Clown: Complete crack au where detective Shinichi Kudo (detective conan) is a TV personality turned into an actual detective and also shuichi's uncle. For no other reason than I want kokichi to find out and it just be this,

Sorry shuichi this detective obsession precedents his tween years He has posters Me: they play chess through facebook, uncle mentions it off-handedly during dinner to Shuichi like "you know, one of your friends invited me to friends on facebook, and we've been playing chess lately" Shuichi, not having to ask which of his friend is it: can you not? Uncle: why not? he's a good opponent Shuichi: head in hands

Kokichi: can I come over? Shuichi: sure, uncle's not home right now- Kokichi: oh [3 pensive emojis] okay

springbug: does shuichi get a bit jealous? me: a little, I imagine they aren't dating as this is happening, but he's like, "I am a detective too, hmpf", he's mostly just tortured because it's his uncle it's just gross that his friend has the hots for his father figure! and it should be acknowledged that he does "cool detective stuff" too!! They both do what any detective does, his uncle is not a character from your manga, Kokichi!! and he totally has no underlying, repressed feelings springbug: he can wear cool detective clothes and can solve cases… why doesnt HE get to play chess with kokichi?? me: one day they + perhaps one or two other classmates work on a school project at Shuichi's house and it takes so long that his uncle comes back and he offers them to join them for dinner since it got so late, and Kokichi would not decline that under any circumstances, so Shuichi is subjected to listening to Kokichi make polite conversation with his uncle. What Uncle gets from it is: Ouma is trying to make a good impression on him, Shuichi is acting unusual, being weird around Kokichi. He clocks Shuichi's repressed crush, but with no context for Kokichi's behaviour he just thinks that something is happening between saiou. And, you know, he's supportive "He's a nice young man, I can see why you like him" hits Shuichi like the spears of Gungnir while they're cleaning up once Kokichi left for the night springbug: he truly forgot his uncle was a world class detective and he thought he could get away with hiding his feelings Clown: He can always just fess up and throw kokichi under the bus but one embarasment outweighs the other He's accepted his fate springbug: shuichi will forever be playing chess against a bot and not kokichi [pensive emoji] me: meanwhile, Kokichi who's just enjoying tormenting Shuichi, but also thinking about how how he'll be when he's older (because he's already so similar to his uncle) and getting by on the logic that he has no chances but what he saw is his: ogling them detectives springbug: omg kokichi noticing the little changes as they get older like shuichi getting sharper jawline, deeper voice, TALLER… the only thing on his mind is just "boy pretty." me: I don't get the enthusiasm for tallness but yeah springbug: i just think kokichi would be kinda jealous cuz he didnt grow much lol, maybe he used to be taller than shuichi but boom, growth spurt dallas: shuichi being 5’0 and kokichi holding an inch over him like it’s the last bottle of water in a desert as shuichi slowly gets taller over the years and he just sulks about it in his head because things were looking so bright me: oh yeah, I share that hc, it's just so funny to think he's been the tallest in elementary school. and then others got their height spurts in their teens except for him there's this moment circa 8th grade maybe? around that age when boys just shoot up like trees, most of them, but not all, those who do are pretty sudden tho, it happens fast, so he just watches them surpass him one by one his reign is over… springbug: each person he sees the next day that got taller is like a slap in the face "surely kaito won't be taller than 4'11" turns out to be 6'0 "ok but rantaro-" turns out to be 5'10" "there's NO WAY miu will be taller than me-" turns out to be 5'8 me: "at least there's always Ryoma-" long Hoshi sleep paralysis demon in Kokichi's room at 3AM Beez: he gets betrayed by kiibo too…… its only by like 2 inches but still Clown: Kiibo asked for the height increase specifically to spite him He didn't care how tall the professor made him as long as it was taller than kokichi me: Kiibo got shin extensions with extra hard armour because he knew Kokichi is going to kick them when he sees

Biting Bugs: What you need to know about protecting you and your pet!

Spring and summer mean more time spent outside and more exposure to insect-borne diseases.

Mosquitos: They carry heartworm larva which can infect your dog and your cat causing disease of the heart and lungs. In an early 2019 report by the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC), Fort Collins ranked seventh among U.S. cities with the highest percentage increase in heartworm-positive pets. Heartworm is treatable in affected pets, but the treatment is lengthy, pricey, and is potentially risky. It the disease is left untreated, it can be fatal. We recommend administration of year-round heartworm preventive medications. This is far more effective, safe, and affordable than treatment of the disease.

Ticks: There are many species of ticks out there and many of them can transmit disease humans, cats, and dogs. The most common tick in our area is the Rocky Mountain wood tick. This tick has been known to transmit Colorado tick fever, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, or tularemia to humans. This tick as well as others in our area may transmit Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and tularemia and to your dog or cat. Tick paralysis can also occur when this tick bites your dog or cat.  And just when you didn’t think things could get any worse, ticks are spreading across the country and the world, invading areas where they had not been seen before including the Asian Longhorned Tick which is an invasive tick from East Asia that has become established in several areas of the United States. We recommend use of a tick preventative year-round as some species of ticks like to live indoors and some have been found alive outside in the middle of winter. If you travel with your pet or use doggie daycares or boarding facilities, we also recommend year-round use of a tick preventative.

Fleas: In addition to flea bites causing irritating red bumps and itching on you and your pet, they can also transmit serious diseases to you and your pet including plague (Yersinia pestis), tapeworms (intestinal parasite), Bartonella, Mycoplasma, and others. We recommend use of a flea preventative year-round as fleas love to live inside your home once they are brought in by your pet. If you travel with your pet or use doggie daycares or boarding facilities, we also recommend year-round use of a flea preventative.

Ves: kokichi's grubby little baby hands are very small to be warming up shuuichi's but the sheer force of his blush can make up for it, actually space heater boy

Me: I do think Kokichi is a space heater wholeheartedly. and that his fingers are nimble and flexible, he has a lot more tricks than just lockpicking. so they're not that small and stubby to me. but yes, they're soft and warm, while Shuichi is a bony guy

Springbug:

Me: technically, it could go both ways, but I feel like it's skewed towards Shuichi being A and Kokichi being B, Kokichi is very touchy, he would PDA constantly if it was okay with Shu, and if he has his clown family he's not nearly as touch starved as Shuichi who probably didn't have friends before being forcibly adopted by the extroverts of their cast Ves: i was thinking the reverse but u make a good case for ur vision… Me: the models for A & B make it look like the reverse to a point where I feel deja vu and wonder if I didn't see a fanart with those expressions but for the dynamic I do believe that Shu is more touch starved, and touch is the easiest love language for Kokichi to show he's probably been sleeping in a pile with his clowns, he has to re-learn what personal space is when with other people, Shuichi could never Ves: shuuichi got a hug from his uncle and thought about it for multiple months however once the floodgates r broken all previous messages still apply. he WILL be resting his entire weight on top of kokichi's fragile twink bones Me: yeah once they're at the stage of a relationship when they sleepover often & comfortably (or live together) Shuichi's snugglebug gene gets activated, the cuddle monster awakens all of a sudden and he's here to stay (as long as it's in the privacy of their chambers)
