MARIO KART WORLD!!!!

I don't know about anyone else but I'm so jacked for this! Here's just a few neat things I noticed...

Everyone saw from the early teaser that Donkey Kong has gotten a redesign to fit his classic look. I may be reading too much into this but it looks like he's not the only one. A few other characters look like they've been tweaked ever so slightly to reflect an older more classic look! Again, I could be wrong but something about the look feels like something from a SNES era.

In the trailer it looks like when you eat a burger you transform into a different costume... odd but I'm into it. I mention this because a reddit user named "AutumnRCS" took this screenshot from a trailer:

There's no way this is Boshi from Mario RPG but it looks like they gave a blue Yoshi a costume that is 100% an homage to it. The glasses... the spiked collar... It be insane if we saw Geno and Mallow pop up!

There's other references all over the place like the Mario Bros. Truck and the 3D Hot Ralley car:

This Isn't a reference but there's a sweet new robo Donkey Kong!

They also really beautifully weaved the original Mario Kart theme into the new theme at around the 50 second mark in the trailer. Such a lovely piece of nostalgia.

The last thing I'll mention is... no no no I'm not jealous Nintendo ran off my idea for a new Mario Kart... (obviusly I'm kidding) but YEARS ago I did have this idea:

Super Mario Compact Disco - Ambassadors of Funk

While looking up to see if Princess Daisy from the Mario series has a last name(she doesn't apparently) I saw a mention of a voice actress for Super Mario Compact Disco, which piqued my interest, and this album is pretty fun. An album of hip-hop/electronic remixes(?) of music from the Mario games mixed with tracks that are supposed to sound like a radio DJ. One track(Supermariokart) even samples Kraftwerk's Numbers from Cputer World. My one complaint is the way that Mario is pronounced, as it is pronounced mary-oh in the album, but listening to the voice actor for Mario(Charles Martinet in most games starting with Mario 64) it is pronounced mah-ree-oh, although this might be due to the Ambassadors of Funk being from the UK. My favorite track is Supermarioworld.
