TF2 x SU au fusions!

oof this took too long but i finally made it !

I kept @gracefireheart Andalusite (HeavyMedic) and @cariocay ‘s Turquoise (EngieSpy) (that i just realized their account got deactivated just a few days ago im sad now) fusion designs because i just found them perfect and whenever i wanted to try making my own designs i always ended up with making something similar to theirs since i was very influenced so i just kept them! They’re so awesome plz check the original artists!

About the fusions:

I tried to choose a theme for every fusion that suits the characters like Spessartite (DemoSolly) is a warrior i put Demo’s sword with Soldier’s shield thing well he doesn’t specifically have a shield but yknow the helmet thing i thought that could work.

He’s very powerful, strong and jump into action without a second thought, while he possesses immense strength and a love for loud and chaotic things, his battle prowess is a double-edged sword since his attacks lack precision. however, this unpredictability often leaves his enemies confused and scrambling to defend. he fights more efficiently when drunk lol

Lepidolite (MedicSpy) is a plague doctor, he is very inspired by Hannibal Lecter (nbc Hannibal lol shout out to that one Anon who recommended it for me to watch it lol) at first i wanted to give him a bistouri as a weapon, since it would suit Medic’s saw with Spy’s small knife, but then i felt the fusion was leaning too much towards Medic than Spy, so i put a cane instead to give that old idk gentleman look :P

He is polished and sophisticated, with a hint of underlying sadism and very precise in his movements, he meticulously analyzes his opponents, exploiting weaknesses with surgical precision before jumping into action and strike right where it hurts the most, the cane appears to be a simple walking stick, but inside is a hollowed core that had a retractable, poison-tipped blade, and his poison isn't fast-acting he enjoys toying with his victims, watching as the venom slowly takes hold, fueling his twisted sense of amusement. they are far from being the strongest fusion but they rely a lot on making their opponent weaker by their ability to attack precise hits as well as poisoning them!

Carnelian (SniperScout) his design was inspired by a equestrian outfit (he was the hardest to design tbh bc i wanted his design to be specifically different from the others since Scout is half human so i wanted this "human" aspect to show in the fusion).

He is a walking paradox, he's got Sniper's calm confidence with Scout's hyperactive energy, he loves a good plan but his execution is often fueled by pure adrenaline, he can zip across the battlefield with incredible speed, dodging attacks and flanking enemies. good at mid range and long range attacks but weak at close range, has internalized monologues with himself a lot, he appears calm on the surface however, his foot constantly taps, he fidgets with his slingshot, he cannot stays in place for too long. enjoys taking challenges.

Rubellite (DemoPyro) is a robot with a 50’s cartoon style but with like a creepy vibe to it, their voice sounds like a broken radio perpetually stuck on a laugh track, is both infectious and unsettling.

They just as powerful as Spessartite but just a bit more agile and lean more on the defense style than offense, their body stretches in a cartoony way and battles become a twisted playground for them, a child's game where they hop and blow things up everywhere. they’re very joyful and loves to have fun while making chaos, they usually make jokes but no one understands their muffled voice so they often laugh all by themselves lol the weapon actually expands where the ball and the shaft of the mace connects there’s a chaine (i didnt draw it cuz there was already too much going on in the drawing lol) which helps them reach target from close to mid range easily, they twist and turn their body in very flexible ways before swatting their weapon at their target.

I was inspired by an image on Pinterest, I like the idea of his weapon being some kind of elegant giant scissors, which can be used as both scissors and two swords!

When his senses kick in is usually when they unfuse. He can't see for shit and has to constantly remind himself to put on his glasses

How would you go about a crossover between the three? I’m curious.

Oh my god, I’ve thought about this way more than I should now that you’ve said it. Imagine a gothic, Victorian AU where all the TF2 mercs are reimagined as characters from classic horror literature—but with the game’s signature blood-slicked absurdity still intact.

Medic is a clear fusion of Jekyll and Frankenstein—an unlicensed surgeon chasing immortality, stitching mercs back together in bizarre, often unnecessary ways, and brewing volatile tonics that turn teammates into Hyde-like monsters. His lab? A damp castle on a cliff, full of crackling wires, giant levers, and brains in jars labeled “DO NOT DRINK.”

Spy is the Hyde of the group: elegant and controlled on the surface, but known to vanish for hours and return bloodstained, eyes glowing with some unspeakable serum Medic swears he never approved.

Heavy is Medic’s beloved “creation”—not mindless, but intentionally enhanced, maybe even partly reanimated. They share a weird, emotionally intense bond. Definitely in love and doing nefarious things together, unlike the actual Frankenstein and his creature.

Meanwhile, everyone else is just trying to survive this unhinged version of 19th-century murder-cozy London. Pyro floats between fire-stoking hearth spirit and horrifying demon no one wants to acknowledge. Soldier is convinced he’s a righteous monster-hunter and keeps trying to “slay” his own teammates. Engie, bless his heart, is trying to invent a telegraph machine that doesn’t explode.

The whole thing plays out like Sweeney Todd meets Young Frankenstein meets TF2’s Halloween specials—equal parts horror, humor, and excessive bleeding.

Tf2 cardcaptor au part 1

Pauling is either working in a bookstore who is trying to find a particular old book for a client - administrator ( not named that here) or she's working for Administrator directly to find this Book.

Either way, she finds this book. It's the clow book. But as soon as she opens it, the cards come out and fly away. You know like with Sakura.

But instead the cards work a bit different here. Some cards have Merged due to such inactivity they started running low on magic. And so they merged to try and conserve magic.

Some more than others.

The cards also have a human as well as pure magic form.

The one card Pauling held into was the Breeze ( shout out to @infini-tree for the name. Also go check out her art she's great. And she puts up with all my weird ass AUs and crossovers and so on and so forth. I already dragged her into animorphs)

Anyway The Breeze... is Medics card. ( Red medic specifically). Nothing happens with him until some time afterwards.

Pauling is Freaking out. She found the book. But everything Flew out. She doesn't know How or Why but she knows that her client probably wants what's In the Book.

She spends some time trying to figure out what to Do. She's looking at the Card she has (the breeze is a mix of the Fly, float and Windy) and it's got a holographic/ lenticular effect where if you move it back and forth the picture changes and you can catch a glimpse of the Component Cards it absorbed.

That night she gets a Dream where she sees the Cards and a flurry of magic but most importantly she sees the Key/ wand.

The next day, she notices a weird bird / not a Normal White Dove hanging around. She doesn't think much of it but talks to the bird, partly to herself as well. And then it talks back.

It introduces itself with a German Accent and says he's the Breeze Card, and that she's a card captor now. She released them all and now she needs to collect them all.

This is all too much for Pauling but there's no time to process it all. He's right. She's got to get those cards back so she agrees. Medic here is playing the role of Kero because I didn't want to cast Kero. I suppose I could have had Bidwell and Reedy take on the roles of Kero and Yue(?) but I like condensing this.

Anyway Pauling officially signs her name on Breezes card, putting him under her mastery/ command. He gives her everything she needs to know.

She does sees Medics human form at one point but idk when.

As the Breeze, he can give her the ability to fly/ manipulate wind in general.

I can go more detailed and step by step plot wise if anyone really wants in a different post but here's the break down at the moment for who's who card wise

Breeze ( fly/ windy/ float) - red medic

Dash ( if I don't bring the Blu team as extra cards he becomes the agility or the Movement/ Speed a mix of dash and jump)- red Scout

The create - red engineer ( if with the Blu engineer they become a half fuses card that rejects the fusion and breaks into the Create and the Copy with Blu engineer becoming the Copy)

The illusion/ mirror- red spy

The strong/ strength- red heavy

The Fight( renamed the Combat)- red soldier

The Knight- ( sword/ shield fusion)- red demo ( the sword is Eyelander. He's still there and can Talk he's just not his own card anymore. I went with the demo knight theme instead of explosions because I didn't think there eas an explosion clow card and I wanted to Do something with that sub class idea)

The arrow(?) will consider going back and revising- red sniper

My name is Beau, one of my biggest hobbies is probably cooking. I usually have big ambitious cooking projects that I try to tackle, so like more fancy food, I also bake but not as much. I’m obsessed with cooking food from different cultures because it seems so interesting to me! Usually if I’m not in my bedroom I’m in the kitchen.

My music taste is kind of a mix of stuff, hardcore is my biggest genre, but I also like jazz fusion, and soundtracks! I have a pretty large record collection that I love.

I like decorations and trinkets, pretty much every inch of my wall has something stuck up and decorating it, and it’s pretty colorful! I also have a LOT of keychains (15+)

I like movies, specifically westerns. So I’m obsessed with cowboys and I love wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hats!

Theatre takes up a big part of my life as well, I usually do whatever production I can do, auditioning for anything. I prefer main roles(cause I like attention lol) but I’m just happy to be in the show regardless of what I get.

I love drawing, painting, etc. I have so many sketchbooks filled with drawings, I have multiple canvases in my room, and I even have a drawing tablet to draw on. I also do some whittling of little things that I like, keeping my pocket knife on me all the time.

I do a lot of reading, specifically of horror and Sci-fi books. (Currently reading House of Leaves)

Playing video games is like my second most done? Practiced? Hobby. Usually I play Resident Evil games or horror genre games. I have the most hours on stardew valley tho (200+)

I also love science and own multiple biology books (I don’t like actual science classes though?) specifically biology of mammals and birds. Speaking of birds I have a coop of laying ducks that I love a lot. Along with a garden I love to work in whenever I get the chance. Getting food from the environment (hunting, fishing, gardening) is something that’s so so so cool to me.

One more small hobby is baseball, I usually go out to a field and hit a few balls with someone!

I dont have a name for the spy fusion yet, but he was inspired by the invisible man :3 gameplay wise I imagine she's got some kind of smoke screen effect that obscures parts of the battlefield

On the flip side I have a name for the engie fusion- welder, but no gameplay ideas! But I love their design so it's ok

Took a couple steps back from my Magical Mercenary AU a bit ago in favour of another AU and honestly, good thing, because that allowed me to better think about the underlying theme of Magical Mercenary, like, what I want the core of the story to be about.

And that's how you may be whatever age you are and still not be a fully realized person.

Spoilers Ig?

Scout is a transwoman who was in a lot of denial about it before becoming a Magical girl and now has to face her identity (both that she's a girl and that she's GNC)

Soldier is battling the fact everyone ever saw him as stupid and how he internalised it

Pyro is so afraid of being seen, they rather hermit in their own home and workplace, their story is actually about finding friends to help with that

Demoman is constantly overworked and exploited and his arch is saying no to people and starting to enjoy life

Heavy has to face the fact that his sisters are all grown up and can fend for themselves

Engineer has to actually resolve his issues with his father (we've had enough daddy issues with characters who aren't even 25, now get ready for a man in his 40s with daddy issues!)

Medic... I actually didn't think about him all that much... He's definitely more mellow than his canon counterpart, which is causing a bit of issues, but Ig I could make his story about stepping out of being everyone's caretaker? Idk still he's kinda an enigma

Sniper is a trans man who has to both learn to step up for himself more and to be his own guy, intead of trying to imitate what a man should be (although NO force femminization as I hate this shit and no femminization either, just bitch embracing interests and hobbies without care for judgement from outer society, basically think him getting out the most toxic macho men cult where they think eating apples is womanly)

Spy's arch is a bit of a dual arch, on one hand he's finally realising his identity which he had to bury years ago (parallel archs let's go!) and on the other hand it's him stepping in as a father to Scout, be it a more work dad relationship

Overall, still iffy, like with my other AU, if this will ever come out, because would like to make it a comic series, but also... I am going to uni soon and so far I am determined to be there for 5-7 years, depending on where I end up and future me's decisions. However I am still pretty passionate about this and I wouldn't mind transforming this one into a written fanfic instead, with illustrated battle scenes. I am also maximally self indulgent here, for example this thing includes class fusion and Zhanna, although she won't be fighting until the end game. And also a lot of Zhanna Soldier fluff.

I should maybe make some ZhannaSoldier fluff.

The Team Fortress 2 Cosplay meetup at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2023!

This year's meetup was absolutely AMAZING. We had a total of 26 people come to the meetup, blowing last year's record of 12 people out of the water! We have yet to pass Salt Lake City Comic Con 2022's record of 37 people. But next year, I hope we can have an even bigger meetup! Although, we definitely need to find a new spot not in the way of everything. I apologize to the Phoenix Convention Center security staff for our massive inconvenience.

This year, we had two totally new characters join the meetup! We finally have a Ms. Pauling and Saxton Hale!

And our Saxton Hale was just as strong as the Australian fella himself...

And of course, the video where I told everyone "You already know the answer to this one!"
