FEBUWHUMP 2025 PROMPT LIST
this year's prompts were chosen through an open suggestion poll (in which we received over 4,000 prompts) and a subsequent vote, where 5,019 votes were submitted. the top 28 make up the core prompts, and the febuwhump mod's favourites that remain have become the alternates. the first prompt in the 28, "vocal chords", was our number one prompt of the vote, with 1,625 total votes.
i am so insanely excited to see what you all create with these prompts, and i hope they're inspiring enough to trigger a whole month's worth of creativity for you!
as an extra added challenge, some creators will be undertaking another, smaller goal, of including apples in each of their prompt fills as an ode to the wildly popular prompt suggestion of "apples" that didn't make it through to the poll. this is totally optional, but is a good extra challenge if you'd like to take part in it!
if you have any questions, please check out the faq before sending an ask, or skim the blog's previously asked questions to see if your question has already been answered.
please note: notifying the blog of completionist status will happen through a google form released towards the end of febuwhump, and if you are interested in joining the febuwhmp discord server, the link will be available to do so for one week towards the end of january.

FAQ
"Do I have to do a prompt from each of the categories listed?"
You can do as many or as little as you like! So, if you wanna do one of each of the categories go right ahead! If you only want to do one in total, that's fine too! No stress here! 💖
"Are polyamorous ships allowed?"
Yup! As long as an oc/insert/persona is included in the ship with canon character(s) then it is welcomed! 💖
"I see OC x Canon Week is on both Tumblr and Twitter. Do I have to participate on both platforms? Or can I just stick to one?"
You can choose whichever platform you prefer to particpate on. You do not have to particpate on both. (However you are welcome to if you so please!~) 💖
"I like this days prompt with another days prompt. Is it alright to mix and match them?"
Yes!! You absolutely are welcome to mixing and matching prompts! The event is about having fun, so pick and choose as you please~ 💖
"I want to create multiple works for one prompt! Is that okay?"
Absolutely!! If you have the ability and engery to do so, then more power to ya!! ✨ We will take as many pieces as you can churn out! (But there is no pressure of course~💖)
"Can I participate with a familial/platontic oc x canon ship?"
While the event does cater to romantic intent, non-romantic ships are welcome to participate as well! 💖
"I found out about the event late!! Can I still participate and submit my work after the event is over?"
Yes! While the event runs for a “week”, there really are no set rules as to when you can participate. It’s all about having fun and spreading awareness for OC x Canon enjoyers!!
The blog will not be as active after the event is over , but I’ll still check in every once in a while to like and reblog what I can. (: Remember to us the hashtag # oc x canon week and tag the account so your work is seen!
"Have you considered running OC x Canon Week on other platforms, like Bluesky, A03, etc?..."
I have but truthfully it's already a huge workload managing the event on both Tumblr and Twitter by myself. If I were to bring it to other platfroms, I would definitely need some assistance. At this point, it's TBD... 🆕Update!! 🆕 We now have a collection on AO3 thanks to @atwstedstory!! 💕 It'll be open for submissions the week of the event! Thank you atwstedstory!! 💖

Propaganda
Judy Garland (Meet Me In St. Louis, A Star is Born, Summer Stock)— Judy is the GOAT when it comes to classic movie musicals. The voice of an angel who deserved so much better than she got. She can sing she can dance she can act she's a triple threat. Though she had a turbulent personal life (her treatment as a child star by the studio system makes me mad as hell like Louis b Mayer fight me ((she was made to believe that she was physically unattractive by the constant criticism of film executives who made her feel ugly and who manipulated her onscreen appearance by capping her teeth and using discs in her nose to change its shape and Mayer called her "my little hunchback" like imagine hearing that as a child and not having damage)) she always goddamn delivered on screen and in any performance she gave. She began in vaudeville performing with her sisters and was signed to MGM at 13. Starting out in supporting parts especially paired with mickey Rooney in a bunch of films (she's the best part tbh) she eventually transferred to the lead role. She is best known for her starring role in movie musicals like the iconic Wizard of Oz (somewhere over the rainbow still hits hard and is ranked the top film song of all time), meet me in St. Louis (Judy singing have your self a merry little Christmas brings tears to the eyes she is that powerful), the Harvey girls (she looks like a technicolor dream and sings a catchy af song about trains), Easter parade ( dancing and singing with Fred Astaire), for me and my gal, the pirate, and summer stock ( with pal Gene Kelly who she helped when he was starting out and he helped her when she was struggling). But she also does non- singing just as well like the clock ( her first movie where she sings no songs and is an underrated ww2 era romance), her Oscar nominated a star is born ( like the man that got away she put her whole soul in that and I have beef with the fact she lost to grace kelly ((whom I love but like still not even her best work)), and judgement at Nuremberg (a courtroom drama about the nazi war criminal trials). Outside of film she made concert appearances to record-breaking audiences, released 8 studio albums, and had her own Emmy-nominated tv series. She was the youngest (39) and first female recipient of the Cecil B DeMille award for lifetime achievement in the film industry. Girl was a lifelong democrat and was a financial and moral supporter of many causes including the civil rights movement (she was at the March on Washington and held a press conference to protest the 16th street Baptist church bombings). She was a friend of the Kennedy family and would call jfk weekly often ending the calls by singing the first few lines of somewhere over the rainbow (she thought of them as Gemini twins). She was a member of the committee for the first amendment which was formed in response to the HUAC investigations. Though she died far too young and tragically she remains an icon for her work and her life. As a girl who didn't feel like i was as pretty as everyone else I have always felt a connection to Judy and I just really love her.
Natalie Wood (West Side Story, The Great Race)—She went through so much shit which I know can be said for all these women but Natalie really was a star and her death often overshadows her career and life. She could make you cry, but she also had the capacity to be incredibly funny which I think is lost on people.
This is round 4 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut.]
Natalie Wood:

Judy Garland:

Judy's voice alone qualifies her for at least top ten hottest HOT VINTAGE MOVIE WOMEN. She was a truly incredible swing singer, with a stunning voice on top of her technique. Her short dark hair looked incredible in just about any style. Have I mentioned her swagger? I can’t do it justice with words. She had swagger. She was funny as hell, and clever too. Incredibly charming and cool. I adore her.

Her eyes, her voice have bewitched me
I mean how can you beat the one and only Judy? She's beautiful, her smile is contagious, the way she sings with her whole body. You can't help but love her.
youtube
Beautiful woman, love her singing voice. And she can do everything between happy or silly and angry or heartbroken

Palestinian Arabs Never Welcomed Jews
There's a lie that needs to go: Palestinian Arabs welcomed Jews after the Holocaust and the ungrateful refugees backstabbed them and stole their land.
This is an absolute fantasy. When the Holocaust started, the Palestinians didn't offer to help the Jews. They offered to help the Nazis.
In fact, at no point in history did the Palestinian Arabs were anything but hostile to the Jews.
Mandatory Palestine was created by the British in 1920. In that year alone there were many murderous attacks against Jews. The violence against Jews has only gotten worse throughout the history of the Mandate.
Some famous attacks include:
March 1, 1920, 9 Jews murdered in Tel Hai
April 4, 1920, 5 Jews murdered, over 200 wounded in Jerusalem
May 1, 1921, 47 Jews murdered, 140 wounded in Jaffa
24 August, 1929, 67 Jews murdered, 58 injured in Hebron
29 August, 1929, 18 Jews murdered, 80 wounded in Safed
2 October 1938, 19 Jews murdered (including 11 children)
During the war, there were pogroms all over the Arab world, including the Farhud, a murderous pogrom in Baghdad in which hundreds of Jews were murdered, over a thousand were raped or mutilated, and 900 homes were looted.
As you can see from this 1936 front page of Falastin (notice it refers to Palestine Arabs, not Palestinians), the Arabs weren't too hot on the Jews coming to the region. They certainly didn't offer any kind of shelter to persecuted Jews.
Arabs have abused and murdered Jews in the region before 1920 as well, except that it wasn’t called Palestine by the Ottoman rulers.
As one 19th century traveler remarked:
"I have seen a little fellow of six years old, with a troop of fat toddlers of only three and four, teaching [them] to throw stones at a Jew. And one little urchin would, with the greatest coolness, waddle up to the man and literally spit upon his Jewish gaberdine. To all this the Jew is obliged to submit; it would be more than his life was worth to offer to strike a Mahommedan."
Maybe Zionism is to blame?
The first Zionist congress took place in 1897. A pogrom against Jews in Safed took place in 1834. How prescient of the wise Palestinian resistance to the occupation to strike against Zionism over 60 years before it started!
But wait! There was also a pogrom in Safed in 1660, and in 1517... Come to think of it, didn’t the first Muslim massacre of Jews took place in 627 when Muhammad massacred the Banu Qurayza in a heroic battle in which 2 Muslims and 900 Jews were killed?
Seems like Zionism isn’t the problem, after all.
Maybe the kind and welcoming folks of Palestine are just vicious bigots? Nah, that’s impossible! They were the most peaceful, honest, and loving people on the planet before 1947 when they suddenly became the world’s #1 exporters of terrorism…
So please, spare us your lies.
You always hated Jews, always mistreated Jews, and you never welcomed them in Palestine.

masterlist of places to submit creative writing
it's intimidating thinking about submitting your precious work to judgement, but all the rejections are worth it when you finally get that one glowing acceptance email that puts your anxieties and impostor syndrome to bed. but where do you submit? it can be incredibly overwhelming trying to find the right sites/journals/zines to submit to so i thought i'd create a little collection of places i have found to submit to and i will update it whenever i find new discoveries.
PROSE ONLY
The Fiction Desk
They consider stories between 1k words and 10k words, paying 25 GBP per thousand words for stories they publish and contributors receive two complimentary paperback copies of the anthology. (A submission fee of 5 GBP for stories which sucks)
Extra Teeth
Works of fiction and creative nonfiction between 800 and 4,000 words receive a 140 GBP payment upon publication in the magazine as well as two copies that feature your work. If your work is selected to published online, you get 100 GBP instead. A Scottish based publication that also offers mentorships to budding writers. (Free)
Clarkesworld
Fantasy and sci-fi magazine accepting submissions of fiction from 1k to 22k words, paying 14 cent per word. Make sure you read their submissions page carefully, it gives you a good idea of what they're looking for and what will get you one of those disheartening rejection emails. (Free)
Granta
Open to unsolicited submissions of fiction and non-fiction. Unfortunately they do charge a 3.50 GBP fee for prose submissions, but they do offer 200 free submissions during every opening period (1 March - 31 March, 1 June - 30 June, 1 September - 30 September, 1 December - 31 December) to low income authors. No set minimum or maximum length, but most accepted works fall within 3,000 and 6,000 words.
Indie Bites
A fantasy short fiction publisher looking for clever hooks, strong characters and interesting takes on their issues' themes. Submissions should be no longer than 7,500 words. You get an honorarium of 5 GBP for each piece of yours that they publish - it's not much, but yay money! (Free)
Big Fiction
Novella publishers (7,500-20,000 words) looking for self-contained works of fiction that play with things like the linearity of narratives, perspective, structure and language. (Free)
Strange Horizons
Employing a broad definition of speculative fiction, they offer 10 cents a word for spec fiction up to 10,000 words but preferably around 5,000. (Free)
Fantasy and Science Fiction
They publish fiction up to 25,000 words in length, offering 8-12 cents per word upon publishing. (Free)
Fictive Dream
Short stories from 500 words to 2,500. They want writing with a contemporary feel that explores the human condition. (Free)
POETRY AND PROSE
eunoia review
Up to 10 poems in a single attachment, up to 15,000 words of fiction and creative non-fiction (can be multiple submissions amounting to that or a single piece). It's free to submit to, and they respond in 24 hours (I can vouch for that).
Confingo Magazine
Stories up to 5,000 words of any genre and poems (a max of three) up to 50 lines. Free to submit to and offer a 30 GBP payment to authors whose work is accepted.
Grain Magazine
Another Canadian based publication also supportive of marginalised identities. They accept poems (max. of six pages), fiction (max. of 3,500 words) or three flash fiction works that total 3.5k, literary nonfiction (3,500 words) and queries for works of other forms. All contributors are paid 50 CAD per page to a max of 250. Authors outside of Canada will need to pay a 5 CAD reading fee but they do offer a limited number of fee waivers if this impacts your ability to submit.
BTWN
An up-and-coming lit mag looking for diverse works that play with genres, breaks the rules and is a little weird. They want what typical lit mags reject. Stories up to 7,000 words, non-fiction up to 7,000 words and up to 4 poems totalling no more than 10 pages, hybrid work, comics/graphics up to 5 pages, original periodicals up to 14,000 words of prose or 20 pages of poetry. (Free)
Gutter
Accepting submission in spring and autumn work that challenges, re-imagines or undermines the status quo and pushes at the boundaries of form and function. If your contribution is chosen, you get 30 GBP for your work as well as a complimentary copy of the issue. Up to three poems (no more than 100 lines), fiction and essays (up to 2,500 words)
Whisk(e)y Tit
This one's worth checking out just for their logo. They're looking for fiction whether it's short stories, flash fiction or novel excerpts up to 7,000 words, up to 5 poems, up to 7,000 word essays, screenplays and stage plays (can be full works or excerpts up to 20 pages). (Free)
FOR QUEER AND MARGINALISED WRITERS
Plenitude magazine
A queer-focused Canadian literary magazine accepting poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. They define queer literature as create by queer people. (Free)
Lavender Review
Poetry written by and for lesbians. An annual Sappho's Prize in Poetry takes place every October. (Free)

LOST TRAVELERS INFORMATIONAL GUIDE
Q: What is A Fest?
A fest is a challenge in which participants choose a prompt or prompts from a list compiled by the fest moderator. It’s like telling tales, sharing art, and making music around the campfire.
Q: Do I have to answer all the prompts?
Of course not, Traveler! That’d be a lot of work! You can answer as many prompts as you want over as many days as you want. You can submit a single work for a single prompt during the whole week, or try to hit them all.
Q: Do I have to write for this?
Traveler, we aren’t all tale spinners and that’s a good thing! You can respond in any medium you want, art, fic, pod fic, playlists, or anything else you can think of is fine!
Q: If I do write, is there a word limit?
Nope.
Q: Is shipping allowed?
Yes.
Q: Are spoilers okay here?
Did they not cover that in training? Traveler, spoilers are fine as long as you tag for it.
Q: What does “open prompt” for Day 7 mean?
The sky’s the limit on open prompt day! You can submit anything you want, as long as it complies with the rest of the rules.
Q: I'm ready to submit! When can I do that?
During the submission period from March 2nd - March 8th on each prompts day. You can also submit any prompts during the late submission period from March 9th - March 15th.
Q: Right. How do I submit?
We're retiring the submission feature, that’s for sure. When you're ready to post just post on your blog and @ the event blog somewhere in the post. We will reblog posts in the order they were received.
Q: I have another question.
That’s why there’s an ask button, Traveler.

4th Batch: The Guardians!
[Blank Scripts AU (non-canonical)]
Inside the deeper layers of the Parable marches the sinister army of monsters, born from the flesh of the Dungeon itself.
Alongside them are human workers, learning to cooperate with these beasts and come together for one purpose.
To protect and nurture the Parable.
BATCH LIST:
- [1st Batch: The Inhabitants] - [2nd Batch: The Janitors] - [3rd Batch: The Citizens] - [4th Batch: The Guardians]
↓ [Thoughts and Credits below] ↓
The fourth illustration is complete after a long, long time!!
Excuse how long it took me to do this one by the way, I have things to do IRL and my own projects to complete [very excited to finish those by the way, it's been so long since I've posted a new AMV hehe] so it took me a while to have the spare time and come back to the OCs / Self Inserts!
Anyway, I'll try disciplining myself to draw more of the submitted characters! I have 4 more batches [19 characters] to draw, so please be patient with me! >﹏<
I swear I haven't forgotten about anyone! I've just been busy, hahaha.

Hello CS 2019 fandom. We’re back.
Player Appreciation Week 2025 will be held on March 24-30. The theme for this years’ prompts is Alternate Universes! Here they are below:

Text version and guidelines under the cut:
Day 1, March 24: Magic
Day 2, March 25: Soulmates
Day 3, March 26: Parallel Universe
Day 4, March 27: Sci-Fi
Day 5, March 28: Apocalyptic
Day 6, March 29: Royalty
Day 7, March 30: Time Travel
Alternate 1: Domestic
Alternate 2: Canon Divergence
Alternate 3: Role Swap
The alternative prompts can be used in place of any day. Fill as many or as few prompts as you’d like or have time for. The prompts themselves can be used as loosely or literally as you’d like. Prompts can be filled in any number of ways, including but not limited to: Fic, Art, Edits, Memes, Poetry, Analysis/Essay, Video, etc. If it's fannish and you created it, it counts!
If you cannot post your work on the day that it is meant for, you are welcome to post it any time between March 24-30 and we will have a grace period for one week after the event ends if anyone needs a little extra time to submit. As far as actual posting goes, create a post on your own tumblr blog and@playerappreciationweek , as well as tag #playerappreciationweek2025. If you have a fic, we encourage you to post it to Ao3 if possible, we’ll be making a collection for works there. You can then make a tumblr post with the link to your work. We will reblog the posts for everyone to find.
Leading up to the event, if you would like to send a short teaser for your work, please submit it as an ask to this blog with the prompt and day it is for. Once it gets closer to posting week, we’lll post it as an advertisement to help us all get hyped!
Rules:
1. This event is Player-centric, so anything created should feature Player as a prominent character in some way.
2. The event is Gen only, that is, no romantic relationships. Background relationships of Player’s or Carmen’s parents are fine, but the focus of your work should be on Player and his platonic/familial relationships. Please note that this means soulmate relationships for day 2’s prompt should be platonic or ambiguous, not romantic.
3. Have your work properly tagged both here on Tumblr and on Ao3. If there are more mature themes, hide your work under the cut on tumblr if applicable, and tag for any known trigger warnings/darker themes, such as Major Character Death, suicide ideation, or panic attacks.
4. No AI please.
We won’t reblog works that don’t fit these criteria.
We also have a discord server available for brainstorming and beta help! It’s open all year if you enjoy brainstorming CS 2019 ideas in general. Please hop over into @rueitae DMs to ask for an invitation. The server follows the same guidelines as the event.
If you have any clarifying questions, please don’t hesitate to send us an ask.
Looking forward to creating with you all!

April 14 Physical zine delivery

Once you submit your art and info, I will review the file(s) and text, and reach out to you via email within 24 hours. If you don’t hear from me, please contact me on Tumblr or Bluesky directly.
Please only submit one piece per person. Diptychs and triptychs are allowed.
If you’d like to make changes to any part of your submission, please contact me ASAP. I cannot accept changes for the physical copy after April 6; however for digital I can still make changes until April 28.
Submission Guidlines
Redraws, artwork inspired by the new visual, and cosplays are welcome.
Submission is limited to one piece per person, however diptychs and triptychs are allowed.
SFW, artistic nudity are allowed on a case by case basis.
All creation must be your own; AI generated images are strictly prohibited.
Along with the art, you also have the opportunity to submit a message for Studio Orange/Nightow. It will only be included in the one-off physical copy that is to be given to Studio Orange.
Any hateful, abusive language will not be tolerated.
General FAQ
1. What is this zine about?
The purpose of this fan zine is to celebrate the new announcement of Trigun Stargaze and the Trigun Stampede Exhibition, and Trigun manga’s 30th anniversary. It’s a collective love letter to Studio Orange and Yasuhiro Nightow.
2. What is in this zine?
This zine will feature a collection of art inspired by the new visual, including redraws, reinterpretations, and cosplays.
3. Can I submit my art? What are the requirements?
Everyone who is interested is encouraged to participate! This zine is submission-based, all skill levels, styles, and mediums are welcome. The artwork can be fully rendered or a sketch. The only requirements are SFW and it must be your own work. Artistic nudity is allowed on a case by case basis. See submission guidelines and submit your artwork here.
4. Where/when can I get this zine?
Free digital copies will be available to download in May. A link will be provided on Tumblr, Bluesky, and Twitter/X on my personal account, @/sponsoredbyadhd.
5. Can I buy a printed zine?
A one-off physical zine will be produced and gifted to Studio Orange; I will cover the production cost and hand deliver to the Trigun Stampede Exhibit. There is no planned commercial run of physical copies at this time. This project was inspired by the surge of fan redraws following the new visual reveal; the physical zine is a collective love letter, a fan mail to the creators and the series. But hey, you can totally print the digital version out yourself, that’s how you make zines. ;)
I will be in touch regarding important updates via email. Feel free to follow me @sponsoredbyadhd or on Bluesky as well regarding this project (not very active on Twitter/X but will share the major stuff). Please note that these are my personal accounts and I post and reblog whatever I like, including NSFW, so follow at your own discretion. Otherwise, I’ll tag everything with #redraw zine.
#Trigun#trigun stampede#redraw zine#if you’ve filled out an interest check with your email this info is also in your mailbox#LETS DO THIS!!!
