YES ! yes always ok to ask abt my ocs ahhh,,,, you and @violetboybeaming my oc goats (as of Today and Yesterday…) OK OK HERE U GO

i’m gonna start this assuming u rmemeber the mercy universe lore HEHE so if u don’t lmk and il tag you in it!! but mercy and ayano both grow up as sons of powerful/politically important families & they’re good friends as little kids. they’re both super duper energetic and love to run around and play in trees and outside together and stuff. their parents are not huge fans of their friendship as their shenanigans always end up with them being messy and Unpresentable (bad).

one day, when both of them are 10-12 as they’re at the park, they run off from their parents (talking abt smth boring) and ayano persuaded mercy to climb up this huge, huge tree. it’s super high up & he’s scared to do it but his friend is there so it’s going to be ok!! and for a while it is. however,, mercy isn’t as athletic as ayano, and while ayano is pulling him up to the next branch, he slips…. leading both of them to fall. they each break the arm they were using to hold onto each other with (though miraculously suffer not other major injuries). after this, their parents prevent them from playing to get her again, and both end up with their limbs amputated & replaced due to the whole rich-people-replacing-kids-body-parts thing.

after this event, the two fall out of contact & end up on two diverging paths—mercy learns that to survive he has to listen & do as he’s told, eventually convincing himself that the lifestyle his family leads is Good & Right (tied up into self-image issues relating to the whole screen face thing). ayano, in contrast, begins to act out at home, never wearing his prosthesis & taking up smoking in rebellion. the final straw comes when his parents attempt to have a new high tech, ‘permanent’ prosthesis attached to his arm (similar to mercy’s) —which he crushes on purpose. after this he’s sent to live with his poorer aunt in the mountains (worst possible punishment in the eyes of his parents, but she’s more chill so it actually helps him be more well adjusted) &evwntually meets up with mercy after his whole face thing doesn’t work out. the two don’t recognize each other at first (face thing + ayanos discovered he’s bigender so sometimes presents more fem and is generally different looking) but they do eventually reconnect!!

Favorite color: purple! Which I'm. Sure is. Not at all obvious. Based on my url. It varies tho, and a lot of my favorite clothing items are somewhere in the pink-orange-red area. Big fan of pink

Currently reading: ajsjfjf the Iliad.... it's been. Consuming my brain. Somehow ancient greek epic is taking over me brain I have been drawing characters from the Iliad.... it's so over for me.... it's also fun but I can't just. Tell people. To go read the iliad but it's good!! It's a classic for a reason I guess BWQBJSKRKEA

Last song: umm technically I think Monster from Epic the Musical! (You'll never guess what got me to start reading the iliad....) I use Epic as background noise whenever I'm doing anything though, so last song I listened to for the sake of listening to it was Overthink, which is the season 1 outro for link click!! It's very good and I'm insane for that show's entire soundtrack :3

Last movie: uhh idk I dont. Watch movies very often hmmmmmm. It was either Groundhog Day or the Mario movie I think?? I watched Groundhog Day on Groundhog Day and I watched the Mario movie with my brother a little while ago but. I do not remember when that was esiidjfjra

Last series: I think probably Doctor Stone! I've been watching it with my family for the first time, it's lots of fun :] i just got to the episode where everyone gives senku a telescope and I thought it was so sweet :] (coming back like an hour later to say that I got interrupted working on this because I. Went to go watch Dr. Stone WJEJJFRJWQ)

Sweet, savory, spicy: ummm I guess I have to confess. I have like zero spice tolerance :'] I've gotten better but I'm much more sweet or savory kinda guy. Between those, depends on my mood ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm a big fan of french fries in ice cream tho. I guess I'm kind of picky about food in general, I say I like sweet stuff but I really mean I enjoy like. 3 sweet things. Black forest cake is to die for though

Craving: hmmmmm um well. Thinking about black forest cake now :'] that's going to have to wait til my birthday though. I've also wanted to have basic normal boring instant ramen for like two days but my plans keep getting foiled

Tea/coffee: I like both! Depends on my mood tbh. I drink a lot of iced coffee and iced tea because I get it for free at my job, I like putting mango flavor syrup in my iced tea it's super good for free iced tea which is usually breakfast

Currently working on: SJDJFJSA THE FULL LIST WOULD TAKE FOREVER..... I guess most recently I've been working on designs for characters from the iliad (I'm insane crazy insane INSANE.....) and I've also been working on an animatic of Dangerous from Epic with my silly Hermes design :] (he's got fun sunglasses!! He's not historically accurate!! What's not to love) also putting together a Kim disco elysium cosplay and working on improving my trucy cosplay for a con I go to in March!

UM AHSJDJFJG,,,, I DOTN KNOW HOW MUCH LORE I HAVE FOR THEM UP… I WILL TAG U IN SOME STUFF…. i think i actually answered a little bit about them after u fell asleep HEHEFHFH.

here’s some info on selkies i stole from their artfight bios…..!

pearl: At the age of 4, Pearl was caught in the nets of a fishing boat. It was so long before anyone noticed him that he’d transformed into the form of a young child, wrapped in a thick brown cloak. The fisherman who eventually noticed him were started to see him, of course, but even more so by his silence—he did not cry or scream, he just stared at them, taking in his surroundings with almost unsettling intensity. One of the fisherman decided to take him home, where he slowly acclimated to human life and was doted on by his somewhat overbearing older adopted sister (about 8 compared to Pearl’s 4) Ellie, who was at the time excited to have a new sister to play with & dress up. At first unsteady on his feet & constantly falling, he eventually learned to walk, though slowly. He never quite grew out of that intense eye contact, though sometimes chooses to avoid it entirely to avoid unsettling others. Though he never talked to her, (or, really, anyone) he developed a fondness for Katie, an extroverted girl and proficient swimmer at his school, and the two quickly became fast friends. Neither of them are fully aware of their selkie nature or origins—though when Pearl is forced off of a cliff overlooking the ocean and Katie moves to save him, they’re forced to find out.

katie: Katie, unlike her friend Pearl, was found beached as an infant on the shore of the Pacific by a young woman who took her in (in a somewhat legally questionable way). She’s always displayed an affinity for the beach and water, and spent most of her childhood hanging out outside, though somehow she seems fully impervious to sunburn. Due to her constant practice & general affinity for swimming, she does fairly well at her school’s swim team, though doesn’t always place in meets. In late high school, she extrovert-adopts Pearl and the two extremely become super close, doing almost everything together. Shes more generally acclimated to human life than he is, & even takes off her jacket to swim—after all, why wear a jacket in the water?—though it does make her feel slightly exposed i na way she doesn’t quite understand. One day, as her and Pearl have a picnic on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, she’s confronted by a group of girls angry at her participation on the school swim team. When Pearl gets up instinctively to try and force them away, they push him back & he trips over the cliffside. They run off & Katie jumps after Pearl (without her jacket), knowing he doesn’t (and presuming he can’t) swim. However, she hits a rock on the dive & passes out. When she wakes up next, she’s on the shore next to Pearl—who, for some reason, is missing almost all of his clothes except his scarf. They call a frantic Ellie (Pearl’s sister), who takes them home, thankfully, without asking questions. Neither of them quite know what’s going on, but it doesn’t take long to put the pieces together…

ANYWAY TLDR… THEYRE FIRENDS THEYRE MY … T4T RELAIONSHIP VAGUELY APPROACHING QPR…. THEYRE SEAL GUYS…. i like them. Very much.
