Traps made by Finn from Home Alone:The Holiday Heist are much more tame than traps made by other protagonists

Possible doylist reason: Maybe they wanted to make it more kid-friendly some parents complained? Although 6th turned up danger of traps again so dunno how possible that is

Possible watsonian reason: While other protagonists if not aiming to kill criminals (I mean Kevin in New York definitely did aim for that) didn't mind if they did die Finn actively tried to avoid them dying cause he just discovered his house he thought is haunted isn't he is not gonna make it haunted himself
