You know Sterek has been frequently 'cancelled' and attacked for basically being the most popular ship in the TW world, right?

Because of the age gap between them, right? Well, I have to complain about it, because it really pisses me off that they're discarding the beautiful, slow-burning love story that exists between Stiles and Derek in CANON. Because damn it, they liked each other.

It bothers me that they tarnish Sterek's image for things like being a "pedo" ship when NO, they're not. They're trying to lump us all into a "sick shipper" category.

If we're being honest, Sterek has probably been the story with the most backstory, where we've seen how each season has seen the closeness between Stiles and Derek grow, where they've gone from 'hating each other and having to deal with each other because of Scott' to genuinely caring for each other to the point where Derek would take a bullet for Stiles or Stiles would go against the entire FBI to protect and get Derek out of whatever mess he was in.

They care deeply and genuinely for each other, so much so that Derek preserved and fixed Stiles' Jeep, keeping it in his garage as a sort of memento or anchor for him.

It bothers me so much that they talk shit about Sterek when this couple exists:

sorry but parrish/lydia was a canon pairing between a teenager and an ADULT and if that wasn't enough, an adult from the sheriff's department.

Why aren't people talking about this more? Why are they attacking Sterek instead? Sterek: a couple that wasn't canon during the show's run, and we only got confirmation of feelings for each other through the actors and through obvious hints in the show. But directly, it was never a canon couple between a teenager and an adult guy. They were together.

I put the adult that way because Derek's age was never confirmed as such. At the beginning of the series, Stiles says Derek is only a couple of years older than him and Scott. So at the beginning of the series, Derek was between 18 and 19 years old. But later on, they address the fire, so they change the age again, but they never say exactly how old he is, so canonically Derek could be 2 to 5 years older than Stiles. You choose what age gap to give them.

While Lydia, about 17, and Jordan Parish, over 20, are a CANON couple.

Anyway, hypocrisy and homophobia, right?

But there is a VERY important theme between the Derek/Stiles relationship, which if you ask me made the possibility of a relationship between the two of them impossible while Stiles was still a high school student and perhaps only when Stiles was older could something exist between them.

The existence of this damn bitch and what she did to Derek.

I hate her as much as you do, and it disgusts me to have to watch Teenage Derek with her.

But it's important to what I wanted to say; it's why I think Derek repressed his feelings for Stiles.

According to the Teen Wolf book, Kate was Derek's substitute swim teacher, who used certain hormones and scents to attract the teenage Derek to her. YES, that was not only a relationship rife with manipulation, power imbalances, and pedophilia, but she also ended up orchestrating the murder of Derek's family at a moment of vulnerability for Derek because Paige's death hadn't happened long before.

We all know Derek blames himself for the death of his family, and he hates Kate. He knows what she did to him. He knows he was manipulated by an older woman and that he fell for her.

Derek has serious trust and self-confidence issues.

He doesn't believe he's worthy of love or peace.

His anchor until Season 2 was anger because his life was infested with anger/hate/rage.

So he sees himself as something bad, something that hurts, someone who destroys what he loves. He's a victim of sexual abuse, even though he doesn't admit it.

But Stiles became that little glimmer of light annoying, but a light in his dark life filled with negative things. Stiles earned his trust. Stiles fought every step of the way and broke down that wall Derek built around himself to keep people away from him, because trust means giving someone the power to hurt you. Oh well, Derek's mind worked that way. Unbeknownst to him, Stiles earned that trust.

And that's where we have this scene.

This is where Derek lets us see how important Stiles has become to him, Stiles became his anchor.

At this point, it's undeniable that Derek already has feelings for Stiles. He trusts Stiles blindly. But then, why didn't Derek do anything to have Stiles? Because Derek is a victim of sexual abuse by a woman who took advantage of him in high school. And Derek never dealt with that trauma, or we were never shown to have it that way.

Derek dates women, of course—Jennifer (who also manipulated him), Braeden, etc.—whose relationships didn't end well or were never serious.

But not with Stiles, because Stiles is like that extremely important thing where he can't ruin that connection they have, he can't taint or sully this relationship he has with Stiles. It's too important to Derek. Plus, the untreated traumas surrounding his abuser are a clear impediment to starting something real, something serious. And everything seems to indicate that Stiles is THAT person his unconscious heart has chosen.

That is, to start any romantic relationship with Stiles, Derek has to face all of his demons, all of his traumas first, in order to give Stiles what he believes Stiles deserves.

Kate ruined Derek's heart and mind a lot, plus Derek already had a wounded and bleeding heart since Paige.

So, a relationship as such didn't exist in the series between S/D, and it was quite unlikely that it would, but the feelings were always there.

That's why I don't understand why they keep attacking a couple who has SO MUCH backstory, and who if they ever dated, it was definitely when they were already adults and able to deal with their own issues.

The sheriff's line about the jeep and Derek always makes me think that the sheriff was always aware and noticed everything. He never disapproved; on the contrary, he supported them, because he knows there's no one who deserves each other more than those two. It was also a clear confirmation that Derek always had feelings for Stiles, complicated feelings he didn't know how to address, but whose feelings led him to treasure and fix Stiles's jeep.

My theory is that once Stiles and Lydia broke up ( I'm guessing 2/3 years later), Stiles eventually moves closer to Beacon Hills to be closer to his dad cos it's so obvious that Stiles has always been worried about his father's health and losing him.

In addition I think another career alternative or a career change ( eventually) for Stiles would be that he'd do the same job that Braeden does( which im still unclear about what her job exactly is) , with Derek occasionally joining him.

I believe that Derek stayed with Cora for the first 3 to 5 years of Eli's birth cause u know damn well Cora isn't gonna let him raise her nephew alone .

Somewhere along the way when Derek starts worrying about Eli being a werewolf and his shift, he decides to move back to Beacon Hills.

Stiles and Derek meet after years and talk, Stiles loves Eli and so does Noah. Eventually Derek and Stiles get to talking about their feelings and date while sort of have a co parenting thing gng , which explains why Noah is so close to Derek and Eli in the movie.

Which is why i think all the deputies also know that when Stiles is away on his work trips or away for work, Eli copes by stealing his jeep.

“so you also… see people?” suddenly too knowing. “alphas. or just guys.”

“no,” derek says. “no one.”

“so it’s like a one-way open thing,” stiles says. “like, give her her freedom, maybe.”

derek shrugs.

“i get it,” stiles says. “i think. kind of… repayment, for what alphas used to be.” shaking his head, a little. “i just think i’d go insane.” eyes on him again. “so that’s why… with me.”

derek rolls his burning eyes again. “i just like you.”

“yeah, but like,” stiles says. “recreationally. for rebalancing.”

derek doesn’t understand this conversation anymore.

“but you’re sorry,” he says.

“yeah,” stiles says. “cheating is really shitty. and it feels really shitty. to be cheated on.”

new tension in his throat. “you’re not seeing anybody.”

“yeah,” stiles says. “not now.”

and nothing makes sense again. “you do know you’re not actually married to lydia martin.”

“yeah, but if you know… like, how it’s gonna be. eventually,” stiles says. “and you like, lead people on. even though you know you’re wasting their time, already.”

derek goes hot. feels nothing at all. “oh.”

“you’re with an omega,” stiles says. “you’re just—because she’s distracted, maybe.”

maybe. “let’s stop talking.”

“alpha instincts,” stiles says. “there’s no way that’s not what you really want.”

Eli and Stiles' jeep

I've been thinking recently and I have a few theories about Eli in general and why, at the end of the movie, the Sheriff gives him Stiles' jeep.

Number one:

Maybe, since Stiles isn't in the movies and we all know how many people in the Teen Wolf fandom likes him, the director though that it would've been a good idea to put in the movie another character to 'replace' Stiles.

Cause if you look close enough to the two of them, Eli and Stiles have so many similarities or even scenes in common.

Eli, as we all well know, have the same sarcasm style as Stiles (and let me say, no he didn't take it from Peter even tho he is sarcastic too. Peter is way more passive aggressive with his tongue)

Eli has a very similiar fashion style to Stiles (maybe they even wear some clothes that are the same - but I haven't investigated that so this is all an hypothesis)

Do you remember the famous flashback Stiles had while he explained how he helped Derek evade the FBI's scanners and radars? Well, after he explained it 'wrong' Derek corrected him, reminding him how he had to be carried out by Derek cause he shot his foot. And that same scheme of action -Derek carrying Stiles around while he whines in pain - comes back in the movie. Derek carrying Eli the same way after he sprained his ankle and whining to his father to put him down.

They also act very similiar if not the same. The expressiveness, the exaggerated hands gestures, the 'let me say this crap in the wrong moment' kinda attitude and also - MAYBE - they both go after a love intereste that doesn't reciprocate their love. (When Eli is in the jeep at the red light he sees a girl in the car next to him and prepare to act all cool - but fails...)

How they both cannot play lacrosse for the life of them or if you wanna say it another way, how they kinda suck at it. (I'm not gonna elaborate further, they have some problems with that game and I'll let that be) and how they both somehow managed to score a point during a game when initially, they weren't even supposed to be on the field that day.

They both have an innate awkwardness with multiple people around, especially if they don't know these people or if they feel like these people doesn't like or approve of them somehow (this could be a whole another post itself, maybe it'll be...)

How they are both raised by single fathers (or at least, that how it seems for Eli, since we know nothing about the mother)

And lastly for this round, how they both are 'insanely' attached to that jeep (Eli cause he wanna 'play around' with his father knowing that the man have 'complicated feelings' about the jeep. Stiles cause it was his mother's and how he keeps reparing it as best as he can throughout the whole show)

So, maybe he was put in the movie to fill Stiles' absence?

Number two:

Whether or not Eli was put in the show to replace Stiles' type of character and have a consistency with characteristics and personality portrait by both, why did they make him Derek's son?

Because they could've made him Peter's son as well, or Chris' cousin even - if they pushed it that far - and also, couldn't he simply be a teenager who ends up involved with the nogitsune, for all another set of reasons?

Making him Derek's son, even if it could simply be the easy way out to add Eli, has to have some meaning somehow, or at least i personally hope and believe so.

Cause maybe Eli is there to tell us something or confirm something else:

Maybe Eli, who's so similar to Stiles, has been made as Derek's son to show us how - somehow and maybe - Stiles was in contact with him while he grow up and that could explain their similarities.

Maybe Eli is 'living proof' of Stiles being Derek's anchor (as it was confirmed in a script of an episode that later was changed due to difficulties with scheduling the actors) and how he - Stiles - could've had a significant impact in Eli's life, either through Derek's stories of him or Stiles being actively present.

Maybe Eli - detaching the argument from Stiles - could mean the second possibility that Derek has to be a 'good role model', which he wasn't for Scott, Isacc, Boys and Erica (despite the fact he did his best in the only way he knew, he surely looked as 'not someone you would wanna learn from' )

Maybe Eli, destipe all odds, could just be... Eli!

But still, it remains strange to me how our good little Eli is so much like Stiles and also Derek's son, cause we - shippers and non-shippers - all know that these two characters clearly had something going on...

Number three:

Leaving out the why 'Derek's son' and why 'Stiles' copy', as we all know at the end of the movie the Sheriff gives Eli the jeep, but why?

We all know how madly in love Stiles is with the jeep and how it belonged to his dear mother before being his and the Sheriff was there seeing both of them running around the city with the old thing.

It leaves me perplexed how Noah - the Sheriff - decided to give the beloved jeep to Eli after his father died, but at the same time it makes very much sense. Let me explain.

There are a few reasons of why it leaves me perplexed and with many questions, which range is pretty vast.

Why giving the jeep 'away' after it belonged to the Stilinski family for +30 years?

Does Stiles knows about this?

Is Stiles never going to drive it again or he decided to leave the jeep behind? (To which I say, why would he ever do that after he didn't give up on it when it broke down in the middle of the desert, in mexico)

But with this said, if you look at it from another prospective it makes quite sense.

Why Noah 'gave away' - or to better say, gave to someone else - the only thing he had left of his wife and son (since Stiles is away for the majority of the time due to his work probably)?

Did Noah gave it to Derek to help him cope with Stiles being away? (If so, how come Noah knows something or, when he spoke to Eli during Derek's funeral, did he lie when he said "Derek towed it in", without saying that he gave it to Derek himself or did he simply omitted that part ?)

Noah gave the jeep to Stiles after his mother died, he gave his son something to hold onto while the grieved the loss of his mother, while also giving him something to remember her. The jeep is basically the symbol - if you wanna be poetic about this, which I'll be - of his mother's love for him.

It's the only piece left of her that actually serves a purpose and not only something which function is to remember someone who died (like it could be a photo or a ring).

Stiles takes care of the jeep like it's a living thing cause it's the only thing in the world he has of his mother, a mother who in the last moments of her life, couldn't even remember or recognize her own son. So Stiles lives her memories through the jeep and within it, that's why he never left it for anything, not a single reason was strong enough to his ears to make him leave it behind. Cause in the end it would mean leave his mother also behind, which he doesn't want to do.

And then, Stiles is gone to live the FBI agent life and the jeep ends up in Derek's hands who puts it all back together - maybe with something more strong that duct tape - and Noah is fully aware of this and how, the big old scary wolf, decided to take upon himself to repair the old thing that Stiles loved and treasured so much during his whole life.

Then the jeep is back to function and Eli has some fun with it, despite - or maybe in spite of - knowing about:

Your father had complicated feelings about that jeep

(Said by Noah)

And that:

He hated that jeep

(Said by Eli)

Because in the end, despite these sentences are said at the end of the movie, Eli knew about it anyway. Somehow he did.

Eli knew and kept getting the jeep, maybe without his father even knowing about it at times.

(And then Noah would call Derek about it, just like we saw in the movie.)

And when Eli is the one grieving the loss of his father, the only parent he probably ever knew in his whole life, Noah does it again. He gives the jeep to someone who's grieving the loss of a beloved and cared member of their family.

Stiles' mother was the first owner of the jeep, the one who chose it among who knows how many other cars, and it helped Stiles with his grief when she died.

Derek towed the jeep in and managed to fix it despite all odds and the tons of duct tape Stiles had put on it and when he died, the jeep passed to Eli in order to help him with his own grief.

Both times Noah was the one who gave the jeep to the one in pain, was the one who understood grief better than most and knew how to help and was the one who knew about it all.

So yeah, somehow to me, it does make sense.

The jeep is the "grief-helper" and Noah knows about it all.

Number four:

The meaning of the jeep itself is also very fascinating, especially if you look at it poetically and also how Noah is, somehow, always the deliverer.

Like I said before, maybe it's really about the jeep itself and what it represents to the people who drives it (Stiles and Eli). Because for both it's a reminder of someone who they loved tremendously and that are now gone (Stiles' mother and Derek).

Also there's Noah.

Noah, man of justice and single father, that gives the jeep to children/teenagers who lost their parents, cause somehow Noah knows the value of the jeep, or better what people makes it when they know its story.

(Somehow I managed to merge a bit of this theory with the third one, in fact they are pretty connected)

So I know there’s a lot of talk about the Geralt/Jaskier dynamic being reminiscent of Shrek/donkey, and like…They’re not wrong. BUT there is a much more accurate and obvious comparison that we simply do not talk about enough.

To review:

Character A:

-Obvious ADHD

-the sunshine/comic relief character

-hides any actual feelings behind charm and sarcasm

-constantly changing hair

-only Regular Human in the middle of a bunch of magical nonsense

-is immediately physically threatened by Character B. It does nothing to deter him.

-has an almost spiritual connection to a particular item that was gifted to him. This item becomes iconically associated with him.

-smarter than most people give him credit for

-makes it his life’s mission to help a group of “wolves”

Character B:

-grumpy and withdrawn

-hides his emotions with growls and monosyllabic sentences

-is deeply traumatized but would never admit it

-powerful psuedo-magical being

-most people that meet him assume he’s the Bad Guy but in actuality he’s one of the only good guys

-his home and most of his family were destroyed by non-magic people that feared and hated “his kind”

-uses his extreme physical strength and small amount of magic to protect regular people from supernatural threats

-magically yellow eyes

-only wears black leather

-is a “wolf”

I’m so sorry to have to report this to everyone, but Geralt/Jaskier is just a reboot of this

I was wondering if you knew of a Sterek fic where stiles is in college and Derek is there with him and I think stiles is in danger because I know Derek follows him around the campus in full wolf form and one day Stiles is having lunch with a friend and they start talking about Stiles’s crush and in an effort to keep Derek in the dark about his crush on him; Stiles says something kind of rude or Derek thinks it’s going to be rude and runs back home to their shared? Apartment. I’m pretty sure they end up together and kick bad guy butt in the end too.

((little context: I started watching a Thai series that came up on my tik tok, I started watching it for a completely different reason and ended up watching it cause I fell in love with these two characters that give me too many Stiles/Derek vibes) BUT TOO MANY COINCIDENCES, really, you guys are going to agree with me)) This series is called "The heart killers" you should watch it, it's entertaining and very queer. and they have their own version of Stiles/Derek.

Just look at this: (YES, there is a fucking jeep) and that's not even the most relevant part I actually noticed the jeep at the last minute and I was like "Oh damn, THEY HAVE A JEEP!!"

Okay, get ready. The guy in the blue shirt is called drum roll "Style" . Yes, that's right, his name is 'Style'. The guy in black shirt with black cat (or wolf) vibes is called "Fadel".

Okay, Style is:

-An only child -He has his father (he loves his father very much, he's the most important person in his life, and he's willing to trade his life for his father's, meaning, Style would die for his father if necessary and prefers to lie to him about certain things just because he feels he's keeping his father safe and secure) -His mother died when he was a child (from an illness) -He has a best friend coughcoughhehashiscottcoughcough and it's because of his friend that he's involved in all this mess -He's very talkative, everyone tells him all the time that he "has a very big mouth" -He's totally "the funny character" (who ends up stealing the show) -They say he's kind of clumsy but smart

-His relationship with Fadel and him is about 'annoying' Fadel until he falls in love with him, getting under his skin and his nerves, wearing down his patience, and it's This is all dynamic "I hate you but I love you"

As a curious fact, he is the one who has his "Style Auto". He is the mechanic of this relationship who fixed Fadel's jeep.

Fadel:

-Fadel is an orphan (BUT he has an adopted brother) -His parents were murdered -He doesn't trust anyone and believes that anyone can betray him -His character is based on being sad, hating everyone, looking at everyone badly and dressing in black with leather from time to time. -He is a murderer (he is 'dangerous') But not for Style according to Style -He wants to avenge the murder of his parents -An older woman betrayed him making him believe that he mattered to her, that she loved him, but in reality it was never like that and she only used him and spoiler: she was the one who killed Fadel's parents -He had a boyfriend that he was very very in love with but his boyfriend disappeared, which made him close himself off and not want to give his heart to anyone again, but some time later he finds out that his boyfriend was "eliminated". I mean; His first love was murdered. -Family is important to him, because he lost his and in the end Style becomes his chosen family. Although Fadel has an adopted brother who is important to him -He is imprisoned by the law and then released. -Fadel seems to be a constant point that people want to kill. According to Style his boyfriend always seems to have someone after him who wants to kill him (I mean, he's not a wolf like a certain sour wolf, but he is a sour killer who kills 'bad people' and his dangerousness lies in what he is and does that puts the lives of the people he loves at risk, which is why he constantly tells Style that he wouldn't blame him if he left him, that he would prefer it that way, for Style's safety) But Style always ignores what he says and instead, Style says that if Fadel is going to put himself in danger, then he will go after him

Okay, there's more, but I actually did this a bit out of order, because I literally finished the series yesterday, and I wanted to share these observations with you as soon as possible, sorry for the mess of my post, but I think you get the idea.

Now please tell me your opinions!! I really don't think my theory is wrong, there are too many coincidences, and (again) as Stiles says "one's an incident, two's a coincidence, and three's a pattern, what's four?"

And to clarify, I'm not attacking anyone or anything, I'm just making some observations that I found very curious, I like both series, and seriously it would be something that as a sterek shipper I would do if I had the chance, to FINALLY give those two the chance to be together. That is actually so much more tragic, though. Derek has such low self worth and self confidence that even under a magic spell he knows deep down that he can't and shouldn't trust himself. After Kate, I'm sure he's always felt wrong. And unfortunately up to this point in the story he's also continued to make a bunch more wrong choices. And Stiles has always called him out on them, told him when he was doing the wrong thing. It's incredibly tragic that Derek trusts Stiles' judgement more than his own because he knows to his core that he can't trust himself, especially not with something like people's lives, which is exactly what's on the line in this moment.

Kinda Dark/thriller, sterek au??

Corrupt deputy Derek hale and Genius Sheriff’s son Stiles Stilinski.

Stiles keeps trying to convince his dad that a bunch of random crimes are connected. His dad wants to believe him but there isn’t a lot of evidence that suggests Stiles theory. And no “gut feeling” doesn’t count.

Storming out of his father office after another argument over the series of crimes which stiles believes has ramped up and has a higher body count. He gets to his jeep and it just won’t start, stiles is frustrated and tearing up. It’s late and starting to rain and stiles really doesn’t want to go back in and ask his dad for a ride but also doesn’t want to walk home.

When one of his father deputies, Derek Hale offers him a ride. Stiles hesitates to agree, he’s never really spoken to Derek— no matter how much he’s wanted to. Stiles has definitely noticed the tall, dark, and handsome deputy even since he’s started working at the station— he feels like prey under Derek’s eyes. In the end he agrees due to the heavy rain. He calls a tow trunk and climbs into Derek’s Camaro. They end up stopping at a diner and stiles unloads his connected crime theory onto Derek. He knows something is up with these crimes but he just doesn’t have the last price of the puzzle. Derek looks smugly pleased with himself.

Derek drives stiles home and insists on walking him to his door. Derek warns Stiles to be careful and that he will personally look into Stiles theory. Just as derek gets back into his car to leave he asked to see stiles again. So they exchange numbers.

They text back and forth for awhile, before Derek informs stiles that he thinks he caught the prep behind the crimes. Stiles heads down to the station that night, pretending to just drop dinner off with his dad. As he leaves Derek gestures to a criminal in lock up. Theo Raeken.

He was originally one of Stiles suspects but after looking further into the crimes and his rap sheet, Stiles ended up crossing him off the list. Stiles ignores the sinking feeling in his stomach and heads over to talk to him. But the moment stiles makes eye contact with Theo, he goes insane. Throwing himself at the bars separating them, screaming his name and other profanities.

A few officers attempt to stop him, while Derek and his dad pull stiles out of the station. His dad checks in with him to make sure everything is okay before asking Derek to drive him home.

Stiles ‘subtly’ asks Derek on how he was lead to Theo and why he arrested him. Derek just says that he didn’t have anything concrete on Theo and wanted to interrogate him. Stiles pointed out why he crossed Theo out of his suspect list, derek gives a small hum, and tells stiles he just wanted to double check. They end up talking the entire ride home and when they arrive, Derek asks for a date and stiles agrees.

The next morning when his father shifts ends they meet up for breakfast. His dad ends up telling Stiles that Theo escaped custody sometime last night, and to be extra careful becuase Theo seemed fixated on him. Stiles brushes him off.

Later that day stiles gets texts from a random number.

This behaviour amps up over the following weeks, including gifts being left in stiles apartment, pictures of him being found and so on. His dad believes that it’s Theo stalking him but Stiles isn’t sure. Stiles begins to spend more time with deputy Derek as a result. He ends up falling fast and hard for Derek. Feeling completely safe with him during this hard times.

I’m not really sure how to end it but I’m thinking that stiles end up finding Theos body at one point, or maybe his phone at Derek’s house. They end up going in a date and back to Derek house for a little dessert, and a few hours later stiles wakes up and finds that last piece of the puzzle. The one connecting the all the crimes and the perp. Coming to the realization that it was Derek all along, while Derek is standing behind him. Derek let out a small chuckle, cooing at stiles shaking form. Holding stiles chin between his fingers and leaning down for a kiss. Telling stiles that he never gotten away with it without his help.

I also can’t decide if this is mafia hale family and spy on the inside Derek, or serial killer Derek or killer werewolf hale family and spy on the inside Derek. Or if he is still a werewolf in this au. I’m leaning towards werewolf because it just gives it that extra horror/ predator vibes.

Also up to you guys if stiles car wouldn’t start because of coincidence or because of Derek.
