Sethos x Scaramouche (romantic)
Lee: Scaramouche
Ler: Sethos
Warnings: Tickles! Its 3am help me
________________________________________________________
Whoever thought that playing hide and seek at night was a good idea? Wanderer simply wanted some peace and quiet, until that annoying busy bee came up to him with the audacity to ask to play something as childish as hide and seek.
Despite how bothersome it seemed, Scaramouche couldn’t find it in himself to reject the guy. Maybe it was something in the air, maybe it was the fact that it was his birthday, who knows.
So there was Scara, wandering around the darkened desert, with only the stars as his guide. At first, he thought he could perhaps ditch Sethos while the latter counted, but that was proving to be difficult. No matter where Wanderer went, he could hear the taunting teases of that annoying bee.
“I’m gonna getcha~”
No matter where he looked, there was no sign of the bow wielder. Where was he even hiding? There's only sand all around!
Before he could curse at his surroundings, a pair of hands materialized from what felt like thin air and poked at his sides.
“GAH! What the-?!” Wanderer instantly whipped his head around to look for the perpetrator, only to find nada. How strange.
He tried to keep walking, only to shriek in surprise at the sudden squeeze he felt on his hip. And again, no sight of that mischievous bee.
This same song and dance carried on for a while, with those pesky hands poking and prodding at Scara’s torso. Causing the ex-harbinger to let out an array of embarrassing noises, without much luck at catching the perpetrator. He felt like the desert dweller was just toying with him at this point, tormenting him for his selfish amusement. It annoyed him to no end! Definitely didn’t leave him flustered. What’s that? His cheeks are all red? Shut up, it’s just the light from the moon playing tricks.
Anticipating another attack, Scara managed to snatch a wrist, quickly turning to apprehend the offendor. Indigo eyes locked onto mischievous, emerald ones.
“Found you~ You’re not very good at hiding, y’know?”
“Where was I even supposed to hide? There’s only sand for miles ahead” Wanderer huffed, definitely not upset at having lost this silly game. Nuh uh.
Sethos could only laugh in response, the sound sending a strange, fluttery feeling through Hat guy’s chest. Though, he chose to ignore it.
“Y’know, I never realized how ticklish you are” the brunette landed a poke on Wanderer’s side, earning a startled squeak.
“Do that again and I’ll make you regret it” he growled out, which only made him seem cuter, in Sethos’ humble opinion.
“Oh? Well, I’m always up for a challenge~”
Wanderer wasn’t sure what happened. One moment he was glaring at that annoying bee, and then he’s suddenly laying down on the sand, hat fallen off, getting a full view of the night’s sky. He felt the warm weight of Sethos settling on top of his hips, keeping him stuck, though that didn’t stop him from struggling. He twisted and turned, kicked out his legs, but it was all useless. When that failed, he opted to glare at the man on top of him, even if he knew deep down that it was ineffective. Since the first day they met, Sethos had always been drawn to him like a moth to a flame, never afraid. It was odd, receiving all this attention, but it wasn’t the worst thing in the world.
Hat guy’s inner monologue came to a halt when those fingers rested against his sides, lightly tapping up and down. He hated how it made his skin jump. He hated how much this stupid bee affected him, no matter how hard he tried to control himself.
“C’mon, laugh for me~” Sethos cooed encouragingly, a bright smile blossoming along his lips at the sight of that delicious red blush painting Scaramouche’s cheeks.
“I do not lahaugh- waHAit! NoHOho!” any semblance of composure went out the window the moment that those fingers climbed their way up his ribcage, feeling those unbearable pokes and prods along the bones and between them.
“Haha! You’re even cuter when you actually smile and laugh” the electro user laughed along with him, only serving to further embarrass him. Scara would desperately try to bite down on his lip, to keep those awful sounds at bay, but that sly bee somehow managed to find every little spot that made him want to crawl out of his skin.
The higher those fingers went, the more desperate Scaramouche’s laughter got.
“I’m getting the sneaking suspicion that I’m about to reach a sweet spot~” the brunette leaned down to whisper against the flushed ear, serving to fluster the squirming male beneath him further.
Once he managed to worm his fingers up to Scara’s underarms, the dam finally broke. Loud, unrestrained laughter flowed out of the latter’s mouth. Sethos felt his mouth go agape, he never thought that this ball of grump could ever sound so… free? Happy? Joyful? All the above? It was truly such a mesmerizing sound, as great as finding an oasis in the middle of the desert. Paired up with the rare but beautiful wide smile. Yup, he could pass away to celestia right now.
When Wanderer went all limp under him did he finally let up, though he couldn’t stop himself from ogling at the mess he left behind. Indigo hair all tussled out of place, flushed puffed out cheeks, and that smile that Scara tried to hide but couldn’t stop himself.
“Beautiful…” the words escaped his lips without realizing, surprising the both of them. He could’ve sworn that Scaramouche’s blush deepened, a blush of his own not trailing far behind.
He suddenly tumbled off with a soft ‘oof’ when Scara pushed him off, seemingly trying to ignore… whatever just happened. He watched as the wanderer stood up, grabbing his hat and dusting the sand off before putting it back on. Was he leaving already? “Wait, where are you going?”
“It’s still your birthday, right? C’mon, I have something to give you” he stretched his hand out to Sethos, pulling the brunette to his feet. The whirlwind of emotions felt even more intense now, and the bow user didn’t know what to do with himself.
In an act of impulse, Sethos placed a quick kiss on Scara’s cheek, causing the anemo user to freeze up. Indigo eyes widened in surprise, though there was no anger or annoyance behind them. He reached to touch the patch of skin that had been grazed by soft lips, the corners of his mouth quirking up into a faint smile.
“Tch… annoying bee” Scara feigned annoyance, yet his hand found its way to Sethos’, linking their fingers together as they walked.
“Happy birthday” Wanderer whispered, like a sweet breeze against Sethos’ skin. To think that a silly game of hide and seek could’ve lead to something much greater. Truly the best birthday yet.

Built to Last
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Felicity Leong-Piastri (Original Character)
Part of the The mysterious Mrs. Piastri Series.
Summary:   Oscar and Felicity have their own Wedding Anniversary Traditions.
Warnings and Notes: Big thanks to @llirawolf , who listens to me ramble 😂
Tumblr media
Oscar didn’t mean to mention it.
They were halfway through a post-sim debrief, leaning against the wall outside the engineering bay, sipping coffee. The conversation was harmless, easy: weather, schedules…
And then, somewhere between a yawn and checking his calendar, Oscar said it.
“Anniversary’s next week.”
Lando blinked over the rim of his cup. “Wait. Anniversary anniversary?”
Oscar glanced sideways, frowning faintly. “Yeah. Wedding.”
There was a beat of stunned silence.
Then Lando made a sound like a cat being startled from a nap and nearly dropped his coffee. “Mate. What are you doing? Where are you taking her? What’s the plan? I’ll babysit. Have you booked something? Have you bought her a present? Is it diamonds? It should be diamonds.”
Oscar blinked. “It’s… not diamonds.”
Lando looked personally betrayed. Like Oscar had just declared that love was fake and Santa wasn’t real.
“You’re telling me you’ve been married for five years and you don’t do an anniversary anniversary?”
Oscar shifted his weight, eyebrows pinching together. “We usually just… make grilled cheese. Sit on the porch. If Bee’s asleep, we drink wine. If she’s not, we share juice boxes. Maybe pick out a piece of furniture. Something we actually need.”
Lando stared. “That’s it?”
Oscar shrugged. “We like it.”
“But—” Lando flailed, gesturing with his coffee like it was a wand summoning romance. “But this is the one day a yearwhen you go big. You know, romantic dinner, private jet, maybe one of those poems that makes people cry.”
“I’m not writing Fliss a poem.”
“Why not?!”
“Because I’d die of secondhand embarrassment before she even finished reading it. And she’d probably edit it for rhythm and meter and grammar.”
“She’d annotate your love poem,” Lando breathed, delighted. “God, I love her.”
Oscar smirked into his cup. “Same.”
Lando narrowed his eyes. “Okay, but still—you’re telling me you’ve never done a surprise trip? Champagne on a boat? A room full of candles? A necklace in a soufflé?”
“That’s a choking hazard.”
“You’re impossible.”
Oscar sipped his coffee and shrugged again, but this time, the movement wasn’t quite so casual.
Because the truth was… he hadn’t really thought about it.
Not in the way Lando meant.
He and Felicity didn’t do fireworks. Their entire relationship had been built on low murmurs and steady hands, not fanfare and spectacle. Their romance was forged in the back corners of university labs and packed lunches, in checking engine oil and falling asleep on the couch after Bee finally stopped crying at 3 am. It wasn’t showy. It wasn’t curated. It was real. Grounded.
But now, with Lando’s eyes boring into him like Oscar had committed a federal crime against romance, he felt a small, unsettling prickle of doubt crawl up the back of his neck.
Maybe he should’ve planned something. Maybe grilled cheese wasn’t enough. Maybe Felicity deserved diamonds and candlelit dinners and Instagram-worthy anniversaries with rose petals and skyline views.
He’d never once heard her complain. Never once seen disappointment flicker in her eyes when they swapped fancy reservations for couch blankets or museum dates for garden centre runs.
But still.
He took another sip of his coffee, slower this time.
“Maybe I’ll… think about it,” he muttered.
***
Later that evening, Oscar padded barefoot into the kitchen.
The house smelled like vanilla and sugar and the faint, familiar undertone of something gently burning in the oven. Warm light spilt across the tiled floor. Felicity was elbow-deep in flour at the counter, sleeves rolled to her elbows, curls falling loose from the bun on top of her head. Beside her, Bee stood on her wooden step stool, tongue poked out in concentration as she whacked cookie cutters into rolled dough with the determination of a tiny construction foreman.
There was flour on the floor. On the counter. In Bee’s eyebrows. One of the cats had paw prints across the hallway that suggested he had also tried to help. It looked like domestic chaos and safety, and home.
Oscar leaned against the doorframe and took a moment to watch them — Bee holding up a wonky star shape like she’d just forged the moon, Felicity smiling as she adjusted the dough thickness with an old wooden rolling pin they’d found at a flea market on holiday.
He cleared his throat.
“Hey,” he said, voice soft, a little scratchy with nerves. “Do you… wanna do something for the anniversary this year? Like. A thing.”
Felicity glanced up.
She didn’t answer right away. Just looked at him — really looked — eyes narrowing slightly in amusement.
And then she laughed.
Not unkindly. Never that. It was the sort of laugh that curled through the room like sunshine, golden and affectionate and just the tiniest bit smug. The kind that said she already knew where this was going. That maybe Lando had texted her before Oscar even made it home.
“You want to do a thing?” she asked, brushing a flour-smudged curl off her forehead with the back of her wrist.
Oscar rubbed the back of his neck, the way he always did when he felt a bit uncertain. “I mean… not like a jet to Paris kind of thing. Unless you want to. But just… I don’t know. Something special?”
She grinned — full teeth, eyes soft. Wiped her hands on a tea towel and stepped away from the counter.
“Oz, we got married at a registry office and ate Pret sandwiches on a bench outside. You think I’m holding out for a rooftop dinner now?”
Oscar shifted his weight. “I just thought… maybe you wanted something a bit more… grand?”
She snorted.
Actually snorted. Then, full-body laughed, leaning back against the counter, shoulders shaking.
Bee looked up, startled. “Mama snorted.”
“I did,” Felicity said, brushing her knuckles against her nose. “Because your papa is being very sweet.”
She turned back to Oscar, eyes still crinkled at the corners. “What brought this on?”
He sighed, defeated. “Lando.”
“Ah.” Her mouth twitched. “Lando said. Of course.”
“He asked if I’d bought you diamonds,” Oscar muttered, stepping fully into the kitchen now. “Or planned a surprise trip. Or hidden a necklace in a soufflé.”
Felicity’s eyebrows hit her hairline. “A soufflé?”
“I know.”
“He does realise you don’t like soufflés, right?”
Oscar chuckled. “I told him that was a choking hazard.”
Felicity laughed again, and then reached across the counter to take his hand. Her fingers were cool from the dough, her touch familiar and grounding. The weight of it settled something in Oscar’s chest.
“We went to Pret after our wedding,” she said.
Oscar nodded. “In our wedding clothes. On a bench outside.”
“I got egg mayo on my dress.”
Bee, still diligently cutting stars, looked up and said solemnly, “I like egg mayo.”
Oscar squeezed Felicity’s hand. “Your mama’s the only person I know who would pick a sandwich over a three-course meal.”
“And your Papa married me anyway,” Felicity said, proudly.
“I got the better end of the deal.”
She rolled her eyes affectionately. “Don’t get sentimental, Tin Man.”
He hesitated. “But still… five years is a big. And I don’t want you to think I don’t care. Just because we don’t do all that—” he gestured vaguely toward the ceiling “—sparkler-and-chandelier stuff.”
“I don’t need sparkles,” she said gently. “We already have our tradition.”
Oscar blinked.
“Every year,” she said, “we pick something for the house. Something that matches the traditional anniversary theme.”
“Right,” Oscar said, memory clicking into place. “Year one — paper — we got Bee’s sonogram framed.”
“Two was cotton — the new sheets,” Felicity added. “Three, leather — that vintage armchair from Brighton. Four was fruit — we planted the lemon tree. Which is still alive, by the way.”
Oscar grinned. “So this year…?”
“Wood,” Felicity said, brightly. “I was thinking maybe a hutch for the dining room? Something low enough for Bee to use, too. Or we could go to that reclaimed timber place you like. Get something together. As a family.”
She paused, then added slyly, “Unless you’d rather get me a life-sized mahogany sculpture of your face.”
Oscar made a face. “God, no.”
Felicity kissed him then. Quick, warm, and sweet — flour and sugar clinging to her cheek. The smell of dough in her hair.
“Let’s do what we always do,” she said. “Grilled cheese sandwiches. Something for the house. And maybe a dance in the kitchen when Bee’s asleep.”
Oscar leaned his forehead against hers.
“You’re not disappointed?”
Felicity looked up at him, so sure, so steady. “You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I don’t need a yacht. I need a hutch and a sandwich and you.”
Oscar swallowed.
“Good,” he whispered. “Because I really want that hutch.”
Bee looked up from the counter and asked innocently, “What’s a hutch?”
And Felicity grinned. “It’s where we put the cookies, baby.”
***
Five years.
Oscar still couldn’t quite believe it.
Not in the dramatic, we made it through storms and fire kind of way. Not even in the dazed, champagne-toast-and-fireworks sense people always talked about when anniversaries came up in interviews.
It was quieter than that. Softer. It was the realisation that love could be an accumulation instead of a crescendo.
It was the gentle clink of plates in the morning and Bee’s feet swinging rhythmically against the chair legs. It was the scent of coffee lingering in the air and the warmth of Felicity’s hand on his back as she passed behind him in the kitchen. It was the smear of strawberry jam Bee had left on the counter. The playlist Felicity always put on when she was in a good mood. The socks Oscar was wearing—his, but mismatched, because Bee had picked them out for him while giggling.
Five years married. Eight together. One life—stitched together out of early morning moments and late night compromises. Out of burnt toast and half-written text messages and late returns from races.
“Extra sharp cheddar and caramelised onion chutney,” Felicity announced, flipping one of the sandwiches in the pan with decisive grace. Her hair was still damp from the shower, curling slightly at the nape of her neck. “Don’t let it be said I don’t put in effort.”
Oscar, perched sideways on one of the stools by the kitchen island, raised his hands in mock surrender. “You know I’ve been looking forward to this all week.”
“Lando texted me to make sure I remembered,” she deadpanned. “Apparently, this is now a cultural event.”
Bee, seated at the dining table with her plush frog and a mini sandwich cut into stars, beamed up at both of them. “I love anniversary grilled cheese.”
“You love any grilled cheese,” Felicity said without looking up.
“I love love grilled cheese,” Bee insisted, her voice full of confidence and cheese-induced delight, legs swinging beneath the table like a metronome of joy.
Oscar laughed quietly. “That’s a bold statement.”
Bee pointed at her sandwich with all the solemnity of a toddler philosopher. “It’s warm and gooey and special. Like Mama and Papa.”
That stopped him for a second.
Felicity glanced over and raised an eyebrow, the corners of her mouth twitching. “Do not cry over grilled cheese, Oz.”
“I’m not crying,” Oscar said, already reaching for a napkin. “There’s just… steam in my eyes.”
They ate slowly, comfortably—Felicity curled up in her usual spot with her plate on her knees, Oscar dipping the corners of his sandwich into his tomato soup, Bee talking non-stop about a worm she found in the garden yesterday. The kitchen was golden with afternoon sun. No candles, no tablecloth, no grand declarations—just the three of them, a shared meal, and the faint crackle of an old playlist Felicity had made back when they still lived in Enstone, back when money was tight and futures uncertain and grilled cheese had been dinner out of necessity, not tradition.
But tradition it had become.
In the afternoon, they piled into the car and drove out to a secondhand furniture barn two towns over.
It wasn’t glamorous, but then again, neither were they. They liked it that way. Felicity had found the place during a parts run last year—one of those half-accidental discoveries she stored away in her head for a later date. She liked it because the floors creaked and the man who ran it gave out peppermints in mismatched jars. Bee liked it because there was a sleepy orange cat who rotated between different armchairs like royalty, completely unfazed by toddlers.
Oscar liked it because Felicity would wander through the aisles like she was in a gallery, fingertips brushing along the edges of furniture like she could read their stories. He’d catch her eyeing a carved drawer or a joint that needed sanding, and he could see the math running behind her eyes. Not just the dimensions, but the future. Where it would fit. What colour she'd repaint it. How many memories it could hold.
They spent nearly two hours there.
Bee trailed after them like a tiny contractor with a tape measure, periodically declaring, “This is too big for our dining room!” or “Mama, this one has a secret drawer!” or “That’s a no, Papa. That cabinet is too wobbly.”
Felicity laughed the whole time. Oscar kept a mental list of her maybes and a running total in his head of what they could fit in the car if they sacrificed the front seat.
Eventually, they found it.
Or rather, Felicity did.
It was tucked in the back corner of the barn, half-covered by a faded quilt and surrounded by old brass lamps and a sagging chaise lounge. An old oak hutch—solid, heavy, a little battered, its wood rich with age. The panels on the doors were intricately carved with vines and flowers, and the handles were brass, worn down by decades of use into something soft and warm to the touch.
Felicity ran her hand across the top of it slowly, reverently.
“It’s not perfect,” she murmured, inspecting a scuff at the corner and one drawer that stuck a little.
Oscar stood beside her and smiled. “Neither are we.”
She looked up, and her eyes were suddenly full—quiet and luminous, filled with all the years behind them and everything still ahead.
Bee tugged gently at her sleeve. “Can we put the fancy teapot in it?”
“I think we should,” Felicity said, brushing Bee’s curls back behind her ear. “Front and centre.”
Oscar crouched to test the hinges, and Bee knelt beside him like an assistant, watching his every move with deep concentration.
They left with the receipt, three complimentary peppermints, and the hutch wedged somewhat impossibly into the back of their car.
The ride home was full of Bee humming show tunes, Felicity tracing patterns on Oscar’s thigh with her fingertip, and the slight creak of the old hutch every time they hit a bump.
***
That night, after Bee had fallen asleep in a tangle of books and tired limbs — curled half off her bed with a plush frog tucked under one arm and a paper crown from that afternoon still slightly askew on her head — Oscar padded quietly into the kitchen, barefoot and already half-ready for bed.
The house had gone still in that soft, late-evening way he loved most. The kind of quiet that settled around the bones of a place when the day had been good, full. Like the whole house had exhaled.
And there she was.
Felicity was sitting at the dining table in one of his old sweatshirts, sleeves pushed up to her elbows, legs curled beneath her in that way that always made him wonder how she didn’t cramp up. A mug of tea steamed faintly in her hands, forgotten for the moment. Her gaze was fixed across the room.
On the hutch.
The old new hutch, as Bee had christened it. Sanded that afternoon by Felicity’s hand, already partially filled with mismatched mugs and the “fancy teapot” Bee had insisted deserved its own shelf. A tiny post-it note was stuck to one corner: oil the hinges – squeaky! in Felicity’s loopy handwriting.
Oscar stood in the doorway for a second, watching her. The light above the table was warm, casting gold across her cheekbones and glinting off the wedding band and engagement ring she wore on a chain around her neck…joined by a tiny bee pendant — not because she didn’t like wearing it on her hand, but because grease from her work tended to cake into the setting, and she hated scrubbing it clean.
“Happy five years,” she said softly, without turning. Just sensing him there, like she always did. She held the mug out in his direction without looking.
He crossed the room and took it from her hands, fingers brushing hers. “Best anniversary yet.”
“We say that every year.”
“And every year it’s true.”
Oscar didn’t sit. Instead, he stepped in closer, between her knees where she sat at the table, and leaned down until their foreheads touched. Her breath ghosted against his jaw, warm and familiar.
“Thank you,” he murmured, eyes closed. “For not wanting soufflé or champagne on rooftops.”
Felicity smiled. “Thank you for grilled cheese and dusty furniture.”
He laughed — low, fond. “Think we’ll last another five?”
She didn’t answer right away. Just shifted her hand and pressed it flat to his chest, right over his heart, like she could feel the rhythm of him and anchor herself to it. Her thumb brushed the soft cotton of his t-shirt once, twice.
“We’re built to last,” she said.
It wasn’t a declaration. It wasn’t said with smug certainty. It was just quiet, confident truth — the same tone she used when she taught Bee how to braid her hair or fix a loose kitchen drawer. Sure. Steady. Real.
Oscar let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
They didn’t need candlelit hotels. They didn’t need fireworks or diamond earrings or handwritten poetry folded into napkins.
They had grilled cheese sandwiches and secondhand oak hutches. They had playlists from Enstone and shared garden shears and a lemon tree in the yard that Bee watered with a plastic watering can shaped like a dinosaur. They had 3 a.m. wake-ups and tiny shoes by the door and two coffee mugs chipped on the same side.
They had this.
In the quiet house, with the scent of melted cheese still lingering in the corners, and the distant sound of Bee’s voice talking softly in her sleep about castles and worms and the cat from the furniture barn, Oscar rested his head against Felicity’s.
And he realized — maybe more fully than ever before — that this was what a life well-built looked like.
No grand blueprint. No parade. Just the slow layering of love and time.
One sandwich. One piece of furniture. One quiet, extraordinary year at a time.

Group Chat: Piastri Fam ❤️
Hattie: happy anniversary to my brother who got married in secret and then called mum like “soooooo I have a wife now” 😌👏
Edie: still iconic behavior. like, historical. will be studying it for generations.
Mae: it’s the fact that he called mumlike. not even a “hey fam, big news!” just. CALLED. MUM.
Nicole: Yes, well. I still remember exactly where I was. Laundry basket in one hand. Phone in the other. My eldest child says, “Hey Mum, just got married.” Like he was telling me the weather.
Like he was updating me on tyre pressures.
Chris: I just want it on record that I found out from your MOTHER.
She said, “Well, he’s gone and done it.”
I thought you’d joined a cult.
Nicole: Christopher.
Oscar: Okay, first of all, I texted first and THEN called. Let’s not rewrite history. I’m a responsible man.
Hattie: “responsible man” my ass you were 18 and married sandwich in one hand
Mae: THEY ATE PRET FOR THEIR WEDDING DINNER. I WILL NEVER BE OVER IT.
Nicole:I still sigh about it, just so you know. All that money I saved for a wedding dress… and you went with a Pret a Manger sandwich
Oscar:It was a really good sandwich.
Chris:Can’t believe my son’s wedding meal was a £3.75 meal deal
Edie: felicity said “I don’t want a fuss” and oscar said “I too hate fuss” and now they have been married for 5 years.
Nicole: You could’ve called us.  One phone call, Oscar. One. You could have let me buy a dress or at least cry into a cupcake.
Chris: You say that like it wasn’t the most Oscar move possible.
Mae: Honestly. Five years later and he’s still the same: Emotionally repressed. Surprisingly sentimental. Mildly chaotic.
Edie:  And he somehow landed a tiny genius mechanic wife who could take all of us in a fight.
Oscar:  I am right here.
Hattie: Happy anniversary, Osc 💕 Give Felicity a kiss from us. And tell her we love her more than we love you.
Mae: Seconded.
Nicole:Happy Anniversary, darlings 💛 Still not over the phone call but we’re so proud of you both. And Bee, obviously. You made something wonderful.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t expect to come home to see your husband crying while folding laundry. At first, you thought something must be seriously wrong. Yeonjun was always fairly emotional, but you hadn’t seen him cry since you gave birth to your baby girl Yejin two weeks ago. He wasn’t one to cry over little things, and the tears only started falling when he was stressed or upset or overwhelmed with emotion. Seeing his red nose and puffy eyes sitting in the middle of the living room floor took you off guard.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” You were holding your newborn in one arm and shrugging off your jacket with the other, eyes glancing over your baby’s face once again.
The new mother anxiety was something you had somewhat anticipated and prepared for. But just how anxious and paranoid you were over your newborn child still surprised you. It was like if you took your eyes off of her for more than ten seconds, something horrible was bound to happen to her. Your mind was put at ease to find her still sleeping soundly in your arms. The walk around the newbourhood in her stroller had tired her out, and carrying her back inside did nothing to wake her.
Your husband looked up at you with fresh tears in his eyes and a pout on his lips, sniffing quietly. You walked over to where he was sitting, gently transferring Yejin to her newborn rocker where she could continue napping safely. Then, you turned to your husband and raised an eyebrow as if to reiterate your previous question without verbally stating it again.
“It’s nothing, just…” Yeonjun trailed off with a sigh, a light pink baby onesie on one of his hands. The garment was so small compared to him. Even the small stacks of neatly folded clothes looked tiny, although it was nearly half your daughter’s wardrobe.
“She’s so small,” Yeonjun whispered, another tear rolling down his cheek. Immediately, you understood exactly where all the emotions were coming from. It happened to you a few times as well when Yejin was particularly cute or you remembered just how long you and Yeonjun had tried for a child, all the struggle it took to get to this point. It was all worth it for her, your perfect little bundle of joy. Even looking at her brought a smile to your face. Even though it had been hard, for her, you would do it all again in a heartbeat.
“And—and, I was folding her clothes, and they’re all just so small, just like her. And she’s so, so cute, and she’s really ours. It doesn’t feel real that she’s finally here. Sometimes I think I’ll wake up one day and realize this was all a dream, like we’re back a few years ago still trying for her,” Yeonjun breathed, words mumbled in his choked up voice.
You shifted closer to him, brushing a hand up and down his back as he leant into your touch. With how often Yeonjun had comforted you and wiped your tears away during pregnancy, now it was your turn to do the same for him.
You had taken it hard back then. Every negative test, every piece of false hope, every month that went by without progress; your husband was there to comfort you through it all. He stayed firm and strong when you weren’t able to. You knew he had been holding back his own feelings on it for you, not wanting to show how much it affected him too. You’d be blind to not see how much it was hurting him as well. He had always wanted a family just as much as you had, and you knew just how happy he was to have finally been able to start one.
It was just an emotional journey.
Yeonjun fully rested his head on your shoulder, warm tears dripping onto your shirt. You didn’t mind. You just continued to stroke his back, reaching out to hold one of his hands and giving it a reassuring squeeze. Yeonjun couldn’t stay strong forever. Although it had been two weeks since you came home from the hospital, it felt like today was the first time you truly got to relax and breathe. Caring for a newborn was nonstop, and you were both running on sleepless nights and parenting anxiety. You worked through it like you did anything, though. As long as you had each other, you were sure things would turn out okay.
“I’m sorry,” Yeonjun whispered after minutes of silence. “I didn’t mean to get so emotional all of a sudden.” He pulled back from the hug and sent you a small smile, assuring you silently that he was okay, that those small moments of comfort were all he needed. He carefully folded the small onesie he was still holding and placed it on top of the stack of other similar ones.
Leaning over the baby rocker, he smiled brightly at his daughter. Still sleeping soundly without a care in the world, wrapped up in a soft yellow onesie. Her hands were balled into little tiny fists, so small that they could barely wrap around Yeonjun’s thumb.
He brushed a few fingers over Yejin’s head and soft wispy strands of hair. It was peaceful watching her sleep, and a feeling of reassurance washed over Yeonjun. He was her dad, and he loved her more than anything in the world. He’d sacrifice everything for her— his perfect little angel.

Itoshi Sae x Reader !
‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
Public Secrets
For the longest time, the world believed Itoshi Sae was single.
The media loved speculating about his love life, linking him to models, actresses, and even other athletes, but none of them knew the truth. None of them knew that, behind the cameras and away from the prying eyes, Sae had already given his heart to you.
It was a private thing, something he wanted to keep for himself. He had never been the type to flaunt his emotions, much less his relationships. You understood that. You never pushed. You were content with the quiet moments, the stolen kisses behind closed doors, the whispered confessions before he left for training.
But today… today was different.
You were at the stadium, seated in the VIP section, watching Sae dominate the field with his usual cold precision. His movements were sharp, effortless, as if he were dancing between defenders with ease. But while you were focused on him, someone else was focused on you.
The man beside you had been trying to talk to you for the past fifteen minutes.
"You here alone?" he asked, leaning a little too close.
You barely glanced at him. "No."
"Really? I don’t see anyone with you."
You sighed, keeping your eyes on the field. "I’m not interested."
That should have been enough, but the guy didn’t seem to get the message. "Come on, don’t be like that. It’s just a conversation. Let me buy you a drink after the game—"
A sharp whistle blew, signaling the end of the match.
Sae's opponent team had lost.
Sae had scored the winning goal.
And now, he was walking toward you.
No—stalking toward you.
The moment you met his gaze, your breath hitched. His teal eyes were locked onto yours, intense and unwavering. The entire stadium was still roaring from the match, reporters scrambling to get post-game interviews, cameras flashing in every direction—
But Sae didn’t stop for any of them.
He walked straight past his teammates, past the staff, past the security trying to control the crowd. He climbed the stairs to the VIP section, his expression unreadable, his body language eerily calm.
The guy beside you straightened, probably realizing that something was off. "Uh… is he coming here—?"
You didn’t even get to answer.
Because in the next second, Sae was in front of you, standing so close that you could see the sweat still clinging to his skin. He didn’t say a word. He didn’t need to.
His hand cupped your face, fingers tilting your chin up—
And then he kissed you.
Right there. In front of everyone.
It wasn’t a soft, tentative kiss. It was firm, deliberate, a clear statement. His lips moved against yours like he had nothing to hide, like he wanted the whole world to know exactly who you belonged to.
The stadium fell into chaos.
You could hear the gasps, the frantic clicking of cameras, the commentators losing their minds. But none of it mattered. Not when Sae was pressing into you like this, not when his thumb brushed against your cheek in a silent mine.
When he finally pulled away, his voice was low, meant only for you. "That guy bothering you?"
You swallowed, feeling your heart race. "Not anymore."
Sae scoffed, casting a cold glance at the man beside you before turning back to you. His lips quirked up slightly—something smug, something dangerous.
"Good."
And with that, he walked away, leaving the entire stadium—and the world—shaken.
The next morning, your phone wouldn’t stop ringing.
"BREAKING: Itoshi Sae’s Secret Lover Revealed!"
"Football Prodigy Takes a Stand for Love in Viral Moment!"
"The Kiss That Shook the Sports World!"
You groaned, burying your face into your pillow as notifications kept flooding in. You barely had time to process before a familiar voice interrupted.
"Stop looking at your phone."
You peeked up to see Sae leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, looking completely unbothered.
"Sae," you mumbled, holding up your screen. "We’re literally all over the news."
He shrugged. "So?"
"So?! You literally kissed me in front of thousands of people!"
His teal eyes glinted with something smug as he walked over, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "You didn’t seem to mind last night."
You glared at him, but your red cheeks betrayed you.
Sae smirked, slipping into bed beside you, his arms wrapping around your waist as he pulled you into him. "They would’ve found out eventually," he muttered against your skin. "Might as well make sure they know you’re mine."
You sighed, melting into his embrace. "You’re unbelievable."
"And you love me for it," he murmured, lips brushing against your ear.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help but smile.
Yeah. Maybe you did.
‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵

The talk : Dick Grayson X reader ( with Bruce Wayne)
Tumblr media
A/n : it's a snippet, I might consider writing it fully
Warning: suggestive but not explicit
Summary: it's time for the bees and bird talk with Dick
***
Bruce walking in on a young adult! Dick and his girlfriend y/n getting cosy between the sheets.
Obviously, as a normally functioning adult and a father, even if just a foster one, the batman takes it upon himself to have a talk about bees and birds with his favourite son.
He got it all planned out, schemed, thought out to avoid surprises and misunderstandings.
He actually had the contingency plans from A to Z drafted for a while, only hoping that those would never come to use.
Unfortunately, seeing y/n, with her blouse undone, hair a mess and Dick's hands (and apparently more) on her, forces Bruce to retreat to hide the blush creeping on. The last piece of his dignity is gone and he is pretty sure there's no good way to recover from such a failure.
He had reached the ultimate botttom.
"Hey B, you good?" Hours later Dick found him in the batcave, engrossed in some feigned, quickly fixed work. It was too easy to figure he would hide there to avoid seeing or - god forbid - hear anything.
"Hm."
"You wanted to talk to me about something, didn't you?" He grinned, delighting in a way Bruce seemed to develop an eye twich.
"Hm".
"Great. I got some time before I get back to y/n, so?"
"Get back?" Bruce turned to face his son and immediately regretted it. He seriously wished to erase the sight of lipstick and love bites on his neck.
"Something wrong?" Once more dick flashed a smile, trying to force a reaction out of Bruce.
"hm."
"we're being safe"
"Amazing"
"and she's okay with it"
"Great"
"And I've studied female anatomy so I know a thing or two about --"
Oh dear lord...
"Dick." Bruce was an inch from having a spasm. How ironic it would turn out to be if gotham lost its protector because of certain golden boy growing up.
"hey did you know that --"
"Get out, Dick."
"But I thought you wanted to--"
"I said get out"
"-talk?"
"I believe you got it all wrong. It was Alfred. Yes. Alfred wanted to talk to you. Not me."
"You sure about it B? You want me to talk to Alfred about -"
"yes. Absolutely. Now go. I'm sure time is of essence"
"it is. Though Alfred took some time off, thanks to your generosity, Bruce. So I'll go, sure, but I've already got so many questions that I don't want to search online and--"
"Dick?" Y/n voice sounded dangerously close to the batcave entrance "Where are you? I'm gonna have to go soon and I need a proper goodbye --"
"coming!!!" Dick yelled rushing off the room " great talk, Bruce. We'll continue it later."
Dick left and Bruce was finally able to let out a groan. The masterplanner forgot to acknowledge the fact that sweet kids tend to turn into feral, hormonal young adults and require actual upbringing.
***
"you're so mean to him, you know that?" Y/m muttered, once again with his lips on hers
"mean? Who, me? Ouch! You're hurting my heart here princess."
"you are. He could easily be a DILF, yet is alone and you're tormenting him."
"but if you saw the look on his face --"
"you're only proving my point of you being mean".
"I'm sure he'll get some, some day--"
"but still- mmm!"
"I remind you that you enabled the plan baby.... Played quite an important part in it." Dick started kissing her a little harder, not even trying to hide where he was heading. "Wonder why that is..."
"cause you're also a -- ohh!"
"you were saying?" He smirked, looking up at her.
"-prick"
"Am I?" His hands moved where she liked it "what else?"
"liar..." She gasped. While it was true he didn't tell her why he invited her over and that his father was in, his movements were serving as a pretty good apology.
Even if knowing Dick it was obviously also a way to boost his ego and prove his point and complete his twisted and deranged plan.
"you know what, I've already had one talk, I don't really need another.... Rather keep my lips occupied with something else --"
***
Bruce came out of the batcave only after making sure it was safe.
Mentally cursing himself for having not one, but four boys under his care.
Which meant that this - whatever it was-- was about to happen again.

TO BE SO LONELY, part two
Tumblr media
summary: after the pouges forget her special day, y/n meets someone the pouges aren’t too pleased with. (heres part one if you haven’t read it yet)
notes: here is the long awaited pt two, im sorry this took to long. i’m in the middle of finals and im trying to get back into writing (p.s theirs another important note after the fic)
warnings: language?
Tumblr media
after the big fight at the chateau rafe drove them to the beach, more specifically the one they first interacted at.
y/n quickly slipped off the helmet and walked towards the water without a word said.
as she got closer and closer she placed the helmet and shopping bag down and continued walking.
“y/n!” rafe yelled trying to catch up.
“y/n!” he yelled again a bit more sternly making her stop in her tracks.
he quickly caught up seeing as he was walking very fast to keep up with her “please talk to me” he softly spoke as he stopped in front of her.
“there’s nothing for me to say” she spoke back clearly lying as many tears rolled down her face.
“you’re allowed to be upset y/n” rafe says placing his hands on her face, wiping her tears away.
“how come everyone forgets me” y/n’s voice cracks as she speaks.
Tumblr media
after y/n broke down at the beach rafe thought it would be best for her to stay at the cameron household for the night.
waking up to the sun peaking through out the expensive silky curtains the rougtledge girl rubbed her eyes.
her eyebrows furrowed at the unfamiliar smell of the sheets she was laying on, turning her body around she saw a sleeping rafe.
she sat up, carefully doing her best to to wake rafe and succeeding.
y/n’s eyes gazed around the room that was clearly rafes. it pleasantly surprised her how organized his room was, the way all his expensive colognes were organized, no laundry on the floor and the pictures of his family and him displayed along the walls.
“good morning” y/n turned to rafe who was now rubbing his eyes as she was minutes before.
“good morning” she smiled as he pulled her closer kissing the top on her head.
“how you feeling baby” rafe asks.
“better now thanks to you” y/n grins looking up at him “what time is it?”
rafe grabs his phone from the nightstand by his side “its 12” he says.
“i have a shift at 1” y/n sighs leaning against rafe.
“can you cancel it?” rafe trys to reason.
y/n chuckles “thats not exactly how a job works, wheres my phone?” she asks.
“under your pillow” y/n reaches for it, hopingit doesn’t explode with messages when it powers on “i also put it on silent so we could sleep through the night” rafe chuckles.
“thank you” y/n smile up at him before checking “jesus christ” she quickly says as she was right about the phone blowing up and
scrolls through all the missed notifications.
“you okay?” rafe asks observing her face.
closing her eyes, y/n takes a deep breath then setting her phone down onto the bed and started to get out of the plush cameron bed.
“woah, woah, woah, where you going sweet thing?” rafe quickly followed now standing in front of her with his hands on each side of her face caressing her soft cheekbones with his thumbs.
“rafe” y/n smiles and tilts her head up looking at the tall boy.
“you know, not all of us can be kooks” sending him a sad smile.
Tumblr media
shortly after rafes constant attempts to get y/n not to go to work he accepted his loss in the battle and dropped her off.
she was 2 hours into her shift and nothing had gone wrong yet, but of course she knew something was bound to happen seeing as her brother and his friends new where she worked so it was all just a matter of time.
as soon as her break hits she’s pushing the back door of the the store open for some fresh air only to be met with the pouges.
“what do you guys want” y/n spoke sitting on her usual break bench and gave into her fate.
“i don’t understand why’d you do this to us” john b speaks up first.
y/n eyebrows furrow “i didn’t ‘do’ anything to do” she emphasizes the ‘do’ “not everything is about you bee” using her brother nickname only reserved for her.
“i never said tha-“ john b interjects.
“but thats what you meant, you know i’m actually happy?” y/n humourless laughs then begins to raises her voice “i don’t remember the last time i’ve even been this happy and the second you find out its not in a way you ‘approve’ of you want to try and take it from me”
“we-“ jj tries to interject something else but y/n doesn’t even give him the chance as she grows angrier every time they say something.
“you know he hasn’t bothered you guys in months but you’re all too self absorbed in your fucking shit to even see that and where the fuck was all this when john started dating sarah” y/n’s voice quivers but also grows louder as she stands up “huh?”
“i always supported you and sarah” y/n addresses the young couple making eye contact with the cameron who continued to remain silent “nice to know kindness is a one way street with you guys”
“y/n we never meant to try take away your happiness” kie spits out as y/n starts towards the door.
she turns around to face the pouges “then what were you trying to do?” they all look down at the ground or just stay silent.
“that’s what i thought”
Tumblr media

Just wanted to say I love the way you write Wheeljack! He is my favorite and I don’t think he gets enough love ♥️
Tumblr media
Circuits and Wires Pt 5
IDW Wheeljack x Reader
• Part of him still has trouble really believing that you’d rather stay with him than a safer bot. One that might have more time for you, but he’s glad for it. He’ll take as much of your time as you’re willing to give him. Knows he’s distracted a lot, that he forgets things, but you give him something to focus him and he does try. He’s used to working through his recharge period or forgetting to refuel a few times, but he’s also very aware of you, your needs reminding him of his own.
• “Break time, big guy,” you yawn, laying a hand on his arm, when you really just want to sprawl on him while he works and take a nap. Your head is pounding and you feel oddly exhausted. His schedule isn’t exactly human friendly. “I’m dead on my feet, so I know you must be.” His head turns, vocal indicator panels flickering a sickly yellow as he stares at you. “Not literally,” you add before he can try to grab you and run you to Ratchet. You’d figure out the hard way already that some sayings and idioms go right over his head.
• “Sorry, got a bit caught up,” he murmurs, freezing when you lean your upper body on his arm, your cheek resting on your own outstretched arm, feeling your warmth against him. How long has it been since he took a break? Since you ate anything? It had been a surprise to find out humans are supposed to eat throughout the day normally when you’d only been eating once a day to accommodate his schedule and hadn’t said a word of complaint. He’d only figure it out because he’d overheard Bee and Bluestreak talking about their humans. Vocal indicators flickering guiltily, he gently picks you up in his other hand, venting when you just lay your cheek on his servos. “Are you okay?”
• Squinting up at him, you pat his servos. “Just tired.” The headache had been sliding toward a vague queasiness for a while now and you know it’s from going all day without eating, but you didn’t want him to have to stop because of you or to worry him. There’s a vague concern that if you bug him too much he might bring up giving you away again. You know it’s silly to be afraid of that, but you can’t help it. You’re not even really hungry anymore, anyway. Sleeping sounding like a better plan, you’re just so tired and he’s warm.
• By the time he reaches the rec room, you’re asleep in his hand, one of your arms curled around his servos, clinging to him. There’s a box on the back counter of human food that he raids as he cradles you to his chassis and grabs an energon cube for himself. Finding a table to set the cube and your strange food on, he runs a servo between your shoulder blades, rubbing. “Come on. You need to eat for me.” Making an adorably sleepy sound that hums warmly through his spark, you peer up at him as he holds you to his chassis. “We’ll rest after,” he promises as you finally straighten a bit, though your head and shoulders are still drooping. Carefully picking up your food and nudging it at you until you take it, he’s aware of the curious looks he’s getting from the other Autobots at the way he’s holding you against him as you eat, but he couldn’t care less. Let them whisper about him, it’s not like he isn’t used to it anyway. He’s always been the outsider, the one they whisper and gossip about, laughingly calling him a mad scientist behind his back. They all scoff at him, but not you. And you’re all that matters and he strokes your back with a servo as you eat, before reaching for his own energon.

Hiii!! Im not sure if you take requests but if you do could you write something for regina goerge (2024) x fen reader please? Thank you
Tumblr media
[Mean Girls: 2024] Regina George x Female Reader
[Requested]
Summary: Upon growing closer and ultimately becoming official with Regina, you finally understand the saying that home can be a person.
Word Count: 1.76k Content Warnings: A very brief mention of sex Category: Heavy Fluff || One-shot + Preference
[A/N]: I've been wanting to write for her ever since I saw the movie, so thank you for requesting this! I hope you'll like what I was able to come up with. The last part of it was more of a drabble, but overall this was fun to write.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Rough day?” Regina had asked you once you seated yourself in the passenger side of her jeep. You blinked, surprised she had already taken notice of your slumped and fatigued demeanor, but you responded regardless. “Yeah, it just felt like today went on forever. I didn’t think eighth period was ever going to end,” you murmured, smirking to yourself, amused. Regina, when you glanced up at her, was frowning at your words. She ignored Gretchen’s request to hurry up so they can get away from the school and instead took hold of your hand, giving it a small squeeze.
Before shifting into reverse and backing out, she lifted your hand up to her lips and pressed a small kiss against the backs of your knuckles. “Don’t worry, baby, I’ll make sure you can relax. It’s the weekend now, so you don’t need to worry about anything.” You hummed and nodded, face slightly flustered from her actions. She shot a grin your way before her attention focused in on the road ahead of her.
Like usual, the Plastics were going to meet up at Regina’s house after classes, just as they always had. Karen and Gretchen planned on informing their Queen Bee Regina about the latest gossip they had heard, though you already knew they had made half of it up just to stir the pot around school. You generally paid no mind to them when they started talking about drama. You couldn’t understand why Regina was so interested in it all – sure, it helped her gain the upper hand here and there, but it hurt so many people in the process.
You grimaced to yourself when you looked out the window, the soreness from the day already creeping up on you and causing you grief. With your focus pointed outside at the passing terrain, you hadn’t taken notice of how Regina peeked over at you, clearly having heard your small hiss of pain when you turned your head. As Cady and the other two Plastics blabbered on about god-knows-what in the backseat, Regina kept her worry centered on you. After you flinched again from hardly moving your limbs, she huffed, making up her mind.
“I’m gonna drop you guys off,” she announced to the girls in the back, who all stared at her for a moment, purely dumbfounded. “What?” Gretchen started, “But we always go to your house after school. You promised we could come today.” “Well, I changed my mind. I’m dropping you off at your houses instead.” Once again, Gretchen tried to argue against this sudden decision, though a sharp glare from Regina quickly forced her to press her lips shut again. She groaned and slouched down into her seat, causing Regina to roll her eyes.
Curiously, you eyed her from your seat. She felt your attention on her and glanced over at you from the corner of her own eye, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Gently, she squeezed your hand. A silent promise that it would be alright soon.
Tumblr media
Almost immediately after making your way into Regina’s bedroom, you spotted one of her shirts draped over the back of the chair stationed at her desk. With a small smile, you plucked it from its original spot and hoisted it over your head, pulling it down over your body and sighing when the scent of her perfume met your senses. Always a comforting smell for you, which she was very much aware of. Each time you came by, she made sure to spray on a little extra.
Your feet led you over to her bed after you kicked your shoes off. Regina was still downstairs, briefly mentioning to her mom that you were going to be staying for the entire weekend. Her mom put up no argument, like usual, and you soon weren’t alone in the room anymore. You had situated yourself on your side of the bed, bundling up against her pillows while you mindlessly scrolled through your phone, and she could feel strings tugging at her heart at the sight, a prideful grin painting her lips.
She joined you on the bed after changing into more comfortable clothes: sweatpants, a loose t-shirt, and the fuzzy socks you had gotten her for her birthday a few months prior. She climbed onto the mattress, sighing at the relief the plushness provided her. Wordlessly, she shuffled until her hip met yours. Her arm slung itself over your shoulder and pulled you to her until your head was resting against her own, then her head dropped to rest on top of yours. Soothingly, her hand ran itself up and down your arm, and her soft lips pressed a chaste kiss to your temple.
Moments like these were what you cherished most. There was no drama to listen to, no prying eyes from other students, no snarky remarks directed your way, no stressful work to deal with. Here, in Regina’s arms, you were able to unwind and feel safe. As she tugged her phone off of her nightstand to click through TikTok, her other hand slid up to your scalp, nails dancing slowly through your hair in such a heavenly way that you couldn’t help but feel your eyes instantly flutter shut at the sensation. When you hummed in satisfaction, she grinned, then pressed another kiss to your skin.
“Ew, why are you back on my feed?” She suddenly questioned beside you. Puzzled, your eyes pried themselves open to glance at her phone, unsure if she was talking to you or not. Thankfully, she was talking about a random girl from school. You couldn’t help but snicker and watch as she immediately tapped the “Not Interested” option and continued her journey through her page. Upon hearing your small laugh, she let out her own and glanced at you.
“What?” Was her question, soft and playful, accompanied by an amused smile as she studied over your features. “Nothing. I just wasn’t expecting you to talk. I thought you were about to fall asleep. I know I am,” you explained, mirroring her smirk.
She shrugged and shook her head, briefly turning back to her phone. “I might. This week kind of kicked my ass.” You could only groan at that for a moment. “Yeah, same.”
A heavy sigh unwillingly slipped past your lips, and you didn’t have to look at her to know she was staring back, fueled with concern. Weakly, you rubbed at your eyes before letting them fall shut again. She said nothing, but you heard her phone click off and get placed back down on her nightstand. Her eyes were trained on you, you knew, but you were too exhausted to meet her gaze.
Instead, you focused in on the comfort she was effortlessly provided you with: fingers toying delicately with your locks, her own weight supporting yours, arm wrapped protectively around your shoulders, occasional pecks against the head. You felt your eyelids growing heavier with each passing moment. A quick yawn passed from you before you nestled further against Regina.
“Scoot closer.” Interrupted from your thoughts and once again being pulled away from sleep, you groaned and opened your eyes, looking up at her with confusion. “What?” “Scoot closer.” You did as told without another word. With a bit of effort thanks to your heavy limbs, you managed to slide over onto your side, which she did in return before pulling your head against her chest. Now feeling fully enveloped in her arms, your body went slack, much to your long-awaited relief. As her hand returned to play with your hair, she shuffled for a bit, trying to get comfortable.
Finally, she settled with a sigh of her own.
“I love you. You know that, right?” She murmured against your head, speech slightly slurred from her own exhaustion. You nodded. “I love you too.” Her nails drug effortlessly against the nape of your neck as she let out a yawn. “If you ever just want us to be alone after school, or… actually, whenever, all you have to do is tell me. I’m gonna get annoyed with Karen and Gretchen anyway, and Cady’s starting to get on my nerves too, so it would be nice to spend more time alone with you.”
A grin broke out across your lips. “Okay.” Silently, you wondered to yourself if she had ever been this soft to anyone before. When you had first gotten together with her, you worried she was going to treat you like she had done to everyone else. However, much to your relief, instead of being met with cold glances and meaningless sex, you found yourself constantly being showered in genuine compliments, longing gazes, soft touches, and plenty of promises for the future.
As she held you in her arms, you couldn’t help but tear up a little, truly feeling safe and secure with every bit of her warmth wrapped around you. Digging your nails into her shirt and burying your face into the soft fabric, you sniffled, which immediately caused her to tense and lean back to look you in the eye. “Woah, baby, what’s wrong?” You laughed and shook your head, the sight of your smile easing her tensed form. “Nothing at all. They’re good tears, I promise.”
Briefly, she eyed you, wanting to ensure you were being truthful. When you softened your gaze and smiled wider, she sighed, nodding and pulling you back against her chest.
Sleepily, Regina huffed out a small chuckle and closed her eyes. “Why’re you wearing my shirt by the way?” She questioned softly. You blushed, one of your hands instinctively slipping down to toy with the collar of said shirt and tug it up to your face. “It just… brings me comfort. That’s all.” You paused. “Is it a bad thing that I’m wearing it?” A quick shake of her head settled your nerves, though she further soothed you anyway. “Of course not. It looks good on you, baby. You should wear my stuff more often.”
You giggled. “I’ll keep that in mind,” you murmured in reply. It only took a few moments before you felt her melt into you. With your head rested against her chest, you were able to feel her breathing even out, slow down, then deepen, signaling she had finally fallen asleep. You yawned, knowing you were going to follow suit shortly after.
Your fingers dug in a little deeper to her shirt as you pulled yourself as close as possible to her. As your eyes fluttered shut, you hummed. “I love you.”

Skipping through the town square, you dodged a few stray people, bestowing them large smiles and letting your bag swing as you passed through. You hummed something to yourself, basking in the sunlight. Summer was in full bloom, and you reveled in it, feeling as though you were in a whirlwind of happy things.
Maybe you shouldn't be out here by yourself. Maybe you should have told someone where you were going, like your mother or a maid or something. But it was just a quick pop into the market, to say hello to a few people and maybe get something pretty for yourself.
The arduous years of school had ended in the spring, and you'd proudly taken your diploma and hung it in a silver frame on your wall. A part of you mourned the loss of that time, knowing the innocence of those years would be pried from your hands and twisted into something worth marrying. But the other held onto the spark of youth that somehow hadn't been doused by your parent's warnings of the future.
"A young lady shouldn't wander the streets by herself." "A young lady needs protection." Given your father's prominence, there were legions of Peacekeepers at his disposal, and he'd made empty threats of putting one or more on your tail. But you waved them off. They were nothing but air.
Clasping the hands of a woman behind a vendor's stall, you squealed, bouncing on your heels. "Oh, Ember you've outdone yourself this week." The jewelry spread out across the wooden surface of the table was exquisite, metal twisting around itself, stones embedded as the tiniest of details. You held up a pair of earrings, letting the light catch the gold and emphasize the red shine of the tiny rocks nestled in the crafted design. "Would it be alright if I got these?"
"Of course, honey," she smiled, taking the coins you slipped into her hands. Counting them, she frowned and tried to pass a few back. "That's too much-"
"Really? Could've sworn you undercharged." Grinning, you swapped your old earrings out, stowing them safely in a pocket of your bag.
Ember gave you an exasperated look. "Now-"
"It's been a pleasure, I'll see you next time!" You tossed a few more coins on the table, letting them rattle and clink against each other as you broke into a run, skipping away. Ember's laugh followed you like an echo, and you smiled as you pictured her shaking her fist at you.
Your new earrings bounced against your cheeks as you ran down the alleyway and down the lush forest path, holding your skirts in both hands. It was always while running that you felt the freest. And so you did it over and over again, through the trees and streets, through every place you could think of.
With the wind on your legs, you felt liberty's sweet caress all around. It lifted the corners of your lips and practically made you levitate. If feathers sprouted from your limbs and air built up under your arms, sending you soaring into the clouds, you wouldn't have been surprised.
This could be your life. Dancing around town and supporting your friends in the way they needed you to. Nodding along to your father's requests and then turning your cheek. This was boundless, beautiful-
You smacked something firm, the force of it knocking you backwards. Shoulders hitting the dirt, your hair became a curtain over your eyes that you didn't part right away. The collision had stolen your breath, and you chased it back, finally able to grasp and shove it back into your mouth.
Blinking wearily, you swept your hair out of your eyes and got a good look at what had interrupted your joyful flee. A man, clothes tattered, face streaked with dirt. A hat shaded his eyes, but you could see the firmness in them.
An apology bubbled up, escaping your lips as you scrambled to your feet. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where-"
"You're the mayor's daughter." The words were frozen like glaciers, and you lifted your lips in a sweet smile, hoping to thaw him.
"If you'll excuse me-"
His hands were gripping you tight suddenly, roughened nails leaving imprints on your skin. You gasped, wiggling in his hold and trying to squirm away. "I really...if you'd just let me go-"
"How much d'you think Daddy's gonna gimme for givin' his pretty daughter back?" The question sent snakes slithering up your spine, wrapping around your throat. The look in his eyes was haunting, hungry. You cried out, trying to reach out and push him away but he held your wrists fast, twisting one and sending a sharp pain up your arm.
It happened before you could even think. Your knee shot up like a missile, landing between the man's legs. When he shouted, releasing your arms to clutch himself, you caught a glimpse of his mouth. It was unclear whether he was missing teeth or if they were blackened by dust.
You didn't stick around to find out. Now your running had a new purpose, and you sprinted down the road, sobs moving past your lips choked and desperate. Hot tears stung your cheeks as they poured down like rain.
Fear struck you like an arrow, hitting dead center. Over and over you'd been told of people who would be out to get you solely because of the position of your birth, but never before had you witnessed it. As you reached the edge of town, darting back through the narrow alleyway and leaning on the wall to catch your breath, you shuddered involuntarily and hurriedly wiped the tears away from your face.
"Are you alright?"
A gasp clenched your breath and your head snapped up, heart pounding before you realized who stood before you. A tall man in a Peacekeeper's uniform with blue eyes like cornflowers, clutching a weapon. Your shoulders sagged in relief, and your eyes fell to the ground, foot toeing at the cobblestone. "I'm fine."
"You don't look fine." His voice was low and you managed to meet his eyes, holding your chin high.
Studying him, you were almost surprised at how young he appeared to be. Close to your age, surely. It was such a strange thing, to be so close in age and yet so starkly different.
"I'm fine. I'm just having a bad day," you said, wiping your eyes again. It felt humiliating to talk about what had just happened, and so you sealed your lips.
The Peacekeeper's mouth was set in a firm line, and you could tell he didn't believe you for one second. "May I walk you home?" Now you could see the flicker of recognition in his eyes, and you knew the idea of your father was bouncing around in his head. Maybe he wanted praise, or a monetary reward. The chances of him doing it out of the goodness of his heart were low.
Mustering a smile you hoped was sweet, you shook your head, clutching your bag and sidestepping him. "No thank you. I'll manage."
"You're-"
"I'm fine!" you called, already walking away. This time you clung to the shadows rather than enjoying the sunshine. Nobody else needed to see you like this.
It was embarrassing enough that a man with eyes the color of the sky you so badly wanted to soar into had.
Tumblr media
The delicate lace of your curtains looked so pretty in the sunshine, and you clasped them in your fingers, pleased to find them warm. Lying stretched out across your bedspread, you smiled brightly, kicking one foot up into the air. The bundle of wildflowers on your nightstand was tied with a ribbon, and their sweetened scent greeted your nose.
It had been a perfect day in the forest, lying amongst the flora and fauna. You'd brought your picnic with you as usual, reading to yourself and enjoying the quiet. In the past bit you'd hardly been able to have a moment to yourself, making today all the more magical.
Since that awful day a week ago you hadn't breathed a word to anybody about what had happened, although you knew your mother suspected something was wrong when you came home with dried tear tracks staining your face like berry juice.
She'd occupied you with social visits of all kinds, to people far and wide across the town. There were only so many parlors you could sit in, so many polite smiles you could offer for so many days in a row before you went crazy.
Of course she meant well. But today was your day, and you had enjoyed it immensely.
Your father's voice pierced the quiet and you sat up when you realized he was calling for you. Swinging your legs to the side of the bed, you stood and stretched, muscles popping like bubbles. It was rare that he summoned you before dinner, and you wondered what he wanted to discuss now. If it was the prospect of another son of a wealthy acquaintance you wanted no part of it.
Making it to his office, you paused in the doorway. Had you known your father wasn't alone, maybe you would have taken the time to smooth your dress or run a brush through your hair.
Standing there in front of him was a young man in a Peacekeeper's uniform, blond hair buzzed to his scalp, hat under his arm. You shyly clung to the frame and watched them exchange words for a moment before they noticed you.
When the other man turned it hit you like a stone. Those eyes. The color of a summer sky. You were frozen for a moment, staring at him and feeling nothing except your heartbeat pounding your ribs. His gaze didn't tear away from you either, and for a moment you felt as though you were the only two people in the room.
What was he doing here?
Your father broke the tension, clearing his throat. "I'll expect you back here tomorrow."
"Yes, sir." The man tore his gaze from you and nodded at your father, shaking his extended hand. "I look forward to it."
On the way out, he paused, giving you a nod. "Miss." You tried to ignore the flutter in your chest.
It wasn't until the front door shutting announced his departure that your father spoke to you. "That was Private Snow."
"Ah." You nodded, shifting on your feet and further entering the room. "Is he going to be here more often?" Now you were imagining him standing guard with the other Peacekeepers protecting your home and family, gorgeous eyes piercing your soul every time you left the bounds.
"Yes." Your father smoothed his beard, studying you. "He'll be here for you."
Straightening, you tilted your head, brow knitting. "For me? What-?"
"For your protection." Before you could argue, he firmly said, "An incident was brought to my attention recently. Apparently, you were seen hysterical in an alley."
Your lips parted and you tried to speak, the words coming out in a pathetic stutter. "I...it was...nothing-"
He held up a hand, effectively silencing you. Your fingers found your skirt, twisting the fabric and clenching it tight as every possible excuse swam through your head. But you could see now that it would fall upon deaf ears. For every time he'd warned you, he'd finally made good on his threat.
"You've been far too careless," he began, each word with an edge like a knife. You swallowed, bowing your head as he continued. "Running around town and cavorting with whoever you want. That ends now. It's very clear you can't handle yourself."
Tears were pricking your eyes, and you suppressed a sniffle. This was humiliating, to be reprimanded by your father for something that wasn't even your fault. In a whisper, you tried, "I didn't mean to-"
A shake of his head cut you off. "Private Snow will be accompanying you from now on wherever you go. You'll have constant supervision so I don't have to deal with you every time you get yourself into something stupid. There will be no further discussion." He turned back to his desk, waving a hand and indicating your dismissal.
The walk back up to your room was slow and shameful. Frustration brimmed at the edges of you, poking and prodding at your head. Constant supervision...already you mourned the loss of your precious alone time, the freedom you had enjoyed. Now you would have a shadow trailing behind you carrying a gun.
Shutting the door, you let your tears fall freely, though no sobs parted your lips and split your soul open. You tried to convince yourself that maybe this could be okay. It wasn't like your routine would be interrupted. It only meant that he would be there.
Sniffling and drying your eyes, you took a deep breath, eyes falling on the wildflowers again. It would be okay. Everything would be okay. It was for your own safety after all.
You tried to picture it then, a prophetic vision. The man who'd looked at you in a way nobody had before, who'd awoken some strange feeling in your heart protecting you.
It stayed with you for the rest of the day, trickling into your dreams.
Tumblr media
In Coriolanus' life, he'd been mildly interested in a great many people. Ones who could aid his journey to the top or help him play the game of the Capitol's choosing and change the rules for him. He'd been interested, is all.
But he'd never been utterly enchanted by anyone before. Not until you.
All too often he chided himself. The daughter of the mayor, the girl he was only supposed to be keeping an eye on. Really, whatever he was feeling needed to stop immediately. It was blatantly unprofessional.
And yet here he was, standing in a field under the shade of a tree and watching you use your skirt as a makeshift basket as you gathered strawberries into it. Tucked haphazardly in the crook of your arm was a messy bunch of wildflowers. Your hair was loose, taken out of the braid he'd watched your mother approve before you left the house.
You were a vision, something not meant for his hopeless eyes.
Coriolanus took every bit of his life as a Peacekeeper seriously, but this was another matter entirely. It perplexed him how much more committed he'd found himself once every aspect of his duties were steered in your direction.
He'd once felt fascination for Lucy Gray, whom he'd pulled every stop for to get her out of the arena. A girl with a voice like a songbird whose dedication to her found family had inspired him. She had been his ticket out of poverty, and he clung to it with every fiber of his being. When his methods had been unveiled, resulting in his life sentence to the military, he'd kept at his trying, attempted to bribe his way to her.
The attempt had failed, and now he was in Two, among forest confines. At least he wasn't breathing in coal dust. And now there was you.
Given strict instructions on where you were and weren't supposed to go, Coriolanus had known you would be a stubborn case. From the moment he'd recognized you in the alley he'd gotten the feeling that you were as free spirited as a bird. Your father had seemed all too happy to hand you off. Coriolanus hadn't understood why until this morning.
"It's not dangerous," you'd protested in the kitchen this morning, cutting a few slices of bread. "I go there all the time. There's nothing but trees."
"Your father said not to allow you to go past the town limits," he countered, voice firm. He felt like a giant next to you as you delicately gathered your food into the wicker basket shaped like a heart, pink linen lining the insides.
Giving him an exasperated look, you brushed a stray strand away from your face. It had been bothering him for a minute, and he'd longed to do that exact thing. "What could possibly happen if you're going to be with me the whole time?"
Huffing slightly, Coriolanus felt the beginnings of a headache twinge at his temples. A week into this endeavor and he could already tell you were going to be difficult. You fought him at every turn, pleading with him to let you go literally everywhere on the list of prohibited places.
The market on the wrong side of town. A nighttime club with live music. And now the forest, which had particularly been emphasized to him by your father.
You'd batted your eyelashes and shut the lid of the basket. "Please? You've done such a good job at keeping me safe. And it's not that deep in the forest, just a little bit of a walk."
The white dress you were wearing was edged with fine spun lace at the neckline, exposing your collarbone. He tried not to stare at it, tried not to make it so obvious that he found every angle of you beautiful.
Unhelpfully, the look you were giving him reminded him of a doe, the pretty one who pranced among snowflakes in the picture books with rich illustrations his mother used to read him. He was struck dumb for a moment, staring at you.
"Okay."
The little squeal you gave was worth it alone, along with the way you grabbed his wrist and squeezed. "Thank you!"
Now he was watching you in your element, feeling like he'd stumbled upon a nymph. Your essence trailed behind you like fairy dust.
You spotted him watching you and threw him a sweet smile, one that gnawed at the edges of his heart. He somehow found it in him to snap to his senses, boots crinkling the grass as he made his way over to you. No longer did he have to carry the enormous Peacekeeper's gun, only a small one at his hip. This was one of many perks of working directly for your family, among being moved from the base to the servant's quarters of the house, and of course, you.
Now close to you, he solemnly said, "We should head back," expecting your face to fall or for you to try and pout your way into thirty more minutes. Coriolanus had grown accustomed to your methods in very little time, as they were tried and true.
Instead, you nodded and tried to shift your flowers up the crook of your elbow. "Could you take these? I want to put the berries in my basket."
Coriolanus removed your bouquet, feeling a little silly as he watched you deposit the strawberries. The skirt of your dress was lightly stained with red juice, and he wondered if it was as sweet as you were.
You reached your hand out from where you were kneeling, about to take the flowers when you groaned, letting your arm fall. "My hair. I have to braid my hair. Hold on-" you gathered it up and let it fall behind your shoulders, clumsily separating it into three sections. Your movements were messy, the result a crooked pattern traveling down your back. Tying it off with your ribbon, you reached up once again, expecting him to hand you the bouquet.
He was staring at your hair, frowning. You re-emphasized your hand. "I can take them now-"
"Your hair doesn't look anything like how it did when we left." He studied the messy attempt, and you half smiled.
"It's fine. Nobody pays attention to that."
Coriolanus pressed his lips into a firm line. If you came back looking even slightly like you'd been in the forest, his entire position could be jeopardized. It was bad enough your skirt was stained, but that could be played off. There was no place in town you were allowed to go where you'd be able to take your hair down. Women around here always had it pinned up or pulled back in some way.
Anxiety pulsed at his heart as he imagined what would happen if you were discovered. He'd be disciplined for not following orders and sent back to the barracks, maybe even demoted. Worse, he wouldn't be allowed to be near you anymore. You, who were quickly becoming what he orbited around.
Dropping to his knees and setting your flowers to the side, he paused before he touched your ribbon. "May I?"
You raised your eyebrows. "it's not a big deal Coriolanus."
He ignored how his name sounded with your lips wrapped around it. That was something he could dwell on later, when he was staring at the ceiling and trying to fall asleep. Instead, he gave you a look. "Just let me."
Shrugging, you faced forward and nodded. He untied your ribbon, fingers unweaving the mess you'd made of your soft hair. It was pretty- tumbling down your back like a waterfall, and he savored holding it.
Coriolanus combed his fingers through it once before meticulously separating the sections. You were perfectly still, the peace of the area enveloping you both. He was lost in the task for a moment, carefully weaving the strands together.
Your soft voice lilted his ears. "How do you know how to do this?"
"My cousin used to have me braid her hair," he murmured distractedly, careful as he smoothed one section before folding it over another. "Every day before she went to school."
"Oh." The word was quiet, and he had the feeling you'd have turned around if he'd have let you. "Do you miss her?"
He was surprised by the question, swallowing and nimbly finishing the bottom half of your braid. "Yes." Nobody had asked him about his family since arriving. The closest had been when he'd filled out the Corso address on the form that directed where his pay would be sent.
Tying the silky white ribbon around the end, securing your hair in place, he cleared his throat and sat back, getting to his feet. "All done."
You lifted your eyes to him, and he was rewarded by that sweet smile again. Coriolanus held out his hand and you took it, standing up with your flowers in one hand and your basket hooked over the same arm. For a moment, your soft hand stayed in his, soft fingers wrapped around his palm. "Thank you," you breathed, meeting his gaze.
It took a moment for him to find his words. Even the mere sight of you shook him to his core. "You're welcome."
On the walk back home, you let go of his hand and he mourned its loss for a moment before you slipped your own into the crook of his elbow, eyes darting around the space. He'd noticed you do this on the walk over too, searching the space as if you were expecting something to appear from the tree line.
As you walked quietly beside him, he thought of the first day he'd seen you, with tears falling and eyes blown wide. You'd come from the forest then too, and he wondered what had scared you so badly it had lingered. You bit the inside of your cheek and took in a shaky breath.
"I'll keep you safe." The words slipped out, but he made no attempt to remedy them.
If his heart was going to spark every time you looked at him, it would be a fire in no time. You searched his eyes, squeezing his elbow. Even through his uniform shirt he could feel your hand warm from the sun. If he wanted to (and he very much did) he could count every freckle you'd gained from your time outside.
With no more than a smile and a sweetheart's demeanor, you'd ignited something so untouchable in his soul, something that almost scared him. It was untouchable, boundless. An ocean of wonder he was only beginning to set sail on.
If the boat capsized and drowned, he'd go happily.

Yunho x Reader |1K- 1 Trope|
Tumblr media
>> 1K- 1 Trope series: A start of me to start publishing/ Get back into writing, 1 character, 1 Trope, 1 K words <<
>>Fake Dating<<
>> Summary: Back in town, you stayed with your parents for the duration. During a reunion with them and your childhood friend, you ask him to be your fake date to get your sweet revenge on the self-proclaimed 'queen bee' who made you despise your high school days. It doesn't help that you used to have the biggest crush on Yunho. But that was years ago, right? <<
>> Rating: Fluffy/ SFW <<
"I know it's a silly idea but please think about it." You smiled pleadingly, Yunho only shook his head while laughing.
That's how you asked him to pose as your partner for the upcoming High School reunion. The situation was… difficult. You're high school bully turned proper trophy wife, well fiance, couldn't stop spamming the group chat about 'How excited she was to meet everyone's partners' as if not to only flex with her own engagement.
So, for the reunion and a little vacation, you were back in town, staying at your parents house. And through them you also heard about Yunho being in town.
Your childhood friend, turned teenage crush, you lost contact with over the past five years of college.
"I'll do it." Yunho then smiled after a moment of contemplation, that felt like eternity to you. An eternity where his eyes didn't leave yours ONCE.
The next afternoon came quick. You were by no means surprised, Yunho was always handsome, but something about the glasses, the soft brown hair and his look just screamed boyfriend in the best way possible, and you couldn't have thanked him any less. He took that mission more seriously then you anticipated. Especially when he grabbed your hand with a smile, interlacing your fingers.
On the way to the school you talked details- you lost contact throughout the first year of college, reconnected some faithful new years and then started dating shortly after, since 'the spark has always been there'.
And with that, you traveled the short twenty minute walk to the school building where the reunion was hosted, and were sooner then later already greeting your old classmates left and right.
While hugging some girl you never really got along with, with a bright, not-quiet fake smile, you could feel Yunho close behind watching you. When shaking a guys hand, who greeted you with a shy smile, happy to see you again, even if you forgot his name, Yunho was right next to you, taking his hand next, with another hand placed gently on your back.
And when it came to the final boss, and you hugged the still fake blonde overly giddy, self proclaimed 'queen bee', it was Yunho who followed the greeting with a dismissive wave, instead of engaging in her attempt to also hug him. Her smile dropped the slightest bit.
This was already a win, on your part.
"I figured when you said you and your plus one you were talking about a dog, or something." She laughed at her own joke.
The response was instant, and you couldn't even comprehend what happend as Yunho placed an arm demonstratively around your waist, and pulled you closer, a quick peck on your cheek and a sickening sweet smile later he said,
"Well, I have been asking to get ourselves a puppy for the new apartment, but she's been INSISTENT on no pets. A real shame."
It made you chuckle a little, both in surprise at the sudden physical affection, and the nonsense he was talking.
The night went on smoothly. After that first encounter, the biting comments stopped, and you spent the remainder of the evening with people actually worth your time. Yunho was always around you, a hand on your lower back, an arm around your shoulder, playing with your hand in his, just always in contact with you. You even caught him looking at you a few times mid conversation, no matter who was speaking.
A few drinks, conversations, and hours later, you were exhausted. And so, you said your goodbyes and left. The first few minutes of walk through the dark, cooled down town, you were holding hands.
"Thank you again." You smiled squeezing his hand. You felt the heat of alcohol, and the blush of a fresh breeze creep up on your cheeks. The alcohol also made your words bubble up with ease.
"It's so funny that I got to live my high school dream at a high school reunion" you chuckled. Yunho raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" He asked with a small smile, and an illegally cute crease in his forehead.
"I used to have the biggest crush on you." you could only laugh, feeling bubbly after the evening and the champeign.
"You did?" he asked, eyes big in surprise, and it made you laugh just a little more.
"Yeah. But then college started and i felt like it was the distance I needed to get over it." You breathed after catching your laugh again, a faint smile of the memories to that time on your lips.
You looked up to him, not your fault he was this tall, and saw him look straight ahead into the distance. Something about his expression… nearly wistful.
"Damn" he breathed a little quiet- "So I did have a chance."
The silence of the quiet street was loud in your ears.
"What?"
Yunho looked at you, the the smile a little shy, the eyes a little… melancholic even.
"So… I did have a chance. Had I told you then." It made your heart stop for just a moment. You spent the last five years getting rid of that- this feeling creeping up in your chest to choke you until no words could come out of your mouth. The wave of repressed feelings crushed down on you without any warning.
And with that, and the alcohol, the words bubbled up like soda pop.
"You still do." It made his smile drop a little, with a flicker of confusion on his face.
"You still do have a chance." It was suffercating, and you were surprised the words bubbled out with more confidance then you wouldve expected. You felt like you had no air to breathe, yet your words sounded clear through the quiet town.
"Then how about we repeat this,"
He smiled, coming to a stop on the street, making you stop as well by still holding your hand tight.
"but as a real date?"
"Yes"

Now that Ford was back in Gravity Falls and everything had finally settled, he went out to explore the forests again. Stan had just chuckled and told him to better stay in one piece and be back for dinner.
Ford made sure to walk a straight line pointing away from his house. If he followed it for long enough he would eventually reach a part of the forest he had never before seen. So he did.
It took him about five and a half hours to reach that point. Out here, the forest looked... greener. He wanted to say lighter but that's not true. The sun shone the same way it did anywhere else. But the colors of the trees and plants looked more vibrant somehow.
As he walked he made sure to note down anything he hadn't seen before. While Ford was examining a plant he didn’t know a butterfly landed on it. Ford smiled and pulled out his journal, trying to get a quick sketch of the little guy in his notes.
The insect had other plans though and soon flew onward. Ford followed it with his eyes for a second before his legs decided to follow the creature until it settled again. It had such a pretty pattern on its wings, he really wanted to draw it.
His plans worked out and he got a nice drawing of the butterfly. As Ford stood and looked around for the path he'd been on, he noticed that he had strayed off of it quite a bit. Making the best of a bad situation he decided to just explore this part of the forest instead.
After a few minutes roaming aimlessly, he came upon a clearing. In the middle of that stood a little wooden house, tinier than his own, in parts overgrown with moss and vines. It wasn't abandoned though. There was smoke coming out of the chimney.
His curious nature getting the better of him, Ford decided to approach the house. As he got closer he saw some creatures scurrying around the house and away from him. They seemed very fluffy, it must have been beard cubs, he decided.
Ford carefully walked around the house, trying to see where the animals had run off to. Behind the house he found a little garden where someone had planted vegetables, as well as a little pond that buzzed with dragonflies, bees and all kinds of other insects. The sounds were rounded off with some croaks from frogs he couldn't quite locate.
It was truly idyllic. But it was also a long way from all other people. As far as Ford could tell, he was their closest neighbour. He turned back towards the house and walked back around to its front door.
Ford knocked on the door. It took a few seconds and then the door swung open, revealing a way younger-looking person than he had anticipated. For some reason Ford had assumed that he’d be greeted by some sort of witch that was way older than he was.
The person who had opened the door looked truly surprised. They hadn't been expecting any visitors today.
After a few moments of stunned silence on both ends, you realized who this man in front of you must be. "Oh, goodness! You must be the new neighbour! I am so sorry I never got around to welcoming you properly."
This caused Ford even more confusion. You smiled at him and tapped your forehead as you realized why he was irritated. "Oh, I see. Sorry about that. Why don't you come inside for a cup of tea and I will explain what's going on here?"
Ford just nodded and let you lead him inside. As Ford looked around you introduced yourself and he did the same. He found the house even more charming on the inside. It was decorated with lots of plants and a surprising amount of candles. The rooms were way better lit than he would have assumed from the outside.
It was comfortably warm and a faint smell of lavender hung in the air. While Ford was sitting down at your kitchen table you prepared some tea for the both of you. "So tell me, Ford, how did you find me?"
"I was out in the woods, exploring a part of it that I had never been to. I lost the path I was on because I was... sort of... blindly following a butterfly." He rubbed his neck sheepishly. While he spoke, he looked around your house, really taking in all the little decorations you had scattered around every surface.
You chuckled at his words. "Yes. It happens to the best of us." A few moments later you had finished the tea and brought it over to the table, sitting down in front of Ford, who looked at you with pure curiosity sparkling in his eyes. It was adorable.
"So who are you? Why did you call me your new neighbour? And what did you mean by welcome me? Aren't you a little young to remember me moving to Gravity Falls?" You smiled at him and hummed. His questions were more than justified.
"Yes. Well, actually I assume I am around the same age as you are. I inherited this little cottage from my mother about two years before the reclusive scientist moved into the forest."
You watched Ford's eyes widen as he came to understand that you were telling the truth. "I really wanted to visit you and welcome you into the neighbourhood, but I didn’t get around to it for a couple of weeks. Then, the gnomes started telling me about some mean man capturing creatures."
Ford furrowed his brows, a hint of shame bubbling up inside him. "As you can imagine, I wasn't particularly thrilled to hear that. I went out to confront you about it, but the creatures stopped me, they were worried you'd capture me as well. So instead, I just helped them from here however I could."
Ford shook his head. "I never meant to harm any of them! I only came here to study." You sighed and nodded. "Yes. I know and I believe you." He looked back up at you with an apologetic look. Then it changed into an inquisitive one. "Why would I have tried to capture you?"
You chuckled at the question. "Because I am a witch, silly!" Ford's mouth fell open. How could he not have realized this? "Did you really think I would still look this good if there wasn't at least little magic involved?" You winked at him and he blushed slightly.
You took a sip of your tea as Ford tried to sort his thoughts. Before he could get a new one out a frog jumped into his cup splashing him with liquid. You huffed. "George! You know you're not supposed to do that!" The frog just croaked at you and you countered with a stern look.
You stood and took the cup with the frog back to the sink. "I'm so sorry about him. I'll get you a new cup." Ford thanked you as he tried to wipe at the wet stains on his turtleneck. When you turned back around to him and set the new cup down, you frowned at his clothes.
"So sorry about that as well. Here, let me help you." You chanted a short spell and soon enough Ford's clothes were dry again, no stains left behind. You smiled. "Perfect. Like it never happened."
Ford was speechless as he sat back down. Nearly speechless. "So does he do that often?" You chuckled a little embarrassed. "More often than he should, definitely." Ford joined you with a chuckle.
"So does... George... live with you in this house?" You hummed in thought as you looked over at the frog relaxing in the now almost empty cup. "I always say that my doors are open to any woodland creature that wants to be here. There's only two that really take me up on that though. George over there," you pointed at the frog, "and Theresa."
Before Ford could ask who that was you moved your arm in an apparently very specific way. Ford watched as a little rose-colored snake slithered out of your sleeve and onto the table. He smiled. It was an adorable snake.
You two continued chatting for a while and when you had finished the pot of tea that stood between you, Ford remembered that Stanley had told him to be back by dinner. "You could take my bicycle. As long as you promise to bring it back."
With a smirk from you Ford blushed again. Yes, you'd be happy to see him again.
Ford took your offer and promised to bring it back tomorrow. You were in no rush to get anywhere but you didn’t tell him that. You just smiled at him as he left your house.
He was back the next day. And the day after that as well. You two quickly became closer and even the forest creatures learned to resent him less.

Story Idea Time :D!!
OK so recently I've been getting into ASMR videos (I still don't know how given I used to hate them and now we're here XD), but anyways. In some videos they eat these edible rocks/crystals to make sounds and stuff, the exterior is crunchy but the inside is like jelly.
(¬¬This guys over here¬¬)
Tumblr media
So when I saw the blue ones, I was like "mmmm, they look a bit like energon.... wait a sec"
(YOU CAN'T TELL ME THIS DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ENERGON!! LIKE THE COLOR AND EVERYTHING IS TOO SIMILAR!!)
Tumblr media
(HERE'S A PHOTO FROM THE SHOW FOR COMPARISON. LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND TELL ME IT DOESN'T LOOK THE SAME XD)
Tumblr media
So now I imagine the TFP kids making some DIY edible rocks/candy to simulate they're eating energon!
I think Miko would be the one that has the upper hand in this since one of the ingredients for the recipe comes from Japan (agar agar), so I HC she likes to prepare herself this rocks and brought with her some agar agar so she could make some during her time in America. So when she makes this connection with the energon, she immediately drags along Jack and Raf to make some!
They make some at Jack's home since June wouldn't question the intention of the rocks. And they decide not to tell the bots since they wanted to surprise them (foreshadowing lol!)
Once the rocks are ready (apparently you have to let them rest for almost a week), Jack brings them to the base to share with his friends.
And once they're gonna start indulging in it, the chaos starts lol!
Ratchet, seeing they're about to consume "energon", raw "energon" nonetheless, absolutely panics and almost pushes it out of their hands so they don't intoxicate gkkhhox
Bulkhead would try to make Miko spit it out since she would have acted like a chipmunk that puts the food in it's mouth when startled to run away quickly khchkchk
Arcee would immediately start shouting (in concern, but she's hiding it under anger) at Jack for trying to eat something they know is toxic for humans
Bee would start panicking and almost crashing out thinking Raf is gonna die (again)
I think Optimus would try to calm down everyone and ask the kids why they thought that was a good idea to do (and also panicking on the inside cause wdym his adopted-human-kids-but-can't-say-it were eating raw energon???)
And once the kids explain that no, it's not actual energon, never less raw one, it's a candy that looks like a rock and it's safe to eat, the bots would finally calm down after that sparkache
.... And then it starts again once Miko pulls out a bottle of blueberry water with edible glitter that makes it look like refined energon KGDYYKFHKHOCHO
(¬¬This type of thingy¬¬)

Let me know what you think about this silly idea!! I'm probably gonna try and do a one-shot based on this concept so I can start writing TF fics and getting the hang of writing the characters (and writing in general lol)

Cassiopea and Orion #3
#1 #2
A/N: Finally got some time to continue working on this... to be honest this was pieced together through a bunch of different lunch break writings... sorry if that shows. Also @kizzer55555 totally love your addition on #2! Honestly I squealed when I read it! You were nearly spot on on what I had in mind to where I wanted to go with this story line. Tho I hope you don't mind that I took a bit of inspiration from you while writing some parts of this.
A/N2: Also you guys *sigh of fondness for the dpxdc fandom* originally I wasn't going to tag it just yet but I guess I will now, even if I have no experience writing it and only tried to sort of hint at it a bit for readers interpretations: Spirit Halloween 👻
Ellie frowned watching these people, still sitting on her spot on the railing. Once their initial excitement quieted down and the seriousness of the situation took over, she was left with nothing more to do than to watch the situation unfold before her. A part of her was surprised about the amount of information the big bad bee had on Danny. Some of which she thought was information that previously only Tucker, Sam and Jazz had. But apparently Ellie had been wrong.
Massively wrong by the amount of information she was seeing here. How long had Danny truly been in contact with this guy? There had to have been more than just the occasional phone calls she had caught him on. Did that mean this guy also knew about Dan? About the GIW? About the Infinite Realms? If he knew about all this why, why didn't he help sooner? Why hadn't Danny made contact with this guy sooner either? She did notice him pausing at certain points before continuing like nothing was happening. It didn't look like the onlookers minded, but to Ellie it was an indicator that big bad bee knew more.
She stayed silent the entire time, only muttering a correction ever now on then when she did note that the guy's information was outdated. Still something bothered her the entire time. Ellie didn't know what it was exactly, but the grim faces of the onlookers and the stoic nearly cold sounding explanation of big bad bee rubbed her wrong.
It was only at the end of it that she realize what it was exactly that had bothered her so much.
"What about family? Does she have anyone else left?" One of the onlookers asked and Ellie's head snapped up towards them. That sounded like... no, they weren't...
"According to her, Phantom lost his haunt. Including the code she gave to Robin, we can assume that there is no other safe place left. Unless..." Armored furry turned towards her, and Ellie stiffened only slightly as it appeared that they were finally going to address her again. "What is the status of Plasimus."
"You know about him too huh..." She muttered, not looking at any of them. "Castle is gone, whereabouts unknown, Mom was worried that he was one of the first after the first one of no contact, but that's not confirmed. Nothing turned up to indicate that."
Ellie didn't look up to see the reaction in regards to this information she shared but her head did snap up at the next words she heard. "And your brother?"
Wide eyed she stared at the man that had moved and was now before her, hands carefully placed on her shoulders as he bended down slightly to be on her eye level. Her mind was racing. He knew! This man knew about Dan. Distantly she heard one of the onlookers complain that in all the Infromation Bee had given them he had not mentioned about Ellie having a brother. She didn't react on that, instead searching that man's face despite it being half covered by a bat shaped cowl.
She wasn't sure what she was searching for but she wasn't finding it. Now she wished she had paid more attention to Grandma Pandoras lessons on Aura reading. Dan was in Far Frozen, put into stasis and protected and cared for by Frostbite and his tribe. The other ghosts were looking out for him too, they would do the same for her if she had a way into the Ghost Zone but both portals were gone and Danny, Wulf and Cujo were the only ones currently able to open portals. She wasn't even sure if they knew what Danny had done to protect her.
As her mind wandered Ellie did not realise that the people around her took her silence as some kind of answer. She did not realise how those she doubted onlookers shared grim and saddened looks. Nor how the man before her squeezed her shoulders ever so slightly as if afraid that she would brake any moment.
"Do not worry. You will be safe here with us." The armorer furry reassured her, drawing her attention back to the current moment. Suddenly her earlier suspicion came back to hit her in the face as her eyes once more widened.
"What do you mean?"
"We will take you in and you will be safe and won't have to fear them with us."
She was sure that was meant to sound reassuring but it wasn't. It made her stomach sink. With a moments use of intangibility she pushed away from the man floating backwards and putting more distance between her and these people. Danny gave her the code, told her to use it in a dire situation. That she would get help with that code. That they would help! This didn't sound like the help she wanted. She hadn't even gotten to explain the situation from her side. All they did was apparently assuming something all because of that stupid code Danny, her mom, gave her.
"What about mom?!" She didn't scream but by the faces she might as well could have. "The code was to get help! Mom needs to be rescued! Why are you acting like you won't! Danny promised I would get help when I use it!"
"Danielle." She halted and froze. That tone was stern and it was missing the gravel she had previously heard in that man's voice, it sounded the same way Danny or Auntie Jazz sounded when they needed for her to listen.
"Wait B! I don't think-"
"The code Danny gave you. It's his last resort code, personalised to you. It is one of our many codes we both came up with for our children. One only for situations we did not believe to come back from alive."
"W-what?"
"Aquila, Apus, Phoenix, Cygnus, Columba, Grus, Pavo and Corvus. Each of them has one specific Code personalised for the exact same situation you are in. I am sure Danny has mentioned them to you at least once." Ellie blinked finding a familiarity with these words but also frowned with the realisation that set in with that. Her eyes unintentionally wandered over to the onlookers, no birds, these codes belonged to. She couldn't really tell which belonged to who but she knew Danny must have come up with them as some sort of inside joke.
"B! You can't just-"
"But Mom..." Her voice sounded small even to her own ears.
"I am sorry. But you will be save with us. I promised Danny that years ago."
She knew that her de-aged body was probably influencing her emotional state as she slowly floated back into reach. Before she could sit back onto the rail like she had done the entire time before she felt herself getting dragged to the side and suddenly warm arms encircled her. Ellie blinked confused until her brain caught up. The bird in blue was hugging her. The warmth felt comforting, just like when Danny, Jazz, Val or Sam hugged her and for a moment she let herself enjoy it. Dropping her guard just for a little bit to draw comfort from this warmth.
While Nightwing distracted the little girl in his arms, he made distinctive eye contact over her head with his siblings, before indicating his head towards Batman. Red Robin and Signal nodded before moving towards the man, Robin trailing behind them after he shared one more glance with him. His eyes turned towards Red Hood. The other wasn't even looking at any of them as he was already on his way stomping right out the cave, ignoring everyone around him. Nightwing was going to make sure to send any additional information they would get from Danielle his way later too. Black Bat and Spoiler stayed close to him.
It was moments like these that Nightwing really appreciated the silent understanding he and his siblings had among each other and if Batman was to much into his own head with these stupid codes and apparently already grieving. Then they would step up and if they could give the little girl in his arms the kind of help she had clearly hoped to get from them. It wasn't a promise of safety that the Danielle was looking for or even needed, rather she was hoping for people willing to help her rescue Phantom, her parental figure, her mother, her family, when she had no one else left.

A Love as Sweet as Honey
Steve Rogers x Reader
Running
Word Count: 1.0 K
Warnings: Just some Fluff for our favorite super soldier and his sweet little Bee.
A/N: I've been struggling to write for a while but I saw a TikTok where a little boy wanted to go on a run with his dad and thought that Bee would want to do the same. It's just a little something to help me get inspired again.
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Steve took a deep breath of the crisp morning air. He rolled his shoulders back and did his regular stretches. The sun was barely up but he was ready for his morning run. Steve loved going on these runs. They helped clear his head especially after a difficult mission. Steve stood by the open garage door ready to head out when the pitter patter of little feet caught his attention.
“Daddy?” Bee’s sweet and soft voice fills the morning silence.
Her golden hair was a mess from just having woken up. She makes her way over to Steve once he crouches down and leans into his chest. Steve moves his hand up and down her back as he smiles down at his little girl.
“Good morning, sleepy Bee.”
“Mo-ning.” Bee tips her head back and smiles up at her daddy. “You leabings?”
“I’m just going on a run. I’ll be back before you know it.”
Her eyes brightened at the news that he would be back. Bee opens her mouth to say something but stops and sighs.
“What is it, Bee?  You can tell me anything.”
“I wanna go wuns.”
Steve smiles. “Yeah? You want to go in your stroller?”
“No I wanna wuns like you daddy.”
“Oh,” Steve smiles. “Do you think you can keep up?”
“Mmhmm. Am so fast.”
Steve chuckles. “Ok well how about you go have breakfast, get dressed and then I’ll come pick you up for our run.”
Bee jumped up and down excitedly before running back inside. Steve took out his phone and sent you a quick text about the plan before he left for his run.
Tumblr media
“Mommymommymommy.” Bee called out while she searched for you.
“Yes Bee?” You poked your head out of the kitchen.
“Bweakfast please I habes to be fast. I go with daddy.”
You smile already knowing what she is going to be doing. “Ok, come sit down please.”
“Otay.”
Tumblr media
Steve had just stopped in front of the house when the front door swung open. Bee made her way to him with a bottle of water which she held up for him to take.
“Thank you.” Steve takes the bottle and drinks almost all of it. “I needed that.”
Bee giggles.
“Are you ready for our run?” Steve crouches down again and zips up her yellow hoodie just a little bit more.
Bee smiles at him and nods. She looks down at herself and puts her foot out.
“Oh yeah we have to make sure our shoelaces are tied so we don’t trip. Good catch. Alright now you have to do some stretches with daddy ok?”
“Otay.”
Steve does some small stretches with her. Bee takes it very seriously and does everything her daddy does.
“Alright, wave at mommy.”
“Bye mommy.” Bee waves excitedly before she leads the way down the running trail.
Steve is surprised that Bee is keeping a good and steady rhythm. Her two little pigtails bob around as Bee pushes forward.
“Having fun, Bee?”
“So much.” She replies without stopping.
Steve is barely jogging as he stays by his baby’s side. Bee is determined to complete this run and she turns around every once in a while to make sure her daddy is keeping up.
Tumblr media
“You did so good, Bee. I’m very proud of you.” Steve says as he walks in carrying Bee.
She’s red faced and sweaty but her smile is bright as she half babbles to her dad.
“Thanks, daddy.”
“Finally.” You walk out of your bedroom. “I thought you were going to run around the world.” You exaggerate. They were barely gone for ten minutes.
“Well our little Bee here ran so far it took us a while to get back. And she ran all the way with no help.”
“You did?”
“Mmhmm.” She gives you one big nod. “Am so fast.”
“That’s my girl.” You stretch your arms out to take her. “Now you need a shower cuz you’re all sweaty and stinky like daddy.”
“Should we make mommy all stinky too?” Steve whispers in Bee’s ear.
“I heard that.”
Steve chuckles before giving you a quick kiss on the lips. Bee giggles as she goes with you. She goes on and on about how much fun it was to run with daddy. Bee mentions all the birds and little critters she saw and how beautiful the morning was.
“It’s my favowite fing evuh.” She says as you wrap her in a towel.
“What’s your favorite thing ever?”
“Wunning with daddy.”
“It was my favorite thing too, baby.” Steve smiles down at his little girl. “Why don’t I finish getting her dressed, you’ll be late for your meeting.”
“Thanks. Alright Bee, go with daddy.”
She’s still wrapped in her towel as she shuffles towards the door where Steve picks her up and takes her to her room.
Tumblr media
An hour later you are walking back in through the front door. Since you’d be working on reports you didn’t need to be in your lab. The house is quiet but you know Steve and Bee have to be here somewhere. You find them in the living room. A princess movie was playing on the tv and the two of them were snuggled up on the couch. Steve was laying on his back while Bee used him as a bed. Her chubby cheek pressed against Steve’s chest. They were both enjoying a midmorning nap.
You smiled and took in the scene before pulling your phone out to snap a picture. With a smile on your lips you go into your office, letting them enjoy their nap.
Steve and Bee were like two peas in a pod. You loved the relationship they had. The way Steve and Bee would sit on the porch on a rainy day and sketch. The way Steve held her and danced along to his oldies playlist in the kitchen. Now you could add running to the ever growing lists of things they love to do together. You could only hope that list would grow.

What if Rhaenyra had taken over the raising of her siblings
I'm going to write more detailed posts on each of these heds eventually (and possibly add more heds here)
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong area or missing something... But I'm surprised that there's almost no discussion of what would happen if Rhaenyra took over raising her younger siblings. I found literally ONE (1) fic about this and it`s shame! For example, if Alicent died giving birth to Daeron (yes, I'm willing to sacrifice her for that). And Rhaenyra, who shortly afterwards welcomed her first child and felt that incredible overwhelming rush of oxytocin love for Jace, couldn't stand looking at her dear friend's baby childrens (and to a lesser extent her younger siblings) who were left alone . It was obvious that Viserys was still Viserys and didn't really care for them. So Rhaenyra asked her father for permission to raise Aegon, Helaena, Aemond and the newborn Daeron alongside Jace and her future children. Sorry, but I'm just in love with this idea: Alicent's children receive the same amount of care, unconditional parental love and acceptance from their older sister as Rhaenyra's children (!!!)
Aegon grows quite calmly without greens pressure. He has plenty of attention but also a lot of freedom and, accordingly, doesn't try to drown out his anxiety about unwanted responsibility with alcohol and sex from a young age. But even when his adolescent interest in these things manifested itself, it is hard to imagine that his foster mother, represented by Rhaenyra, would have condemned or tabooed it. Most likely, she simply kept it under control and sent Laenor or even Harwin bc girl can dream to talk him about the birds and the bees
Helaena's prophecies will be heard. Rhaenyra spends quite a lot of time with her little sister. Because as much as she adores all her boys, it's the baby girl (long-cherished dream) who fascinates her the most way. Everyone around says that the child acts strangely for her age, but Rhaenyra doesn't see anything too disturbing in her behavior. Over time, she begins to pay more attention to what Helaena saying, and at some point she remembers Daenys the Dreamer
Aegon can make really funny and inoffensive jokes. One time at dinner, he decided to make a joke about Aemond's dragonless, and Rhaenyra looked at him with suuuuuch disappointment, that he never wanted to be the cause of her look 'like this` again
So yes, the boys never bullied Aemond because he didn't have a dragon. But Rhaenyra, who realised his need very well, supported the desire to get one. Perhaps at some point she told the family that she and Aemond would be away for a while and took him on Cyrax's back to Dragonstone, where they stayed for several weeks. But when they finally returned to the capital, Aemond was riding Vermitor.
Aegon and Helaena were not engaged and didn't get into an unhappy marriage later.
Daeron is definitely staying in King's Landing. Because there is no way Otto would have any leverage! But the main motive for Rhaenyra was the inadmissibility of the little boy being cut off from his home, and heritage. And most importantly, Daeron and Jace grew up practically like twins and could not bear to be separated even for a short time.
Aemond is this one, who is most outraged about the rumors about the ancestry of her older sister's children and takes it as a personal attack. Because… because he has very personal reasons!
At Laena's funeral, Helaena approaches her grieving cousins and hugs them one by one, and then says something to Rhaena something about ‘the morning will fix a lot of things’. No one understood at the time, but the orphaned girls were visibly comforted, and for the first time in her life, Helaena Targaryen had friends.
Aegon was going through a phase of severe pre-pubescent crash in Rhaenyra and for several months in a row he tried to challenge Laenor to a ‘death duel’ to ‘free his sister from the chains of marriage’. A few years later, when Laenor ‘died’, it was Aegon who took it the hardest of all the children.
Aemond has the better (perfect) Valyrian pronunciation and two eyes:)
to be continued...
my apologise for any mistakes, english is not my native language and I typed this in a rush at my office instead of the royalty report
