Movie Review – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend
Movie Review – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend
TL;DR – A better use of the ‘choose your own adventure’ structure but it still shows the flaws with the design
Score – 3.5 out of 5 stars Post-Credit Scene – There is no post-credit scene (bar playing the film again)

Review – A while ago, Netflix dropped this weird little experiment onto its service, an episode of Black Mirror where you got to pick the direction of the story. Bandersnatch

Blu-ray review: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: The Complete Series
Blu-ray review: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: The Complete Series
Tumblr media
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is finally getting a physical media release. That’s right, cheapskates…you waited out Netflix. Mill Creek keeps low-key dropping releases I love because they’re secretly awesome. However, I find myself hesistant to heap too much praise at times. Why is that?
Well, I get that the transfers and potential special features all originate from the original producing…

Halloween 2018 is expected to start filming very soon for its October 2018 release, as it seems that the project’s working title has been revealed to be Night Blade, and now two more audition tapes have apparently surfaced featuring a pair of actors considered for different roles in the film.
After Omega Underground uncovered two audition tapes for the role of “Allyson“, featuring Chloe Csengery (who played young Katie in three Paranormal Activity movies and has appeared on Modern Family) and Allison Winn (who appeared in three episodes of Daredevil, and an episode of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), the same site has now shared two more videos they say are also auditions for the new movie.
In one of the Vimeo videos, newcomer Gunner Burkhardt (pictured above) is reading for the role of “Wesley“, and he mentions a Homecoming event as well as Halloween itself.
British actor Paul Bridges (pictured below) is seen reading for the role of “Martin“, a journalist, but then his dialog mentions “shock treatment” and the name “Horace Pinker”, who was the villain in the Wes Craven horror film Shocker. It may be that the dialog about Pinker was written for the purposes of actor auditions and has nothing to do with the new Halloween, or this “Night Blade” audition could ultimately prove to be a false lead.
We will update this story as soon as we know more, but for now, you can watch both audition videos at Omega Undergound.
The outlet further mentions Louisiana as the possible filming location this fall, though that could be outdated information, since Halloween Returns was at one time scheduled to shoot in Louisiana.
For fans of the Halloween comic books, the Night Blade title likely reminds you of the four-issue mini-series Halloween: Nightdance, which took place in 2000 between Halloween H20 and Resurrection in neighboring Russellville, Illinois. The protagonist in the comic series is a young girl named Lisa Thomas, who discovers that a secret from her past has come back to haunt her.
As  we previously reported, filming of the new Halloween movie is expected to begin this fall for its October 2018 release.
David Gordon Green (Stronger, Our Brand Is Crisis, Joe, Pineapple Express) will direct the new Halloween from a screenplay by he and Danny McBride (Alien: Covenant, Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals).
John Carpenter will executive produce and may also score the film, with Malek Akkad producing for Trancas and Jason Blum producing for Blumhouse. Green and McBride will also executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner. Zanne Devine and David Thwaites will oversee for Miramax, which is co-financing with Blumhouse.
You can read everything we know so far about Halloween 2018 here.
As I’m sure you are well aware, 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of John Carpenter’s original 1978 Halloween. It is also worth noting that the film’s release date also happens to be Michael Myers’ birthday (in 1957), according to the original franchise canon.
The new Halloween is scheduled for theatrical release on October 19, 2018.
Keep watching this site for updates on the return of Michael Myers and all the latest news on the next Halloween movie!

Sunday Snippet: Ellie Kemper
If you've ever wondered if Ellie Kemper really is as overwhelmingly positive as the characters she plays on TV, she certainly seems so. Can you overcome a (perceived) lack of talent with "pluck" alone?
And yet Corduroy Ellie did not let the doubt and fear win. As a reasonably talented person who is also part fraud, I cannot praise highly enough the virtues of enthusiasm and tenacity as substitutes for finely honed skills or intensive training. And in this book, Reader, I will tell you about the numerous times that I have made up in pluck what I have lacked in natural ability.
Some people are…

Which Cap Got You Pregnant: America or Tylenol? - Today's News: Our Take
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has given viewers many amazing and hilarious gifts over the years, and Season 4 is no exception. In addition to the many wonderful sight gags, the season’s sixth episode — the final outing in this half-season, unfortunately — features a storyline in which Xan (Dylan Gelula) worries she’s pregnant after sleeping with a guy named Capsule “Cap” Tylenol. Yes, really. He is the heir to the Tylenol fortune, obviously.
In the end, it turned out Xan wasn’t really pregnant — she’d taken a Jane the Virgin prank pregnancy test — but the entire storyline got us here at TV Guide (and even our esteemed former colleague Joyce Eng) thinking about which Cap it would be better to be impregnated by: America or Tylenol.
Let’s take a look at the contenders.
In one corner, you have this guy, Captain America (Chris Evans). He was injected with a serum during World War II that turned him into a buff super soldier.
(giphy)
In the other corner, you have this guy. His body closely resembles the scrawny kid Steve Rogers was before he became Captain America.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: The Best Jokes You Might Have Missed in Season 4
This is what Cap the soldier looks like sweaty and shirtless.
(giphy)
This is what the other guy looks like.
Here’s When You’ll Get More Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!
Cap can rip logs in half even though there is an ax right there and he was literally just using it.
(giphy)
Do you think Cap Tylenol can do that?
Captain America is 100 years old but can stop a freaking helicopter from taking off.
(giphy)
Cap Tylenol is named after these things.
(giphy)
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Is Still Wildly Funny and Clever Even as the End Approaches
Here is Cap with a magnificent beard. It caused a global meltdown.
Can the other Cap even grow a beard?
Again, here is Cap, the leader of the Avengers.
(giphy)
And here is Cap, the guy named after a pill to reduce headaches and cramps.
Honestly…
(giphy)
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s fourth season is now streaming on Netflix. Captain America is starring in your dreams.
