung Cheolmun
Neutral Evil: "Malefactor"
Do Haewon
Lee Changjin
Chaotic Evil: "Destroyer"
Kang Jinmook
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are not rigid categorizations, just a way to make better sense and have a better understanding of them as characters. It was just fun to label them like this. 😆
It's fascinating as well to realize too that all 9 alignments are actually present in Beyond Evil.
Also, these are purely personal interpretations, so feel free to interpret differently!
Here are all 9 alignments in summary:

In the fertile lands of the Evergraves, live the oxen. Unlike other gods who ruled tyrannically, more for themselves, taking what they want from the world and those who live in it. Rather than maintain and govern it fairly for the sake of its inhabitance. But Morossa the God of Burial, didn't just judge mortals fairly after death, but also ruled the living of his land in fairness. Besides a sense of respect for a god of course, their followers didn't have a lot to fear from them. The oxen have always been his most faithful followers.
Those of the Evergraves needed to live their lives right, for the sake of Morossa's judgement after death. Morossa's ghostly followers, who rather then passing on after their judgement, chose to remain in the living realm and continue to serve them in death. Morossa would also have the skeletons of the wicked souls he judged, deciding they did not deserve burial, move to their will and use them to protect the Evergraves. The ghosts and skeletons' undead presence might be unsettling for the Evergraves' living locals. But Morossa would never hurt them with them. The Evergraves are lush fertile plains, filled with much food, vegitation, graves (hence the name, and being ruled by the god of burial.), and especially PUMPKINS. Some of which are humongous! Morassa's followers have a custom of carving out a pumpkin, everytime a soul decides to stay in the Evergraves, the jack-o-lantern would serve as the spirit's home.
The Ox was special from the moment they were born. Ox came into the world with a dead left eye. Which intrigued Morossa, given the Evergraves living and undead ways. Morossa decided to give the Ox a special ability, to see the spiritual citizens of the Evergraves with their dead eye. After excelling in Morossa's faith teachings, the Ox was made his high priest and head funeral mortician. Truly being Morossa’s right hand and second in command was easy being able to see and talk to the spirits as they could. After hearing tale of the Lamb in the Lands of the Old Faith. Morossa sent the Ox as an emissary to reach out to the Lamb, hoping to give them an offer, a fair one.
The Ox returned to the Evergraves with the Lamb. Morossa told the Lamb, unlike the other gods who were threatened by them and sought their destruction. Morassa welcomed their ascension, and was willing to finally step down from their godhood. Centuries of godly responsibility is admittedly taxing. Seeing as what was once and vessel, excelled and achieved greater heights in a shorter amount of time then the Bishops or any god for that matter. There was continuous conflict among numerous gods. Morossa thought the world would know greater peace if there were was only one god and one faith, the Lamb. Morossa in their fairness wanted to test the Lamb first. Have them prove they are truly worthy of relinquishing their power too. Morossa gifted the Ox as a convert to the Lamb. Should the Lamb or the Ox following the Lamb's example, successfully crusade the Evergraves, and defeat Morossa in combat. The Lamb will have pass the test and Morossa yield to them. Truthfully Morossa will look forward to godly retirement, and a peaceful life in the Lamb's Cult. Trusting Morossa's judgement, the Ox committed themselves completely to the Cult of the Lamb. Starting their own division of the Cult in the Evergraves, consisting of living and undead followers. Given a crown copy to wield, and with their ability to see the dead. The Ox is truly an exemptional missionary of the Lamb.
I’d like to think since the Goat has a purple crown identical the Red Crown. Maybe its power could be copied and divided for the number of the Bishops of the Old Faith. The Lamb being the leader with the main crown, the Goat has a purple copy (purple like Shamura), the Gazelle has a yellow copy (yellow like Heket), the Ox has a green copy (green like Leshy), and the Yak has a blue copy (blue like Kallamar).

Read some delightfully impactful books this month, it was a very satisfying assortment of stories! My biggest recommendation is Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books, I'm telling everyone I can to read that book. Funny, meaningful, and sort of lights a fire under your ass, makes you want to make the world better.
Tumblr media
Doctor Who: Forever Autumn
My obligatory Halloween-y read. Like many Doctor Who books of this particular calibre it was a fine and entirely forgettable read. It was fun to have an autumn-themed setting and villain, and I always love when Martha’s around. They wind up needing to deal with “no no it’s not magic it’s definitely just science we don’t understand for sure for sure” and some pumpkin-headed terrors. It was a pleasant thing to have playing as an audiobook while driving to work amid autumn leaves.
Tumblr media
A Lady for a Duke
This had so much potential but honestly failed to live up to it imo. This story is very deliberately tipping its hat to Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and the initial set up is really promising. Injured and presumed dead during the Battle of Waterloo, transwoman Viola Carroll seizes her chance to remake her life and live the way she wants. She becomes the lady's companion to her brother’s wife (the only two who know that she’s alive) and with their help begins figuring out how to fit into this new life. However when an old childhood friend, the Duke of Gracewood who had fought alongside her in Waterloo, seems to be in a bad state she finds herself being forcefully drawn out of her quiet, secluded life and put at risk of being recognized by someone who had known her before.
Excellent premise! The characters are fun, Viola is an enjoyable protagonist, Gracewood is a decent romantic lead, and Viola’s sister-in-law is easily my favourite character in the book, she’s a DELIGHT, especially when paired with her husband. The first half of the book is also pretty well done, with lots of mistaken identity and pining, very much in the spirit of Twelfth Night. Unfortunate the second half is where it loses all momentum. The dialogue becomes repetitive and the romance rather dull, the B-Plot is really the only thing dragging the plot along at that point. It also loses any real touch with historical attitudes towards queer issues — it was always a light touch, but it quickly becomes everyone repeating All The Right Things to each other ad nauseum, without any real exploration of queer identities in a Regency period. Which, to be fair, is probably what some people want, very low stakes and chill romance, but for me it took the wind out of the book’s sails, I would have loved more discussion. It would have made the sex more interesting at least.
That being said, if you want a soft, pleasant, historical trans romance, I would honestly give it a shot. If nothing else the first half is REALLY quite good, I couldn’t put it down, and the last half isn’t so bad that it damns the whole thing. It’s worth it if this is what you’re keen on.

Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books
Easily my favourite book from October, this book managed to hit on very topical subjects with both tact and humour. In a small town in Georgia, Lula Dean has spearheaded a book banning crusade, managing to get a number of “problematic” books removed from the library and has made a show of setting up a Little Free Library in her yard full of “appropriate” books instead. When Beverly Underwood visits her mother and hears about this she’s so exasperated with it all that she quickly hatches a plan. The night before she leaves for home, she takes the banned library books from where they’re being stored and swaps out their dust jackets with the ones in Lula Dean’s Little Free Library. The rest of the story is about various people in the town who borrow a book from Lula Dean’s library and how the book they got instead ends up impacting not just themselves but their town. The first story involves a penis cake. Can’t recommend it enough, starts out humour and quickly becomes something you want to rally around.
Tumblr media
My Neighbour Totoro
This was an enjoyable read just because I like Totoro in general, but it was not the best novelization I’ve ever read. Honestly I think it mostly suffers from a less-than-ideal translation… the whole thing comes across as quite stilted and I have a feeling the language was prioritised over the flow and intention. It was fine, cosy to sit and read, gives a couple scenes that aren’t in the movie that were interesting, but overall it won’t deliver anything the movie doesn’t do better.
Tumblr media
Ogres
Absolutely fascinating novella, and a very rare example of a story told absolutely perfectly in second-person. If you’re looking for something a bit different and thought-provoking, this was a good read.
Ogres rule this world. They’re bigger than you. Stronger than you. Have magics you could never comprehend. The natural order of the world is for humans to serve ogres. However you, as the son of the village headman, live an idyllic sort of life… until the ogre landlords come to call and everything begins to go wrong and you're facing realities and secrets you never could have imagined.
Tumblr media
The One and Only Family
I read this one mostly because I wanted to finish off the series. The One and Only Ivan is a fantastic novel that is a fictionalised account of a real silverback gorilla that was poached and brought back to the United States to live in a small cage in a roadside mall. The first story is about him, his friends Bob and Ruby, and his life in captivity. The second and third book are about Bob the dog and Ruby the elephant respectively, and this last book focuses back on Ivan, his new life in a zoo, and his growing family. Honestly all the other books in this series were fine for kids, had some good ideas behind them, but were otherwise somewhat bland. I’m glad I finished the series but they don’t hold a candle to the first book.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Pushcart War
Now this was a fun children’s novel, recommended to me by my New York girlfriend who says it’s a staple in New York classrooms — and I can see why, it’s an incredibly fun read. A prime example of a well-done under-dog story, very satisfying! The book is a “historical account” of the “New York City Pushcart War”, in which the city streets are hopelessly congested and everyone is suffering. The worst offenders are the big trucks which just seem to get bigger and bigger, and pushier and pushier. The trucking companies hatch a plan on how to gradually push out all other competition: they’ll start with the little, old-fashion pushcarts, try to villainize them until they’re entirely removed from New York City... and if no one speaks up for them, then how hard will it be to push out the taxis next? Or the automobiles? However, the scrappy little push-cart owners fight back. It’s very much written to be an allegory for actual wars, played on a smaller scale which some delightful wit and an interesting narrative voice.

Series of Unfortunate Events 4-10
I continue to read A Series of Unfortunate Events. As a child I had only ever read up to The Carnivorous Carnival so it’s exciting to strike into new territory with The Slippery Slope. I really enjoy the slippery slope you see the Baudelaires beginning to get caught in as the series progresses, how they have to start making concessions and doing things they wouldn't have considered doing at the beginning, and how their views of the world is beginning to evolve. Austere Academy, Ersatz Elevator, and The Vile Village are my favourite of this set.
Tumblr media
The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System v3
I finished the main series of The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System and I’m not ready for it to be over ;^; I’m in the process of reading the last book of bonus stories and trying to savour it. I was hugely judgemental about this series and was tempted to skip it entirely, but I’m so glad I actually sat down to read it. Out of all of MXTX’s series, this one has, in my opinion, the least palatable main relationship and I say that with deep and profound affection. It's passionate and complicated and slightly horrifying but I don't think you could write it any other way. Every single thing about this story is messy and I think that really works in its favour.
Shen Qingqiu is an incredibly biased narrator, and it’s really interesting to read a story in which the main character tends to think of those around him more as characters in a book than as genuine people. You get to see how him viewing himself as a passive observer instead of an actual person with agency who can have an impact on others continuously trips him up, and how his actions have far reaching consequences that he fails to recognize. It makes this entire series a very meta exploration of storytelling and the impact people's personal narratives have on themselves and others. It really consistently shows how cruelty begets cruelty... but also how the choice to step away from easy resentment can break endless cycles. That's a common theme across her works, but the way its handled in this book particularly struck me.
Over all, it’s a fun, silly story with way more heart than I anticipated -- this last book really made me cry! I was so unprepared for the series to be over that I had to stare at the ceiling for a while to try to digest it all. If you were feeling debating whether or not to try this series, I’d honestly give it a shot because it brings way more to the table than the surface level plot would suggest.
Tumblr media
This Census-Taker
Fucking weird novella. I grabbed this from the library because I quite enjoyed Railsea so I thought I’d try something else by this author. And I really liked it! But also what the fuck. Still don’t know if I absorbed everything that I was meant to absorb, but it’s obviously a book with a lot to say and did it through the most deranged and intriguing world building. China Miéville is great at creating unique worlds that feel alive and vibrant — this is the sort of world real people could live in, no matter how strange.
Goodread’s summary because gun to my head I’m not sure I’d be able to come up with a more functional explanation: “After witnessing a profoundly traumatic event, a boy is left alone in a remote house on a hilltop with his increasingly deranged parent. When a stranger knocks on his door, the boy senses that his days of isolation are over—but by what authority does this man keep the meticulous records he carries? Is he the boy’s friend? His enemy? Or something altogether other?” This doesn’t even scratch the surface but it does give a functional idea of the surface level plot. If you want something to sink your teeth in to and flex your analytical muscles, this one will do it for you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The War That Saved My Life // The War I Finally Won
Absolutely stunning YA novel series, can’t recommend it enough. This series is centred on Ada, a girl born in the East End of London to an abusive mother who scorns her for her club foot. Ada is forced to stay in the apartment, is severely neglected and mistreated, and does her best to take care of her younger brother during all this. When news of WWII arrives though and people begin sending their children away from London to live in the country, Ada is determined to run away with her brother and get them both onto one of those trains, to find a better life far from the threatened bombs and their mother. The story followers Ada and Jamie finding a new home and contending with the trauma they’ve lived through during the throes of World War 2.
(* in regards to the queer content of this book: it is entirely subtext however it is such obvious subtext that I feel fine labelling it as queer, it's beautifully done -- very much a "haunting the narrative" sort of plotline)
Tumblr media
The Warden
A “cosy fantasy” novel that was a fairly decent attempt at the genre. I find some cosy fantasies fail (for me at least) just because… nothing happens. This novel sort of straddles the line between cosy fantasy and standard fantasy in a way that I found quite satisfying and kept things from getting boring.
Aelis de Lenti is a newly graduated necromancer from the Lyceum who has accepted the position of Warden in the remote village of Lone Pines. Admittedly she had been hoping for a posting in an actual city with actual modern amenities but here she is. Surrounded by sheep shit and villagers who don’t trust her, in a crumbling wizard’s tower. Great. The story is about her gradually finding her space in this community, learning how to handle her position, and generally getting to kick ass and take names. It was a fun read.

Thanks for the tag @kaleido-scope-lady! 💕 This was highly appreciated for procrastination purposes.
Tag game: Give your KC’s first impression and final opinion of each of their companions!
Siavash's (not spoiler-free) hot takes:
First impressions
Seelah – A paladin with a party spirit. Now this is someone I can really get behind. (wink)
Camellia – Not even a smile? How about a little half-elf solidarity? ...Not that either? Give it time. I’ll find her angle. She can’t be as bad as she seems.
Lann – Weird combination, and not just the body parts. Pessimism and determination. Seems like a reliable guy and since that’s one thing I’m not, he’ll be good to have around. Also – perfect straight man for my routines.
Wenduag – Tough as Hell. I wish she didn’t beat Lann up about his idealism because that’s the one thing that might save him. I wonder if she has any idealism left to save herself.
Woljif – Dreamboat. I do look like the kinda guy that would work on, don’t I? He’s got my number already. …and he can have it.
Ember – Dreamer, this poor child. The things she says are so crazy they’re almost inspired.
Daeran – The folly of feudalism: exhibit one. Surprised nobody’s slapped him yet.
Nenio – Curious, for someone who knows so much trivia I don’t think she knows how funny she is.
Ulbrig – This towering barbarian calling me warchief is excellent for the bit
Galfrey – Exhibit two. No, that’s uncharitable. She’s had a lot on her plate, and for longer than most people could stomach. She needs to lighten up. Maybe I can show her running a crusade doesn’t have to be soul-crushing. It can be fun!
Sosiel – I think this kid is tougher than he seems, coming all the way here from Carpenden. I sure hope so, because I’d hate to see that freshness turn sour.
Regill – Who invited this guy?
Trever – This is what happens. Dreamer, don’t let it happen to me.
Arueshalae – This is one of those times when Desna tests you – gives your heart the choice of Cynosure or cynicism. I’m going to believe in her if it kills me.
Greybor – You know what, I’m just gonna prove him wrong. “Professional” doesn’t have to dress sober.
Aivu – Best. Friend. Forever.
Final opinion
Seelah – Biggest heart in the world. And after everything - party spirit intact. Dreamer I’m lucky I crossed paths with this woman. Wouldn’t have made it without her hugs. Well, also without her as body shield.
Camellia – How could I have been quite that blind? Only saw what I wanted to see. It’s hard to admit but I’m not sure there was anything that could have been done for her. For all his faults Horgus did try. Even setting her free to find her own way would have ended badly for her, because it wouldn’t have been freedom.
Lann – Love this guy. I’ll never forget that moment, seeing him look up at the starry sky and see possibility for the first time.
Wenduag – Ironic how trying to claw her way up is what brought her down. Probably because she never looked up far enough to see the stars.
Woljif – My love, forgive me if I ever doubted that your heart was stronger than your shadow.
Ember – What was it Lann said? A saint or insane, or maybe both? Both. She doesn’t believe mortals can save ourselves, so all we can do is be kind to each other. I have so much to learn from her.
Daeran – You know what I admire most? This man knows what he wants out of life – and fiercely, unapologetically pursues it. I count myself lucky that true friendship is one of those things because it turns out he's great fun and I'm surprised how fond of him I am now.
Nenio – I think she cited me in her entry on “Friendship.” By name. Sometimes I regret taking my pants off that one time. But actually no.
Ulbrig – I can really relate to having two more-or-less incompatible halves pulling opposite directions. I’m glad he let his guard down with me eventually because behind all the stubborn bluster the poor guy really felt lost, and commiserating with someone helped us both. Second only to Seelah for great hugs.
Galfrey – The best thing about her is her humanness. I wouldn’t like her nearly as much I do now if she hadn’t had indulged in a little spite. Just kinda wish it hadn’t been directed at me. No no, we're good. It's fine. Would you guess she can be surprisingly funny?
Sosiel – He did turn out to be tough. Strong enough to face terrible things, temper his idealism and still keep his heart. That portrait… (he starts to tear up) …if that’s how he sees me there’s no greater compliment.
Regill – The thing is, I trust him with my life. Because even if there’s a perfectly logical reason why he ought to kill me he’ll be three chess moves ahead with an even better reason not to. One thing I resent about the lawful types is the arrogance in thinking they’re following some universal order when it’s really just their heart all along. Yeah, you can tell him I said that.
Trever – When I visited the Vaenics in Carpenden after the war I saw him with his lathe, and as he worked there was such peace in his face and hands. Scarred as they are. He made me the most beautiful rosewood writing desk, a true work of art. There’s so much hope in that.
Arueshalae – One of the strongest people I’ve ever met. I have an idea what it’s like to try to keep your eyes fixed on an impossible star even with the claws of the Abyss pulling you under. Where we connect is that we both want to be better people, and to do that you sometimes have to look back and face what you’ve done wrong.
Greybor – Is he happier now? I like to think so. Being an assassin was easy for him. Being a father, not so much. He needed a new challenge.
Aivu – Best. Friend. Forever.
Tagging no pressure: @the-raging-tempest, @dragonologist-phd, @arendaes, @yunessa, @bite-the-bloody-hand

Todays rip: 27/12/2023
Mr. Rental [B Side] ~ Out of Options
Season 1 No Album Release (Read More) Options - Mr Rental: The Video Game
Ripped by NBGMusic
youtube
Yeah, I missed yesterday's post. My bad - you're getting two posts today instead. For such an occasion, I wanted to feature two rips of vastly different sides of the SiIvaGunner spectrum. And, well, I feel like it's been a while since we've covered something truly deranged and out-there, hasn't it? Excluding Your Rip's Shit, Mr. Grinch, which arguably does count, the last time we truly went into the trenches of SiIvaGunner's absurdity was, like...waterwraith pokos from a month ago? Regardless, its time we drop all this Christmas spirit for just a second and reminisce upon the true best SiIvaGunner story arc - the Mashup Crusaders arc.
The strange name of today's rip, Mr. Rental [B Side] ~ Out of Options, is one that I promise does make sense in the storyline's context. Though Season 1 is many things good and bad, one thing it will always have over the channel's later years is that air of surprise and experimentation, with tons of independent ripper-driven passion projects and shitposts coexisting with few things actually planned for the channel's long-term future. That's part of how I've been able to feature so many memorable rips from the Season despite its short 9-month run and often underwhelming rip quality, how we got excellent rips like Collision Chaos Good Future JP [CD Beta Mix] and Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday - as performed by Bob Dylan, and indeed how we eventually arrived at the Mashup Crusaders arc. Born from the mind of one NBGMusic and based loosely on the meme-happy qualities of the Mr. Rental Facebook page of 2016, it was a series of rips follow two different incarnations of the aforementioned character across two different games. And while one was a lighthearted spoof of the Looney Tunes series, of what I'm going to unofficially label the "A-Side" of the story, it was the B-Side that immediately grabbed people's attention.
Indeed, though the Mr. Rental seen within the A-Side story was a kind soul, with his rips depicting him helping SiIvaGunner's memes good form and aids in ripping, the B-Side depicted a destructive, chaotic force of nature, in a fully animated and "voice acted" MS Paint-drawn world. Mind, this was long before the Christmas Comeback Crisis, and just after The Reboot had ended - the "Mr. Rental: The Video Game" rips were some of the only times we'd be seeing full-on animated depictions on what we presumed was the continuing story of the SiIvaGunner channel.
In the end, the Mashup Crusaders arc was moreso just NBGMusic's little playground to express his opinions and sense of humor as a ripper more than an actual continuation of the core storyline of the channel. But the popularity of the character he'd created was undeniable - through the sheer force of repeated shitposting, Mr. Rental had become a somewhat core cast member of the SiIvaGunner story. And I feel like Mr. Rental [B Side] ~ Out of Options was the moment where that status was wholly cemented - the episode where, after hearing one too many low-effort mashups (Snowball Park - Super Mario 3D World, anyone?), Mr. Rental goes on a killing spree and declares his intentions to wholly eradicate mashups from existence.
Beyond being just a genuinely really funny series of rips, it was with this episode that things really began to get interesting. Because from time to time, this crazed Mr. Rental would begin appearing in other rips on the channel, proudly declaring his intentions - most famously in a simple mashup of Super Mario 3D Land's theme and Chip tha Ripper, with him literally shooting the rip to death eleven seconds in. From this silly side project, the community suddenly had a sort of villain character present within the channel's inner workings - and this was long before the concept of Figments and the in-canon inner workings of SiIvaGunner would become clarified within the lore later in Season 2 and Season 3.
Though the Mashup Crusaders arc sadly didn't get the proper wrap-up it deserved, all of the excitement and surprise that surrounded it will forever be some of my fondest memories with Season 1 of SiIvaGunner. Before the Christmas Comeback Crisis, before Wood Man, before Haltmann, before the King for a Day and King for Another Day Tournaments, and before the SiIva AI - when all we had was SiIvaGunner, Chad Warden and The Voice Inside Your Head, it was such an exciting time to learn that the wheels inside of the SiIvaGunner storyline might still be spinning. Even if it took the form of an Australian rental service mascot declaring war upon low-quality rips.

Kenabres Market Square
the first of many journal entries documenting Muras journey. this one writing about her thoughts on the events of Kenabres Square, before and during the attack of the Demon Lord
Master-post Ao3 chapter Next entry [Under Kenabres]
The golden haired Aasimar seemed noble- although his words leave much to be desired. Petty vengeance can be put aside if he proves useful- nobility in a place like Kenabres are often the only people with long histories there, the rest are drifters, money seekers and crusaders.
The elder crusader may be in a position of influence, but he was the one that had the gall to have me stripped of my weapons. He is not at the tavern, so I hope he has suffered at the hands of the demonic plague. His comment about the crusader spirit was sickening, my will is strong not out of foolish worship, or naivete like the fools that follow him, but of skill and knowledge. No mere demons will get the better of me.
He did call for the dragon to heal me, yet squandered that little good will I was willing to offer him by interrogating me on my reason to be in Kenabres. Private business gives more to the city than the crusaders, for it is us independent workers who will line your pockets, us who will bulk out your armies and die for you, and us who pleasure you. Maybe I shall inquire if anyone has ‘private business’ for him- after all, there are many the crusaders have discomforted, why not do some good for them? Show them support?
For the sake of his well being, the dragon interrupted his blabbering, but not before he spluttered some more. [Note: there seems to be tension? Perhaps use that. See who has taken her place, if it is him or not]
The dragon was an excellent healer, with soft words that would warm any fool's heart- but humorous when applied to my own relationship with life and death. ‘Let light and life go forth in triumph to repel the skulking shade of death’ the skulking shade of death is nothing to fear to me, an eternal companion, a constant embrace, yet still one that will never truly have me.
Regardless of unfit wording, my pain did subside, and her warnings will be heeded. As I sit here I still feel the throbbing pain from the wound, but it has become a second heartbeat, a repetitive sensation absorbed into my body's dialogue.
Her promise of aid is hollow now, but with Seelah and others as my witness I may be able to use that promise, even with the dragon gone from us. There will surely be at least one crusader who wishes to ease their heart's grief by fulfilling the dragon's debt.
There is little to note about the festival.
Ah, but I have yet to note all the people who spoke over my body- the half elf who I later learned was called Camellia, noble status betrayed by her unwillingness to go ‘running errands’ although later she had no qualms about getting her sword bloody.
And Seelah, the only crusader I find myself fond of. Her willingness to help rings true now I have fought alongside her, one of the few among her group who lives up to her professed ideals. She is even tolerable- a worthy companion, someone who can interact with and assure the crusaders of my legitimacy, able to divert prying eyes from my actions if they think she is monitoring me.
I have let my thoughts wander, perhaps a small rest is in store for my mind and hand, but before that a short note on the lord's attack.
Deskari Lord of Locusts- a name to note. Perhaps after seeing him slay the dragon with ease I should have taken the potion and ran, but in my fury I shot the bolt at him nonetheless.
I have a feeling either choice would have sent me tumbling into the pit sooner or later.
I digress. I think I shall take a small break to collect my thoughts before penning my underground travels.

The Lion Man and Cubs Prompt
A WOW fanfic prompt…
Do not own WOW
Anyone can use this fic….
A bit of a TMNT Parody
Mutated Anduin
Lion creature Anduin
Exiled Anduin
After Sylvanas defeat, Tyrande attempts to remove Anduin from power with a few of the Alliance members and nobles, Jaina tries to talk them out of it
Anduin feared that they were going to kill him and fled before he could be usurped
Feeling no longer able to return to the Alliance, fled to find his purpose with only his father’s sword and compass
He felt that he failed the Alliance and his father, lost hope, and wanders without any thought for his safety
He then was captured by the Scarlet Crusade, who hoped to take over Azeroth with an army created for the light
Since Anduin was the most excellent priest when it came to the light, they believed that his bloodline would be a crucial ingredient to creating warriors dedicated to eradicating those who deny it
They also collected animals to act as servants for when they wipe out rivals against the light, both Alliance and Horde, using Anduin’s Blood to harvest and mutate them
Anduin did not fight back with broken spirit until he saw the animals, the feline species being caged like he was
Varian visits his mind, telling his son that he must do what a king must do, restoring Anduin’s fire as his bloodline fused with a cub Savannah Prowler Lion, Sable Jaguar cub, Kitten, Cheetah Cub, Mountain Lion Cub, Snow Panther Cub, Jungle Panther Cub, Swift Stormsaber Cub, Tiger Cub, Sea lion Cub, Lion seal cub, and Grovestalker Lynx kitten, turning them into human cat men
Anduin used a smiting spell, regaining his sword to free the mutants, animals, and the creatures that now shared his DNA
All the while, the Alliance and Horde (Not together) were raiding the Scarlet Crusade base when they caught wind of their plan, not knowing Anduin was here until later
When Genn threw a lion out of the way, the dead animal collided with Anduin and the residue that created the mutants, turning Anduin into a Lion Man
Genn didn’t even realize what he had down until he spotted Anduin slowly transform
Anduin escaped before the Alliance, Horde or Scarlet Crusade could reach him, taking the cubs with him
Anduin was distressed by his new form but then find purpose with his newest children to take care of
Soon Anduin was found by a circus and became part of the freakshow, caged up with the cubs, not knowing who he is
At first, many made fun of him
But when one of the carnies were being harassed by a paladin and Anduin intervened, claiming that what he was doing was not the teachings of light
Anduin used a smite spell and defeated the paladin, earning the circus respect
He was given his own wagon for himself and the cubs
He then decided to name the cubs he saved
Savannah Prowler Lion named Varian
Sable Jaguar cub named Gallant
 Kitten named Neku
 Cheetah Cub named Samuel
 Mountain Lion Cub named Vivian
 Snow Panther Cub named Snowbelle
Jungle Panther Cub named Eclipse
 Swift Stormsaber Cub named Taifū
 Tiger Cub named Atticus
Sea lion Cub named Aqua
 Lion seal cub named Elodie
 Grovestalker Lynx kitten named Kiki
Anduin would teach them and care for them with any free time he had
With his act as the Lion Man, he became one of the acrobatics and well-favored
Anduin soon realized that he was needed as the poor creatures turned mutants needed guidance in a cruel and unforgiving world then left the carnival
The Alliance then began to search for Anduin as regret clawed into their hearts
The Scarlet crusade soon began their crusade as they began their mission for the light
Anduin finds the mutant that wished for help and leads them as they were discovered by the Horde
Baine recognized Anduin, happy to see he is unharmed and offer him to join the alliance as its new leader, not a Warchief but the Grand Peacekeeper

Batman x Philadelphia Phillies Limited Edition Baseball Jersey
Tumblr media
Link Product: https://inspirdg.com/product/batman-x-philadelphia-phillies-limited-edition-baseball-jersey/
A Hero’s Cape Reimagined: The Batman x Philadelphia Phillies Limited Edition Baseball Jersey
An Artistic Fusion of Gotham Shadows and Diamond Lights
The Batman x Philadelphia Phillies Limited Edition Baseball Jersey is not merely a piece of fanwear—it is a symphony of comic mythology, historic baseball heritage, and artistic genius. This jersey is a masterclass in merging superhero storytelling with team spirit, infused with a sense of samurai solemnity and the raw emotion of vintage Japanese artistry. Bold yet elegant, fierce yet honorable—this jersey stands tall as one of the most visually captivating collaborative designs in sports apparel.
From the moment one sets eyes on it, this piece commands respect. The front design opens with the classic "Phillies" script rendered in cream, evoking the timeless charm of America’s pastime. But surrounding that familiar comfort is something profoundly new: a dark, starry aesthetic that evokes Gotham’s midnight skyline, framed by dramatic crashing waves inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Woven into this turbulent oceanic imagery is the unmistakable silhouette of Batman—not the caped crusader of cartoons, but a warrior cloaked in the mystery and honor of feudal Japan. His presence is calm, focused, and powerful—a silent sentinel amid chaos.
The Back: A Canvas of Myth, Moonlight, and Might
The back of the jersey transforms into a cinematic tapestry. Centered is an ethereal full moon, bathing the battlefield in cold light. Beneath it stands Batman once again—this time fully realized as a samurai, wearing textured armor and a flowing cloak, channeling both Bruce Wayne’s eternal discipline and the stoic strength of a shogun. To his side, cherry blossoms drift in the wind, contrasting the intensity of the waves and adding a poetic softness that speaks to the duality of Batman’s world: justice and vengeance, rage and restraint.
Down the left side, the vertical word “PHILADELPHIA” is written in a script that blends Western clarity with Eastern reverence. It doesn’t just label the city—it elevates it to the level of legend. In this piece, Philly isn’t just a place on a map. It becomes a modern Gotham, a stage for warriors of grit and loyalty.
Design Mastery: Textures, Tones, and Cultural Alchemy
What makes this jersey extraordinary is not just its symbolism, but the precision of its craftsmanship. The color palette is perfection—deep black and navy for the night, gold for tradition and royalty, soft ivory for text and trim. These tones aren’t chosen at random; they’re coded in cultural nuance and visual harmony. The black doesn’t swallow detail—it enhances it. The gold doesn’t scream—it whispers power. The waves, delicately contoured in cream and black, merge seamlessly into the garment, making it feel less like fabric and more like a wearable ukiyo-e painting.
The collar and sleeve piping in gold lends just enough structure to echo traditional baseball jerseys, grounding this epic design in the sport’s roots. But this jersey’s soul isn’t confined to the diamond. It would feel equally at home in a streetwear collection, a museum exhibit, or a collector’s shrine to pop culture excellence.
Cultural Reverence Meets Modern Fandom
There is a deep respect embedded in every inch of this jersey—for both Batman’s enduring legacy and Philadelphia’s storied sports culture. The samurai theme isn’t a gimmick; it’s a careful cultural reference that pays homage to Batman’s disciplined moral code and his mastery of combat, while also nodding to the global appreciation of Japanese aesthetics. This is not cosplay—it’s couture. Not caricature, but celebration.
By placing Batman in samurai form, the designers remind us that heroes transcend time and geography. The symbol of the bat, when interpreted through the lens of honor, strategy, and inner strength, aligns perfectly with the spirit of the Phillies: a team known for toughness, tradition, and relentless drive.
A Collector’s Dream and a Fan’s Armor
The Batman x Philadelphia Phillies Limited Edition Baseball Jersey is not just a limited drop—it is a moment in wearable art history. For fans of the Phillies, it’s a fresh and fearless expression of team pride. For Batman devotees, it’s a powerful reimagining of their hero. For fashion-forward collectors, it is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that captures everything we love about crossover collaborations—when worlds collide and something timeless is born.
This is a jersey to be worn with swagger, hung with reverence, and passed down as a symbol of the age where fandom and fine art found each other. It proves that the language of sport and the mythology of superheroes are not far apart—they’re two forms of the same story: passion, perseverance, and purpose.
Conclusion: Shadows Never Shine So Bright
Few garments manage to tell a story this vivid, this elegant, and this resonant. The Batman x Philadelphia Phillies Limited Edition Baseball Jersey is not just elite streetwear—it’s a declaration of duality, power, and timeless identity. In a world oversaturated with surface-level collaborations, this jersey dives deeper, pulling from history, honoring culture, and delivering greatness.
This isn’t just about Batman. Or baseball. It’s about becoming the hero of your own legend.

Who is a hero? What makes a hero? In a world where reality often falls short of our expectations, where disappointments lurk around every corner, the concept of heroism takes on a new and intriguing form—one that transcends the boundaries of the tangible and ventures into the realm of the fantastical. If you were to ask me who my hero is, I would most likely point toward the realm of fiction, where the impossible becomes possible, and the extraordinary becomes commonplace.
But what truly defines a hero in this day and age? Is it the cape-clad crusaders of book lore, or is it the unsung champions of our world, quietly toiling away to make a difference in the lives of others? For me, a hero is someone who dares to dream of a better world, someone who envisions a future where equality reigns, sustainable practices flourish, and the stars themselves beckon us to explore their mysteries.
To be a hero, in my eyes, means to champion the cause of a solar-punk future, where technology and nature coexist harmoniously, where self-sufficiency grants us the freedom to reach for the heavens and touch the very stars themselves. It is a vision of a world where every individual plays a part in shaping a brighter tomorrow, where each action contributes to the greater good of all, no matter how small.
How can I be a hero for my country today? Today, I strive to be a hero for my country by embracing the power of education, equipping myself with the tools of diplomacy, and nurturing a spirit of lifelong learning that will guide me from my cradle to my grave. As I tread the path of academia, I aim to not only excel in my studies but also to embody the ideals of a true scholar - one who seeks knowledge not for personal gain, but for the betterment of society as a whole.
In the here and now, I dedicate myself to various socio-political organizations, advocating for causes close to my heart such as women's rights, cross-cultural communication, and acceptance of diverse cultures like Chinese and Japanese traditions. As a UNESCO ambassador in training, I strive to be an exemplar of unity and understanding, bridging the gaps between nations and fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
As the head of sponsorships and secretariat for projects that benefit our community, I work tirelessly to secure the funds needed to bring these initiatives to life, knowing that each event, each proposal, has the potential to create positive change in the lives of those around me. I may not wear a cape or possess superhuman abilities, but in my own small way, I aim to be a hero—a beacon of hope and inspiration in a world that desperately needs both.
So, as I look towards the future, towards the stars that twinkle in the vast expanse of the cosmos, I hold fast to the belief that heroism is not confined to the pages of fiction, but is a living, breathing force that resides within each and every one of us. And in that realization, I find the strength to continue my journey, to strive for a better world, and to touch a star someday, not just in the heavens above, but in the hearts and minds of all those around me.

From Kissing Fish Book 1-8-25 "We need a non-creedal Jesus." "The story goes that Jesus of Nazareth showed up at a football game between the Catholic Crusaders and the Protestant Punchers. The Crusaders scored first, which prompted Jesus to throw his hands up wildly and cheer profusely. But then, when the Punchers scored, Jesus responded in the very same manner. This puzzled the man sitting behind him, who asked him which side he was rooting for. Jesus said, “Oh, I am rooting for neither side. I am just enjoying the game.” The man turned to his friend and said, “Hmm, an atheist.” After the game, someone asked Jesus if he was in the habit of never taking sides. Jesus replied, “I side with people rather than religions. I told my fellow Jews once that the Sabbath was invented for human beings, not human beings for the Sabbath.” The Jesus movement was quite diverse from its beginning, but unfortunately, scholarship only discovered this over the last couple of centuries, because history always tells its stories from the side of the victors and those in power, who redact and embellish it, so it presents the picture they want to paint. Jesus was not worshiped as God, superior to all other human beings, by all the early followers of Jesus. The recent accessibility of some early texts such as the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Mary make this clear. I highly recommend a book by Harvard scholar, Karen L. King titled, “The Gospel of Mary of Magdala: Jesus and the First Woman Apostle.” Her chapter on “The History of Christianity” is excellent. I advocate for replacing “Christology” with “Jesusology,” with a focus on both the canonical and non-canonical Gospels. What is most needed today is a non-creedal, pluralistic, inclusive understanding of Jesus that can begin to break apart the Jesus of Christian exclusivism and exceptionalism. It’s time we let Jesus be who he really was – not God walking around in a human body, but a truly enlightened human being. A sage, prophet, seer, mystic, healer, exorcist, and wisdom teacher, who beautifully and abundantly manifested the attributes and qualities of Spirit, the foundational and essential attribute from which all the others arise being divine love (agape). If Christianity could part with its exclusive claims on Jesus, and let Jesus be a model, guide, and exemplar for everyone, a Jesus who doesn’t take sides, maybe Christianity could actually become a positive influence for the spiritual and moral evolution and the common good and well-being of our planet." ~ Chuck F. Cleric: War Domain (5.5e)
War has many manifestations. It can make heroes of ordinary people. It can be desperate and horrific, with acts of cruelty and cowardice eclipsing instances of excellence and courage. Clerics who tap into the magic of the War Domain excel in battle, inspiring others to fight the good fight or offering acts of violence as prayers.
Gods of the War Domain watch over warriors and reward them for their great deeds. They include champions of honor and chivalry as well as gods of destruction and pillage. Other war gods take a more neutral stance, promoting war in all its manifestations and supporting warriors in any circumstance.
Level 3 Guided Strike: When you or a creature within 30 feet of you misses with an attack roll, you can expend one use of Channel Divinity and give that roll a +10 bonus, potentially causing it to hit. When you use this feature to benefit another creature’s attack roll, you must take a Reaction to do so.
Level 3 War Priest: As a Bonus Action, you can make one attack with a weapon or an Unarmed Strike. You can use this Bonus Action a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a Short or Long Rest.
Level 3 War Domain Spells: Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready. When you reach a Cleric level specified below you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared. (spells are listed at the end)
Level 3: Guiding Bolt, Magic Weapon, Shield of Faith and Spiritual Weapon.
Level 5: Crusader's Mantle and Spirit Guardians.
Level 7: Fire Shield and Freedom of Movement
Level 9: Hold Monster and Steel Wind Strike
Level 6 War God's Blessing: You can expend a use of Channel Divinity to cast Shield of Faith or Spiritual Weapon rather than expending a spell slot. When you cast either spell in this way, the spell doesn’t require Concentration. Instead the spell lasts for 1 minute, but it ends early if you cast that spell again, are Incapacitated or die.
Level 17 Avatar of Battle: You gain Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage.

On a hit, the target takes Force damage equal to 1d8 plus your spellcasting ability modifier.
As a Bonus Action on your later turns, you can move the force up to 20 feet and repeat the attack against a creature within 5 feet of it.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: The damage increases by 1d8 for every slot level above 2.
Crusader's Mantle is a level 3 Evocation spell unique to Paladin. Casting Time is 1 action Range is Self Requires a Verbal Component Duration is Concentration up to 1 minute.
You radiate a magical aura in a 30-foot Emanation. While in the aura, you and your allies each deal an extra 1d4 Radiant damage when hitting with a weapon or an Unarmed Strike.
Spirit Guardians is a level 3 Conjuration spell unique to Cleric. Casting Time is 1 action Range is Self Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and spell ingredient is a prayer scroll Duration is Concentration up to 10 minutes.
Protective spirits flit around you in a 15-foot Emanation for the duration. If you are good or neutral, their spectral form appears angelic or fey (your choice). If you are evil, they appear fiendish.
When you cast this spell, you can designate creatures to be unaffected by it. Any other creature’s Speed is halved in the Emanation, and whenever the Emanation enters a creature’s space and whenever a creature enters the Emanation or ends its turn there, the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 Radiant damage (if you are good or neutral) or 3d8 Necrotic damage (if you are evil). On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. A creature makes this save only once per turn.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: The damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 3.
Fire Shield is a level 4 Evocation spell for Druid Sorcerer and Wizard. Casting Time is 1 action Range is self Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and spell ingredient is a bit of phosphorous or a firefly. Duration is 10 minutes.

The flames provide you with a warm shield or a chill shield, as you choose. The warm shield grants you Resistance to Cold damage, and the chill shield grants you Resistance to Fire damage.
In addition, whenever a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack roll, the shield erupts with flame. The attacker takes 2d8 Fire damage from a warm shield or 2d8 Cold damage from a chill shield.
Freedom of Movement is a level 4 Abjuration spell for Bard Cleric Druid and Ranger. Casting Time is 1 action Range is Touch Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and spell ingredient is a leather strap and Duration is 1 hour.
You touch a willing creature. For the duration, the target’s movement is unaffected by Difficult Terrain, and spells and other magical effects can neither reduce the target’s Speed nor cause the target to have the Paralyzed or Restrained conditions. The target also has a Swim Speed equal to its Speed.
In addition, the target can spend 5 feet of movement to automatically escape from nonmagical restraints, such as manacles or a creature imposing the Grappled condition on it.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: You can target one additional creature for each spell slot level above 4.
Hold Monster is a level 5 Enchantment spell for Bard Sorcerer Warlock and Wizard. Casting Time is 1 action Range is 90 feet Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and spell ingredient is a straight piece of iron. Duration is a Concentration up to 1 minute.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: You can target one additional creature for each spell slot level above 5.
Steel Wind Strike is a brand new level 5 Conjuration spell for Ranger and Wizard. Casting Time is 1 action Range is 30 feet Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and spell ingredient a Melee weapon worth at least 1 copper piece Duration is Instantaneous.
You flourish the weapon used in the casting and then vanish to strike like the wind. Choose up to five creatures you can see within range. Make a melee spell attack against each target. On a hit, a target takes 6d10 Force damage.
You then teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of one of the targets.
