Ya see that rather unassuming brick building to our right of the mural? That's called the Hamilton House. The coolest part about the Hamilton House is not only that it shares a name with my pal, [looking at you @alliesatwar] but it's also an incredible artistic space for so much of the community in Bristol. HOWEVER there are developers that are threatening to take this amazing centre away and make it into overpriced housing! Stokes Croft is known for its beautiful community and its ability to stand up to corporate greed to preserve the cultural impact that it has! While I lived in Bristol, it changed me in so many ways. It's where I was happiest, I felt the most free to be myself, and I felt surrounded by a beautiful community based in love and positivity! Stokes Croft was my safe haven. Last week had a quick bite at @pocotapasbar - chose two plates from the #tapas, one hake + vegetables and a generous side salad which would've been enough for two. I liked it, though the baby fennel were a bit stringily chewy, as fennel can be. Luckily it's one of my favourite vegetables so I chewed my way through. So nice to be able to choose quickly from a menu and have staff who'll happily check what's #gfdf I wanted to avoid my usual poco choice of smashed potatoes which are so deliciously greasy and salty but really should be shared.
