It doesn’t help when you’re on your cycle and go to sleep and your bed looks like the flag of Japan the next morning
THE FLAG OF JAPAN LMAOOO this is so funny but that shit wakes me up before i can even stain any sheets!! it’s like my body’s way too aware of what’s going on, i’ll just wake up to cramps and automatically know i need to go change my stupid bloody diaper… then i need to take another advil and go back to sleep until i inevitably need to wake up again and go through the same thing again… and again… and again. i mean i am glad my body knows not to fuck shit up while i sleep but i don’t really wish to wake up to devastating cramps just so i can piss and change my diaper at like… 3 in the morning. also don’t even get me started on taking the damn advil. i take extra strength (because the pussy ass regular kind stopped doing shit for me and i didn’t feel like taking two every four hours) and those shits are HUGE!! every time i take one i feel like im choking and i usually have to gulp down like litres of water just for it to go down smoothly. and like I said before, if i don’t take one i literally almost die. shits so annoying im so tired of it, why can’t i just pass the blood curse onto someone else. i think matty healy deserves this pain tbh (if you know who im talking about you’ll understand that one). ok sorry for the rant, but yeah… that’s the worst part it seems!

I am speaking to you. You did that. Never. Ever. Let anyone take that away from you. You survived. You saw the sun through your tiny cracks. You decided to reach for its warmth, not stay in the darkness. The trauma did not make you. Your choice to survive did.

Lyrics:
Beneath the sky of endless grey, Where winter's breath will never fade, I stand alone, the cold is near, Yet in my soul, there's no fear.
The wind howls loud, the ice won't break, The night is dark, but I won't shake. For every step, for every breath, I fight for life, I fight for death.
In this world of frost and flame, I'll lead us through, I'll bear the pain. Frozen heart, but burning hope, I'll carry us, we won't choke. In the storm, I'll stand so tall, The cold won't break us, we won't fall.
The city crumbles, the walls grow thin, But in the dark, we'll still begin. I see their faces, filled with doubt, But I'll keep fighting, I'll pull them out.
The night is long, the cold is deep, But we'll find warmth, we'll find a way. Through every choice, through every cry, I'll lead us forward, or I'll die.
In this world of frost and flame, I'll lead us through, I'll bear the pain. Frozen heart, but burning hope, I'll carry us, we won't choke. In the storm, I'll stand so tall, The cold won't break us, we won't fall.
And if the night consumes the light, If hope is buried in the ice, I'll fight with every ounce of me, To keep our hearts from misery.
The ashes of our past may burn, But in our bones, the fire will turn. Through every loss, through every tear, We'll rise again, we'll persevere.
In this world of frost and flame, I'll lead us through, I'll bear the pain. Frozen heart, but burning hope, I'll carry us, we won't choke. In the storm, I'll stand so tall, The cold won't break us, we won't fall.
Frozen heart, but burning hope, We'll carry on, we'll climb the slope. Through the cold, through the night, We'll keep on fighting for the light.

The Light Eventually Shines Through: A Reminder of Resilience
Shaina Tranquilino
April 19, 2024
Tumblr media
We often find ourselves facing challenges, obstacles, and moments of darkness. Whether it's personal struggles, setbacks in our careers, or global crises, there are times when it feels like the darkness may never lift. Yet, amidst the shadows, there's a timeless truth that serves as a guiding beacon: the light eventually shines through.
It's a simple yet profound concept that resonates deeply with the human experience. Just as dawn follows the darkest hour of the night, so too does hope emerge from despair. This principle is rooted in the resilience of the human spirit – our innate ability to persevere, adapt, and overcome adversity.
Consider the stories of individuals who have faced seemingly insurmountable odds only to emerge stronger on the other side. From historical figures like Nelson Mandela and Malala Yousafzai to everyday heroes in our own communities, there are countless examples of resilience in the face of adversity.
What sets these individuals apart is not the absence of challenges, but rather their unwavering belief in the possibility of a brighter tomorrow. They understand that setbacks are not permanent roadblocks, but rather opportunities for growth and transformation.
The journey toward the light is rarely linear. It's marked by twists and turns, ups and downs, moments of progress and moments of regression. Yet, through it all, there remains a flicker of hope – a beacon of light that guides us forward, even in our darkest moments.
But how do we cultivate this resilience in our own lives? How do we find the strength to persevere when the storms of life threaten to overwhelm us? The answer lies in mindset, community, and purpose.
First and foremost, it's essential to cultivate a mindset of resilience – to view challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. This requires reframing setbacks as temporary setbacks rather than permanent failures and focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
Secondly, surrounding ourselves with a supportive community can provide invaluable strength and encouragement during difficult times. Whether it's friends, family, or mentors, having people who believe in us and our ability to overcome challenges can make all the difference.
Finally, finding purpose and meaning in our struggles can give us the motivation to keep moving forward, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. By aligning our actions with our values and aspirations, we can tap into a deeper reservoir of resilience that sustains us through even the darkest of days.
In the end, the light eventually shines through not because the darkness is banished, but because we have the courage and resilience to face it head-on. It's a reminder that no matter how bleak the present moment may seem, there is always hope on the horizon – if only we have the faith to believe in it.
So, the next time you find yourself navigating through the shadows of life, remember that the light eventually shines through. Draw strength from the resilience of those who have come before you, lean on your community for support, and never lose sight of your purpose. And before long, you'll find yourself basking in the warm glow of a brighter tomorrow.

✮ The Desert Swan ✮
Like love, the sun rots in the summer, withering into rain, pattering on the highway, and digested in the mind’s belly. A quasi paradise at the side of the road, slowly, the cactus the desert eats, turning into a city in the middle of nowhere. As downtrodden as I may have been, I doled out prayers into their pockets so their seer might point out the way, out of here, out of the stagnating oil…

Life Is Like a Wheel
Life doesn’t move in straight lines. It spins. It turns. It shifts. Much like a wheel, it keeps rotating — sometimes lifting us high, sometimes pulling us down. And in this endless motion, there’s a quiet lesson that often gets overlooked: no matter how high we rise or how far we fall, it’s never permanent. That’s why we must stay humble when things are good, and hopeful when things aren’t.…

Riding the Emotional Currents: Unearthing Your True Essence
Life’s rhythm often throws us into storms of emotion, where waves of anxiety, sorrow, or confusion crash against the walls of our minds. It’s in these moments—when clarity feels distant and chaos reigns—that we’re presented with an unexpected gift: the chance to dive deeper into our true selves. Emotional turmoil, though relentless and uncomfortable, becomes the gateway to self-discovery. By leaning into these internal tempests, we not only find stability but also unearth the essence of who we are and what truly drives us.
The Anatomy of Inner Chaos
Emotional turmoil isn’t simply feeling sad or anxious; it’s the clash of conflicting emotions that leaves us disoriented and struggling to function. Imagine a mental storm brewing—one that disrupts your peace and shakes your sense of control. This experience can manifest in heightened irritability, racing thoughts, and an overwhelming sense of dread. Physically, it can drain your energy, disturb your sleep, and even trigger headaches or digestive issues. Socially, you might withdraw or struggle to connect with others, feeling trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and fear.
Recognizing the difference between temporary emotional distress and prolonged turmoil is key. When left unchecked, these emotional currents can erode mental, emotional, and even physical well-being. Yet, understanding their roots and learning to navigate them opens the door to transformation.
Tracing the Source
The triggers for emotional upheaval are as diverse as the human experience itself. Relationship struggles, grief, career pressures, financial burdens, or past traumas can ignite this inner storm. Even positive life changes—like marriage or parenthood—can bring unexpected emotional turbulence. For some, underlying mental health conditions or neurodivergence amplify these feelings, while others grapple with societal pressures or personal insecurities.
By identifying these triggers, we can begin to untangle the chaos and confront the deeper fears and beliefs that fuel it.
The Path of Self-Discovery
True self-discovery isn’t about finding the “perfect version” of yourself. It’s about peeling back the layers—understanding your values, desires, and fears—and embracing your authentic self. This journey requires reflection, vulnerability, and the courage to confront uncomfortable truths.
In moments of emotional turmoil, we’re often forced to question the narratives we’ve clung to and the expectations we’ve inherited. It’s here that we uncover hidden strengths, suppressed emotions, and unacknowledged dreams. The pain becomes a teacher, guiding us toward clarity and purpose.
Tools for the Journey
1. Mindfulness & Presence: Ground yourself in the present moment through meditation, deep breathing, or mindful movement. These practices help quiet the noise and create space for self-reflection.
2. Journaling & Self-Expression: Pour your thoughts onto paper. Explore your emotions, patterns, and experiences without judgment. This process can reveal subconscious truths and foster self-awareness.
3. Seeking Support: Therapy, support groups, or honest conversations with trusted friends can provide valuable perspective and emotional validation.
4. Creative Outlets: Art, music, or poetry can serve as powerful vehicles for processing emotions and connecting with your inner world.
5. Rest & Self-Compassion: Emotional growth requires energy. Prioritize rest, set boundaries, and treat yourself with kindness as you navigate this path.
From Darkness to Clarity
Emotional turmoil isn’t something to escape—it’s an invitation to evolve. By embracing the storm and allowing it to guide us inward, we uncover resilience, authenticity, and deeper purpose. It’s through this raw, often uncomfortable process that we transform chaos into clarity and step closer to the truest version of ourselves.

We Mature by Damage, Not by Age
The adage, "We mature by damage, not by age," encapsulates a profound truth about the human experience. It suggests that growth and maturity are not merely the result of the passage of time but are instead forged through the trials, tribulations, and scars we accumulate along the way. As the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche once said, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." This sentiment underscores the idea that it is through adversity, not the mere ticking of the clock, that we truly come into our own.
