Steven “Specs” Fisher x Fem!reader

Summary: After getting thrown across the room during the seance session of Elise for Dalton in the further, Specs finds himself being examined by y/n in the kitchen of the Lamberts household. A/n: So I recently binge watched all of the insidious movies and this was the outcome. I have a couple more ideas I might bring to life as well. Hope you enjoy it <3.

Things in the Lambert household had finally calmed down, only if for a minute. The seance session, earlier that night, turned out messier than you had expected. Trying to reach Dalton, as enlightening as it was, by allowing Elise to acknowledge what must be done now, still brought along its aftermath.

The kitchen light flickered softly as you were sitting in front of Specs, your fingers ghosting softly over his forehead as you examined him for any serious injuries. Specs, opposite you, sat slumped against the counter, exhaustion weighing on him, but his green half-lidded eyes never left your face. There was something about the way you bit your lip in concentration, or the way your touch—though clinical—lingered for just a second too long. You didn’t notice the way he was watching you, didn’t see the tired sort of longing in his gaze.

“It seems fine,” you murmured, brushing your thumb carefully and absentmindedly over the growing bump on his forehead. “You’ll live.”

Specs blinked rapidly, snapping himself out of whatever trance he’d fallen into. He tried grinning, though it came out more lopsided than charming. “So that’s a no to a badass scar?”

You huffed a soft laugh and rolled your eyes at him. “Afraid so.”

From the doorway, Tucker and Elise exchanged knowing glances. It was obvious to everyone but to both of you. The way you hovered, the way his shoulders eased when you were close. You were both so oblivious to each other's feelings. Elise patted Tucker on the back softly and returned to the living room, to prepare both Josh and Renai for what was to come.

Satisfied with your assessment, you stepped back, missing the way Specs’ gaze lingered on you for a beat too long. "Press these to your forehead," you said, handing him the frozen meat you had found in the freezer.

He laid his head on the kitchen counter and accepted the frozen pieces of meat you'd offered. “I would look really cool with a scar,” he muttered sloppily to himself under his breath.

Unbeknownst to Specs whose mind was currently miles away, Y/N smiled softly and looked at him longingly from where she was sitting.

Meanwhile, Tucker who was still observing from the doorway, smirked, and before entering the kitchen murmured lowly to himself. “Oh, they’re hopeless.”

- specs would be nervous to make the first move, but he would offer soft touches, primarily on your knees or your shoulders.

- he wouldn’t even realize when he starts petting your arm or patting your knee, and he also has no idea when his platonic touches have gone on for too long.

- just know, the more touchy that he gets, the more likely it is that he’s h0rny and thinking about you nak3d.

- these little touches are a subconscious indicator that he likes you.

- he’s shy in bed and he’s pretty vanilla. for a more k1nky partner, he’d be nervous but more than willing to try.

- he’s really into the idea of filming you. the image of one hand splayed on your stomach or cupping your cheek, and the other gripping the camera, he finds especially er0tic.

- you’d have to reassure him into being comfortable sharing his kinks.

- specs tries to muffle his m0ans. he can be pretty loud if you tell him that’s what you like, but unless you say so, he’s gonna cover his mouth with a hand or clench his jaw in an attempt to hide just how much he’s enjoying it.

Watching that tiktok (from my favorite tiktoker) of Leigh being given a friendship braclet made me think “okay Adam isn’t a braclet guy, but if diana or specs gave him one, he would wear it and definetly charish it.” Like then I started thinking “Specs would definetly give Adam a braclet that says “surviver” on it to remind Adam that that’s what he is. So that’s my overthinking thought lol
