Greetings, slasher community! This is my first work featuring our delicious psychos, unless you count my platonic Pennywise multi chap (I know he's not technically a slasher, but still). Hopefully, I've covered most of them♥️

Disclaimer?: I didn't do Art the Clown because I haven't watched Terrifier yet –but trust me, once I do, I'm sure it'll turn into an unhealthy obsession. Accept my apologies for now.

Michael Myers 🏠🎃

The living room is silent except for the audio of Scream playing on the TV. You're lounging on the couch, mindlessly watching -until Michael, standing by the wall like a shadow, suddenly pauses the screen.

You blink. "Uh… what?"

Michael remains completely still as he observes the paused frame. A frame of you mid-sprint in the background of the classic horror movie, being chased by Ghostface. Anyone else would argue about whether that's really you, but Michael already knows. He's seen you move like this before. Maybe he's even chased you this way.

Without a word, he switches discs. He presses forward on the console.

And there you are -blurry in the background of a trick-or-treating scene in some other horror media, dressed as a generic babysitter, chatting with another actress. It's barely a second of screen time.

Michael turns his masked face toward you, his posture unreadable.

You shrug. "I needed money. It was just background gigs."

He keeps staring.

Stalker mode: activated.

Jason Voorhees ⛺🪓

You're leaning against his shoulder, a throw blanket draped over both of you.

Jason tilts his head, then turns to you, then back at the screen, then to you again.

If he could speak, he'd be asking "When was this?"

If he cared about emotions, he'd be offended.

You've been in so many slasher movies and never once did you mention it... Are you okay? Have you been running from psychos your whole life? He's almost worried about you.

Expect some extra protective hovering and a machete presented as a gift of comfort.

Freddy Krueger 🔥🌙

"Oh-ho-ho! Look at you, Hollywood! Running for your life again! What's your IMBD looking like, sweetheart? Professional Screamer?"

Freddy cackles, pausing and rewinding just to enjoy your panicked face.

"Damn, you're good. Ever considered coming to MY movies?" He waggles his claws at you. "Bet I could give you some real nightmare material." He's joking. Mostly. But you might want to lock your bedroom door tonight.

Ghostface (in general) 📞🔪

The moment your familiar figure flashes across the screen, Ghostface pauses the movie so fast the remote nearly cracks in his grip.

"Well, well, well… what do we have here?" His voice drips with amusement, though there's a sharp edge of something else... Interest? Possessiveness? A touch of jealousy? Hard to say.

He leans forward, taking in every detail. "You didn't tell me you were in Scream, getting killed by other Ghostfaces -or Halloween, or Friday the 13th, or literally every horror movie ever made.... Even in Child's Play?!"

He clicks his tongue, pretending to be offended. "And here I thought we had something special."

His gloved fingers tap against your thigh as he considers. "So, do you always run from killers, or are you just playing hard to get?"

A chuckle follows, dark and playful. "You know, I could give you a much more… hands-on experience than any of these amateurs."

He lets the movie roll again, but now he's watching you, not the film. "Final girl, background character, victim... Doesn't matter. You'll always be my favorite scream queen."

Leatherface 🪚🌾

Leatherface watches in silence. A chainsaw in his lap, forgotten.

He doesn't understand movies too well, but he does understand that's you being chased by someone who isn't him.

Excuse me?

You let someone else do the chasing? And you never told him?

Next thing you know, he's pacing, huffing under his breath. Expect extra possessiveness and a LOT of lingering looks.

Also, if that actor playing Ghostface suddenly goes missing… you know nothing.

The Grabber (Albert Shaw) 🎩🎭

The room is dimly lit, the glow of the TV flickering against the walls as A Nightmare on Elm Street plays. He turns to you, eyes glinting behind the sockets of his signature mask. A low chuckle rumbles from his throat. "Look at that."

His voice is smooth, almost teasing. "You're so good at being scared."

He fixates on the screen, watching the way your body moves, the way you fight to survive. Something about it simply delights him.

"You know, you'd look even better in my basement" he muses, his tone almost affectionate. "No cameras. No audience. Just you and me."

His gloved fingers tap against the armrest. "I wonder if you'd last as long as they let you in the movies…"

Then, suddenly, he laughs -light, breathy, as if the thought genuinely amuses him. "Maybe, you'd last even longer... If I want you to."

Pennywise (1990) 🎈🍿

Bob Gray is having the time of his life watching you in all these horror movies. He's laughing, cackling, absolutely thriving.

"Y'know, I could've given you real horrors to perform, kiddo!" His grin stretches wide. "And that running? Pfft! Amateur work! You should see how kids run from me!"

"Oh-ho! There you are again, kiddo! Look at you run! And run! And run some more! Boy, you really know how to make a monster work for it!"

But then, he sees him. His replacement. His knock-off.

The smile fades. He leans forward, elbows on his knees, squinting at the screen like a father seeing his daughter bring home the wrong guy.

"You've got to be kidding me."

"Look at this guy. Thinks he's scary." He flicks a dismissive palm at the screen. "Ooooh, I'm tall! Ooooh, I drool all over myself! Ooooh, I wear frilly clown pants like I just crawled out of a Victorian nightmare!"

He turns to you, voice dripping with sarcasm. "You fought this guy?"

A wheezing laugh escapes him. "Honey, you downgraded! Big time!"

"He tastes fear? Kiddo, I invented that shit. He's just doing a cheap impression of yours truly. And let's not even talk about that goofy-ass head-tilt he does."

He jerks his head side to side in an exaggerated impression. "What's the matter, buddy? Need a chiropractor?"

With a smirk, he throws an arm around you, pulling you close like some sleazy salesman. "Listen, sweetheart, if you really wanna be haunted by a clown, why not go with the original? Hmm?"

His sharp teeth flash you a smile. "I'm funnier. I'm nastier. And I won't just stand there like some awkward mime in oversized shoes."

Pennywise (2017) 🎪🩸

Pennywise watches, slowly tilting his head. Then tilting it more. And more.

"You run so well" he purrs, voice thick with amusement. "You know… I could chase you better."

He grins, showing sharp teeth. "Would you like to practice?"

Is he joking? Is he serious? It doesn't matter.

The moment he spots you in IT -in a grainy, VHS quality shot of Derry- his entire body stiffens. Then, his gloved fingers start twitching against his knees. His lips part in something between a sneer and a pout.

"You… you were in his movie?" His voice drops into a guttural growl. His yellow eyes flick between you and the screen, utterly insulted. "That knockoff? That circus reject?"

For a moment, he says nothing. Just stares.

Then, suddenly, he bursts into shrill, mocking laughter. "Ahaha! Oh, I get it! You were doing charity work!"

He claps his hands together, the sound unnerving.

"Helping the less fortunate! That's just so sweet of you!"

He stops laughing a little too abruptly. He looms closer now, voice dipping into something almost sultry, eyes gleaming in the flickering light.

"Tell me, little star…" His grin is wide, impossibly sharp.

"Did he taste you, too?" His head jerks to the side with a sickening crack. "Or were you saving yourself for someone better?"

Before you can answer, his arms snap around you, yanking you into his lap. His breath, hot and damp, ghosts over your throat.

"You're mine now" he coos, teeth just barely grazing your skin.

"My movie. My horror. My little leading lady." His grip tightens possessively.

William Afton (Book Version) 🐰🔦

Book Afton doesn't just watch the screen.

He studies it.

Cold, calculating eyes track every movement you make, every scream, every desperate attempt to escape. The slight twitch of his lips is the only sign of amusement -well, that and the way his fingers tighten around his armrest just a little too hard.

"All those killers" he murmurs, voice as smooth as velvet. "And yet, you always slip through their fingers. Fascinating."

His smile is thin, mirthless. "I wonder… is it luck that keeps you alive, dear girl?"

His fingers reach out, slow, deliberate, tracing a ghost of a touch on your wrist.

"Or instinct?"

His eyes glint dangerously. "I'd like to find out."

And then, he moves.

One second, he's across the couch. The next? You're caged against the armrest, his breath chilling your skin.

"You scream so pretty for them." His voice dips lower, like he's enjoying the chase. "Let's see how pretty you scream for me."

William Afton (Game Version) 👾📺

"We do love a good game of chase in this establishment." He smirks tiredly, tapping his fingers against the desk. "Perhaps you'd like a private audition?"

That's a yes whether you like it or not.

"Hah" he exhales, voice deep, rich and unmistakably British. "Now, that's just precious."

His pale eyes dilate as he watches you on his computer screen, just another background character in a slasher film. "You're terrified, aren't you?" His smirk grows. "And yet, you survived. Brave, little thing."

He clicks his tongue, straightening.

"You know…" he begins, casual, like talking about the weather. "Slashers today are so messy. Bloody, predictable, boring…"

His fingers flex, like he's imagining them wrapped around something. "But me? I was crafted for this. A mind sharper than any knife, a body that refuses to die…"

His smirk sharpens, dark amusement flickering in his irises. "And of course... I don't just chase, darling. I build my nightmares."

He watches your reaction, drinking it in. "Animatronics, trap rooms, hidden passageways… There's no running when the entire building is designed to keep you in."

A low chuckle escapes him. "Now… wouldn't that be fun?

"Oh? No, no, darling! I'm not going to hurt you... I thought you'd be impressed by... this. By my brilliance. Can we at least have a drink later?"

William Afton (Movie Version) 🍕🗃️

Afton watches in eerie silence.

"Hmm."

His expression is unreadable, but you can feel the gears turning in his head. "You have a habit of escaping things, don't you?"

A pause. Then, a half smirk.

"How interesting." He doesn't say more, but from that day on, you swear he watches you just a little too closely. Maybe you shouldn't have let him see that.

"Ohh, now we're talking!" William practically purrs, leaning back on the couch with an easy grin.

"Look at you! Little horror darling. Final girl energy, but still gets caught. Mmm, chef's kiss."

He actually makes the gesture, grinning at the screen like a director admiring his finest work.

Then, his expression shifts. Turns sharper. Hungrier

"But you know, sweetheart… these guys? Hack jobs." He gestures lazily at the killers on-screen.

"Me? I play for keeps."

His fingers trail down your arm, slow, teasing. "Never made you wonder if the monster really wanted to hurt you… or just wanted to keep you?"

He laughs, the sound warm, playful -dangerous.

Slender Man 🌲🚫

The static hums through the speakers before the screen distorts. The lights flicker. Something in the air shifts... and you know before even turning your head -he's watching.

Slender Man stands in the shadows, unmoving, unreadable. He has no eyes, no expression, no face -and yet, the pressure of his gaze coils around you like an unseen force. A protecting one, to your relief.

You appear on the screen, a fleeting glimpse -a background figure, passing through some darkened corridor in a forgotten horror film. His head tilts, impossibly slow, almost… curious.

A long limb raises, fingers tapering into nothingness. He reaches -not toward the screen, but toward you.

The images on the television distort again. The signal is lost, replaced by static.

A silent message. A warning.

Or an invitation.

Then, the shadows stretch. The dark pools at the edges of the room, deepening, swallowing the corners. The walls feel further away than they should be.

A whisper brushes the nape of your neck, though no words are spoken.

[Trigger warning]: Mentions of death and body horror.

This post is about my understanding of William Afton's possession of the Springbonnie suit!

One of the very few headcanons that I have is that, after his death, William Afton possessed both the Yellow Suit and his own corpse. It was more of an obligation rather than a choice. If he wanted to move around as Springtrap, he needed to bear the excruciating pain. Possessing a corpse meant striving to become "alive" again.

That probably explains why his body didn't fully decompose, even after 30 years: because his soul continuously struck it with jolts of energy, forcing the severely damaged tissue to function under awful conditions (cell membranes rupture and spill their contents after death, but they were forced back together). Here's an illustration:

To me, Springtrap didn't die once or twice, nor a third time. He died thousands and thousands of times and kept on coming back.

"I always come back."

The springlocks weren't the only cause of his suffering. It was the hunger, thirst, lack of oxygen, sleep deprivation, and subsequent infections, paired up with the psychological effects of it all.

OKAY THE AU GUIDE IS FINALLY DONE. it's very long so it's going under read more. there will probably be edits added at some point bc things keep changing

AU INFO

This version combines the characters of the original Rebornica AU, the canon FNAF lore, and a lot of bullshit I made up because I like having fun. The canon FNAF lore is mostly in place, though some of it is delayed until later in the timeline.

The AU takes place in the modern day instead of the 1980s-2000s. The new pizzeria is in the same location as the FNAF 1 location, but it’s decades later and there’s new animatronics: The Rockstar animatronics + Rockstar Mangle, the Security Puppet, Balloon Boy and JJ. Corporate put all of the budget into them so that they’d have experimental AI personalities and be able to react and respond to things independently + in character (like the animatronics in Security Breach). During the day, they act like they’re alive, though at night the ghosts of the dead children interfere with their programming and use them as vessels to go after the guards. They also contain reused parts of the animatronics before them, and so they have some vague residual memories of their past iterations, though they feel more like dreams.

The ghosts of the missing children are not fully conscious and are missing a lot of their memories, including who killed them. They know it was an adult, and vaguely suspect it was a security guard, but really they would attack any adult if they were there at night. They tend to react very negatively to the color purple, and on Vincent’s night shifts will go after him harder than the others, though they aren’t conscious of why. Since they’re mainly running on instinct and emotion, they can’t put the pieces together of what happened to them.

William and Vincent are not the same person, and neither are Mike Schmidt and Michael Afton. Additionally, Jeremy, Fritz and Phone Guy exist in the present day instead of the 80s-90s.

The guards also have different ages compared to the og AU, and are all within a 10 year age span.

The couples that are canon are Mike/Doll and Chris/Vixen, also Vincent and Mahogany are exes. I know ppl want that purplephone yaoi but I think the original dynamic they have where Vincent has a weird sexual crush on Scott and Scott prays that he dies every night before bed is too compelling to give up. Also I want that purple guy but we aren’t getting into that here

There’s 3 humanoid species in this au: Humans (Mike, Chris, Fritz, Doll, Boss, Mahogany), Phonies (Scott), and Huemans (GET IT GET IT GET IT. anyways Vincent, Vincent’s parents, William Afton, Michael Afton). As for Jeremy, umm I’m not totally sure what his deal is but he is a human, just like a strange subsection of human. Listen there’s not a lot of logic going on I’m just working with the cards I’ve been dealt

LORE GUIDE

All of the FNAF lore is just about the same until William Afton’s death. After the FNAF 2 restaurant, instead of dismantling the animatronics and being trapped inside of Springtrap, William Afton decided to lay low for a while. During this time period, his younger half brother and his wife were killed (who could’ve done that?), and as the closest living relative, William ended up reluctantly adopting Vincent, their 8 year old son. It turns out Vincent has the same murderous tendencies, and so William takes him under his wing, teaching him both about murder and the animatronics.

 William took him to the 2000s iteration of the original Freddy’s location a lot. There, Vincent met Mahogany, who was there a lot since her dad owned it, and they became friends. On one occasion, Vincent met Mike and tricked him into going up to Foxy, which led to Mike being bitten, which damagedmhis frontal lobe. The Schmidts and Fazbear Entertainment settled out of court, and all of the money Mike’s family won went to his medical bills.

William and Vincent lived well together as a weird freaky family unit for years until William eventually decided to finally go and dismantle the animatronics. After destroying them, he was cornered by the spirits and killed inside of Springtrap in the safe room. The spirits were freed and passed on, and the room was boarded up without anyone finding William’s body. 

With his uncle suddenly missing, Vincent had to drop out of school and get his GED in order to become independent and avoid the foster system. Him and Mahogany started dating, and she accidentally got pregnant. Vincent didn’t want the baby because he was 18 and also already hated kids, but Mahogany decided to keep the baby, so they ended up breaking up and settled into a friends with benefits situation instead while Vincent was also an absent father to Violet, their daughter.

After a few years of goofing off and living off his inheritance, Vincent finally started seriously looking for his uncle and got a job with Mahogany’s help at Freddy’s as a security guard. A lot of sneaking around later, and he found Springtrap in the boarded off safe room. Him and his uncle were finally reunited, but William was very pissy about the whole “I’ve been dead inside this suit for years and you never found me” situation and Vincent’s an asshole so he started teasing him about it. Ultimately, Vincent realized that his uncle was a lost cause and now it was his turn to continue his legacy, so he ditched William there to go kill people.

Soon after, Scott got hired to replace the other security guard, and so him and Vincent alternated between day and night shifts week by week. They didn’t see each other super often because of this, but when they did, they got along well. That was until Vincent developed a crazy psychosexual crush on Scott and scared the shit out of him to the point that Scott started avoiding him.

Mike at that point had just barely managed to graduate high school. His brain damage caused him a lot of issues that had made school difficult, and as Mike started trying to find and keep a job, he found that those same issues were affecting that too. After meeting Doll again and successfully getting them to go out with him, Mike pushed himself harder to retain a job so that he would be able to treat them well. Still, he struggled to find steady work due to his lack of experience and intolerance to the poor working conditions he often found himself in.

Mahogany brought Violet to Freddy’s frequently and would sometimes leave her there if she had something important to do since she figured it was safe. Vincent, being a shit dad, avoided her like the plague. It was very awkward when they interacted, especially since he was somehow dodging child support for years at that point. By the time she was 8 and he was 26, Vincent had already become a full fledged serial killer, but he still hadn’t fulfilled his duty to continue his uncle’s legacy and perform a copycat killing. Eventually, he decided to kill two birds with one stone. He tricked Violet into bringing her friends into the Parts and Services room, where he then drugged them and put them into the suits, which killed them when activated. Eventually Vincent did remove the bodies from the animatronics since he knew that they would inevitably be found if he kept them there, but the gruesome deaths imprinted the children’s ghosts to the respective animatronics they died in. The bodies were never found and Vincent was never caught, but the restaurant did shut down for a while due to the missing kids. Mahogany also stopped talking to Vincent after seeing how apathetic he seemed to be about Violet’s death, though she did not suspect him.

After the press coverage of the missing children settled down, Boss reopened the pizzeria with significantly more security and hired Mike, Jeremy and Fritz. Chris was also hired at the reopening since the other janitor quit. The hope was that the added security would bring customers back, and while many did return, some were lost to the competing Chuck E Cheese down the road.

Now the five guards change shifts on a weekly basis, with four working various areas of the pizzeria during the day shift and one working the night shift.

The ghosts of the children are confused, but also have realized how to override the animatronics’ AI and use them as vessels. They tend to go dormant during the day to preserve energy, though at night they go after whoever is on duty. The animatronics themselves do not remember what they do when possessed and are very confused why the guards don’t like them/are scared of them.

MIKE SCHMIDT

Mike is 26, uses he/him, and is a cis man + pansexual

He stays at Freddy’s because it’s the best job he can get and hold. His partner, Doll, is the main breadwinner, and while Mike doesn’t mind that, he does want to contribute as much as he can financially.

Typically, Mike appears to be very irritable and unfriendly. However, while he does have a temper, he is actually pretty outgoing and gets along well with a lot of his coworkers,  even those that piss him off (Scott and Vincent). Mike also enjoys puns and pranks, much to his coworkers’ dismay.

In his free time, Mike enjoys collecting Pokemon and baseball cards. He also goes to the gym on his days off. Mike wishes he had more free time so he could volunteer at an animal rescue, but right now he’s got a lot going on.

As a child, Mike was bitten by the older Foxy animatronic and sustained damage to his frontal lobe that resulted in him struggling with his emotional regulation, impulsivity and short attention span. Because of this, Mike did very poorly in school and struggled to keep a job before working at Freddy’s. His brain suppressed the memory of the attack and he doesn’t know that he was bitten at the same place he works, nor that Vincent was the reason it happened, but his hatred of Foxy stems from the subconscious memory of the bite.

Mike loves Jeremy, even if he isn’t the most outwardly affectionate with him. He’s one of the reasons Mike stayed at the job, since he was so worried about Jeremy’s safety. Over time, they’ve grown very close, and Mike sees him as a younger brother. While not as close, Mike is also very good friends with Chris, and feels a certain kind of everyman kinship with him, like they can sit around and talk about how weird and ridiculous everything is together. His relationship with Vincent is a bit more complicated, he’s like his shitty annoying freaky friend that he hates but also likes hanging out with. He’s the one that Mike goes to the bar with even though Vincent doesn’t even drink and sometimes gets him to do stupid shit. Him and Fritz are chill, although he has trouble following what he’s talking about sometimes and often has to stop him from actively putting himself in danger with the animatronics. To him, Fritz is definitely the most normal of all of the other guards, though. Scott pisses him off because he tells him about people dying in the restaurant all the time. Also, Mike’s first week was night shift and when he heard the fourth night’s tape he thought Scott died, and when he saw Scott the next week on day shift and found out he just had to get a couple stitches he totally freaked out on him. As time has gone on and he’s gotten to know Scott more, he’s tried to be more patient with him.

Mike is engaged to Doll and is absolutely head over heels with them. The two went to high school together but never really talked. They officially started talking at the library Doll used to work at, and he began going and pretending to read just so he could talk to them. Eventually, he worked up the nerve to ask them out, and they happily agreed. For a while, Mike struggled with insecurities in their relationship, mainly that he saw himself as not good enough or smart enough for Doll. Impulsively, he broke up with them, but quickly realized he made a mistake and fixed things. Five years later, they’re finally engaged and live together in Doll’s late grandmother’s house. Over time, Mike’s insecurities have dwindled, though his main concern now is that something may happen to him on the night shift. The two would like to have a baby once they’re married, but Mike wants to make sure he’ll be there for his family and not in a suit. For now, they’re considering a dog.

Originally, Mike HATED working at Freddy’s. However, as he’s gotten to know his coworkers and learned how to handle the night shift, he’s slowly grown to tolerate it. The animatronics still piss him off and he doesn’t like having to drag kids off of the stage, but it pays better than other jobs he’s had and at least his coworkers are kind of fun.

Mike has accidentally fallen face first into the secrets of the pizzeria. When he first got hired, he thought it was just a job he’d have to deal with for the paycheck. Now he goes to bed thinking about how there’s definitely ghosts and also the animatronics might be gaining sentience. However, Mike is not the most articulate guy, and so whenever he tries to tell anyone about his theories, he just sounds really nuts. Chris is his go to guy for crazy talk since he’s the most level headed of everyone at Freddy’s and will sit through his often nonsensical rants.

He is a pissy asshole at work but then he goes home and sees Doll and goes puppy mode. That man can act as macho as he wants but he is very soft for Doll

Mike doesn’t have a favorite animatronic (he hates them all), and his least favorite is Rockstar Foxy.

JEREMY FITZGERALD

Jeremy is 20, uses he/him, and is a cis man + aroace

Despite being terrified of his job, Jeremy stays on because he needs the money to afford rent and his online asynchronous college courses.

Jeremy’s already anxious demeanor is amplified at Fazbear’s, where the screaming children and murderous animatronics do nothing to soothe his nerves. He tends to be shy when first meeting people and takes time to open up to others, though when he does, Jeremy is a very kind and considerate friend.

His schedule is usually hectic between his job and his classes, but in between, he loves watching anime, collecting manga and figurines, doing arts and crafts, and occasionally streaming himself playing games. He really loves Sailor Moon, Vocaloid, and Sanrio.

When Jeremy first met Mike, he was scared of him, but as he got to know Mike and understand him better, he came to see him as an older brother/protector. Since Fritz and Chris are the closest to his age, Jeremy tends to hang out with them a lot. He relies on Scott for help a lot of the time and appreciates his assistance, but also is kind of intimidated by him since he’s so tall and has seniority. As for Vincent, he’s scared of him, but occasionally they can find common ground.

Jeremy isn’t originally from the area, but moved from another state to get away from his father. Originally, he struggled to make rent and feed himself, but after working at Freddy’s and meeting Fritz, the two moved into a new apartment together. Now Jeremy can make rent and has enough left over to take online college classes. Jeremy appreciates that Fritz will watch his shows with him, and in return he does his best to help with Fritz’s furby customizations.

Despite being scared of the other animatronics, Jeremy absolutely adores the Security Puppet. He thinks it’s absolutely adorable and he spends a lot of his day watching it. Jeremy has a soft spot for clowns and porcelain dolls, so the Puppet’s design is absolutely perfect to him.

He finds a lot of comfort in “girly” things since his experiences with masculinity growing up were very negative. When in new environments or when meeting new people, he tends to be a little shy about this aspect of himself. Thankfully the pizzeria’s environment is one where he feels safe to openly talk about his interests. Jeremy also tends to be very nervous around hypermasculine men, though his friendship with Mike has helped him work on managing those anxieties.

It’s not to the same extreme as Vincent’s love of toast, but Jeremy does really like lemons and lemon flavored things.

Jeremy’s favorite animatronic is the Security Puppet, and his least favorite is Rockstar Chica.

FRITZ SMITH

Fritz is 22, uses he/him, and is a trans man + aroace

Out of all of the guards, Fritz is the most enthusiastic about his job. He loves the animatronics, even if they try to kill him all the time. He rationalizes it as their security programming, and how can he be mad at them for that?

Fritz is a friendly guy, though he does have some trouble navigating conversations without relying on his interests for discussion topics. He finds that the animatronics are easier to talk to since he doesn’t have to worry about the same social cues and norms as he does with real people. Typically, he tends to get caught up in the fun atmosphere of the pizzeria, and his love of the characters and arcade games can often distract him from his actual job as a security guard.

Luckily for Fritz, his special interest in robotics— especially the Fazbear Entertainment animatronics— is a part of his job. He does mainly collect and study Fazbear related things, but he isn’t fully loyal to the brand, and does also enjoy Chuck E Cheese, though he’d never tell his coworkers that. He also enjoys video games and collecting furbies.

Fritz mainly hangs out with Jeremy and Chris since he has the most in common with them. Him and Vincent both know a lot about the Fazbear Entertainment franchise and its history, but Vincent’s tendency to refute Fritz’s statements with uncited sources irks him. Fritz appreciates Mike’s concern for his safety,  though he wishes he would trust him more with the animatronics. As for Scott, he thinks he’s a cool guy, even though Scott keeps telling him to get back to work when he’s stationed in the arcade.

After working at Freddy’s and meeting Jeremy, Fritz finally was able to move out of his parents’ house. Growing up with 5 sisters, living with Jeremy is a very nice change for him. Fritz usually cooks for both of them, and in return Jeremy drives him everywhere (Fritz can’t drive). On Jeremy’s night shift week, Fritz tends to sleep on the couch so he can make sure Jeremy gets home.

Fritz’s favorite animatronic is Rockstar Chica (she’s always been his favorite character), and his least favorites are Balloon Boy and JJ.

SCOTT

Scott is 30, uses he/him, and is a cis man + heteroromantic demisexual

He’s in the books as a security guard, but in reality he’s also had a management position thrust onto him since Boss can't be bothered to actually run his pizzeria and he refuses to pay a manager. He stays at Freddy’s because he’s been there for years at this point and he’s just kind of used to the terrible conditions.

Like the phone calls in the first two games, Scott comes off as awkward and a bit too nonchalant about the terrible and often morbid circumstances of the job. In fact, he has a strange fascination with Freddy Fazbear’s violent history, which often unnerves his coworkers. However, Scott does try to be friendly, even if he isn’t the most charismatic, and does his best to help his coworkers as much as he can.

Scott is politely and respectfully fighting gay allegations left and right. He likes cashmere sweaters and infinity scarves, he goes to a cooking class with a bunch of single moms once a week, he has a bonsai tree that he shapes, he drinks iced lattes and he watches The Real Housewives of New Jersey. However, to everyone’s surprise (Mike and Vincent especially), Scott is actually on the market for a girlfriend, and even goes on dates sometimes. Of course, Mike and Vincent wear disguises and spy on him in the restaurant, because what else would they do? NOT see what Scott is like on a date with a woman?

Scott’s an objecthead, so he’s biomechanical. His head is a functioning phone and works on the same pulse system as a regular rotary phone (reference below), it’s just also got some blood and nerves and brain in there. Think of the plastic exterior of the phone as like an external skull— if you touched it, it’d feel to him like if someone touched your tooth or something. There’s feeling, but it’s kind of dull. He talks out of the phone, but I like the idea that when he eats he unscrews the speaker part of the phone and that’s where the food goes. Let Scott be freaky 2025!!!

Vincent is Scott’s weird frenemy who he has been rejecting the advances of for years. They’ve been working together the longest, and are both Fazbear veterans, which has naturally made them gravitate to one another even if they don’t usually get along. Scott wants to be Mike’s friend, but finds that he’s always saying the wrong things to him without meaning to. Seeing as Jeremy and Fritz are significantly younger than him, Scott does feel the need to coddle them, even when they may not necessarily need it. It’s not that he thinks they’re incapable of doing it on their own so much as he projects his own anxieties onto them and as a result feels responsible for their safety and peace of mind.

Scott is fairly neutral about the animatronics. He doesn’t really resent them for trying to stuff him into a suit since he thinks it’s just their endoskeleton recognition malfunctioning, and while he is interested in their murderous tendencies, he certainly doesn’t like that they do that. He’s fine with interacting with them during the day shift, though.

Scott’s favorite animatronic is Rockstar Foxy, and his least favorite is the Security Puppet (he thinks it’s freaky looking).

VINCENT BISHOP

Vincent is 28, uses he/him, and is a genderqueer man, arospec + identifies as somewhere between gay and bi so he uses both labels

He’s worked at Freddy’s the longest at a whopping 7 years (since he was 21), so he knows the place like the back of his hand. Originally, he took the job in an effort to find his uncle after his disappearance, but after finding him in the sealed off back room, he decided to continue his uncle’s work at the new restaurant. He really hates the children, the noise and the crowds, but he can’t imagine working anywhere else.

It can often be difficult to understand Vincent due to how unpredictable he is. His moods change like the seasons, usually based on who he’s working with and how busy the restaurant is. Some days he is clingy, obnoxious and flirty, while other days he is standoffish and silent. What does stay consistent, though, is the aura of secrecy that surrounds him.

No one seems to know what Vincent’s hobbies are, and for good reason. After all, he does his best to keep his stalking, murdering and disemboweling under wraps. He does have some normal interests, though, and enjoys reading, journaling, and playing the piano. He also has an extensive collection of knives and vintage Fazbear merchandise.

Like Scott, Vincent isn’t a human, he’s a HUEman :D His all white eyes and teeth are visible in the dark, and he can see well in darkness. He’s also extremely flexible, even for what he is, and can turn his head 270 degrees like an owl. Freaky man yayayayayayay

Vincent tends to have very intense and destructive relationships with other people which in part is due to his tendency to see others as toys rather than people. Mike is the only person he considers a friend, even though he doesn’t regret tricking him into getting bit at all. He’s the closest thing Vincent has ever had to a normal relationship, and is the only person Vincent will hang out with voluntarily outside of work. Scott is a bit more complicated. They started as casual friends when Scott first got hired, but then Vincent developed a weird creepy interest in Scott that caused a huge rift between them. The intensity and creepiness of it has waned a bit over the years, but Vincent still makes it known that he is dtf. Him and Mahogany have a long history of dating, breaking up, being friends with benefits, and finally avoiding each other after Violet’s death, though Vincent does still try to hit on her sometimes to no avail. Jeremy and Fritz don’t really matter at all to him, but he does find them amusing to tease.

Overall, Vincent is not inclined to form connections with others. It’s much easier for him to study people from the sidelines— or sometimes the bushes— than to go through all of the work of trying to make them like him. Outside of work, he doesn’t talk to anyone (besides Mike) unless it’s part of some plan to kill them.

The only exception is Vincent’s uncle, who was the only person he ever really cared about. Since William was also a killer, Vincent developed a genuine love for his uncle and felt for the first and only time that he could be open with him. His best memories are of his childhood with his uncle, about learning from him and going to Freddy Fazbears together. However, William’s miserable state in Springtrap has made their relationship warp, and now Vincent sees him just as another toy.

Vincent doesn’t do anything that might make him inebriated (drinking, drug use) because he’s paranoid he’ll let something slip and get caught. When he goes to bars with Mike, he usually just drinks water.

Vincent’s favorite animatronic is Golden Freddy (he’s hidden him away in storage), and his least favorite is the Security Puppet (makes his murder plans harder).

CHRIS

Chris is 21, uses he/him, and is a trans man + gynosexual

Freddy’s isn’t his ideal job (he’d like to become a tattoo artist), but it pays for his student loans from art school. Still, he tries to see the bright side of the situation, and does his best to stay positive.

Overall, Chris is a chill guy, and is definitely the most normal one in that damn pizzeria. He’s not apathetic to the crazy shit going on, but he also doesn’t take it all that seriously. Sure, there may be killer animatronics and ghosts, but when he clocks out none of that is coming home with him. Of course, when Mike shows up on his doorstep with some batshit theory about the animatronics, he’s totally going to listen.

Chris enjoys drawing (usually either tattoo designs or comics), doing street art and skateboarding in his free time. He also listens to a lot of Weezer.

Mike is his work bestie, and Chris thinks he’s super amusing to hang out with. He also hangs out with Jeremy and Fritz a lot though since they’re around his age and chill enough. Chris doesn’t really interact much with Scott or Vincent, but from what Mike tells him they’re total weirdos.

Chris has a girlfriend named Vixen, but they don’t live together. He lives in a shitty apartment by himself.

Part of his job as janitor entails cleaning off Rockstar Mangle since part of her gimmick is that kids can draw on her with erasable markers. Sometimes it can be a pain, but Chris has also developed a love for Mangle as a result of the time they’ve spent together.

Chris’ favorite animatronic is Rockstar Mangle, and his least favorites are Balloon Boy and JJ.

DOLL SCHMIDT

Doll is 27, uses they/them, and is nonbinary + androsexual.

They work as an archivist at a museum.

They’ve encouraged Mike to quit his job in the past since he hated it and it was dangerous, but they eventually stopped pressing him when Mike stopped actively despising his job.

Doll has ankylosing spondylitis, which they use a walker for.

They went to Freddy’s a few times when they were younger for other people’s birthday parties, but haven't been there in 15 years or so. They’ve met all of Mike’s friends from work, though, and are always happy to have them come over to the house.

Doll thinks Mike is sooooooo cute <3 They love spoiling their trophy husband and taking care of him. Doll wears the pants in that relationship for sure

BOSS

Boss is 59, uses he/him, and is a cis man + straight.

He runs a few different businesses, but isn’t very hands on with any of them. They’re more investments than they are passion projects for him. When he bought the original Freddy’s location (it’s a chain, he doesn’t own Fazbear Entertainment), he figured it was cheap enough and had enough appeal as the og that it would be a smart business move.

Boss’ wife died when Mahogany was a preteen, so he had to step up and raise her by himself. He’s very much a girldad, even at 59, and spoils Mahogany to no end.

Boss’ name is Byron, but he just tells everyone to call him “Boss” since his name feels too personal.

He is very cheap and does not want to put more money into Freddy’s than he has to.

Boss adored Violet and did everything he could to help Mahogany with her. He was happy that Freddy’s could be a part of her childhood like it was Mahogany’s. After Violet’s disappearance, though, he felt immense guilt and shut the restaurant down to mourn and aid the investigation. He originally intended to sell it, but decided to keep the business as a way to remember his granddaughter.

MAHOGANY

Mahogany is 28, uses she/her, and is a cis woman + bisexual

She is unemployed, but helps her father out with his businesses where she can. Specifically, she is very charismatic, and is great at meeting with investors.

Mahogany is Boss’ daughter and lives with him.

In her youth, Mahogany was very outspoken and playful, though after having Violet she did mature a bit. Being a single mother was hard for her, especially at 18, but she did her best and loved Violet enough that Vincent’s absence was not felt. After Violet went “missing”, Mahogany turned very bitter and distant. She hates having to go to the pizzeria and despises Vincent for not caring about or helping with Violet’s disappearance.

She struggles with the loneliness of having lost both her daughter and, in a weird way, Vincent. Of course, Mahogany is beautiful, and has had plenty of lovers, but she wants to find someone who will treat her right and take care of her. Scott is definitely a person of interest for her, but his obliviousness to her passes at him frustrates her.

VIOLET

Violet died when she was 8 in 2022.

Violet was very outgoing and made friends easily with the other kids at Freddy’s. She also tended to be very hyper and rowdy, and would often have to be dragged away from the animatronics by Scott or Vincent.

She was very close with her mother and grandfather, and was happy with their family dynamic. Violet knew that Vincent was her dad, but she didn’t feel any kind of connection to him and often gave him a hard time whenever he tried to do his job as a guard.

Her favorite animatronic was Foxy. He is also the animatronic that she was put into and that she now possesses.

WILLIAM AFTON

William died when he was 65 in 2012, uses he/him, and is a cis man + bisexual

His parents divorced and his mother remarried, eventually having Jay (Vincent’s father). They moved to America from Britain when William was a teenager.

He was always sort of an oddball, but in a charming way. Behind closed doors, of course, he was much more sinister and hateful, but he was very skilled at hiding that side of himself.

William did initially care about all three of his children, though CC’s death made him despise Michael. William and his wife divorced, and Michael lived with his mother while Elizabeth went between houses until her death. 

After the murders, William did leave Fazbears as an owner. Still, he felt compelled to go back, and worked undercover as Dave for a bit to kill more. He was at one point looked into by police, but they had no evidence that would stick and let him go. Realizing how close he’d gotten, William decided to lay low and leave Freddy’s.

When the authorities reached out to William about taking in Vincent, he was initially very hesitant. When he did, though, he realized Vincent had the same murderous tendencies he himself had, and decided to take his nephew under his wing. William enjoyed Vincent since he saw a lot of himself in him, and treated him like the son he never got to raise. Vincent also gave him the opportunity to visit Freddy’s again, which had never stopped beckoning to him.

Eventually, William’s obsession with Freddy’s became too much, and he decided to sneak in and destroy the animatronics to rid himself of them. He succeeded, but in doing so released the spirits of the murdered children. They chased him into the safe room where the Spring Bonnie suit was being stored, and when he hid inside of it… ruh roh!

William’s body was never found, but the remnant (i dont understand that shit but its the only thing that could possibly keep his gay ass from decomposing in that suit so its here i guess) kept his body intact inside of Springtrap. By the time Vincent found him years later, his mind had deteriorated so much from the pain that he lashed out at his nephew. When Vincent turned on him and decided to mock him instead of helping him, William began to despise Vincent the same way he despised Michael.

He’s still in the boarded off safe room and Vincent is the only one who knows he’s there. He could theoretically move inside the suit, but he thinks it is futile since he is trapped in there and it would be even more painful. If he really tries, he can manifest as a ghost and leave the room, but it’s very draining and he cannot do it for very long.

MICHAEL AFTON

Michael is 55, uses he/him, and is a cis man + unlabeled

He is semi-undead and is stuck physically in his early 20s from when he was scooped. He usually wears a mask and covers as much of himself as he can to blend in. He also uses a cane and compression sleeves for his joints.

Michael has been trying to find his father for years now to no avail. He knows that Vincent knows SOMETHING, but he isn’t sure what. Freddy’s isn’t super accessible to him since he doesn’t have a kid, but Vincent will often let him in just to drag him around, mess with him, and then show him the door with 0 information gained.

Michael is dating Vanessa, who is a professional gamer/streamer, and lives with her.

Welcome to Abyss' Caffeine rush Analysis of a William Afton that no one seemingly talks about. Aka The Fourth Closet William Afton. This is also maybe a guide on details if you want to describe or draw him.

Okay so i saw someone draw TFC William again, time to not be normal !!! ( positive / autism ).

But also i realized his design finally.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: Body Scars, Self Harm, Torture ( Springlock incidents ), Body Horror, Body Damage and Light Gore. Nothing is Extremely Graphic but still detailed.

I want to be clear, i do not think its mentioned in the book, but the graphic novel is very.. All over the place in all honesty. ( it is anyways, with Elizabeth having the wrong Hair color, and William's robes changing color every page ( its supposed to be the shadows.. but it is not drawn well at all, making the robes look purple or purple and white.. On top of that i know its supposed to be technically *artist/animators black , because in the book its strictly black. )

Actual descriptions here for figuring out what William Afton went through so i can make things a little less complicated design wise.

1. First off, my immediate thought i just realized and why i decided to make this. His secondary scars as Springtrap. In The Twisted Ones, as Springtrap, he is horribly mangled as well as lost some of his teeth.

The implications in the book he also lost his organs, which we will get to later. In The Fourth Closet, its.. less mangled. Still horrible, but not as much. Now this is obviously... probably a confusion on communication like everything else in the graphic novels but also probably to tone it down for kids.

However his teeth are back which is really funny to me. But then again we have learned that Remnant can heal. It wouldn't surprised me if Circus Baby, however and whenever she found him, used so much if it that his skin healed wrong and some things did come come back.

2. Adding onto this, his organs. He clearly still has some of them but.. starts removing them slowly, mainly to produce agony and use remnant, to forever possess himself ( like the games , like Michael Afton ( or so the common theory so far is that Michael possessed himself because of Agony and Remnant ).

I do think that he might briefly be already doing this, but's still more alive than not, hence why he's got an IV and needs mobility aids to get around.

Not to mention the Remnant didn't heal everything. He still has jagged metal bits stuck inside of him. On his neck and eye in the graphic novel, but its more in the book.

I do believe his eye isn't his original as the Springbonnie suit would've probably pushed its own eyes into his skull, or his outside of his skull.

So on top of that he probably is legally blind in both eyes ( not to mention that again the novel depicting something poorly. He doesn't have a robot eye, he has no eye in his right socket. ( though robot eye is kinda fun <3 )

3. Its implied Circus Baby did put him back together. That she did the surgeries and the remnant trials on him. No offense to her, especially because she is a robot / possessed by a minor..........she's probably the reason why he's so fucked up so far.

If William was well enough on his own he probably could have done better. But obviously he wasn't.

In fact as Springtrap in TTO ( the twisted ones ), he was on an Agony/Remnant high. Having "zoomies". I believe this is why Springtrap can chase people whether he is more "alive" like in the books or undead in the games ( and possible movies ). Because otherwise he'd probably just move slowly like a zombie.

4. This is nothing, but even more minor rambling. I always took it as he wore sleep clothes not because he's "grandpa" but because he is ill, as well as that is all that is what is most comfortable.

I do wish people would think things through before being ableist or ageist. William is most likely in his mid 50s in this book series. Which is.. Older, but admittingly at this point in my life i wouldn't say thats old/grandpa. ( i feel like 60 is just on the cusp though ).

I mean think about it. You, are in so much pain, that everything that you touch, hurts. But you obviously have/want to be decent. So you have to be as comfortable as possible.

I can vouch for this as someone with chronic pain, but i cant vouch for ( large body ) scars nor will i speak over people with them.

To end this, I'm not saying all this to have people sympathize or go "aw poor baby" ( if you do this i hope you explode actually . Don't infantalize disabled people ! ).

But because i think its interesting. I also don't think people realize that like.. William self harms, a lot. He doesn't care about his own health too much as long as he knows he won't die ( or at least knows he can come back from it ). He is horribly afraid of his own death.

I am neurodivergent, i love him ( #plurality ), and i had an energy drink

TLDR: I think William's design from TFC is actually way more interesting and way more detailed than people realize.. the Graphic Novel and the Book just don't talk about it too much because well. It is made with kids in mind.

A/N: The title of this fic comes from the song Ghosting by Mother Mother. I was listening to different songs trying to pick a title, and I really like how this one fits. How their romantic love was like a ghost in their lives - not discussed, but felt between the both of them, and after she's gone, she becomes a ghost in his life.

Mike woke up to the smell of pancakes. 

Typically, mornings were his least favorite time of day. Seeing as he was the kind of person who didn’t sleep well, didn’t sleep at all, or found himself consumed by nightmares when he did - most mornings, he was too tired to comprehend the world around him. Mornings were a chaotic mess for him as he tried to pull himself back from the brink of insanity while operating his sluggish body with far too little energy until he got some coffee into his system. He came to resent mornings, as for him, they existed only in a dreadful haze. 

And he rarely ate a proper breakfast because of it. Most of the time, his ‘breakfast’ consisted of a large cup of coffee and a few pieces of Eggo waffle that he would snag off of Abby’s plate going out the door as he scolded her for not finishing it all. 

The second that the pleasant smell of freshly cooked food reached his nose, his stomach growled. 

Through the sleepy fog of his brain, hearing voices - multiple voices - coming from down the hallway, he realized that it wasn’t just Abby and some muffled cartoon characters from the TV. 

“Which one?” Abby posed, her voice bright and curious as ever. 

“Personally… I like the red sweater. It matches the red laces in the shoes you picked,” You replied, raising your voice slightly to be heard over the sizzling of the pan. 

You were helping her pick out her clothes. Abby would have never wanted Mike’s help on the subject. So often she scoffed at him if he suggested that he could help her put her hair in a ponytail or if he told her that she should put on a jacket if it was cold outside. But she asked you for your advice about clothes because she admired you. She thought you were pretty, as she had told Mike on multiple occasions (not so subtly hinting that he should date you). 

Mike heard footsteps thundering down the hallway as Abby rushed to her room to get dressed, likely carting along the clothes you had helped to pick. He distantly wondered how you had gotten into the house before he was even awake. 

And then, he remembered - a few weeks ago, he had given you a key to his place. 

It was something that had come after he had accidentally locked his own set of keys in the car, his mind jumbled and forgetful after not having much sleep the night before. And with the evening ticking on and the takeout you had picked up for the three of you quickly getting cold in your hands (everyone eager to simply get into the house and eat) - Mike had been hit with the realization that any solutions to unlock the car - the spare key, a metal coat hanger, a phone to call a mechanic - were all locked in the house. 

So he had hoisted Abby in through her bedroom window (after scolding her for not locking it) and gotten her to unlock the front door. And shortly after that, he had given you a house key, because generally, you were better with things like that. 

You were much more organized - your mind a clear, calm palace compared to the chaos that Mike often found himself swamped in. You were someone who worked incredibly well under stress, and that was why Mike valued you so much in his life. Right from a childhood where the two of you had pulled pranks together and he had been copying your homework, to the time he had leaned on you during the initial stress of Garett’s disappearance - up until now. When he was a messy, disorganized adult who still needed you far more than he was ever willing to admit. 

It was just one of the many reasons he admired you so much. You took care of him in ways he couldn’t even put into words. 

He smiled to himself as he heard more of your chatter with Abby. Previously, he had remarked that the key was for ‘emergencies only’ - but he couldn’t bring himself to care all too much about the breach of that rule as he tumbled out of bed. Especially when the smell of bacon also reached his nose as he walked to the bathroom. 

It was when he was pulling on his pants that he glanced at the clock and realized he was already running on the late side. Not too late yet, but he had to put some urgency in his step. He had somehow forgotten to set his alarm, today of all days, when he would be meeting with a career counselor after the disastrous incident that got him fired from the mall. 

He rushed down the hallway struggling with his tie, bringing his usual air of chaos with him. His heart instantly warmed at the sight of you and Abby - you had her sitting at the table, somehow so much more polite and cooperative for you, with a glass of juice beside her plate while you scooped freshly made pancakes onto it. 

“You know, usually when most people break and enter, they don’t make breakfast,” Mike commented, his voice cool and jovial as he grew increasingly frustrated with his tie. 

He thought he was forming the knot correctly, but it kept falling loose in his hands, causing a deep crease across his brows as he frowned at the fabric. 

You giggled at this - both at his words and at his obvious struggle. You put the pan on the counter as you walked toward him, leaving Abby to pick up the bottle of syrup and begin thoroughly drowning her pancakes while you weren’t looking. You knocked Mike’s hands away in that wordless kind of care and began calmly tying his tie. 

“Well, I considered going the traditional route, but there’s nothing worth stealing here.” You remarked, playing off the banter that was only built between the two of you after years of friendship. “Plus, The Breakfast Burglar has such a nice ring to it.” 

“That makes it sound like you steal people’s breakfast.” Abby giggled. 

“I would, if certain little girls didn’t drown their pancakes in syrup.” You replied, not bothering to look over your shoulder at her to know what she was doing. “That’s enough, Abs.” 

She rolled her eyes harshly at this, but put the bottle of syrup down and picked up her knife and fork. 

Mike grinned widely at this. You were more like a mom to her than their own mother ever was. And the fact that you knew her so well and took care of her without question always brought him joy. 

His smile only widened when you smoothed a warm hand down the front of his chest, and he looked down to see a perfectly neat knot in the front of his tie. He felt a tingling swarm of butterflies in his stomach at your touch - something that threatened to spread through him and turn him into a dizzy, lovesick fool. Urgently, he needed to distract himself with something else. 

His eyes shifted over to the side table, and he realized that his keys weren’t where he usually threw them down when he got home. 

“Have you seen my-?” 

Once again, you were two steps ahead of him. More organized than him. 

“Keys.” You said, turning around to the counter and holding the key ring up on your fingers. “Your resume, formatted and printed.” You held up a folder that contained this as well. “Your wallet, and breakfast burrito.” 

You gathered up his wallet and a warm bundle wrapped in tinfoil - his breakfast. The small notion of caring, the fact that you thought ahead to make something he could eat while rushing out the door - it caused that dangerous tingle to overtake his stomach once again. As you crossed the room and placed all the items in his hands, he had the intense urge to lean over and kiss you - he knew the domesticity was crippling. 

You had been his best friend for years, you had helped him take care of Abby for as long as the little girl could remember. You felt more like a wife to him than anybody else ever would. 

And yet, you had absolutely no clue how he felt about you. It would have felt like the most natural thing in the world for him to lean over and kiss you goodbye before leaving - just like a husband would do with his wife. But the two of you weren’t married. You weren’t even dating. You took care of him because you were his best friend. Because you had always taken care of him the way a best friend should. 

“What would I do without you?” He said, knowing that the pure fondness in his voice could have easily given him away - if he didn’t talk to you like that all the time. 

“Hmm… probably run around naked and starving,” You chuckled, shrugging as you walked back over to Abby and sat down beside her at the table. “Now get going. I’ll take Abby to school.” 

“Have a good day, Abs.” Mike said, wishing his sister well - only to receive a mindless nod in reply before she went back to chatting with you about something, excitedly telling you a story involving one of her imaginary friends while you watched her with absolutely rapt attention. 

He moved toward the door, but he found himself caught up in the sight of you. You were a hero in their little world as you rushed to save one of Abby’s drawings from some syrup that dripped off her plate. When you complimented the picture, she glowed with a smile he hadn’t seen in days. 

That was a huge part of it, too. The love he felt for you that grew more agonizing each day. You brought out all the best parts of Abby, as well as keeping Mike himself from going truly insane. 

For a single moment, he wondered if he should tell you. He wondered if he should just blurt out the words before running out the door, leaving you to simmer in it. Giving you time to think about it - to yell at him about it later. 

It hovered on his tongue. 

I love you. I’ve been in love with you for years. 

But when you looked over and saw him still standing by the door, he locked eyes with you, and suddenly it was gone again, swallowed up inside of him like a nasty ache that would live there forever. 

“Go, Mike! You’re gonna be late!” You said, your voice edging with casual laughter. 

You picked up one of the couch cushions and swatted him with it as you walked by to get Abby a paper towel from the kitchen. 

No. He would tell you some other time. 

Perhaps he wouldn’t work up the courage to tell you at all. 

… 

He was going to die. He was going to be killed. 

And he wasn’t going to get the chance to tell you that he was in love with you. 

Strangely enough, that was the one thing Mike was thinking about as he laid on the cold, dirty floor of Freddy Fazbear’s condemned pizzeria. His stomach burned with searing pain as he received another kick from the large, intimidating monster that he knew only as the Yellow Rabbit. 

He was going to die. He wouldn’t get to tell you how he felt. He would never get to see you ever again. 

He was going to save Abby. He was going to make sure that she got out of here, escaped somehow. And you would take care of her. That thought was a singular comfort to him as he felt one of his ribs crack from the metal (poorly disguised by the foam and fabric around the edges of the suit) colliding with his torso.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” The Rabbit mocked him. “I killed your brother, now I get to kill you. Symmetry, my friend!” 

“Get away from him!” 

Mike almost thought that the intense pain had caused him to hallucinate, or that he had hit his head on the floor hard when he had been thrown down - it couldn’t actually be you.

But he heard your voice, fierce and fiery as ever, defending him as you had so many times before. He struggled to get his head up to look, but he caught a glimpse of the Yellow Rabbit as the strange animal collapsed. 

You had picked up one of the chairs, and brought it down over the Rabbit’s head, perfectly imitating something that would have been on Monday Night Raw. Except this was pure wood, not a collapsing chair, and all the pieces that splintered and fell in front of Mike as the Rabbit collapsed were because of the pure force of your hit. The fury of which you defended him and his life. 

“Y/N!” Abby yelled your name from across the room. 

She rushed into your arms as you stepped over the Rabbit’s prone body, and you swept her into a tight hug. 

“Are you okay? Are you hurt? What’s going on?” You rushed to ask, brushing her hair out of her face to inspect for any injuries. 

“I’m fine.” Abby told you. “Mike-” She then turned to her brother, frantic, and pulled away from you to fall to her knees by his side. 

“Mike, what the hell is going on?” You asked, on your knees at his side just as quickly. 

You turned him over on his back, inspecting him for injuries now - definitely not liking what you found. 

Abby held his hand and he grasped it right back, his head still dizzy from the thorough ass-kicking he had just experienced. 

You gasped when you saw blood leaking through his shirt. He grunted in pain when you pressed your hand into the wound, clearly trying to lessen that bleeding. 

“What - what are you doing here?” He croaked out. 

As much as he was thankful for you swooping in and saving him, he wished that you were safe somewhere else. Anywhere but here. 

“Abby left her jacket in my car, and when I went to return it, I saw your Aunt Jane passed out on the floor, and - and, I just had a bad feeling.” You rushed to explain. “Somehow, I figured you’d be here.” 

Mike hadn’t exactly told you the details of what was going on. 

As close as the two of you were, he wasn’t sure if you would be entirely receptive to the concept of Abby being ‘friends’ with robots that were controlled by ghost children, and Mike somehow feeling connected to his own missing… dead brother by being in this place. He had simply told you that his new job was a night shift at a creepy old abandoned pizza place. 

But of course, you were two steps ahead of him. As always. 

You pulled back your hand to inspect the bleeding, and Mike groaned again. 

“Should I call an ambulance?” You asked, and Mike shook his head furiously. 

“No, we have to-” 

We have to leave. You have to leave. You have to get Abby out of here, to safety. 

All of those words dissolved on his tongue as he watched with utter shock. He wanted to scream as a big yellow hand clasped onto your shoulder from behind, and soon, a pair of large rabbit ears rose up from the floor. 

He wasn’t down for the count. 

Before he could speak, before he could move, Mike’s throat became choked as he saw your expression shift from the kind concern that you had worn for him many times - to pain. A brutal shock of your own. 

The Rabbit had shoved his knife into your back. 

A bright pool of red began to form in the middle of your shirt as the tip of the knife just barely poked through the center of your chest. 

“No!” Mike shouted, rushing to sit up despite the pain screaming in his body. 

He put a shaking hand to the middle of your chest as though it mattered, as though he could save you from this. He hated how warm your blood felt underneath his fingers. 

Abby let out a scream beside him. Distantly, in the back of his mind, he felt a pang of guilt that she had to see this. That she would spend the rest of her life trying to get over this. 

“It hurts, doesn’t it?” The Rabbit mocked him. “It always hurts more when you love them!”  

The Rabbit let out a brutal laugh and then yanked his knife from your back, and you released a sharp breath as the Rabbit shoved you toward Mike, causing you to collapse into his lap in a bloody heap. 

Somewhere far away, in another world, Mike heard Vanessa shouting from the doorway. Maybe he felt some sense of relief, thinking she would shoot the Rabbit down and this would all be over. But as the Rabbit’s attention was drawn away from him, he turned to where you were draped across his lap, the small pool of red on your shirt now soaked into a large puddle as you sputtered and some of that harsh bright red blood came out the corner of your lips. 

“Mike-” You choked out, reaching for him. 

“Tell me what to do,” Mike choked out. 

His mind was miserably blank. He felt your fingers clutching at his bicep, like he held the key to saving you, like he could restore your life - but his mind was screaming and his chest collapsed in on itself. 

You were always the one that guided him. He didn’t have an idea if you didn’t plant it in his head first. 

“Y/N,” Abby sobbed. 

“It-it’s okay.” You told her, struggling, gurgling, choking on your own blood. You took your grip off Mike, extending the hand weakly to her, and she took it. “It’s g-gonna be okay.” 

She let out another harsh sob, and Mike felt his lungs fill with stone. 

“Tell me what to do,” He said desperately, not realizing how thick his own voice was, how close he was to breaking down. He ran a trembling hand over your face, brushing away some stray hairs - he hated how cold you felt to his touch. “Please, tell me what to do.” 

He thought you might suggest some first aid. An ambulance. Tell him where your car was so he could carry you there, cart you away, get you to safety. 

“You-re g-gonna take c-care of her-r.” You told him, shifting your eyes distinctly from him toward Abby, giving her hand a squeeze. “You’re gon-na m-make it ok-ay.” 

“Y/N.” Abby cried, thick tears spilling down her cheeks. 

“Abby. You’re gonna b-be s-strong.” You grinned at her - your teeth were covered in blood, and it looked as menacing as it did fond. “You’re g-gonna be good for-r M-Mike, right? My little a-artist.” 

Abby nodded, more tears leaking from her eyes. 

And then, with some gears turning in her head, these words seemingly having triggered some line of thought, she looked up and spotted something across the room. She muttered something about the drawings and leapt up before Mike could stop her. He didn’t have the strength to chase her - he only hoped that she was leaving, escaping while the others were distracted. 

When he looked back down at you, your face was falling more limp, and your shirt was somehow even more soaked in blood. His jeans were wet, and he couldn’t even process why. He pressed a hand to the front of your shirt, trying to cover the wound as you had done with him - his muscles shook even harder when blood gushed out between his fingers and seemed to leak from you harder, as if to spite him. 

“Y/N,” He sobbed, leaning down. He cradled the back of your head and touched your forehead against his own. 

For a moment, he dreamed about putting his lips against your own and bringing you back to life with a kiss. Like some stupid fairytale. 

“Y/N, I-” 

I love you. 

“I - I know.” You croaked quietly, cutting him off. “D-don’t w-waste it on me now-w.” 

He felt the puff of your last breath as it expelled out against his cheek - he felt you go completely limp in his arms. 

“No-” He choked the word off in his throat, swallowing down sobs. 

No. 

He held you tighter against him, and feeling how cold you were, he let out a shuddering howl of a sob. He clasped your lifeless body against his chest - somehow believing that he could use the power of his grief to inject more life back into you. 

The rest of it was a blur. The deadly snap of springlocks, Vanessa shouting at him to abandon you - to abandon your body as the building collapsed in on itself. 

Mike didn’t truly break down until he was scrubbing his blood off your face in the bathroom sink that night. Seeing the red washing down the drain and knowing that it was the last traces of your life he was washing away - that was what truly did it. He collapsed onto the floor and stayed there for hours, sobbing more than he breathed, unable to move. 

When his cries finally died down, Abby slowly crept in and asked him how he was feeling. He lied, telling her that he was feeling fine. She raised up a shy hand, offering him one of your sweaters that you had accidentally left on their couch a few days prior. 

He thanked her and then finally peeled himself off the floor. He tried to make pancakes and Abby remarked that they weren’t as good as yours. It felt impossible, but her words made him smile. It was a small, dull smile - but it was a smile, nonetheless. 

A few days later, when he finally fell asleep for the first time after you had died in his arms, it was with that sweater wrapped around his pillow, wafting your faded smell into his nostrils. It was the first time in years that he didn’t dream about Garett. The dream he had about you was just as haunting.

A/N: Also, I don't know if Afton's knife would actually be long enough to go through someone's back and pierce out the front of their chest but - one, it's a cool imagery, and two, the knife looks pretty large when compared to the scale of the Springtrap suit hands. Anyway, I don't actually care all too much if it's accurate or not, I had fun writing this lmao.

Any time a post of mine about afton got a decent amount of notes (aside from fanart) there'd usually be comments on it complaining about how "those" fans [note: i am one of "those" fans] have no idea what his personality actually is, and that they water him down, woobify and mischaracterize him, all while listing things off that are just genuinely part of william's character. while yes, there are fans that DO do that, the stuff they talk about is almost never an actual example of this happening. this is likely due to people not viewing him as a person and just a bland cold serial killer with no personality whatsoever

obviously movie william is not 1:1 with game or book william, but they're gonna be similar in personality. so heres some stuff ive seen people complain was "mischaracterization" thats present in the movie:

hes emotional/sentimental and actually cares about things - william calls the owner of freddys sentimental when talking to mike about the pizzeria (and we all know the owner is william), he visibly regrets/is shocked by the fact he stabs vanessa, he gets really worked up when things dont go his way, very quick to anger, etcetera. one could argue that william is lying about being sentimental and just wants to give an excuse for why the place is still around, but there'd be no reason to do that, considering mike has no idea anyone even died there, let alone the fact HE killed the kids. we know williams sole motive for keeping the place around definitely isnt just sentimental reasons, but i doubt that what he said doesnt have at least an ounce of truth to it. he holds onto trophies from his kills as well if him keeping garretts toy plane is anything to go off of

he actually likes bunnies and has an affinity for them - he has a rabbits foot on his keyring and has a letter/paper holder that's rabbit shaped. the letter holder isnt actually in any shots, but it was present on set on his desk

his personality isnt one note and dull/cold, and hes superstitious & a little offputting/jittery - the rabbits foot on his keyring ties into this idea, because if he actually believes it to be a good luck charm, then it shows some "quirkiness" for lack of a better term that people adamantly refuse to admit is in his personality. this also shows how hes superstitious, which is an idea thats present in the books, and people also like to pretend he isnt. he pokes fun at mike in a somewhat lighthearted way multiple times, he has a has a FRAMED PARTICIPATION AWARD on his wall for christs sake. the kids hair colors match the animatronics they were stuffed into (minus bonnie). he matched them. he made them match he paired them up for fun. not only that, but he gets visibly nervous and antsy when he realizes who mike is, and clearly really wants him to take the job. gets kind of weird. gets a kinda strange. he likes when things match afterall (symmetry, my friend!)

he's theatrical and over the top in personality on purpose (this is also essentially an argument for the last point) - in the books he goes on and on about performance and how he viewed both dave miller & springtrap as characters he plays, and i seriously wouldn't doubt that it'd be the same here, considering how cartoonishly evil he is while wearing the springbonnie suit. the voice changer, the little flourishes he adds to his speech, the fact he wipes off the knife when there wasnt any blood on it in the first place. for what. for what reason other than for pizzazz and intimidation points. the "oh, this is going to be so much fun!" line, and especially his playful demeanor disappearing the second he takes off the mask

he cares about his kids/likes kids - his expression when he stabs vanessa and she falls to the ground says enough i think. obviously hes not a GOOD parent, but being a good parent and caring about your kids are two wildly different things. you can be abusive and still care. most abusers dont process that they are abusers but thats a conversation for another time. william prioritizes himself over anyone else, but he still looks shocked after he stabs his daughter, and i refuse to blame that on bad acting because its MATTHEW LILLARD. the training tape for mike also states that he enjoyed entertaining kids, and yes, while that could be a lie, do you seriously think the creator of what essentially is chuck e cheese would actually despise children. the fact he gives garretts toy plane to vanessa could be a point toward him in this department as well, though its also just as likely he collects them as trophies. i like to think its a mix of both

i included these points specifically because i also have a plethora of evidence for them from both the books and the games, and theyre the ones i most commonly see people stating are unrealistic for afton.

its not a lot of stuff, but its not like he has a lot of screentime. lets be real

i do ADORE how egotistical and shortsighted they made him in the movie, though everyone can generally agree on that being a staple trait of his

now...you may be wondering: Why Do His Kids Get Refs For When They're Older, But Not Him? well...that's because, physically, he doesn't change much besides getting some more gray hairs and worse eye bags in the over a decade between his original murders and his death. and i've already done a ref for what O'Hare/Springtrap looks like in my design

yes, the Unhinged look in his eyes is intentional.

Alex:

gave his younger self a pose that was meant to give off "rebellious teenager" vibes, and his older self a pose that gives off "bitter and anxious" vibes.

ghosts are typically either desaturated or transparent, with the only bright colors on them are usually their eyes or the bloody wounds from their death.

so while it's not shown here, "fun" fact! Liz died from where Harriet (Circus Baby) hugged her hard enough to break not just her spine, but her neck as well. (the hug was so strong due to Harriet malfunctioning that day)

all ghosts who have their souls tied to an animatronic have a mask of that animatronic that they can wear if they wish. Liz's mask is of Harriet.

Cassidy:

my baby boy. my beloved <3

those pants are pajama pants. he wore them everywhere.

while not visible, Cassidy also wears mismatched socks like Liz.

the Fredbear plush was a gift from Henry, given to Cassidy by Charlie.

was blind in one eye after The Bite.

The Bite wasn't as horrible as people think it was. what basically happened was that the teeth bit slightly into his head, which caused the bleeding, as well as some cracking in the skull and brain damage in his frontal lobe. due to the mechanisms in Fredbear being Very hot as well, it caused some burns. nothing that couldn't heal, but...it Was still pretty serious.

while The Bite itself didn't kill Cassidy, he still, as a ghost, appears to have a bleeding section of his head.

the strangulation marks on his neck are more visible as a ghost.

Cassidy, as a spirit, can occasionally leak a mysterious black fluid from his eyes and mouth, which is reflected on his Mask.

Cassidy is transparent as a ghost.

Could you talk a little about your MCI from your Fnaf au?

This isn’t exactly what you asked, but here’s my timeline! It’s altered a bit over the years and characters have changed roles, but this is my little AU:

1983: Evan “Jack” Afton is bitten while Henry murders Charlie behind the pizzeria. Charlie mistakes her killer for William. Fredbear’s Family Diner closes and the springlock suits are moved to Freddy’s. Jack continues to haunt Michael and creates night terrors for him.

1984: Circus Baby’s Rental opens and Elizabeth “goes missing.” William, after losing his second kid, becomes consumed with finding Elizabeth and fails to notice Henry reprogramming the animatronics. Funtime animatronics steadily kidnap/kill kids from 1984~86.

1985: Official first Missing Children’s Incident™. Henry lures five kids (Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Cass) and stuffs their bodies in the suits. William is suspected but never convicted, Freddy’s is shut down.

Early 1986: William, suspecting foul play and feeling guilty, goes to the now closed Freddy’s location to search for clues. Charlie and Co, believing their killer to be William, scare him into the suit and he is springlocked. Using William as a scapegoat, Henry has the walls sealed up so that William can “remain at large” should the case be reopened. Becoming more paranoid that he will be found out, he hunts down Michael’s friends from the bite of ‘83 and hides their bodies in the not-yet-released toy animatronics.

1987: After the disappearance of his father, Michael finds William’s frantic theories over Elizabeth’s whereabouts and decides to go look for her. Scoopage occurs.

After discovering the truth of the incidents, the not-yet-rotting Michael takes a job at the new Freddy Fazbear’s under the guise of Jeremy Fitzgerald. (The dayshift guard, also named Jeremy, gets bit by Mangle) Michael comes back later as “Fritz Smith” and sneaks Charlie out with him.

~1988: Ennard (without Baby) sneaks into Michael’s apartment and asks to stay. Michael begrudgingly lets Ennard live in his closet.

~1991: Circus Baby finds Michael’s apartment and demands to stay. Michael and Ennard begrudgingly let her.

1993: Mike takes a job at the reopened Freddy’s. Finds out that his uncle (Phone Guy) died there not too long before him. Mike continues working there for a while until he gets fired for “tampering with the animatronics” and the place gets shut down. He sneaks Phone Guy’s ghost out with him and hides him in his apartment.

2017: Michael takes a job at Fazbear Fright under the name Eggs and “meets” Springtrap. Neither recognize each other and form a friendship. This culminates in the two of them burning the place down and Michael sneaking William back to his apartment, where Phone Guy reveals both of their identities to each other.

2019: Michael, in an attempt to lure Henry and kill him, franchises a Freddy’s location and steadily sneaks his animatronic family members in. It’s the most successful Freddy establishment and becomes incredibly popular. When Henry tries to burn the place down, the Afton family captures him and forces him to burn in the restaurant with them. Despite everything, everyone but Henry survives. Henry’s soul escapes into the computer.

2020: Realizing they now have to live “normal lives” in the aftermath of the fire, Michael and William retrofit illusion discs so the whole family can pose as living people.

2023: After developing into a malicious computer virus, Henry/Glitchtrap poses as a Fazbear Entertainment email address and commissions a VR studio to make the FNAF series. On top of using this to possess the beta testers, he uses this to spin the narrative that William was the murderer and that he was the hero that stopped him. Michael joins the VR team as “Iggy Wilson” in order to stop Henry.

So with SOTM out I have a few things to say about it and the direction fnaf is headed in general.

Long post ahead so imma put it under the cut.

Modern fnaf (anything past Pizza Sim) has a major focus and tonal shift that doesn't appeal to me.

It may not be for me anymore if this is gonna be the focus Steel Wool wants to pivot towards moving forward. And it's not a bad thing per se, just bad for me in terms of preference. And I wanna stress that. Secret of the Mimic is a Good Game! However, in terms of my own opinions and biases, here are my thoughts.

First of all there's the main antagonist. It's always been William Afton/Springtrap. He's been the main Big Bad from the start and there's a lot of hype around that. However, it seems that Steel Wool has their own main antagonist in mind in the form of The Mimic. I could not give less of a fuck about this rogue AI. Both from a design standpoint and it's lore. It's just not something I can bring myself to get interested in. This of course stems from people generally being tired of William "I Always Come Back" Afton showing up *again* with another shit redesign to serve as the Ooo Big Scary threat. Which I understand that to a degree but og Springtrap will never get old for me and I am perfectly content with him coming back *again* as many times as he damn pleases as long as his designs are good (either the og Springtrap look or an actually cool redesign).

The second thing is the theme. Originally it was about the supernatural. Dead kids or haunted souls possessing the animatronic suits and killing for various motivations, and usually a night guard or other person snooping where they shouldn't. It was ghosts in the machines, malevolent spirits attacking the ignorant employees and people unlucky enough to get their attention. Now it's rogue AI that learns as it develops and knows violence. It's too sci fi for me. Especially for the time period. And that's coming from someone obsessed with the engineering aspect of the animatronics like the sister location ones (which are now possibly the ONLY ANIMATRONICS WILLIAM HIMSELF DESIGNED BTW other than spring bonnie and fredbear, but I'll get to that). Like any threats moving forward aren't going to be haunted but rather creations of The Mimic or The Mimic themselves. Which, I have enough issues with AI I don't need it in my FNAF lore it really loses the spooky campy halloweeny scare factor that way. And William and Henry having a shorter amount of animatronics actually credited to them as their original designs I think undermines the intelligence of our og antagonist, which just isn't necessary to establish a new one. You don't gotta make your old villain seem less competent in his abilities to make your new one seem like more of a threat. If you do your new villain is just not good enough. Period. Yeah it makes William and Henry seem like more of a shitbag corporate feind than they already are but William's ability to make genuinely well-made and threateningly deceptive and deadly machines is a big part of his character.

TL;DR SOTM is a great game and is super well made and fun but I don't like what it means for the lore in terms of my personal engagement with it. Like there's nothing wrong with how it changes the lore, but it's not something I'm interested in personally.

Here’s all the characters I could see MAYBE being friends with English Willy (springtrap):

#1, Wesker

Keep the topic on him and Ouroboros, maybe bring up remnant and how the Funtime animatronics extracted it…

#2, hillbilly/huntress

Both of these characters are basically still (mentally) children, and would probably follow him around believing him to be just a cartoon rabbit

#3, Ghostface (if he could get past the smell)

Ghostface would fucking fanboy after hearing the story of the afton family, to ghostface they would probably be best friends… and to William? He’d probably be like the son he never had.

#4, The Legion (like as a whole)

So atfirst you may expect the legion would be the exact same as ghostface due to them both having a high adoration for serial killers, and while that is true the legion is a LOT punk and likely to question William a lot more. HELL they might even hate him for being an owner of a company

#5, The Doctor

Yeah I’m not explaining this… they’re literally BASICALLY the same person, even down to both of them hating their teachers

Honorable mentions:

While William and her are both tinkers, and William Afton being KINDA similar to John Kramer. She in the end would probably realize how much John would hate William simply because he’s a killer, and John hates killers…

So yeah in the end she’d probably say some shit like “John would’ve hated you…” and walk away

—the blight—

This one’s odd because with the blight you have to question is Talbot still in there? If so.. than YEAH absolutely!

they both started as people who probably wanted nothing but the best, and descended deep, becoming some of humanity’s WORST

If Talbot is dead and all that remains is The Blight, than maybe William would be interested in his pustula serum but beyond that? No nothing really… you can’t really reason or talk to what is rabies personified…

Okay trying to put my new random "Night Security Guard Nate Wantstobattle -> Natemare" headcanons in order (which is separate from the fic I wrote, since that's more grounded in reality as far as the characters and the decisions they make).

-Circus Baby's Party Works was in fact fully run by Henry Emily, at least by the time we see it in First Nights. He was a robotics genius, yes, but in order to push the limits and find out what lengths he could take it, he had that facility for testing things. At this point, he had no idea that the animatronics were at all sentient.

-In the aftermath of First Nights, Henry has now seen that the various animatronics and robotics and everything can come to life, so over the next seven years, research at Circus Baby's pivots to focus on that - it's not his area of expertise (William Afton being the one who came up with the programming of personalities and such into the animatronics they built together) but hey, that's what hiring the scientists and experts and such is for.

-This does not make things better for the animatronics there - it may not be physical testing now, but now they need to endure mental trials instead. And, honestly, being pushed like that is probably making them more aware/sentient, which just makes it all worse.

-The events of the original FNAF musical happen, Henry gets sent to prison. People backing Circus Baby's decide that in order to mitigate their losses, they'll turn it into its own pizzeria location. I am aware this decision probably doesn't make sense, but honestly, in game/book canon, many of Faz Inc's decisions don't make sense, and this seems like the type of thing they'd do.

-Despite Nate telling A.J. that he didn't even want the night security job at Freddy Fazbear's, the more he thinks about it, the more he realizes he wasn't entirely joking about a job without haunted animatronics and chainsaw maniacs sounding boring. And, hey, he does like Freddy and the gang, and with the chainsaw maniac behind bars, maybe working there won't be so bad. Plus he does still have those bills he needs to pay, and since it's connected to his old job, he's likely to just get a transfer instead of having to be rehired. So he's not entirely thrilled, but he does indeed go to this sister location that's opened up.

-The animatronics there are not like the ones he's used to. These ones are clearly more malicious - not like Springtrap, who just attacked indiscriminately, but clearly acting with purpose. Fortunately, they are fooled by some of the tricks he learned at Freddy Fazbear's, but they seem to adapt and learn.

-I am realizing now that I don't have a good reason why he wouldn't just walk out. Sometimes you just need suspension of disbelief I guess.

-He ends up finding a... mask? actual faceplate? He's not sure, but something that has a resemblance to the Puppet from the old location (though actually, y'know, face-sized). Remembering Mark talking about disguising himself, he thinks that maybe this is a new technique he can use to deter the animatronics.

-It's not.

-Not in the way he was hoping, anyways.

-The mask was wired into the system that the animatronics ran off of, and since he put it on, because of [technobabble explanation here, neural implants or something idk], now he is, too. It doesn't take over his mind or anything, but it does mean that he knows everything they know, and can feel all the things they've felt, both their anguish and anger at the people who did this to them.

-I am also aware that "putting on a mask and getting wired into something" has shades of SB: Ruin. Shhhh no it doesn't.

-And, well. He also went through a hell of a time because of Henry Emily, suffering through a job he regretted yet couldn't escape, a murder attempt, and threats of revenge. And all that trauma ate at him subtly over time, but once it was combined with the rage of the animatronics, it reached new depths, absolutely consuming and transforming him. And so by the time Henry got out of prison, this new entity, Natemare, was waiting.

Random other things that don't exactly fit into the narrative:

-He has a sort of limited control over the animatronics in the network with him. It's not entirely that he can order them around, but he can definitely influence them.

-Because of his own skill in programming, now that he's almost a sort of program himself, he can very easily hack his way into most things, at least on a basic level, and if he wants to really put in effort, he can even make it so that his code acts as a virus to disrupt systems. No I don't know exactly how this works in practice but it sounds cool.

-The tearstreaks are actually lines of circuits.

Here are my basic outlines for the two sequels Matthew Lillard has signed onto. They're not perfect as Springtrap has almost no connection to anything right now, so if you have any suggestions to make them better, comment them and I'll edit them in, I'll give credit with a tag. These are just ideas that I'd like to see.

Fnaf 2 movie

Abby and Mike return to the original pizzeria where they find the original animatronics withered and broken.

Abby and Mike take time to comfort the children inside.

They see Spring Bonnie is gone, and they get a call from the hospital: Vanessa is gone.

Mike goes to the location with the toy animatronics who he has to sneak around with using the Freddy mask

Mike goes to the original location, like not the one from the first movie, the original location.

Mike watches a tape of the young Cassidy getting springlocked as Vanessa and her friends push him in

Mike tries to save Vanessa while Cassidy wants revenge on both William and Vanessa

Vanessa is trapped in the Golden Freddy springlock as Mike begs Cassidy to stop.

Cassidy reveals that he is Cassidy Afton as Vanessa is springlocked.

Fnaf 3 movie

Mike enters Sister Location warehouse where he believes Afton is hiding.

Swap between Mike at the sister location and a grown Abby with Henry as they try to stop Springtrap.

Ballora emulates Afton's wife, Circus Baby emulates a young Vanessa

Ends with Mike being scooped and replaced with Ennard, and all the animatronics being laid to rest as the original pizzeria burns

EVIL DOUBLED (FNAF AU)

This was sorta just for fun while I do school and what not! AU idea where Henry and William are BOTH evil and work together!

This screenshot redraw is what started it all!

Thats William’s remnant in there btw hes sorta michael-mode rn but theyre gonna put it back in him once theyre done posing all cool- He JUST survived being springlocked for the first time

Now lets get into ref sheets! (There will be a page break after and all lore/info about the au will be down there!)

OK SO!!! The au def is similar to canon a lot and so

The MAJOR plot changes would be:

-Will and Henry BOTH get springlocked

•this fucks over Cassidy and CC being in Fredbear already though, so to solve this issue Cassidy, CC, and Charlie, will all share the puppet.

-Henry now occupies Fredbear instead, and so we now get Springtrap and Beartrap.

-William does NOT have time for the wife murder subplot, so Mrs. Afton (Clara) gets to live fully, she replaces Henry now. Diving into the duo’s blueprints and creations so she can one day stop them. She works with Michael.

-Henry’s wife is ALIVE! Her name is Dorothy and she returns to Hurricane after receiving a call from Clara. She also becomes a Henry replacement.

-Because of Clara and Dorothy’s new role, the pizza sim speach is now WAY more female rage style. This is the wrath of scorn mothers. UCN will be 100000x worse.

-Oh and no disks- William tries to push them but Henry 100% shuts them down and thinks theyre dumb.

-So fnaf 4 is JUST cc’s dying nightmare and eventually michael DOES get gas drugged and sees the nightmares but thats NOT fnaf 4 thats just a bad trip!

-Also, with William not being able to run rampant with random robot murder (Henry keeps him in check) we DO see the base finale in pizza sim.

-When we get into help wanted, ar, security breach, and ruin that follows a SECOND plot line fully separate from the first, where we see a surge of copy-cat killers (this is where we get characters like Vanessa and Jeremy, and Gregory will also be a part of this, being the main villain in Ruin now bc the Mimic was never made)

-William and Henry are a good team here, mutual bond and gain.

-William is far more explosive and emotional, his drive coming from CC’s death sorta setting off a domino effect of underlying mental health issues. He just kinda loses it. This team gives him the delusion that he may one day see CC again.

-Henry is in it bc hes a capitalist. And hey, turns out unlike electricity, theres NO remnant bill. So making all his robots run on human souls is cheaper! He doesnt really care much about charlie after like 3 months of her being dead. He knows it was William. He doesn’t care.

GENETICS?!

yeah theres genetics-

not gonna draw out the punnet squares but the colors of the characters ARE genetic traits!

Henry’s grey is a rare recessive trait. So it was EXTREMELY unlikely to pass onto Charlie. Which it didnt.

Dorothy’s green is a common dominant trait, Charlie ended up green like her!

William and Clara are BOTH purples. William is a more blue-purple, Clara is a more red-purple (commonly mistaken for pink!)

Both purples are dominant traits, so it is a 50/50 with their offspring to produce a blue-purple or red-purple.

Michael and Elizabeth both ended up red-purple!

Michael is VERY red-purple, very much almost mistaken for pink like his mom.

Elizabeth is closer to true purple than michael, but still red-purple!

CC is the only afton child to end up blue-purple! If he hadnt died he wouldve ended up being Williams favorite child!
