I get using no specific iteration of the TMNT in a crossover and just making yet another new version. After all, the franchise has had many, many different versions at this point, so it's easy to accept that this is simply one more to add to the pile.

But Naruto has... one. Just the one. So when all of a sudden characters are written/shown to have expertise that they shouldn't have at the age they're being depicted, it just ends up feeling weird.

I get that fitting things into the Naruto timeline can be a chore. Do it too early, and Sakura is kinda useless. Do it too late, and Sasuke's off murdering people. And if you try to set it after the series, the power levels are seriously gonna be out of whack.

But breaking the only canon that has ever existed for these characters makes them feel like... not the same characters. I might be the only one who cares about this, but it really took me out of the story, to the point where I couldn't help but focus on it. I don't want to be distracted from page one of a silly ninja crossover comic.

Depends heavily on the subject since I have characters who are in STEM and those aren't. Overall, though, I think it's Jonah!

Runner ups Bella and Vince though, Bella because what she lacks in literature she makes up for in maths and algorithms and Vince who's the exact opposite and can recite history books for you, but do not ask him how much 2^2 is. They're both honor graduates too (Vin not yet actually, he graduates at the end of this year).

So I need a bit of help with some technicalities, and you all appear to be more knowledgeable than I am so I thought I’d give this a try. I have this sentence here…

This might sound dumb, but I’m wondering if it’d make more sense for Will (or Halt, as Will’s a 5th year apprentice in this) to write to the Ranger of Anselm himself instead of suggesting that Arald write the baron? Like how would this work lol

And if I could borrow your brain cells a moment longer — with Will being an apprentice (albeit a 5th year one) would he have the authority to write reports/report to Baron Arald? I don’t remember anything in the text describing this. I would assume yes, because he does have an oakleaf, even if it’s still bronze. Like if Will is authorized to do everything else he does, I find it hard to believe he couldn’t write some reports loll. But what’s the general opinion?

I don't go here anymore for a good reason, but it always baffles me that people treat quirks as so straightforward. This is their quirk and this is what it does. It's registered as exactly what it is.

Where are the bitches whose quirk registry is like a technicality at best? Yeah, my quirk is creating poison, but actually it's just being able to mix specific compounds and create a set number of recipes. Yeah I just use it to create poison.

Quirk erasure? Oh no, I just have the ability to subtly manipulate people's thoughts. I make them think their quirk doesn't work. Yeah people have been comparing me to Eraserhead for years and they don't even know I made them forget their test tomorrow.

So turns out, I thought I was a fire quirk user, yeah? One of my parents were, and I never really knew the other one- so it turns out the flames I've been wielding are ghost flames. Like onibi. I've been fighting with human souls this whole time and I honestly cannot comprehend the amount of guilt I feel right now.

There are so many characters with visible quirk-altered genetics (Ashido, Tokoyami, Kouda) that have otherwise nothing to do with their actual quirks, which are always registered perfectly (duh they wanna be Heroes, they need their quirks documented).

Additionally quirks with weird precursors that no one understands. Like people who have a near death experience and then start seeing ghosts.

How did Yaoyorozu know she could create things from her body using the preexisting lipids if she needs to know the exact structure of the thing she's making??

Where are the quirks that just have odd precursors.

My quirk is that I can touch rainbows. It's pretty much the same as being quirkless, but yeah I get to be the only person who knows what a rainbow feels like.

You could feasibly create a quirk that is straight up just the ghouls from Tokyo Ghoul- the precursor is eating human flesh. Turns out, that activates the RC cells from someone's quirk, but it makes them dependent on flesh.

Why does no one in this quirk universe fucking LIE about what their quirk is. Every villain just plays all their quirk cards straight out like imagine how much cooler it would be if the Heroes finally thought they had a grasp on the villain (or vice versa) only to find out oh haha you think they CREATE fire, but no, they just SUMMON fire. The difference is that you're expecting a flaming fist to the face, but oops! The fire is coming from behind you.

Ooooo this one is tricky because it don't think about it much! I'd say my favorite trope is found family, it's always so heartwarming! Some other ones I enjoy are: romances where there is one character who likes no one other than their love interest (and still becomes a better person just for them), characters who are sneaky/suspicious but have a kind heart, and media that has any kind of art focus!(music/dance/cooking/painting/singing/etc)
