Sleepy Morning - Spock Ficlet
Intro: So I just wanted a sleepy morning Spock fic and I haven’t written Spock in so long and I don’t feel like finding my tag list and its super short but sweet enjoy. Was planning on posting this during Spock Week of Trekfest but didn’t know what days were what and ended up missing it. Oh whale.
Pairing: Spock x reader
-Enjoy!-
The soft warm of your bed encompassed you as you woke, the heavy blanket of sleep still a comforting lull.
You rolled over, your shoulder brushing something solid. Draping your arm over the warm chest next to you, you curled into his side and lay your leg over his.
“Do not get too comfortable, I am leaving for my shift soon.” The words were mumbled into your hair, barely audible.
You tightened your grip on him and stuffed your face into his ribs, whining a soft “noooooooo”.
Spock placed his hand over yours and sighed through his nose into your hair.
You let yourself doze off, but woke again to his feet entwining with yours.
“I must go, asha.” Spock kissed your hair, before nuzzling into it.
“Noooooo...” you moaned, pulling yourself so you lay directly on top of him, head on his chest and toes touching.
Spock exhaled through his nose, his version of a laugh, wrapping his arms around you and giving you a tight squeeze before drawing lines down your back with his fingertips.
“You know, you’re not really doing a great job of making me want to let you go to work,” you mumbled into his collarbone.
He exhaled again, dropping his hands to the side of the bed.
You groaned in displeasure. “That didn’t mean stop.”
“I must go, Y/N,” Spock said, and he slowly tipped you off his chest so you were flat on your back on the bed.
Before you could protest he dropped himself on top of you, an elbow on either side of your head, full body pressed into yours. He kissed you, deeply, dragging his fingers through your hair as he took your breath away. He swiped his tongue once over yours before pulling back.
“I will see you in the evening, for dinner,” Spock said, brushing a kiss to the corner of your mouth.
You were so dizzy with arousal and the heat of his body that you could only nod.
“Have a good day, ashayam,” he said, pressing a last kiss to your lips.
Within a second he was off you and into the bathroom.
“You too, my love,” you whispered towards the closed door, lovesick and happy and warm.

Do You Trust Me?
Intro: So this is for Trek Fest 2017 Chekov’s Week! Hosted by the ever-so-lovely @outside-the-government!
Pairing: Chekov x reader
Word Count: 3,800ish
Summary: You are sent on an away mission with young ensign Pavel Chekov and it doesn’t go as planned. When life-and-death situations and feelings mix, can you sort it all out and get to safety? What does all this mean to your and Pavel’s relationship?
A/N: So my idea for this one came from two places:
1. One of my drabbles from my 800 follower drabbles that involved Pavel and the reader who was Bones’ brother. I just love the idea so this is a little extension on the drabble!
2. Also I got a request from someone a little while ago with the prompt: "we're undercover and we HAVE to kiss to maintain our cover and oops I've just realized I'm in love with you" - The request was specifically for Jim, which I still plan on doing for Jim, but I wanted to use that idea for this one - whoops!
-Enjoy!-
“I don’t understand why they had to send me down here, I’m an engineer, not an explorer.” You grumbled as you trudged through the thick forest landscape.
“I belief that you were chosen for your expertise in identifying foreign metals.” The chirpy, heavily accented response came from the yellow-shirted ensign that was trudging beside you.
“Yeah, there seems to be so much metal around here to identify.” You droned sarcastically, gesturing to the endless span of trees and foliage.
Pavel chuckled next to you.
“What’s so funny?” You snapped, cutting through a bough of vines especially hard.
“You sound just like Dr. McCoy.” He noted, and you threw a glare to the young navigator.
“Well he is my big brother, so it’s fitting, I guess.” You grumbled.
Ducking through some branches, you picked up the pace and were a few steps in front of Pavel when you felt the whoosh of the arrow brush past your ear. Suddenly, you were hurled sideways and against the forest floor, a heavy weight on top of you.
The weight turned out to be Pavel, and his body was pressed directly on top of yours, his face hovering above yours, his breath ragged.
“Are you alright?” He worried, his eyes roaming your face for signs of injury or pain.
“Other than the fact that you are crushing me, I’m fine.” You breathed, your voice lacking the sarcastic tone that you tried to elicit.
Pavel stayed frozen on top of you, and as you heard the crunching of footsteps stalk by Pavel’s muscles tensed over you protectively, and you felt a flash of heat rush to your cheeks.
Once the threat was gone, Pavel looked back down to you, his grey-blue eyes meeting yours softly, reassuringly, and you were surprised with how little fear his gaze revealed.
“Thank you, Pavel.” You whispered, barely able to get words past your lungs.
“You do not need to thank me.” He exhaled, pushing up off you slowly and helping you sit up next to him, your bodies still hovering close together.
“Are you injured?” He brushed his fingers through the hair above your ear.
“I-I don’t think so.” You stuttered and leaned towards him instinctively.
For a second you though he might kiss you, but the moment soon passed and he was standing, leaving you breathless.
“Let’s get going.” He smiled down at you, clearly proud of the shivering mess he left you in.
“Do you trust me?" He offered his hand and tilted his head curiously.
After a second’s hesitation and a million flutters of your nervous heart you reached up and took his hand.
The jungle seemed endless as you continued through, Pavel consistently at your elbow, both of you silent except for the sound of your laboured breathing. The heat was nearly unbearable, and you quickly came to despise the transporter team for making you wear the protective thick leather jacket and heavy-duty pants.
Neither of you mentioned your almost-kiss and the fact that he had saved your life. And just as you felt like you were about to collapse in heat exhaustion, the jungle abruptly ended.
A city emerged in front of you, and you could nearly walk the line that indicated where the jungle ended and the city began. It was ragged and dusty, sharp metal buildings sprung up everywhere, stalls lining both sides of the narrow streets. People were scattered everywhere. Sellers behind the stalls, people buying and yelling and trading with them. It was like the dense forest had been traded for the city. Instead of trees there were people, and it was nearly as suffocating.
You approached the edge slowly, taking in everything, your eyes catching on all the different types of metals and structures scattered around, some that you didn’t even recognize.
“Okay, I get why they sent me down here now.” You gulped, stopping just before crossing over the threshold into the city, Pavel bumping into your shoulder at your abrupt halt.
“Let us go find the metal we came for.” Pavel said from behind you.
You looked up at him and he nodded in the direction of the nearest street. As he started forward, you stopped him with a hand on his arm before he could advance any further.
“We should be careful. See how their skin is such a bright colour compared to our? We will stick out like a sore thumb if we just dive right in. We should cover our skin first.”
“Right.” Pavel stepped in front of you and drew your hood up over your head.
The scarf that hung loosely around your neck you pulled up to cover your mouth and nose, and Pavel helped tuck the corners in under your hood.
“Okay, I can see just your eyes now.” He nodded, “What about me? I don’t have a scarf.”
You swung your backpack around to your front and dug around until you found the extra scarf you had packed, “It was going to be for any geode specimens we found, or to trade for metals, but it should work in a pinch.”
He smiled down at you as you slipped the scarf around his neck and helped arrange his disguise the same way you had with his, and soon his soft grey eyes were the only thing peeking out.
“Perfect, now just keep your hands in your pockets and we should be pretty well hidden.” Both of you tucked your hands in your pockets and you set out into the city.
It was almost overwhelming how quickly you were swept up into the hustle and bustle of the streets. Seller’s carts lined each side of the street, and you had to squeeze through what seemed like hundreds of people as you made your way through the streets. You kept your eyes peeled for any sign of the illegal metal you were sent here to look for.
You were sweating and panting under the hot sun and covered disguise, and you could hear Pavel’s quick breaths behind you. Finally, out of the corner of your eye, you saw the reddish tint of the metal you were looking for.
“There.” You said under your breath to Pavel, who followed your gaze to the stand with the metal scraps.
“We must be wery careful, Y/N,” He nudged your elbow to stop you, “It does not look so safe. It looks very dark and the man behind the counter does not look very friendly.”
You surveyed the unnaturally shady tent and the man with the large muscles and a deep scowl behind the counter.
“It’s alright, we just need to ask a few questions, maybe purchase a piece to examine. We’re not here to capture them or anything.” You tried to keep your voice as even as possible and refused to meet his eyes as you pushed off Pavel and headed towards the counter.
You tried to remember the training that Uhura, Spock, and Scotty had given you in regards to dealing with foreign exchanges and this type of rare metal. But all of a sudden your mind went blank and the voice of your concerned brother played over in your head.
"Now don't go around making anyone mad or anything, you hear?"
"Because you do that. Make people mad. For example, me, on a daily basis."
"If you get hurt I will kill you. Well I'll kill Jim first for sending you on this mission, then you. And maybe him too." Leonard gestured to Pavel.
Pavel who was pushing softly at your shoulder-blade with his elbow. You must have stopped walking.
“We can go back eef you wish. Meester Scott said if eet was too dangerous he would beam us up.” Pavel had dipped his head to your ear, and you could feel the heat radiating off his skin.
You shook your head, “I’m fine.” You mumbled and stepped forward again, pulling your shoulders up and taking a deep breath.
The man behind the counter barely lifted his eyes to look at you as you surveyes the table coolly, just as Uhura had taught you. With interest, but not with accusation, even if the metals were being manufactured by women and children slaves.
“Can I help you?” A deep, grumbly voice sounded, but you kept your eyes on the metals.
“Thess is exaactly tha type oof metals I need furr my maachine baack home. Light aand sturdy aand strong.” You slipped into the accent Uhura and you had practiced.
Using your fingertips, you played with the edge of a piece, but pulled back when you felt the man behind the counter tense.
“Where you from?” He snapped.
The name of the planet rolled off your tongue just as you’d practiced as well. A bead of sweat dripped off your eyebrow onto your cheek, making you blink a few times.
The man regarded you for a second and you made the mistake of looking up into his eyes, adrenaline flooding your system at his paralyzing gaze.
“I do not deal to humans.” He spat the word as if it stung his tongue.
“But we aare not earthlins...” You started, stuffing your hands into your pocket when you realized your error.
“I do not deal to humans. Especially not Federation scum.”
“No-”
“What is that in your bag?!” Your eyes snapped up at his angry voice, but the man’s eyes weren’t on you. They were on Pavel.
You spun on Pavel and searched his frozen face as he carefully said, “Nothing, sir.” But your eye caught on the reddish tint in his bag as he adjusted it over his shoulder.
“You are stealing. The punishment for stealing on this planet is death. Anugh, Ugtha, seize them.” The man barked, and an equally scary man and woman emerged from the shadows on command.
You backed up into Pavel and his hand caught your elbow.
“Seize them!” He demanded and a flush of panic hit you.
“Run.” The word was whispered into your ear and then yelled, “RUN!”
Pavel’s hand on your elbow was now dragging you as he darted forward. You only had a moment to hesitate before you saw a flash of movement out of the corner of your eye, the two guards, and you took off after Pavel.
The two of you surged through the crowd together, pushing past people as fast as you could, while trying not to lose sight of Pavel ahead of you. You wound down streets, skidding around corners and trying not to trip over your own two feet.
Finally, you ended up in a narrow alley and nearly slammed into the back of Pavel.
“What-?”
“Eet’s a dead end.” He turned around and you could see the worry in his eyes.
You could barely catch your breath as you searched the surrounding streets, spotting the guards at the far end of one of the stalls.
“They’re o-over there. We-we can’t-go-back.” You stuttered through heaving breaths.
“I’ll call for Meester Scott.” He reached for his com, but you stopped him.
“There’s no time, they’ll see us.” You worried, pushing his hand away and stepping closer to him.
The alley was narrow enough that with your proximity you were nearly pressing him into the wall. Both of your chests heaved, and you were overwhelmed by the dizzying warmth of the air between you two. Sweat stung your eyes and your hair was plastered to your head under the scarf and hood, but still you pressed closer to Pavel.
You took one more look to see the guards nearing your spot and you turned back to Pavel, tugging your scarf down over your mouth.
“Kiss me.” You breathed.
“Wha-?” His brows furrowed.
“Kiss me.” You tugged down his scarf, “Just do it.”
Pressing yourself fully against his chest, you were close enough that your hoods almost touched. Your heart hammering in your chest, you stuck your hands in between his hood and his cheeks to cradle his head and hide your hands. And, before you could think about it any further, you crushed your lips to his, hiding both your faces in between your hoods.
There was a moment of breathy awkwardness until he tightened his grip on your hips, sliding his hands into your pockets to hide his hands. It was awkward, but it worked.
The kiss was hot and sweaty and salty but never-the-less sent shivers down your spine as you pulled him closer, not able to get enough of his soft lips and the feeling of his body on yours. You kissed him for as long as you dared before pulling back an inch to allow you both to catch your breath.
Pulling him close again, you hugged him and tilted your head just a little so you could survey the streets.
“No sign of the guards.” You whispered.
“Then I will call Meester Scott.” Pavel’s voice sounded surprisingly strained as he removed one hand out of your pocket to grab his com, but still kept you close.
After a few curt words you felt the familiar tug of the transporter, and you instinctively kept your tight grip on Pavel as the world faded away and the blinding metal of the transporter room appeared.
You stepped back from him as soon as you could, but you couldn’t tear your gaze from his eyes. That was until the sound of your brother’s voice echoed through the room.
“What the hell was that, Y/N?” His dark haired, blue-shirted form appeared in your line of vision as you wrenched your eyes from Pavel’s.
“That was us, you know, not dying?” You offered, but you had no energy to be snarky.
“Well you got a little to close for my liking.” Leonard grumbled, stepping closer and scanning you with a tricorder.
“’m fine, Len.” You brushed him off, stepping off the platform when pain suddenly lanced through your leg.
“Like hell you are.” He knelt in front of you and used a pair of medical scissors to cut off your pant leg at the knee, revealing a nasty gash that was still oozing blood.
You hissed as he pressed a piece of gauze to it.
“I deedn’t notice you were injured, Y/N, you should haff said something.” It was a soft voice now, Pavel, who you had forgotten about for a moment.
Peeling your eyes open, you looked at him, an expression of worry and concern laced over his features as he tugged his hood down and pushed a hand through his unruly curly hair.
“It’s okay, Pavel, “You assured, “I didn’t even notice, must have been the adrenaline and all. I don’t even know when it happened.”
“Let’s get you down to the medbay, this’ll need a few rounds of the dermal regenerator.” Leonard stood and moved to hook your arm over his shoulder.
Addressing Pavel, Leonard tipped his head, “You alright, kid?”
Pavel nodded, “Yessir.”
“Of course you are.” Leonard mumbled sarcastically and before you could defend Pavel he was dragging you out the door and down the hall towards the medbay.
“I’m fine, Len. I don’t need to stay the night here. You already wouldn’t let me go to my quarters to shower, and I had to use the tiny one here. You owe me. I just want to curl up in my bed and go go sleep.”
“Fine. Go. But I want to see you here tomorrow for a check-up.” Leonard grumped and stalked out of the patient room you had been assigned, leaving you alone.
“Sure thing, doc!” You called grumpily, feeling especially irritated.
You wanted nothing more than to curl up in your bed and go to sleep for the next eternity, so you gathered your items from the room and walked out into the bustling medbay.
As you headed for the doors, a flash of motion caught your eye and you turned to see Pavel, who had stood up as you passed. He was still dressed in his mission outfit, with dirt and dust covering the outside and streaks of it still on his face. His eyes were worried, tired, and your heart melted a little at the sight of him.
“Y/N. How are you feeling? I am sorry that you got injured, I deedn’t know, I was focused on getting avay from those guards. I am sorry.” He dug his toe into the ground as he spoke, and wrung his hands in front of him.
“It’s okay, Pavel. It’s not your fault.” You sighed, you were so tired. “Have you been waiting here the whole time?”
He nodded, “I wanted to make sure you were okay.” His voice was soft, apologetic.
“You didn’t have to.” You rubbed your eyes and yawned, “You could have at least gone and showered or something.”
He didn’t respond except to scratch the back of his neck and look over at you. The memory of that heated, salty kiss in the alley flashed through your mind and you straightened your shoulders a little bit.
“Did you want to come to my room and shower? You can stay the night if you want.” You offered, something about being so sleepy making you brave.
“No he can’t.” Leonard’s voice sounded behind you as he walked by, a tray in hand, and disappeared into a patient’s room.
“Yes you can. If you want to, I mean.” You corrected, throwing a glare in Leonard’s direction before turning back to Pavel.
“I, yes, I would like that, but I thought… well… I thought maybe…” He trailed off.
“You thought what?” You questioned and stepped forwards.
“That maybe you do not like me? Because I got us in trouble, I got you injured.”
You shook your head, your heavy eyelids nearly forcing your eyes shut, “I like you, Pavel. I kissed you, remember?”
He dropped his hands to his side and gazed innocently at you, “I remember. I just thought maybe that was just so we could escape. I deed not know if eet meant anything.”
“That was part of it, but I do like you, Pavel. More than I thought I would, to be honest with you.” You cursed your exhausted brain for not filtering your words, “I don’t just go around kissing people, even if it is a life or death situation.” You took a breath, “Question is, do you like me back?”
You stared into his soft grey eyes for what seemed like an eternity, and you were about to turn and walk away, hurt, but then he nodded. Just the slightest inclination of his head, but it was accompanied by a furious reddening of his cheeks and you knew what your answer was.
“Come on, you need a shower, you look like you’ve been wrestling a donkey on a dusty road. And I’m about to fall asleep standing up, so let’s go.” You extended your hand towards him, palm up. “Pavel, come to bed with me.”
He looked at it for a second before meeting your eyes.
“Do you trust me?” You teased and finally a smile reached his lips.
His fingers, warm and soft, entwined with yours and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
A gentle feeling of safety washed over you as you walked together back to your room, and you realized that despite everything, despite your past, you trusted him.

Not The Only Ones

Intro: So this is for Sulu week of Trek Fest 2017! Hosted by the ever-lovely @outside-the-government! This is also my first Sulu fic ever so be gentle.
Pairing: Sulu x reader
Word Count: 1,213
Summary: Just Sulu fluff. Ain’t nobody got time for a summary.
-Enjoy!-
There were children aboard the Enterprise.
A whole swarm of them. A hoard? Gaggle? Flock? Who the hell knows. There were a bunch of them. And for some god-forsaken reason you were put in charge of them.
An away mission earlier that morning had involved rescuing a daycare full of small children from a lizard-monster. They were transported on board to save them, and the bridge crew were currently working on contacting the colony to ensure their safe return. They just had to get rid of the lizard-monster first.
The captain had approached you when they were transported and didn't give you time to get the words "I have never held a child" out before he was clapping you on the shoulder and leaving you with the transporter room full of screaming children. He claimed that you were his first choice for this duty, but you knew it was because you were in the transporter room at the time and you were the first person he saw. And so you were put in charge.
You didn't like kids. Never knew what to do with them. But here you were. In the observatory room with a gaggle of children. With one on your hip gnawing on your shoulder and the rest of them screaming.
"Shhh... No, wait! Stay here! Don't touch that!" You tried to round up the children and keep them in the observatory, but it was proving very difficult.
They didn't seem to speak English, and were chattering and screaming and crying in whatever language they spoke, which made you extremely frustrated.
"No! Don't hit each other! Stop that!" You nearly dropped the child in your arms as you stooped over to pull one child off the other to stop them from fighting.
Two of the older children decided to turn on you at that moment and began to kick at your ankles and yell at you in their strange language.
"AGH! No, please! Guys!" You fended off the tiny attack, and as if to add insult to injury, the little one in your arms started to cry.
"Oh no, please don't cry, you're okay." You bounced up and down as you continued to gently push the attacking children away.
"Need some help?"
You spun at the sudden voice and nearly cried in relief when you saw the pilot, Hikaru Sulu, stepping into the room.
"Oh god, Hikaru, YES." Any other time you would have been mortified by the sexual innuendo in your words and tone, but as the child in your arms started to pull on your hair, you couldn't think too much about it.
"Here, let me take her." He walked up with a soft smile on his face and eased the screaming child out of your arms.
"Thank you." You exhaled, and felt yourself relaxing a little, as you always did when Hikaru was around.
Hikaru seemed to have the same effect on the child in his arms, as she already stopped crying and was settling into his shoulder.
"Boys. Enough." Hikaru snapped, his voice a command, not threatening, and the boys instantly stopped fighting.
You watched in amazement as he knelt down in front of a small girl who had been screaming the whole time, and spoke to her softly, and as her tears subsided she gave him a hug. You wondered if she understood him or if she was just soothed by his presence.
"Maybe you should go get them a snack and some juice, they're probably hungry." Hikaru turned to you and you nodded, turning and stepping out of the rooms towards the kitchen.
You gathered some food that you thought children might like and carried the tray back to the observatory.
When the doors slid open, you were amazed to find all of the children sitting in a half-circle on the floor, Hikaru sat in the center, and he was making them laugh by some silly faces he was making. You sidled up next to Hikaru and he gave you another heart-melting smile as you started to distribute the snacks.
The next few hours you spent working with Hikaru and the kids, settling them and entertaining them, and you were actually enjoying yourself.
"I think they're getting tired Y/N, maybe we can fashion some beds out of comforters and extra pillows." Hikaru suggested and even you started to notice the kids rubbing at their eyes and yawning.
You nodded and set up the beds, tucking the kids into each one, and soon they were all fast asleep.
After tucking the last child in, you stroked his short dark hair softly and went to join Hikaru who was sitting against the wall, the small girl that you had passed off to him earlier curled into his arms. You watched him for a moment as he rocked the baby, who was sleepily playing with the Starfleet insignia on his shirt until her hand dropped as she fell asleep. Hikaru smiled down at the little girl as he set her on the makeshift bed next to him.
You approached him now, moving to sit beside him, backs against the wall.
"You're amazing with them." You whispered as Hikaru continued to stroke the baby's back.
"Hmm?" He hummed and looked over to you.
"The kids, you're amazing with them."
A small smile pulled at his lips, "Thanks."
"How do you know how to do all that stuff?"
"What stuff?
"The kid stuff." You crossed your legs and your knee bumped his gently.
He chuckled, "I don't know. I had a lot of experience with kids growing up, lots of cousins and all. And they always just seem to like me."
"They're not the only ones." You mumbled to yourself.
"Pardon me?" He leaned closer so he could hear you.
"Nothing."
You sat in silence for another few moments, just enjoying each other's presence, until you spoke again softly and as sincerely as possible, "You're going to make a really great dad someday, Hikaru."
He met your eyes with a serious gaze, "You think so?"
You smiled, "Absolutely."
He seemed to consider this for a moment before smiling, "Thanks, Y/N."
Before you could say anything else, another crew member walked in the door to relieve you while the kids slept.
Hikaru offered to walk you back to your rooms, and you enjoyed walking next to him in silence through the halls.
When you reached your door, you paused and turned to him.
"Well I guess I'll see you..." You started but were cut off when his lips pressed into yours softly, a quick, sweet kiss.
His cheeks reddened and he looked as flustered as you had ever seen him, his hand on his back of his neck, "Sorry, I just... I had to..."
"It's okay." You smiled, feeling giddiness drip down to your toes as you took a step closer to him.
"It's just, you were so sincere with me and I couldn't help but..."
Now it was your turn to interrupt him with a kiss. This one a little longer, and his hand found your hip.
"You don't need to explain, Hikaru."
"Oh." His breath was hot on your face.
"Would you like to come in? I can make us a cup of tea."
"That would be lovely."

Motivation Ficlets - Scotty

Intro: Another motivation-y ficlet for you! I was feeling really sicky today and realized I needed a sweet Scotty hug!
I AM 100% CONVINCED THAT SCOTTY IS THE BEST HUGGER OF ALL TIME IF YOU DISAGREE I WILL ACTUALLY FIGHT YOU
Just another pick-me-up fic. <3
Word Count: 657
Pairing: Scotty x reader (and I tried to keep this as gender neutral as possible so I don’t have Scotty saying “lass” or “lad” which was actually really difficult lol)
-Enjoy!-
Somehow, despite your shaking hands and watery eyes, you made it to the engineering room.
Ducking under low beams and curving around big metal boilers, you followed the sound of upbeat music that drifted out of a radio, which you knew was Scotty's. Finally you saw the familiar red shirt and wispy red-brown hair and you nearly broke down right there. You managed to get your feet to carry you forward and Scotty lifted his head when he saw you, a big smile on his face.
"Y/N? What're you doin' here?" The familiar lilt of his accent made you lip quiver and you crossed your shaking arms over your chest.
"Well, I..." You sniffed, your voice lost in the loud music, the air getting caught in your lungs.
"Are you alright?" His voice, a lot softer now and you managed to meet his whiskey brown eyes, brows furrowed with concern as he tapped his PADD and shut the music off.
You shook your head and felt your face drop as a sob escaped you and dropped your chin to your chest, feeling the hot tears slide down your cheeks and drip to the floor.
"Oh, hey, what's the matter?" Scotty neared you and you felt his hesitation, his cautiousness, and you knew him, he was just trying to figure out what to do so he wouldn't make the situation worse.
Gasping sobs escaped you and you knew exactly what you needed right now, the one thing you had thought about this entire, very long, very demanding day, so you reached out to his chest, leaning into him. A soft 'oh' escaped him as you nuzzled your face into his shirt, pressing into his collarbone, and very quickly his arms came around you, understanding that you wanted a hug, and pulling you tightly to him. One hand held you firmly around your waist, the other sliding up and cradling your head, holding your face to his chest.
"Okay, love." He soothed between your sobs, and you trembled despite the snug embrace.
Scotty rocked slightly and tightened his grip, whispering a chorus of, "Shhh.." and "I'm here, Y/N." and "It's alright." into your hair.
You loved Scotty's hugs, lived for them, and he gave them freely, excessively, once you had gotten to know him well. And today had been so exhausting and taken such an emotional toll that you realized you needed something else to hold you together for a while, and this did the trick perfectly.
He thumbed at the skin of your neck, right below your ear, and pressed a soft kiss to your temple, a kiss you found yourself leaning in to as you took a few cycling breaths to begin to calm yourself down.
Scotty held you for what seemed like hours, just standing there, whispering sweet nothings and stroking his calloused thumb across your skin until you were finally able to gain your breath again. You pushed away gently, eventually, but Scotty's arms didn't fall away, just settled on your upper arms as he studied your probably red face and puffy eyes. You smoothed out the wrinkles you had left on his shirt and met his gaze, giving him a weak smile.
"Do you want to see what I've been working on?" Scotty whispered, a smirk playing at his lips and he gave your arms a quick squeeze.
His excitement brought a real smile to your lips and you nodded. He lead you over to his workstation, sitting you down on a stool, not letting his hands leave you until he was sure you weren't going to topple off.
Then he stepped back and gave you the biggest smile, jumping right in to explaining this new exciting thing he was manufacturing. And though you had no idea what any of it meant, you loved Scotty's endless rambling, his electric excitement actually soothing you, and you felt yourself relax for the first time that day.

Intro: So this is another drabble (I know I haven’t posted one in a while) and it is for the lovely @8bit-arc-reactor who messaged me with the request.
The colour for this one is red and the prompt was “I love you, you asshole.”
I wrote a whole other drabble but felt the story was more Jim than Bones so I am probably going to turn it into a fic for Jim.
Pairing: Bones x reader Word Count: 649
-Enjoy!-
"We need to talk." Leonard grabbed you by the waist and swung you unwillingly into the nearest broom closet.
"What the hell, Bones? I have patients to see." You grumbled, reaching for the doorknob, but he blocked your way.
You crossed your arms over your chest and looked at him through furrowed brows.
"What was with you last night, Y/N?" He asked, mirroring your stance and crossing his arms.
You groaned internally, shutting your eyes. You had hoped he wasn't going to bring it up, "Nothing, Bones, nothing, okay?"
"Sure, if nothin' means 'I'm-going-to-fight-everyone'." He sounded pissed now.
"So I yelled at a few guys, what's the big deal, you're not my father." You frowned.
Leonard looked exasperated and began to pace in the small closet, which made you feel suddenly very claustrophobic.
"You didn't just yell, darlin', you got into a fist-fight and I had to pull you off one of the crewman so you wouldn't break every damn bone in his face!" As he explained, his voice threaded with malice, the memories came back in bits and pieces.
Shit.
"I-I..." You started, dropping your hands to your sides, playing with the hem of your uniform.
"And then I had to carry you back to the medbay, use the dermal regenerator on your knuckles, and tuck you into bed." Leonard was furious now, pacing back and forth like a madman, his eyes on the floor.
"DAMNIT WILL YOU STOP PACING!" You yelled and he stopped in his tracks, looking over at you with annoyance.
"Look, I'm sorry," You approached him, and you tried to keep your tone neutral, "I'm sorry I'm such a big hassle. It's not like stitching people up is your job or something."
"Dear god, you're nearly as stubborn as I am." Leonard moaned and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Well at least I'm not an asshole." You jabbed.
When Leonard didn't respond your rolled your eyes and reached for the doorknob, "Well, if we're done here I..."
"Do you remember what you said when I tucked you into your bed?" Leonard's voice was much softer now, almost strained.
You turned to face him, suddenly nervous as you searched your brain for what you said, "No..."
"You said you loved me." Leonard said, as if it was as plain and simple as that.
"I-I did?" Though you weren't surprised, when you were drunk the truth spills out of you like a river during a rainstorm.
Leonard nodded tersely and you suddenly wished you could read his mind.
"Oh." Was all you could manage to say.
The tension in the room was palpable, and you knew there was something unsaid between the two of you.
After a few moments you decided to end this painful silence and snapped at him, "Well I'm sorry that I said that, okay? It's not my fault that I get real truthful when I drink."
"So it's true?" Leonard's voice was small, intrigued.
You blinked at him, just then realizing that you had ruined everything.
Well it’s now or never.
"Fine. I do. I love you, you asshole." You grumbled, meaning to turn and dash out of the room, your cheeks red with embarrassment.
"Oh thank god." You heard Leonard whisper and were stopped by his hands on your shoulders. Then on your neck. Then tangled in your hair.
Your protests were silenced by his lips on yours.
You were startled by the sudden kiss, almost forgetting to breathe due to the sudden flush of sensation that his hands and lips were eliciting. You lost all restraint and wound your arms around his waist, pulling him closer.
He pressed you up against the closed door and broke the kiss softly, his face inches from yours.
"I love you too." He breathed, tucking a lock of hair behind your ear sweetly.
"Oh thank god." You mimicked, pulling him down into another passionate kiss.
-Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it!-
23??/20
Below is my rationale for the use of the colour red in this story:
So I think the use of colour here is pretty obvious. Red in the anger and hostility between Leonard and the reader. Red in the embarrassment that the reader feels when confronted. Red in the first kiss that the two share.

Rainbow Reading Week Drabbles
Hello there! So I guess I am celebrating a little thing called 400 FOLLOWERS!!
DRABBLES ARE CLOSED SORRY LOVELIES
Oh my sweet Russian Pavel Checkov you guys are amazing. I am loving all the love and all the Star Trek all of the time!
Enough of that well I have seen so many others doing drabbles and little fics and such and I just had to join in on all the fun!
So this coming week is a break week for me that us kids in Canada call Reading Week (just like spring break or march break or whatever). And I am super excited just to get away from school a little bit and relax.
And by relax I mean write a shit-ton of Star Trek fanfiction. Y’all get it, right?
So in honour of 400 followers and Reading Week I will be doing drabbles! YAY! I literally want to write as much as humanly possible and not think about anything else other than Star Trek for the entire week (which is pretty much what is happening now anyway).
Rules:
I wanted to put my own spin on drabbles and every time I write a fic it kinda has a colour set that it follows, to set the scene of the fic (it’s just how my brain works).
So basically below I have listed a bunch of colours (I know you all know your colours I just needed to set some parameters) with some emotions and physical traits that go along with them. I will take the colour given to me and write a story based off the colour, using it as kind of a setting for my story, the trait of the colour up to my choosing. For example if you gave me RED, I could choose to write a story where the character is angry, or where they are in love, or where they are bleeding. You get it?
I also listed a bunch of prompts to choose from.
Please (if you wanna) send me a colour and a prompt or two along with a character from Star Trek AOS/TOS (I have not reached out into other fandoms yet, though Avengers is calling me a little). I will try to combine them and make you a little story as best I can (my fics are generally lengthier than I anticipate so these may be short one-shots but I will try to keep them under 1000 words).
I am going to try to do as many as possible so lets start with 20 max because I have no idea how many people are gonna respond and why the hell not? This is my first time doing this kind of thing so I am kinda just gonna go with it and figure it out along the way. :)
Colours and prompts are below (to save your dash from this long post).
Red:

Blood, anger, passion, emotion, slipping into a dream, fire, deep love, heart break, lover’s lips, adrenaline, heat, danger, medicine.
Orange:

Enthusiasm, fascination, deceit, creativity, a cold popsicle on a hot day, success, jumping-up-and-down-in-your-chair excitement, shifty eyes.
Yellow:

Sunshine, happiness, hesitancy, spinning around in a field until you fall down, smiles from your lover, a first kiss, caution, leader.
Green:

Fresh cut grass, a sly smile, teasing, hearty laughter, growth, safety, sitting in the dirt, healing, a walk in the forest, jealousy, greed.
Blue:

The cold sea, tears shed, sadness, trust, deep conversations, intellect, confidence, wisdom, health, integrity, sparkling eyes.
Purple:

Royalty, sunsets, skipping stones, luxury, depth, the touch of a lover’s hand mystery, giggling, the swoosh of a fancy dress.
White:

Innocence, light, fragility, the mug you sip coffee from in the morning, perfection, the moment before a kiss, fear, cleanliness, a untouched snowfall.
Black:

Terror, sleep, confusion, lying on your back watching the night sky, lonliness, death, cuddling and watching a movie, evil, strength, a glare.
It took me an absurdly long amount of time to do that (especially to find a star trek related picture that contained the colour purple) so I hope you like it lol.
Prompts:
”Am I supposed to be scared of you?”
“You can’t leave me in the dark, you have to tell me these things.”
“You had me at “free pizza”.”
“You walked away. Not me”.
“You didn’t tell me it was karaoke night…”
“You heard me. Take. It. Off.” (sidenote: already thinking strip poker here)
“You know, it’s okay to cry.”
“Why are you covered in mud?”
“When I come back, that better be exactly where you found it!”
“Who gave you that black eye?”
“Why are you up so early?”
“Will you just shut up for a moment so I can say something nice to you?”
“You are nothing like them.”
“What other hidden talents do you have?”
“Who’s gonna stop me, you?”
“Why choose me?”
“Will you please just give me a hand?”
“When are you going to realize I don care?!”
“There are plenty of people out there who love you.” “Like who?” “Like me.”
“W… Was that you making that noise?”
“Wake up! Please wake up!”
“Wanna bet?”
“Wanna dance?”
“The way you flirt is shameful.”
“Shit, are you bleeding?”
“Tell me a secret.”
“Stop taking pictures! I’m fucking stuck. Be useful and help me!”
“Stop talking about love for a minute and help me with this bullet wound.”
“Oh my god. You’re in love with her!”
“Make a wish!”
“Let’s do something wild and crazy!”
“Meet me on the bridge in an hour.”
“IF YOU USE UP ALL THE HOT WATER ONE MORE TIME I’M GOING TO BAN YOU TO THE COUCH FOR A MONTH!”
“Is that a challenge?”
“Is there a special reason why you are wearing my shirt?”
“I’m sick of being useless!”
“I’m starting an idiot jar. Any time you do or say anything idiotic, you have to put at least a dollar in it - more depending on how stupid the thing that you said was.”
“I love you, you asshole.”
“I swear it was an accident.”
“I just need you to do this one thing for me.”
“I really need you here for me right now.”
“I can’t let you do that.”
“I can’t start over again.”
“H-How long have you been standing there?”
“Everyone keeps telling me you’re the bad guy.”
I got all my prompts from this beautiful list here if you want to browse for different ones (if you do use a different prompt please write it out, don’t just give me a number if its not on the list above haha).
Please do not be afraid to participate!
If you don’t want to include a colour? Whatever! Just send me a prompt and a character. If you don’t like the prompts on the list? Give me one you come up with (you are brilliant so it shouldn’t be hard) or just send me a colour and a character (a little harder on my part but I can work with it)!
Do not be afraid to request something if you want it. I am a very accepting and welcoming person (as are all the people in this fandom) and I will let you know if something isn’t going to work for me, though I usually can work with anything.
Thanks loves!

Intro: So this one is for the lovely @aphfangirl with the prompt: “It’s okay. You don’t have to love me.” and the colour grey.
In my defense I thought this one was going to be a lot different than what it came out to be. But as I was thinking about this drabble I had this distinct picture of the reader in a wedding dress, crying, and Jim coming in wearing a grey suit. So it’s what I wrote. I hope its okay!
Pairing: Jim x reader
Word Count: 812
-Enjoy!-
With shaking hands you slid the white fabric onto your body.
“Hey, can we talk?”
Smoothing the hand over the dress, you fisted your hands in the lacey fabric.
“You know I never want to hurt you, right?.”
You stuffed the heel of your hands into your eyes, willing away the impending tears.
“I just, I don’t think I can do it.”
Dragging your fingers through your hair, your breath caught in your chest.
“Do what?”
Tears flowed now, tracking down your cheeks and dripping onto your dress.
“Marry you.”
Sliding to the floor, you buried your face in your hands, your dress billowing out around you and you leaned back against the wall.
“I’m sorry. It’s not that I don’t care about you, it’s just…”
“Just that you don’t love me.”
“I’m sorry.”
You heard the swish of the door opening, and you tried to calm your shaking limbs.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to love me.”
A flash of a grey suit, blonde hair, and blue eyes caught your attention and you looked up.
“Jim.” You squeaked.
“You don’t have to love me.”
“Hey.” A soft voice.
“You don’t have to.”
You looked up at Jim with watery eyes, his silhouette nearing you.
“Love me.”
A finger under your chin, blue eyes near centimeters from yours, snapping you out of your memory.
“Hey.” Jim repeated from his squatted position in front of you.
“It’s supposed to be my wedding day today.” You let out a watery laugh.
“I know, Y/N, I’m sorry.” He whispered, tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear.
“I-I couldn’t get my dress done up, will you help me?” You asked, moving to get up.
Jim’s hand on your shoulder stopped you and he knelt down in front of you, indicating for you to lean forward and he slipped his hands around you. In a quick movement, he zipped up the zipper on the back of your dress, as you stared at the fabric of suit.
“What’s with the fancy getup?” You mused, smoothing your shaking hands down his suit front as he pulled back.
“I should be asking you the same thing,” He pulled at the fabric of your dress with a soft smile before answering your question, “I have a meeting later with Starfleet Officials.” He sat down now, cross-legged, in front of you.
“You should be getting ready for that, shouldn’t you?”
“I just wanted to check up on you.” He reached forward and thumbed at your cheek.
You tried to get the words, ‘I’m fine’, past your lips, but the lump in your throat wouldn’t allow it.
“That damn idiot, doesn’t know what he lost.” Jim looked sad as he moved his hand to your shoulder.
A minute nod was all could manage before you lost all composure again. You leaned forward and stuffed your face into Jim’s shoulder, and quickly his arms came around you, pulling you into his lap, cradling you in his arms.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Y/N.” Jim soothed, holding your head to his chest.
“I just feel so stupid-”
“Don’t say that.” You tilted your head up and met Jim’s bright blue eyes as he admonished you, “Don’t say that, this is all him. All his fault. You didn’t do a damn thing wrong. He was just a lying, cheating asshole.”
You nodded up at Jim, another tear sneaking down your face, and Jim brushed it away with his thumb, “What’d I do to deserve you, Jim?”
A heavy tension set in the air and you watched Jim, his eyes not leaving yours, his mouth opening and closing gently.
“C'mon. Enough moping.” Jim said decidedly and began to tip you out of his lap.
“Wha-? Jim?” You protested but he interrupted you as you stood.
“Let’s go somewhere. A cabin in the woods, a beach by the ocean, a road trip that lasts for a week, I don’t know. Let’s go somewhere.” Jim had stepped away from you and was waving his arms, a very serious look on his face.
“What are you talking about?”
“That idiot doesn’t deserve a second thought, let alone you crying over him and wearing that beautiful dress. So let’s go somewhere. Let’s make this a happy day.”
“Don’t you have a meeting-”
“Screw the meeting.”
You were absolutely speechless. Here you were, in your wedding dress, on your supposed-to-be wedding day, bawling your eyes out, standing in front of a man that you had feelings for forever, a spontaneous trip proposal hanging in the air. What were you supposed to do?
“Yes.” The word left your lips without you telling it to.
Jim’s head snapped up and the corner of his mouth turned upwards.
“Yes. Let’s go. Somewhere, anywhere!” You were giddy now, and approached Jim, who looked at you like you were crazy.
“Alright.” Jim smiled now and took your hand.
“Let’s go.”
-Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it!-
