President William Ruto has thrown his support behind the Cross-Car Project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering young motorsport talent in Kenya through local vehicle manufacturing.
Backed by the FIA, WRC Promoter, and ASN, the project will work alongside technical training institutions to produce cross-cars locally. This collaboration is expected to create fresh opportunities for aspiring drivers, engineers, and technicians within the motorsport industry.
“This project will serve as a foundation for the future of motorsport, engaging trainees as young as 8 years old,” President Ruto stated.
