Do any of the others from the sequels/"the nine" ever show up at base? Does Tucker get invited by Jimmy and Jenny to do a tech-coding project? Does Sandy show up to help Danny & Spongebob try and train Timmy in hand-to-hand?? Do they just not talk about/to Tak at all (valid)???

OH ABSOLUTELY THEY DO im always thinking about the "main" gang's friends occasionally tagging along. whenever their schedules line up of course (because they're now adults with a life lmao)

its just a personal issue of mine where im so focused on drawing the main cast i barely have energy to draw so many characters... like whats funny is that in contrary to how i depict them in my art alone, they're actually still closer and spend more time with their in-universe friends offscreen (except Timmy). i just like drawing them hanging out in particular. i am thinking of including the side chars more at some point though i just have to LOCK IN

I'm not even close to kidding anymore; I think drawing iz stuff is helping me draw more loosely and avoid getting burned out. I had so much fun drawing Gaz!! It was wild "designing" a character after the challenge that was zim. Features wise, she takes after dib/dad, so I was basically just playing dress up with her. And you know what? She can have a little outfit variation, as a treat. (The big skull earrings are clashing and creating all sorts of tangents with her face framing hair thingies, but OH WELL!!!)

cringe-fail-girl Tak, abandoned by the Irken Empire after deserting her original post, misappropriation of Empire property and interfering with military planning. Gives up, ditches the Irken uniform and gets stuck living on earth in Zim's basement because she has nowhere else to go. Spends her time wearing large band shirts and watching old angsty anime. I have no idea what compelled me to draw this.

Frightsome realization brought to me by the beginning of the Planetjackers episode.

Zim’s telescope, all the way from Earth, mind you, couldn’t just search for and fix onto other known planets in the Empire’s range, couldn’t just find the base of the local irken spy, but was in fact able to lock onto the current, exact position of other invaders themselves.

Every single one of them is wired into a database to the point of being able to immediately check one’s encoded job and identity from a quick scan. Of course they’d have the technology and the foresight to have PAKs constantly log and update intergalactic GPS data to their fleet databanks. That’s how Sizz Lorr dropped in on Zim at the Skool. That’s how the guards black-bagged him in order to bring him to Judgementia for his trial. Hell, it probably might even be part of how Tak found him.

Every irken invader, if not every Irken soldier, can be tracked and observed at any time by the empire. Some form of cracking this network may even be the method through which Zim obsessively checks in on the Tallests and where The Massive’s been lately.

But more worryingly, for Irkens at least, this would mean that permanently deserting and evading the empire is effectively impossible so long as there exists some Irken authority willing to put in the effort to chase you down. There is no corner of the universe where their criminals could find a lasting peace of mind. It also adds some more potential context behind their ubiquitous loyalty to their leadership, or why to Zim’s perception, there is no third option after success or being as good as a dead man.

I've written most of the second chapter!! It's kinda hard to turn gameplay into a fanfic but I'm trying my best. I have 2 boss battles written out, I just need to do some in between work with the other floors and it should be out soon. I have no idea how soon but hopefully before I start school again :3

I have a ton of new art to show though!! I'm very proud of all of it so far and I'm very excited to get this story out :D
