My weird little Pepper Ann headcanons:
(I gave them a lot of thought but I just wanted to put them here in list format)
Pepper Ann- ADHD and possible dyslexia, paranoia. social anxiety- cupioromantic (later asexual)
Milo: ADHD
Moose: implied neurodivergence, though I'm hesitant to label what it could be (audhd etc) because I don't know enough (and I'd say this extends to her friends)
Lydia: Has an anxiety disorder
Janie: Also has an anxiety disorder, but one different from Lydia's/presents differently from Lydia's, also has paranoia
Nicky: OCD (several subtypes, moralistic) and even some occasional derealization/dissociative amnesia- maybe EDS (Ehler's Danlos Syndrome because of how her atheticism is very inconsistent and different in many areas), anxiety- greyromantic, (later asexual) always wants to change, doesn't view her perfectionist tendencies as wanting to be "perfect"
Becky: Real events OCD, mild depression, social anxiety that she masks
The Little family overall has some form of inherited, generational OCD
Stuart: Social anxiety, uses his hobby as a coping mechanism
Cissy: severly afraid of opening up to others, so puts on an act and acts different to her true personality. Aromantic/aro-spec
Trinket: There is some truth to how she acts, but I really believe her self centered behavior is highly influenced by her upbringing to the point that she really lacks an identity. Wants to be seen as the most "socially competent" in the school. Has more in common with Nicky than you think, and had some moments off screen where she was subtly or oddly open/almost friendly with Nicky. Because Nicky could be like Trinket if her family didn't prioritize selflessness. (what's funny is Nicky and Trinket are even sitting together in The Way They Were) So, I think she has a soft spot for Nicky- oddly. Even if it could be a pity thing for both and of course they aren't close, I think they want to improve each other and secretly "root" for each other. The thing is Trinket isn't all that hateful but still is selfish.
Tessa: When labeled as "the twins", she embraced the label and put many parts of her identity towards being a twin. Has a codependent twin relationship
Vanessa: Doesn't like being a twin as much as she says she does, even having a distinct style compared to Tessa. But feels forced to do the "twin thing", as to not ruin her relationship and strong friendship with Tessa, and as a result of the pressure embraces the "twin thing" and never moves away from it
Hickey: has severe paranoia and trust issues, as implied in canon, he projects his instability on to his students

On 30th September 1813 John Rae, surgeon, trader and Canadian explorer, was born.
Born n at Hall of Clestrain, Orphir, on the Orkney Islands, at the age of sixteen he began the study of medicine at Edinburgh University and in 1833 he was appointed surgeon to the Hudson’s Bay Company ship Prince of Wales on its annual voyage to Moose Factory, and was resident surgeon there from 1835 to 1844.
Between 1846 and 1854 John Rae made four voyages of exploration to the Arctic, surveying and charting many miles of newly discovered coastlines. In recognition of this the Royal Geographical Society awarded him the Founder’s Medal in 1862. Two of these expeditions had been sent out to search for Sir John Franklin; the search of 1853 resulted in the discovery of Franklin’s fate.
Information from the Inuit given to Rae showed that Franklin’s men had all perished and the bodies showed signs of cannibalism. This report made Rae unpopular and his achievements were rather ignored. Nobody wanted to believe that men would be capable of eating the flesh of humans, even in an attempt to save their own lives, it wasn’t as if they killed their own people.
In 1860 he married Catharine Jane Alicia, daughter of Major George A. Thompson, Ardkill,Derry, Ireland, but his days at The Hudson Bay Company were far from over, Rae rejoined them 1864 to survey the route from Fort Garry to Victoria, and at both points accumulated material for the construction of a continental telegraph. The material he collected at Winnipeg was utilized in 1871 in linking up Manitoba with Eastern Canada.
In October 1882 he revisited Winnipeg, giving an address to the Manitoba Historical Society on his Arctic explorations and on the value of Hudson Bay as a commercial route. In 1880 the Royal Society elected him a Fellow. He was the author of many journals and papers and his name is perpetuated in many place names in the Canadian Arctic.
Rae was another Scot who was something of a polymath, and his writings on economics were admired by John Stuart Mill. He wrote A Narrative of an Expedition to the Shores of the Arctic Sea in 1846 and 1847 and Report of the Proceedings of the Arctic Searching Expedition.
Rae's legacy is an important one. He is thought to have mapped around 1,750 miles of the Arctic coast. His willingness to learn from the indigenous people that he met on his travels sets him aside from many of his contemporaries.
The Victorian wrong was righted when the simple plaque for the Orcadian surgeon turned explorer Dr John Rae was unveiled at Westminster Abbey in 2014, his writings have been accepted as accurate since the days of the doubters.
He spent his last years in London, where he died on 22 July 1893, his body was taken by steamer to Kirkwall for burial at St Magnus Cathedral, a memorial inside to Rae shows him sleeping on the ground, covered with a skin blanket. Nearby are his gun and a book.

{Jessie Mei Li, 26, demi-female, she/they} We are so glad to see you safe, ADVISOR OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ELEONORA ADLERBERG of SCOTLAND (SWEDEN)! It’s dangerous out in the world these days, but I hear that you are RESOURCEFUL and UNWAVERING enough to handle it. Just don’t let your WARINESS bring you down! Stay on your guard, because with your secret being at risk for exposure, you wouldn’t want everyone to find out YOU WERE SENT AWAY AFTER ELOPING WITH A STABLEHAND.
the basics Name: lady eleonora adlerberg Aliases: nell Country: scotland and sweden Gender/Pronouns: demi-female, she/they Sexual/Romantic Orientation: bisexual, biromantic Age: 26 Occupation: advisor of foreign affairs to the scottish crown Faceclaim: jessie mei li Marital Status: Technically married to Ulrich Siggurdson (see: her secret), publicly single Loyalties: princess claire stuart, possibly the scottish rebellion, the swedish crown Pets: a black hanoverian gelding named hamlet
aesthetics Inspiration: sansa stark (game of thrones), remus lupin (harry potter) Animal: moose Tarot Card: the hanged man Zodiac: taurus Element: earth
tldr; Nell has a sweet, accommodating exterior, but her walls are incredibly high. She is hesitant to let most people in, but once she considers you a trusted friend, she will be loyal to you for life. They are intelligent and tactical, making them a good ally in politics and business. Their recent past has hardened them, and they are not the happy-go-lucky child they once were, but there are rare moments when her old self still shines through. She is often found outside, gardening, reading or riding her horse. backstory: Eleonora Adlerberg was born on the wettest day Sweden had seen in twenty-five years. Her mother would often remark how they could hardly hear the newborn’s cries over the drumming of rain on the roof and the whistle of wind in the cracks of the windows. The storm melted the last of the snow and gave way to Spring, but the subsequent flooding delayed the start of the growing season by nearly two months. Count Gustaf Adlerberg and Countess Mary MacLachlan were kind and loving parents to Eleonora, who they affectionately called ‘Nell’. She was a precocious and gentle child, blissfully unaware that she was being groomed to inherit her father’s estate and responsibilities. She devoured the history books in her father’s library, and took quickly to political philosophy. Her mother taught her Gaelic and English, and her father taught her how to ride horses as soon as she could walk. When they weren’t taking lessons or sleeping, you could find Nell exploring the grounds of the estate on horseback. The long Swedish summer days were spent swimming, collecting wildflowers, and galloping through the countryside. Even in the winter months she could be found outside, bundled in furs. As long as she was excelling in her studies and staying on top of her duties as heir, her father was more than happy to allow her this kind of freedom. One day in late spring, she walked to the stables to introduce herself to their new stablehand. She had expected an older man, much like their previous stablehand, but she was confronted with a young man, not much older than her. Almost immediately, he was making her laugh. Over the course of the summer, the two spent as many hours as they could spare together, taking long rides in the forest and sneaking picnics in a secluded meadow. They started as friends, but when autumn came, it was clear they were much more than that. When he asked her to elope, it did not take much convincing. Unbeknownst to Nell, her father had been informed of her plan. The same night they were married, she was captured by her father and sent to Scotland, where she would stay until her father died and she inherited his land and title, or until she had secured a high-status betrothal. As far as Nell knows, their husband was killed that night. They heard a musket fire in the distance, and from that moment forward there was a thick wall built around Them. She knows she was betrayed by someone in her family, but she does not know who, but she is intent on finding out. Watching the shores of Sweden slowly slip under the horizon, she made a silent vow to find escape or revenge- whichever came first.
time at lal qila: Despite her grief, Nell found refuge in the Scottish Court. They created close connections with the people around them, and managed to create a sense of safety around them. During a siege, she was caught fleeing the palace and was imprisoned, but was released after a day. She managed to keep her secret hidden, and was able to begin healing, even if the healing was slow. now: Nell’s father fell gravely ill following her return from Lal Qila, and she was forced to go home to take her place as head of the Adlerberg family and to maintain the family’s estate until her father recovered. Following his unlikely recovery, Count Gustaf Alderberg told Nell she was no longer expected to return to Scotland and was relieved of her duties as a lady-in-waiting. Not wanting to remain in Sweden while her father was still alive, Nell accepted a job in Scotland as the advisor on foreign affairs.

Entry 3#: Relevant accounts
Moose's friendships are very relevant in what he currently stands for and presents himself as. Here's a bit of a dive through some of those names:
Keegan Allen - Pretty much a confirmed Trump supporter. Just from how he acted on Election Day. See photo:

bodyguard13 (cliff kosterman) - Cliff has acted as Jared’s bodyguard for a long time and he and his brother have done not so great things through the years, but that is a separate matter.
aor__1 (Anson) - energetic armament owner
Seemingly moose's new best friend. Plenty of footage of them together. January 2021 is the first entry on instagram.
mattwolski
phillipfranklandlee - chef in austin, TX
thomajan - private account. Stuart Thomajan.
thebigpigmy
chachachaddo - locked account. Part of the industry.

Week ending: 6th November
Well, if it isn't a daft bit of holiday fun! I'll confess, I've known and loved this week's song for quite some time. It's not clever, it's not eloquent, it's not particularly groundbreaking. It's just a bit of really solid silliness, perfect to liven up this time of year.
Hoots Mon! - Lord Rockingham's IX (peaked at Number 1)
Lord Rockingham's IX wasn't a band, per se, or at least not in the way we'd imagine now. They were a group who played together, but they were session musicians, and mostly when they played together it was on an ITV pop TV show called Oh Boy! It's credited as the first teenage music show on British TV, and it had a rotating cast of visiting solo rock and roll, skiffle, jazz and pop artists, including Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde, Shirley Bassey and Lonnie Donegan, just to name a few familiar names. And if they didn't come with their own band, they needed a backing band - hence Lord Rockingham's IX.
I've no clue why they were called that, and apparently they briefly attracted some legal trouble from the descendants of the real Lord Rockingham, who was a historical figure who existed, back in the 1700s and was even Prime Minister in 1765. I guess it's a cool name for a band, and they were, by all accounts, quite a cool band, fronted as they were by one Harry Robinson, a Scottish bandleader, but also notable for the inclusion of Cherry Wainer, a notable female Hammond organ player who ended up singing with Cliff Richard a bunch when he was on the show, too.
Anyway, aside from livening up British TV, they also recorded several novelty records, and this is one of them, based on a Scottish folk song called A Hundred Pipers, which dates back to the mid-1800s, but is actually about the events of the Jacobite Rising of 1745 when Scottish forces under Charles Stuart captured the English town of Carlisle. Which is kind of cool, though Hoots Mon doesn't take on any of those lyrics. Instead, it's merely inspired by the folk song's tune, which it does gamely spruce up with all sorts of stereotypically Scottish interjections. We've got an och aye, a hoots mon, a braw, bricht, moonlicht nicht, and of course, a moose loose aboot this hoose. All of which I suspect I should be taking offense to, except a) Harry Robinson was Scottish at least, so he gets a pass and b) it's such good fun that I can't really bring myself to care.
Aside from these lines, it's basically an instrumental, and man, as instrumentals go, it's a catchy one! We've got this brash, repeated sax line, that Hammond organ, a percussionist goes nuts in the background, there are multiple key changes, and then just all this clapping and shouting in the background, holding it all together. It's madcap, in the best possible way - I challenge you to listen and not bop around, just a little bit. Top music for dancing round your kitchen to. I'd put this on at a Christmas party, for sure.
Underrated track. If you do not know, go listen. I promise, you'll go away with it stuck in your head on loop for several days. And it's cool seeing the development of a sort of proto-Top of the Pops, and the way that's beginning to shape UK listening habits. TV's been more and more important, and I feel like the dawn of TV shows dedicated to music in particular can only be a good thing, in terms of moving music along and bringing new sounds into the public consciousness. Also, sometimes it gives you people clapping and screaming hoots mon to an absolutely wild saxophone backing track.
Favourite song of the very Scottish bunch: Hoots Mon!

We're All Going To Die from Stefan Hunt on Vimeo.
We’re All Going To Die takes on the simple task of exploring the meaning of life. Through colour, imagination, humour and fart jokes, Director Stefan Hunt asks you to look at the what ifs, the why nots and the oh wells that might flash before your eyes when paid a surprise visit by Death. With your internal monologue played by Jared Jekyll and Death played by Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, Lord of the Rings), you’re prompted to get existential whilst grinning from ear to ear during this independent short film of fantastical weirdness.
The film is an adaptation from Stefan Hunt's illustrated book 'Were All Going To Die' and part of a multimedia extravaganza of that same name that was launched in October 2017. The project uses death and art to empower its audience to fear less & live more. "Years ago I was crippled by fear. Reminding myself that I'm going to die has changed my approach to life. It's the most powerful force to live by." says Hunt, who independently funded this project alongside a successful Kickstarter campaign.
A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. Let's keep kicking fear in the balls.

Current PA fanfic concepts so I can practice writing and maybe get better at fanworks and make that Nicky Little spinoff comic one day:
Comet curse/virus after going thru many people for years catches PA and Nicky during sophomore year of high school. However, Nicky is a hard realist and starts to believe she IS Pepper Ann when she wakes up in her body and was never Nicky whilst PA in Nicky's body starts "ruining her life" being her usual PA self whilst trying to prove to Nicky that she (both of them) isn't crazy. This attracts the attention of many people in the school who notice both aren't acting like themselves, and eventually Nicky she realizes that she isn't crazy- Hazelnut is just like this. Moose really WAS Steve the Cat for a week. People worry about Nicky and PA and things get out of hand. Pepper Ann realizes Nicky's true "flaw." (this would be a fic about Nicky and PA understanding themselves thru each other, not a ship fic cause in my idea nickyann is a slowburn) This would be a dramatic story with comedic moments sprinkled in.
A fic about Nicky and Becky reconnecting in adulthood.
Nicky and PA's soured friendship in HS.
Nicky and Pepper Ann discover they are on the asexual/aromantic spectrum, and feel wrong about it until they reach adulthood because the series takes place in the 90s. (my headcanons)
A Valentine's Day Tune but reversed for Nicky- 3 friendly ghosts try to get Nicky to acknowledge "Single's Awareness Day" and get her to take care of herself more and help her leave Stuart. These 3 people are the people she's close with/close acquaintances. Maybe even make MORE ghosts, like 6 ghosts for Nicky.
Nicky and Milo's growing friendship in high school/college when Pepper Ann was ghosting them. How one day, they found themselves doing some karaoke together after a bad day at work.

While the discussions about the 80's introduction discs have similarities to something we have talked around here before, the difference is that we are more focused on one period this time. Specifically, the 80's found many musicians looking for a way to carry on and some got carried away. However, there were a couple like Lou Reed who achieved many surprising results during the era. Speaking of Mr. Reed – I must tell you I like his work from the decade, but you cannot compare the latter to his heights. Still, I would claim Growing Up In Public already set the template for his 80's, so I disagree with an Allmusic review, which considers this a transitional album towards his consequent LPs. I would actually call this his Lodger, if you catch my drift.

(one more bc it's so Shaw! just do whichever you feel like no obligation!) "Why have less when there's more?"
"Yes, of course, Sir," replied Stuart Henley-Wrexingham, of Henley-Wrexingham-Smythe Interiors and Furnishings. "However, I can't help but think-"
"What?" Shaw replied. "Do you think the bearskin rug should be orientated left to right instead? Yes, I think that would look better now I've see it in person."
"Ah- Erm..." Stuart stepped back, then flinched forward again to avoid accidentally impaling himself on some deer antlers hanging off the wall behind him.
"You know I think this one is my favourite," Shaw said, pointing at the large taxidermy sabretoothed cat ostentatiously taking up space next to the doorway. "You know I killed it myself? In the Savage Land of all places."
"Uh-huh." Stuart nodded along, noticing the way the light from the two chandeliers glinted off the dead creature's fangs.
"And the lion's head on the wall up there, that was one of mine too," Shaw continued. "Something to look at while I do my business, of course."
"Yeah, of course..."
Stuart's own gaze was drawn to the painting, a gigantic portrait of Shaw himself, in full 18th century regalia, bordered by a garish gold frame.
"And the moose antlers, they really are the star of the show, aren't they?"
"Quite."
They were quite intimdating, the giant antlers seem to span the entire width of the room from where they hung above the black king's throne.
"It's just..." Stuart began. He was hesitant. This really wasn't what he'd signed up for when they'd taken on Shaw as a client, but then again the customer was always right.
"You don't approve of it?" Shaw asked.
"No, no, sir that's not it. I was just wondering..."
"Well? Spit it out man!"
"It's just... Isn't this all a bit much for a bathroom?"

Destiel Chronicles
Vol. CXI
It was a love story from the very beginning.
My Dearest Friend
(14x04)
Hi again! I'm bringing another meta to this collection, this time I will only talk about 14x04 because it was full of subtext we need to disect slowly.
Link to my metas from this episode X; X; X; X.
What if...?
This episode was written by Perez. This writer is always exploring the possibility of Dean coming out from the closet.
The dumb excuse given by Sam about why he hates Halloween, is a symbolic description of Dean's inner fears. Pay attention to it:
SAM: When I was in sixth grade we were living in Bismarck and I had a huge crush on her.
DEAN: Aw, that’s adorable. Continue.
SAM: So, she invited me to her Halloween party. I said yes and I went over and at first everything was great, um, and then we started to play games.
DEAN: Spin the bottle.
SAM: Bobbing for apples. Like I said, I had a crush so the entire night my stomach was in knots and when it was my turn I bent down and… (...) …hurled, everywhere. Lunch, dinner it all came up, on Andrea mostly. People ran and screamed and it was so bad.
DEAN: Ah that’s great.
SAM: I ended up hiding out in the woods till you finally came and got me.
"If Dean would confess all that makes him sick inside, all the trauma, all his fears (and I'm gonna include here the "getting out the closet" bc it seems like Perez begins to explore this item in this chapter) if Dean would do that, barfing everything out, how would people react? How Sam would react? Would be disgusting? Scandalous? If he confess his fears, if he confess he is in love of Cas, an angel in a man vessel, would Sam be ok with that?"
I wrote all of this about that symbolism, and this is also connected to some episode at the second half of the season 15 in which we will see Dean gagging and characters vomiting. I remember back then I was sure it had to do with Dean confessing his feelings to Castiel. I must say it was related to Dean trying to do it but writers and CW silencing him.
After that we had Dean naming queer couples to his brother Sam, this scene had the same target that Sam's excuse about Halloween. Dean was tasting waters with his brother if he would decide to come out from the closet.
Gif credit @itsokaysammy
Now, let's explore why Dean was missing his angel in this episode.
So Handsome, So Angry
This entire episode was a reflection of Dean's mind and it brought an important foreshadow: SAM AND CAS GETTING INSIDE DEAN'S HEAD HELPING HIM TO RELASE HIMSELF FROM AU! MICHAEL.
That's why the whole episode was color coded and full of symbolism.
If you don't know about my color coded meta, please check at the beginning of this analysis, where I put all the links. Blue represents Castiel, Green and Red represents Dean (healing!Dean and toxic!Dean) and yellow is Sam. The colors had their meaning, like blue is related to protection and wisdom, green is new life and red anger, yellow is knowledge and insightful mind.
Now, let's check Stewart first apparition in the episode. He has a Panthro in his hands...
STUART: Whoa, 15 inch megascale Panthro. So handsome, so angry.
This is screaming CASTIEL. Foreshadowing their break up and how angry will be Castiel with Dean.
Because we are inside Dean's mind, we have STEWART (Toxic!Dean) DIRK (Healing!Dean) and Sam is Sam, Dean's reason.
Now... Keep in mind Pantro sending Stewart to the hospital (a fight between Toxic!Dean and Castiel coming up) and also this entire scene at the beginning of the episode...
Dean had been in his room for two weeks, Sam goes to see him, worried. Dean is depressed after the Possession, but he will name a couple of things that are bothering him...
DEAN: Well, since when is okay part of this job, huh? Yeah, Cas is you know, showing Jack the ropes and Dark Kaia and her spear are in the wind and we have no clue where Michael is or what he’s up to. And not that I’m complaining, but the house is full of strangers, so.
These insights are from my metas. As I put above, Mint Condition had a lot of what I like to call Indirect Castiel representation.
Mostly because Dean mentioned him at the beginning letting us know he is horribly missing his angel.
So, the whole episode will bi him Castiel as memories.
Including the colors. When Dirk is talking about Stuart, how they eat pizza and watch movies and how special their friendship is, Dean has this fond expression on his face and the whole scene is showered in blue color.
Guess in who's Dean thinking about?
Inside of Dean's mind
Always based on the colors, is very important to understand all the monsters that will appear throughout the season are representing Dean's toxicity and AUMichael (which is the symbolic icon of Dean's fears and toxicity).
Remember episode 13x05 in which i pointed at a picture in the kid's room (Advanced Thanatology) well, that pic was foreshadowing this season, and mostly, this monster:
Of course is in red because red is Dean's toxic behavior.
We also had Stuart dressed with a red t-shirt with a Godzilla Squirrel. Because is Toxic Dean, who sees himself as a monster.
Also, the morgue scene...
We can see in the first picture, the fear in Dirk when this "world" starts to tremble, at the inevitable arriving from the "monster". This is Dean's mind, he has so much fear of his own thoughts, guilty and negative feelings, and he doesn't feel secure in his own raped mind.
The second one is more about it... We see corpses, representing two things: beloveds who died, trauma (I'm including the resent Castiel's death) and the second is all the death he thinks he provoked when he was possessed by Michael.
Then we have color yellow, representing wisdom , honesty and Sam too. Then the horror... The "monster" is still in there. He must to win this battle.
All of this represents Dean's emotional prison, his inner fight to break free from AUMichael, and we will see it in 14x10.
So the war Dean fights inside of him is between his inner fears and toxicity. Also, Sam and Sam, Dean's reason, will be locked by the monster. (The fears caging Dean's ability to think) but they will be break free successfully thanks to a mix of colored liquids (yellow, green, red an blue) TFW working together to help Dean to release himself. And also using this...
Scooby Doo box is representing Dean's innocence, healing!Dean.
Miscellaneous: A very colorful visual elements was the figures of Superman and Lois Lane in the background in the comic store protected by a glass. When the monster arrived the glass began to freeze. This was a foreshadow of the Destiel fight and break up.
To Conclude:
This episode had a lot of elements that talked about Castiel, because it was a symbolic representation of Dean's mind. And Castiel is centric in Dean's life.
Also, this episode it's connected to 14x10 and Dean's emotional prison.
Hope you liked this meta, see you in the next one.
