James Potter x Regulus Black: A teasing game

Regulus wasn’t wrong. What James and him have been doing behind everyone’s back is undoubtedly hot.

It’s intoxicating - waiting for each other and never knowing when they’ll be alone next. Stealing glances. Purposefully wearing something to drive the other one mad. Licking chocolate or cream cheese or whatever off their own fingers when the other is staring from across the room.

Regulus has taken to putting his own hands around his throat every time he needs to crack his neck. Knowing it’ll drive James insane that he can’t put his own hands there instead.

Whispers of “you’ll pay for that” as James passes Regulus in the hall. Sticky notes scribbled with ‘I thought about you before bed last night’ left on James’ bedside table.

It’s all addicting.

It’s not unusual that Regulus and James end up seated together on public transportation. When you’re out with two couples, the two single people tend to get paired together whether they want to or not. But it’s difficult, everytime. Feeling their thighs touching, bouncing off each other when the bus hits a speed bump.

James likes to make sure it’s difficult when he can. Like now, as he trails his fingers over the top of Regulus’ hands for just a second before pulling it away. James turns around in his seat, resting on his heels so he can talk to Sirius and Remus behind him. With the cover of the seat, it’s easy for James to sneak a touch here and there. Letting his hand slip under Regulus’ sleeve. A quick squeeze of his forearm. Torture. Properly mean.

When James finally turns back around, Regulus can barely resist the desire to retaliate. So he waits until everyone is distracted and leans in just enough to whisper one of James’ favorite lines into his ear. “I’m going to make you pay for that later.”

James takes a sharp inhale and accidentally lets his hand grab into Regulus’ thigh, digging in to the point of pain. And Regulus knows he’s won this round of their teasing.

Started a "trust the process" drawing... It's very much in the beginning stages, but an inspo is from Pinterest. (Credits to the artist) i mega love this drawing, and im changing how my Human Bard, Astrid, is looking. They will have some inspo from this reference as well as others cause i have a huge idea of having them be Alt-Dark Academia and just generally hot af.. which is hard cause i still have a lot of progress for my drawing and digital art skills.

In the last chapter Remus cuts a mullet? I'm having trouble visualising it. What does it look like?

what a QUESTION i am a mullet apologist and a Remus mullet apologist in terms of what it looks like, this post from @t.h.tat on instagram is a good example of how i visualise it, or this post from @madartmouse on instagram, too is a good one!!

for irl references, this pinterest post is also very close to how I see his hair!!

most of these references don't have the darker skin colour I imagined for Remus though, so they're not accurate representations of him in the fic, just his hair!!
