Smoker feels like a complete idiot as he walks out of the pet shop, holding a stupid plastic bag with a stupid little orange fish spinning inside.

“This one,” he had said merely minutes ago, while pointing vaguely at absolutely nothing in the tank.

"The goldfish? Excellent choice, sir!" you beamed, with that perfect, radiant smile of yours. And he had to muster every ounce of marine-level discipline not to let his cheeks show what your sweet little “sir” did to him.

Goddammit.

He's a seasoned Marine officer. With leadership, duty, and a reputation for unshakable willpower. He's a Vice Admiral, for god’s sake. And yet here he is, head over heels like a total jackass for the girl at the pet shop... and too much of a coward to ask you out.

When he gets home, the fish looks at him like it's mocking him. He dumps it into a Tupperware and swears that he will never set foot in that damned store again.

But the little fucker needs food. And a proper tank too.

So a few days later, cursing his entire bloodline and puffing through half a pack of cigars like a train, there he is again. Back at the shop and buying a medium-sized tank, a water filter, and a little box of flakes that says “To make your fish happy!”

"Thank you," he says dryly, carefully avoiding your cleavage as you lean over the register to flip the box.

Days go by, and one goldfish turns into two. Then a Fantail. Then a Ryukin. When a increasingly grumpy Smoker accidentally points at a Tetra, you politely inform him it’s not compatible with goldfish.

"Tropical fish need warm water", you explain with those beautiful, lash-heavy eyes.

So another tank would be necessary. And what about those adorable little decorations you always insist on selling? You pull out a few and place them on the counter: colored gravel, artificial plants, a tiny castle, and a treasure chest.

"What will you be taking, s-?"

"All. All ’em," he cuts you off before you can dare say "sir" again.

The following feek, his aimless finger drifts once again over the tank and lands on another goldfish. A rounder, shinier little specimen.

“Oh, a female!" You chirp in joy. "You wanna make babies, sir?”

He nearly has a heart attack. He tries to cover it up with a coughing fit, so it's the cigar that takes the hit, almost snapping in half...

Back in his office, the shelves overflow with every kind of aquatic thermometer, marine biology books, and labeled food containers (all written in your neat, sweet handwriting). Stuff that no longer fits in his damn house.

Tashigi watches him set down yet another set of bags on his desk, all stamped with the logo of your shop.

“When are you going to-”

“NO,” he barks, and a cloud of smoke billows menacingly from his mouth.

“But-”

“TASHIGI,” he slumps into his chair, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose “Just… don’t.”

my controversial opinion on knightcore fashion

or: how to dress like a knight on a daily basis without any armor so, you're a knight just like me. you're chivalrous and noble. you want some adventures, medieval literature and a sword. maybe you even want to date a prince or a princess! that's cool and then, you're searching for "knightcore fashion" to incorporate your aesthetic into your daily life and... there's nothing that fits quite right.

well, here's my take on "how to dress like a modern knight without an armor, a sword and without expensive accessories"

important note: this advices may look a little weird and confusing at first. that's okay, and I'm going to explain why: I'm doing character design for years, and I really like fashion. armorless and swordless knights are impossibly hard to design, because their key features are... armor and sword. that's what makes them recognizable. without these components an outfit may look confusing and dull alas, swords are expensive, and armor may look a little weird on you while studying. that's why I'm going to tell you how to include some secondary knighcore motifs into your outfit. it may be subtle, but the intention makes it all 1. gather some inspiration: firstly, think about yourself, your current personal style and identity. this is important, because all knights are different maybe you're a kind, noble person with a strong moral code, who prefers light clothes and golden color? then maybe paladin archetype is going to be the best for you maybe you're a pessimistic gamer goth person, and you want to keep that. then think about your favorite gothic brutal knights from dark fantasy games maybe you just like bright colors? search for some art of medieval joust armor, it's actually colorful maybe your favorite knight is Link, maybe you're the Geralt of Rivia type of person. everyone is different, so gather some unique inspiration pictures.

2. learn the basics any fashion mf knows, that there's several components of an outfit: 1. color pallete 2. silhouette 3. pattern 4. materials 5. styling (the way you put and combine items) and that's where you gonna need your inspiration pictures. analyze them, think of what's important. ask yourself questions: do I like the dark pallete? is this knitted material reminds me of something like a chain mail? does these tall boots look adventurous to me? maybe I want a bulky scarf? write it down and keep that in mind. congrats! this is your personal definition of what is knightcore fashion.

3. op's definition of knightcore fashion personally, I think that "casual knightcore" is more like an adventurecore subtype. for me, clothes like that supposed to be utilitarian and sporty, because knights tend to explore, fight with monsters and go on great adventures. I would go for hiking vibes and comfortable pieces I also would prefer to have some brown, beige and grey neutrals paired with muted green, red of dark blue. grey, metallic and silver are probably the main color for my dream casual knightcore wardrobe I wouldn't mind to add some whimsical fantasy elements, but in a subtle way. like bulky metallic jewelry with nature motifs, accessories like chunky combat boots and belts. maybe a cool DIY-ed unicorn embroidery on a jacket or pair of dagger earrings. jewelry supposed to be like a sentimental token from a lady or an artifact from a long journey also, ribbons, lace and fishnets are somehow knightcore to me?? like, recently I crocheted a oversized brown shrug for myself, and it screams chain mail in conclusion: generally, I would recommend search for some muted and natural colors, metallic jewelry, comfortable clothes for hiking, tall boots, tunik-shaped oversized shirts and huge scarfs. this is my vision of "modern knight" clothes, your vision may be different maybe I'm taking this far too serious anyway, hope that helps

the Charge potency mechanic is back, and is present in all 3 items of this release; This ID gains charge on Skills 1 and 3, and spends it on skills 1 and 2, which diverges from the standard which W/R corp id's had given us in the past

Passive:

Her passive is able to give increased damage up to 15% more damage while at 5 charge potency, While under 50% HP, gain an up to 25% additional increase to damage; Calculation is (3 x Charge Potency), and a bonus (5 x Charge Potency) under the threshold.

As all 3 charge potency passives, gain 1 charge potency for every 10 charge count spent.

Skill 1:

rolls 11 with no charge, gains 3 charge count on hit. can spend 5 Charge count for coin power, making it roll up to 15.

Skill 2:

Rolls for 16 without charge being spent. spends 10 charge to gain coin power, rolling for 22 Max. If at 5~9 Charge count, spend HP to gain necessary charge for conditional. (between 10 and 2% hp)

If in an envy resonance chain of 3+, which it should be because this is your primary source of damage, consume all charge count on self and deal (Charge potency + 4)% increased damage for every charge count this skill spent, including for the coin power conditional, to a maximum of 180% increase.

When accounting for passive, this is a 220% increase to damage from Kit alone.

Skill 3:

This Skill rolls for 16 base, theoretically at least. as this skill gives you charge, and gains coin power based on charge potency, which will be 1 by default, it's actual lowest-max roll is 19.

If used while you already have charge, this skill can roll for 20, 24, 28, and 32 at 1,2,3, and 4 charge potency respectively.

This skill on its own is able to give between 9 and 16 charge count based on potency which allows you to turn 2 your Skill 2 whilst gaining bonus damage due to the envy fragility which this skill applies.

While at 2+ Charge potency, inflict an additional Envy Fragility. While at 3+ charge potency, deal 8% increased damage on coin 4, max of 40% at 5 Potency.

This ID strikes a balance between gaining and spending charge count; The mechanic of charge potency works well with the skills 1 and 2 spending charge, rather than the skill 3 like previous ID's.

I do find that there is sometimes a difficulty in fights to gain your charge count efficiently due to your s2 being your most consistent skill, your skill 1 being slightly negative on charge, and only having 1 S3 in your deck.

Defence Skill:

Her defence skill is named charge and gives her charge.

Dimension Shredder Outis:

Shockingly this EGO is not multi coined, depsite how long the animation is. Im starting to think that this is simply a thing with Charge related EGO and ID's because i predicted for the new ID's that they would reuse coins, the W corp Outis ID that it would reuse coins, and that this EGO would be multi coined.

This EGO rolls a 30, with an offence level of +5.

if at less than 10 Charge count, take 10% non lethal HP damage to gain +10 Charge count.

Consume all charge count on use, deal 1% increased damage for every charge count spent. (Max 30%) (technically consumes up to 40 Charge count, but the highest possible count outside of MD is 30, and there is no benefit higher than 30%)

Attack Weight 4, gains attack weight based on highest resonance, up to 6 attack weight total.

My main problem with this EGO is that it cant properly function without the use of W corp Outis, not only because it wants charge to function, but also because it wants Charge POTENCY, so even if she had another charge ID it wouldnt work to full efficiency.

[On hit] Inflicts Dimensional rift, max of 2 at 3 Charge Potency.

[On Hit] Gain 1 Haste and Load (something something outis gaining a load) for each charge potency. Note that you do in fact need charge potency to gain any, as this skill will consume ALL charge count, meaning that without a potency passive your Potency will be Zero. only 3 of either can be gained per use of the skill, which means that as long as you have W corp Outis passive, and 2 avaliable targets you gain max value from this.

Skill 3:

rolls for 13 base. Gains charge count based on potency, anywhere between 10 and 19 charge count.

at 2 and 4 charge potency rolls for 17 and 21 respectively.

inflicts the photoelectricity effect on hit. inflicts same turn Blunt fragility on hit, however as he gains haste from his passive, its not as bad as some others, however it means that he cant inflict both blunt fragility and defence level down in the same turn without using multiple slots.
